Most people compare all seasons to Season 2 because they say it's their favorite, a lot of fun and also Nick&Jess. For me?

No lies, I love Season 2 so much. It was back to back great episodes. But I was NOT into Nick&Jess because I find them slapstick and I don't like slapstick comedy. I also think this is the season they started to reverse Jess' growth. I mean it didn't start in Season 1 but 2. On my rewatches I really skip a lot of her, and Nick. Cooler is also one of my favorite episodes and I love Nick&Jess kiss too. It was unexpected and I loved the tension they built before it came. Did I like the afterwards? Honestly not so much.

I loved watching Schmidt's realization of love. I can say after Season 1 with Season 2 they really hitched S/C/J/N foursome. Then they left out Winston and he was so lost.

I loved Schmece's journey and scenes so much. I also loved getting Cece in every episode. I loved Elizabeth but I never loved her more than Cece or thought that she was better for Schmidt.

What else?

So... I just finished rewatching season 2...SO CUTE!

And there's one thing that's been bugging me for years!

Who is this guy? Who is Alfredo, on Cece's Bachelorette party. Everybody seem's to know him, but before and after this he is not mentioned ever again!
Am I the only one who is bothered by this?

For any show entering its second season, there's always the looming pressure of a "sophomore slump." And after New Girl's somewhat disheartening Season 1 finale, there was some concern about what direction the show would take. But that's not to say Season 2 was all about romance. Really, if anything, this year was focused on strengthening friendships, particularly for the roommates. In addition to Nick and Jess's "Pepperwood," there were a ton of great one-on-one team-ups for the rest of the gang, including Jess and Winston's bathtub fiasco, Winston and Nick's drunken trip to the zoo, Nick and Schmidt's "Tinfinity" celebration, Jess and Schmidt's run-in with hipsters and Schmidt and Winston's lionfish saga. New Girl also revved up its flashbacks this season, giving us such treasures as College Nick and Schmidt.

However, much like last year, this season's weak link was again Winston, who usually played second fiddle to most characters' storylines. Initially, Winston's major problem was with his girlfriend Shelby, a lifeless character that constantly pulled him away from the central happenings around the apartment. And it wasn't until their breakup in "Halloween" that Winston was free to get more directly involved in the show. But even then he was frequently pushed to the side, save for a few episodes like the aforementioned "Bathtub" and "Quick Hardening Caulk." In fact, Winston's only notable thread this season was his (admittedly hilarious) misunderstanding of how pranks work.

Poor Winnie, I am so glad he could finally shine! Season 3 was not that good for him too but Season 4 and Season 5 worked out great!

although I love Winston, and he really doesn't appear much in season 2, it remains my favorite (so far)
