That's probably the reason, but I wish they hadn't cut it. IIRC it wasn't a long scene and there should have been time for it.

I agree and that's why (IMO) the scene doesn't count, because they could have fit it into the episode if theyhad wanted to, but decided against it.

I only wish there some ST scenes on it. Nothing important, just a few cute scenes.
