Ok, I watched that video. The question is about why the TLK doesn't work anymore, even now that Rumple seems ready to let go of his power. I believe Emilie's exact answer is somewhat like this:

I don't think this is something she (or Bobby for that matter) has thought about very much lately, so I think that was just the only answer she could come up with in a short time. I wouldn't take it too seriously.

Thanks for that! I only heard Em's answer, not the question - and frankly, knowing the question makes a huge difference since it explains her answer.

This subject has come up recently on Tumblr, and the consensus seems to be that what Em said was true, that once Rumple blocked the kiss in SD, that was it - he'd made his choice. Some people suggested that the Darkness made adjustments so that "it" couldn't be destroyed that way again - and as one person mentioned, Emma "doubling down" on the Darkness (making Dark Hook) meant that the curse could only be broken by a sacrifice.

To be honest, while I wanted a TLK for ages, I'm glad that it didn't happen; it's far more satisfying, IMO, the way the story has played out; TLK is almost TOO easy a way out.

I agree, TLK would've been too easy. And it's not like we needed it to prove that Rumbelle have true love

You're welcome! Yeah, I guess that's what Emilie meant, and I agree with it. The Darkness is an entity with a mind of its own, so no doubt it can protect itself.

I tried (just for fun) and it's pretty much impossible to fit in if you want to include the "that's special in my eyes" bit. It's not as good without it, IMO..

Just rewatched The Bear and the Bow. What a lovely episode. And they were so good in it. His heartfelt thanks to her for not giving up on him while he was in the coma and her fighting back tears. So much great acting.

And even though I understood where they were coming from and obviously Emma was their first priority, I love that Belle stood up to her friends and made it clear that Rumple was her priority.

HIGHLY underrated episode - it's in the top few for me, it's nearly perfect.
