^Yeah, I think they helped as well! King George anyways, not Regina; we still need more backstory to explain her downfall before the curse. For the king, I think that some of his own guards were plotting a cout against him themselves and when everyone showed up (Snow and the dwarves) they were joined by those king's men and Abby/Frederick and Red. They probably imprisoned the king for his actions and thus James came to take the crown. This is just guess work of course, but we know that the king is still alive since he's SB's DA.
