I agree. It's better if she wouldn't have known right away, but I hope Neal would have been the one who told her the truth.

It would been more dramatic to have her yelling at Neal about how he didn't tell her and she found out from whoever.

I think knowing the show Neal would have come a few episode in s1. I do think the writers Emma to be very cynical to contrast the hope of fairytales and to take longer than a average to believe the curse
|

It depends if Neal would have been in SB. OUAT loves to separate couples.

I don't know. I am just saying if Emma had been happy in a relationship in the pilot than she might have believed in the curse sooner same if she had been single but happy.

I agree. Emma had huge trust issues when she came to SB. If Neal had never left her that would have been different.

With Neal in SB she should have broken the curse sooner, but there could have been other obstacles. I think it wouldn't have happened before the season 1 finale.
