That, and out of everyone Ruby got the best deal with the curse. Kept her grandma, lost her wolf, even got a cool car. Maybe Regina had a soft spot for her?

That is interesting. Headcanon for me is: that Regina and Ruby dealt with each other in the past Enchanted Forest and Regina respected her for her badness. Now I hope they teamed up together in the past Enchanted Forest without Snow knowing about it.
