no surprise you throw the blame on Killian! thats Emma, THEIR daughter's TL boyfriend.

the scene at the loft when Snow talk to Emma about her secret and about the life she is trying to build with Killian, thats the kind of conversation she should have with her daughter.

noticing Emma is not okay, and instead of going to ask her whats wrong, let her know she can tell her whatever is going on, she goes and have a peep talk with Regina, because poor Gina, she has such a difficult life. forget her daughter's life was ruined because of that other woman and her revenge.

I am not putting the blame on Hook. I am putting the blame on the writers who seem to try and please both SQ and CS fans to the point that Emma cannot have a scene without one of them around unless it's her parents talking about Hook to her.

Snow saw Emma shut down Hook and Regina so Snow knew her daughter well enough to know an outsider had a better chance of talking to Emma. Well Archie agreed both parents sent him so Charming also thought that was the best course. But let's put all the blame on Snow.

And where did Emma disappear to when her parents were in danger from Edmond. He might not have died if she had stayed with them. But it comes across like Emma doesn't really give a rip about them. She acts like a young lady who is so caught up in her boyfriend and friends (Regina in this case) that she completely ignores her family.

I don't get all the blame put on Snow and Regina when Emma spends 10 x more time with Regina than Snow does.

And it's the grown child's responsibility to initiate contact with the parent. It's the parent's job to give them space. And to just let them know they are there.

Honestly Snow is a much better daughter to Regina than Emma is to her.

At that point Robin died two days earlier. I think that comforting the woman who raised you days after her TLboyfriend died is an admirable thing and not something to be used in some stupid competition between Emma and Regina. It has nothing to do with Emma at all

Oh well. Another thread to avoid due to anti Snow sentiment.

Sad thing is, if Emma dies Snow might not even be awake for it.

Well, hopefully she won't miss the funeral.

Emma's not going to die anytime soon, there's more to play out before we get to that point, by which time we know they are both awake.

I've been trying to understand this argument for a little while. As someone who has a difficult relationship with her parents who did bring me up and were loving despite their faults, I completely understand why Emma's relationship with her parents may well be not rocky, but not smooth either.

The reasons behind the selection of conversations on this show are related to plot reasons, Emma wasn't there when her parents were being attacked, because it was about Regina's development is one example.

My own opinion is that Emma hasn't been with either Hook or Regina all that much this season, but when she is it does make sense, as they are the people she's chosen as lover/friends. I spend most of my time with my husband, then my friends, and little time with my parents. Emma does spend a lot of time with her parents, and if they are avoiding certain conversations like with Hook in 6:05 there are plot reasons as it leads into the next episode. With Once you can't judge it on individual episodes as such things are always saved up for significant moments and come when it is appropriate for them to do so.

I personally loved the lengthy conversation Emma and Regina had at the end of last season, they really went into their thoughts and feelings, and I would love more in-depth conversations between all our characters, really take their time on such things from time to time. But watching old episodes of Once, show the steady gradual characterisation, and interactions have always been a staple of this show, and that has not changed.

One thing I have learnt since I joined this fandom a year and a half ago, is that you can't please all fans, and I don't think the writers do pander to particular fans as you can't write a show like this with that in mind. But I do think they are good in making the characters real, relatable, flawed people, which is why we can all have different opinions and arguments about it. However there seriously isn't any point in getting upset at other people having different opinions, what makes makes this fun is having differing viewpoints.

One of them would have to miss it. So, it boils down to which parent is more important?

The writers could work a little harder at having both Emma and Snow make time for each other. They had a nice talk after Emma told everyone about her visions. But, I heard people complain that she should have talked to Hook. It's impossible to make everyone happy.

I would love for Emma to be the one to break the sleeping curse and bring her mother back to her father, but the curse seems to be in a holding pattern.

This is an APPRECIATION thread for Emma and Snow's relationship. Kindly respect that. This is not the place to tear them down, or bring a lot of negative talk about either character or snark at them. Raising issues you have with the writing is one thing, but respect that this is a place for fans of these two characters and their relationship.
