Generally it's better to engage people tweeting during the show. They'll just add #reNewGirl in their tweets, it's very easy actually but it's hard to make more people get invested The biggest account who RTed one of my trend tweets is Portal Megan Fox, such an irony

He sounds he's done himself and it's his opininon obviously. I find this very disrespectful to fans! They owe us "great" not "ok"... And I hope Fox will renew for a S7. Give us a short but better planned last season.

He may dislike the idea of having to wait again to run the season in out of time due to zooey pregnancy. I think I can understand his displeasure but I do not like that, knowing the campaign that the fans are doing putting all their hope in it, he ventures to make such a statement.

He could at least say something hopeful. Like "they are hoping for another season but this might be last season as well" This really sucks, demoralized me so much We were hopeful and #reNewGirl made an impact. Fox doesn't have a show like New Girl yet so if they cancel it and doesn't give us the ending we deserve they are bad people.

yes, i know. It's sucks. I understand it may be time to close the story of the roommates, but not in this season. It would be an end too ... needy, I think. If they are not willing to do a full seventh season, at least they could do a "mid season" something similar to what happened with the last season of "friends" and give fans that we needs.

Yeah they can have a shortened mid-season. Focusing on core and giving us a great ending.

I think Jake is just being honest. Usually, FOX orders a new season rather early. Or at least lets them know in advance before the official press release. This year, FOX seems to be super quiet. So it's really up in the air EVEN though the ratings are a definitely LIKELY to renewal status, according to TV By The Numbers. ALSO, I can't really blame Jake as I think the writing went down the hill from season 4 and on.

HOWEVER, I think FOX OWES the fans a true pay off. Especially Nick/Jess fans.

So a shortened season 7 SHOULD happen so the writers can close out all the storylines and give a PROPER ending. As opposed to a ONE episode season six finale with a question mark on whether there is another season.

I won't be satisfied with Nick/Jess back together for just ONE episode.

I need at least another season with them together after all the waiting and bad writing in last few seasons. AND give us a darn wedding for Nick/Jess. That SHOULD be the series finale.

NEW UPDATE: Jake wanted to clarify the interview on twitter, as I suspected they twisted his words. He was told it's a 50/50 chance of another season:
