Exactly, all we know is Schmidt's side to the story. Maybe there's more to it. I don't know but maybe he tried to visit when he was growing up but his mom got in the way. So he probably figured that as an adult it's too late to build a relationship.

Yep. I am thinking the same thing. But they talk as far as we know. I wonder who he would be. Rob Riggle as Big Schmidt was so fun I saw there was an old debate that Ray Romano would be his dad!!!

Hm, Ray, I had not thought of that. He did pretty good on Parenthood so I could see it.

Okay, I was basically referring to Schmidt saying that he was never around much. You know, like he tried but his mom made it tough. So, he backed off and kinda just popped by for the occasional bday's and a gift at the holidays.
