It's hard to find out that your heroes aren't perfect but it can also be very freeing. It was a great moment for Hook to realize that he doesn't have to obtain some unrealistic idea of heroism --- he already is doing that.

It's like what I've been saying about heroes. They can make bad decisions too sometimes, and it makes me really happy when the show addresses it. It also shows that our heroes are human and flawed too. No one's perfect.
