When I think back on “Beauty”, i’m (understandably so) distracted by the incredibly romantic epicness of Rumbelle so much so that I realized, after last night’s ep, I’m a little foggy on present day Rumple: I know his goal is to break the Dark One curse for good so he can reunite with Belle, but to do that the current hyperion heights curse has to first be broken so he can be “himself”...and then get rid of the Dark One Curse? And he also has to find the guardian? Am i forgetting/confusing something?

He's already awake in HH........and his goal in HH is always going to be to find the Guardian; that's his priority.

Rumple is looking for the guardian because apparently he/she is "the only one who's destined to hold such Darkness". I have a feeling it's not going to be as simple as that, though.. And we still don't know what he's going to do next in HH, or even what happened to him after he got to EF2 (besides meeting Alice and Regina and being almost run over by Henry). Oh, and he ended up in EF2 because he went to the "moment where the guardian was (supposedly) waiting for him". Which suggests that the guardian is either Alice or Henry, but I don't know..

I think it's going to be a long and complicated journey for him to find the Guardian.. I'm hoping it won't be too long that we find out some of the answers we seek concerning what happened to him in EF2 and what is plan is in HH

Thank you Seamstress90 and Betsybelle i’m intrigued to learn who the Guardian is....and even if he’s awake in HH,would he need to return to a land with magic so he’s even in a position to fully give up the dagger? Hmm...

I’m excited to see what lies ahead!

You're welcome! Yeah, I suspect Rumple and the guardian would have to be in a magical realm in order for him to be able to give up the Darkness, but it was also established in S5 that there's magic in the LWOM too if enough people believe in it. So maybe there will be magic in HH as well when all the fairytale characters get their memories back?

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Rumple's journey, too.

I'm really looking forward to the journey ahead for Rumple. Going to be challenging for him and maybe has to change plans, the first thing is finding the Guardian, I wonder if he did manage to find him/her before getting whisked away to HH

He looked pretty normal in apperance in EF 2 - so wonder if that's because he's not the Dark One of that realm, or if he deliberately kept his apperance that way.

He looked normal in other realms too in "Beauty". So I think it's deliberate. He's finally happy and feels good about himself, thus he no longer has the need to intimidate people. The beast is gone
