I think so too. And it would have made sense to introduce him in season 1. I don't know why they waited so long.

Maybe they weren't sure about how to do things. Would have been interesting to see Emma deal with Neal being back in her life while she was trying to break the curse.

 Before everyone knew who they really were. It would have been so much better to bring Neal to SB instead of August. |

I think Neal wasent in s1 because his character was surrounded with rumple. like what happend to Bae. Plus it sort made sense to have Emma embrace her role as a mother and savior before finding romance I say this as someone who was a non shipper in s1. I do think the writers drag out the mystery on who Bae for too long though. they could have brought him in the beginning of s2. It would have gotten more relationship dynamics

There wouldn't have had to be a romantic relationship from the beginning. That could have waited until season 2.

Exactly. They had more than enough problems to deal with and Emma wasn't ready for a relationship at that time.
