Especially considering why they treated him that way. To ruin an important character over a ship is just stupid. I wanted Emma and Neal to end up together, but everything would have been better than what happened on show.

I suppose I could have accepted Neal and Emma ending up with other people. It wouldn't have been easy and I wouldn't have shipped them, but if they were good people who made them happy, I guess I could've accepted it. It's just that it would have been so OOC for both of them after all those years to suddenly fall out of love. Apparently the writers thought so too. Without Emma, there was no happy ending for Neal....

I had the weirdest idea ever earlier today.
MRJ said he wasn't fired, nor did he quit. The writers said the death was permanent. If the wicked witch turns back time to a time before Neal died, there would be no deception. Because, Neal's death in the current time is permanent... but, if the WW turns back time, his death becomes null and void. OK, I'm reaching, but I'm just saying. I really feel for Rumple and Belle and Henry in this situation... I'd like them to have Neal back, at least. I'd like to see Neal have a happy ending. __________________

Yeah I'm with you guys on that. I believe Emma's true happiness lied with Neal and it always will.
What bothers me is how in the first half of S3 Emma told Neal that her secret was that she wished he was dead and then come the second half that's exactly what happened. They foreshadowed and screwed us over big time on that  ~*~*~ I did watch OUAT last night and while ultimately I want Emma to be happy and will never have another ship on this show, the Charming Family/Regina scenes were perfect so no complaints on that front. __________________
