Not nearly enough Snow, Charming, Belle and Emma for my taste. Nice to see Henry get some screentime. Jared's acting has grown immensely. The continual sidelining of Snowing and the Charming family has really dampened my enthusiasm for this show. As has the continuous propping of and glorifying and focus on the villiains and "former" villains. Except GoldenQueen which was
Although Snow and Belle talking babies is one of my favorite scenes this season. More of those two, please. And I loved seeing Snow and Charming being leaders and Charming doing his sheriff duties. Last edited by Austenphile; 10-31-2016 at 05:31 AM |

I am not a CH fan so o kinda mind slept through the episode, but here are some thoughts I had
1. The thing with Memo happened during the Dark Curse "but wasn't Hook with Cora under a spell until the DC was broken? 2. I didn't get that the kiss between Rumple and EQ was sexual. I mean Regina has never expressed that kind of interest in Rumple before and she had plenty of opportunity in the EF. What I think is going on is EQ knows Rumple is isolated and in deep emotional pain. She is using that as a weapon to get him to be her ally, but will turn on him when it is convenient. On his part, He is so lonely and and depressed. I think he is stringing her along. Just like the chess pieces in his shop, he is putting his pieces in place to checkmate EQ. 3. Wanted Belle to walk in and b slap EQ. It would have hearkened back yo when Rumple saw her kissing Will. 4. The scene with Belle and Snow was bittersweet. Wish we could have similar scenes with Rumple and Charming. |

I think it was supposed to have happened once time started again when Emma came to town. Philip and Mulan mentioned time restarting while the curse was still in effect back in 2.01. Now if that's when it happened and assuming Liam 2 wasn't frozen in time (because otherwise he would be like 8-10) then why wasn't Liam 2 older like 40? I guess he inherited the Jones genes of looking younger than your age.
And agree that Golden Queen wasn't sexual but given their past almost father daughter interactions, it was all kinds of icky. |

Couldn't as it showed him with Cora when the curse was activated and when broken. It was like a sleeping curse that froze everyone in that area until the DC was broken. Yes I noted the age thing but forgot to mention it. Don't the have a Show Bible that they can refer to?

It was not bad, but mostly boring to me and I know now that I do not care for the land of the untold stories and I wish they could make the arc of this season more like the Cinderella episode with characters from older seasons coming back like that. Maybe then they would not have to bend the time line so they can fit in a new story they made up and give the viewers headaches when they try to keep the line straight. I wish Aladdin and Jasmin would be more interesting too, but maybe it will become better in later episodes. I do not understand what the writers are thinking with the Rumbelle story and the Golden Queen kiss at all and I feel sorry for the actors because they are strong and could do so great things, but no actor I know can make a story like this look good. I am happy next week has more Snow White and Charming because to me they are the best thing about the season so far.

So Archie just flew away. I wonder if the blue fairy will be able to turn him back into a real boy.

I have to say this was the best episode I've seen yet in this series, several times I was clapping and doing happy dances, it was so good.
Liam Jones Junior: I was so happy to see him back. All through the summer I imagined him coming to Storybrooke, grown-up and wanting vengenge on Killian, and it happened! The way they had it happen on the programme was so much better than what my imagination came up with, I don't know how the writers of this show come up with such good twists and character moments. I love how this episode was exploring the father/son relationship, adopted, step-father, and strained relations between father and son (Killian and Brennan). I loved that Belle was clearly conflicted about Rumple's role in his son's life, which tied in well. It was so awesome to have a whole episode dedicated to Killian and Henry's relationship. I never imagined I would get one. I wanted far more bonding between them last season than what we got, so it was lovely to see. The way it was done was good too, the conflict and Henry telling him he wasn't part of the family, but Killian's willingness to open up and self-sacrifice himself for Henry convinced him otherwise. I loved how his words echoed Charming's from last season, 'Don't push it...'. I'm so glad that Killian now has a blood relation in Storybrooke. I wonder if he'll be in any other episodes? As much as this episode was bad for Rumbellers I think there is hope in that Belle delivered the ultra-sound picture. Not sure why the EQ is throwing herself at Rumple, is she not still grieving like Regina? She may have some other motive. Not surprised the EQ and Rumple have ended up with those shears. Will Rumple take Snow's heart in order to get them, or will he trick her in much the same way he tricked Pan last season? Also why does she want the heart, does she want to kill her or use her in some way? I know nothing about the upcoming episodes having seen no promos or bts, but I'm wondering how the EQ knows so much, is she using the Dragon or his magic to spy on everyone? |

This was a relatively easy episode to follow for a change. It was nice to see Killian and Henry start to feel more like family together at the end. Typical of the EQ to put Henry on to the shears that Killian had kept and hid in the garage. But once again, it meant that Henry showed Killian the error of his ways, and Killian told Emma the truth and she forgave him. She's not exactly doing a great job tearing the Snowing family apart. The only problem is David really.
Where did Archie/Jiminy go when Snow and Charming freed him from his cage? I'm so happy that it all turned out ok with Liam Junior and Nemo was alive. I loved Snow and Belle talking babies. The EQ being flirty with Rumple is so wrong. But I guess she's probably stringing him along in order to get what she wants - playing to his loneliness. And my bet is Rumple is on to that and has just decided to go along with it. Either way, I'm glad Belle didn't walk in on them. That would have been a sickening sight for her to see. Too sweet of her to give Rumple her spare ultrasound scan picture. Emma giving Aladdin the boost he needed to change his mind in helping Jasmine was nice. Not much else to say about this episode really. __________________
