I hope you're right. Besides, it wouldn't make much sense. Regina needs to keep Belle alive in order to maintain her leverage over Mr. Gold. So, killing her would be a big mistake.

We'll be so happy to see a "temporary happy ending" in the season finale with Ashley/Cinderella, Grumpy/Leroy, Astrit/Fairy apprentice and all other one-episode-showtime characters come back! But unfortunately, Belle may not find her place among them, because her poor counterpart was imprisoned in a dungeon under Storybrooke's hospital! If the writers don't need her on this show anymore, just get her KO (kicked off/killed off), otherwise the fans still wonder what will happen on her next.

Possibly. But I'm almost certain that Mr. Gold is going discover Belle in the mental asylum. We're supposed to be in for the Clash of the Ttians fairytale style for the finale. So, Mr. Gold is going to discover Regina's betrayal. So, whether it's a happy reunion or a bittersweet one, we at least know that Belle will have some sort of "temporary happy ending."

To be honest, I'd actually prefer a bittersweet ending for them in the finale. That way, their story can continue in future seasons and slowly resolve itself. I love long drawn-out angst.

Of course, it's my pleasure. And, if a happy ending was arranged, it will only be a temporary happy ending because there's a new season to go. Thus far, to my disappointment, Emma acted like a coward and tried to evade what she was meant to do, and it looked like the only thing, the only one she cared about was Henry who led her to Storybrooke at first. I don't know whether the writers will keep Regina as the ultimate vallain in season 2 or not, but one thing is for sure -- Emma will believe who she is at the finale and thereafter take her responsibility.
