I was also glad on how he acted toward Will. That showed a lot of respect for Belle he hadn't shown in 4a. And I'm glad he proved those who thought he would kill Will wrong, proving once again that yes, there's still a man behind the beast. And he showed it to Belle as well. A much as I think she said it only because of the hurt/anger she felt at the town line, she did tell him "now there's only a beast". But then he came back, let her be, retrieved her heart, leaving everything else, worked with Will and let her go. If there ever was a real doubt in her that he was 100% beast now she sees the man again.

I agree. I was proud of Rumple in "Lily". It was also brave and honorable of him to face Belle "face to face" (and admit being an a ) instead of being a coward and asking Will to give her his regards.  ...
