It is nice when they drop the act. The few times Rumple said something kind to Regina about being a good mother and raising Henry well. And the times when Regina looked happy to know that Rumple was alive..

I do not know if this has been addressed or not, and if it had please excuse me if it has, but I could not help but thinking 'what if' Cora had not modified the deal and Rumple ended up with Regina as an infant? I know Regina was not her first born. but I doubt she was willing to acknowledge that to anyone. If Rumple had raised Regina, would he have been able to go through with his plans of manipulating her into casting the curse? Or would his heart gotten the better of him and, even though she wasn't blood, he began to think of her as his own daughter? As an adoptive mom, I know personally that related genes do not make family. To paraphrase Cora, would she have been enough?

Hmm interesting theory...I reckon he possibly could have done, because he was finding his son, but he would have been harder for him....

His heart would have gotten the better of him. It had with Cora when he wanted to redo the contract because he wanted them to be together, it certainly would of if he raised Regina, or if he thought she was his.
