I agree. I think he wanted to forget all about it and I also don't think he would have wanted to burden Emma with the truth. Especially one that's so difficult to believe!

You're right. He wouldn't know who Emma really is. I don't think he would have enjoyed lying to her about his past, but telling her would have been too difficult. He had no way of proving that he was telling the truth and Emma might have worried that he was suffering a nervous breakdown. Emma is just not the sort of person who believes easily in things like magic.
