I actually think Gold has a soft spot for kids. Hard to say, as Henry's the only child we've seen him interact with, but he always seems genuinely delighted when Henry wants to talk to him.

All I could think when Henry bought the bell off of Mr. Gold for MM in "The Return" was "grandpa". Of course, that's my little fantasy of Bae being Henry's father, but I could actually see Mr. Gold as Henry's grandfather.

 Mr. Gold/Rum does seem so delighted around Henry, he even seemed to love Henry's cracky logic, "I thought I'd get her a present since she didn't kill that woman." awww the smile on his face when he said "Good idea" He is such a kids person... __________________

Oh, the Charmings and the Golds.
James making comments about whether Gold is planning on turning anyone into a psychotic killer again, Gold offering the Charmings a nice slice of homemade, apple pie, Emma and Bae running around making sure all sharpened weapons are well hidden (even the ones that are only sharpened weapons), Snow wondering if maybe it wouldn't be better to spend the holidays at her stepmother's next year . . . . Henry, of course, being neutral ground and being spoiled rotten by all present. |

I posted in the Rumbelle thread about how Henry's two grandpaps were swordfighting. Adds another layer to that family barbeque, doesn't it.
 Shall we add Belle as the step-grandmother. Now that is a mindbender...mom, grandmother, step-grandmother all around the same age.  |
