And she has grown, but sometimes she is taking steps back which is the annoying part.

And if we ever got another 2x05 I really may lose it. I know for sure I would never root for her again if it came to that. I would still love to know what the writers were on when they all dreamed up that idea and thought it was a good one.

From my perspective the development in 2x05 had to happen so Wade´s feelings as placeholder for George could grow in his mind. That along with 2x08 brought him to the decision to find out if Zoe and him could be more than FWB and he had to act before Zoe acted on her feelings for George and he would be left behind with his feelings and unresolved questions. He had to let Zoe know that he wanted more even if it ended badly. She still dont know the extent of his feelings, but I am sure he will get the courage to tell her some day. I just dont want him to poor his heart out to her before she makes a gesture, cause the ball is definitely in her court.

2x05 when it aired was definitely bad, but as the story has developed, the episode had its purpose for the story. For Zoe almost breaking her arrangement with Wade just shows that she is human - she has all these feelings for George and she practically had to forget about them until the timing was right. Those feelings came alive on the boat standing close to him and I dont fault her for that.

After 2x09 I think she is will be more confused than ever about the romantic future and hopefully we will se her process it all and perhaps seeing George happy with Tanzy will allow her to try and be happy with Wade as more than FWB.

It definitely is a complex situation and I hope the writers have a general plan for the them for rest of season 2, leaving doors open, but also having a plan B if the show isnt renewed. This isnt a comedy or a crime show - this is a love story and as such it needs an ending.
