Wondering if anyone will read this, but here goes--

I was trying to imagine a scene with the Blue Fairy for a fanfic. Normally, that helps me get a better grasp of a character. It didn't happen. The basic idea was that someone who had suffered because of something the BF did was asking her if she knew what would happen and did it anyway or if she went ahead and did something that big with no idea of the consequences (yeah, loaded question).

I realized that I have no idea of her answer because I don't really get her as a character.

So far, the BF seems to be the only character who hasn't really been allowed to get some depth to her fairy-tale ID. I know some people argue if she's good or evil, but that's not quite the problem. Any of the other characters, whether good or bad, are allowed to dip their toes on the other side. They can wonder whether their good/bad label fits or if they want to change it. They can make decisions that don't fit their label.

Good or bad, I think Blue has to fit her label. Whether the job description is just what it seems or whether there are some hidden agendas, she can't really slip from it. She can't decide she doesn't want to be the leader of the fairies anymore. She can't decide to give up her powers

If (for example) she was wrong to send Baelfire to our world, I don't know if she's even allowed to admit that on the show. If she does admit it, I don't know if the fairies can give her a no-confidence vote or if she can step down from the job. I don't even know if she gets to have five minutes of soul-searching.

So any thoughts? And any ideas on the BF's personality?

With her time on Bate's drawing to a close, it'd be interesting to see her more. I wonder with everyone back in EF and apparently dressed like they were before, if she's tiny again?
