If S4 was going to premiere much later, I probably would have rewatched S1-S3. I'm not going to now since this is a busier time and the show will be back soon enough. Although I will have to rewatch some parts of S3 at some point to finish up the survivors.

I would also have liked a Christmas episode. I would have fit nicely to have ZW get back together then. As Lisa pointed out they probably didn't know the release date so it would be next to impossible to plan for holidays. However it is difficult to say when in the year last season ended. We know Zoe said she had her duvet "for this season". A duvet is actually derived from the Scandinavian term "dyne" and popularized by IKEA and is something you use for the colder months of the year (plz correct me if you use the term differently in the states). She also bought Wade an icescraper for the ice storms that Atlanta suffered from in January of 2014 and while Zoe didn't know how long Wade would be gone it is hard to imagine her giving him a present like that if the winter months wasn't close by.

My point is that the show could return close to December and while we won't get a Christmas episode on January 9th it could be "close" to Christmas.

At first I was planning on rewatching 3x01,3x02,3x08,3x09 and the last 6 episodes, but idk now

If you go by the WV relationship the season should have ended sometime after May. Since they also started to date around X-mas. They were together for 5 months and throw in another month for TW to get pregnant. So it should have ended sometime in the summer. Wade also said the ice scraper would come in handy in about six months. We should be back in BB in summer time.

Does that explain Zoe's duvet comment? Maybe a lighter duvet for the summer? The summers here doesn't get too hot and I sleep with nothing but a sheet over me in those months. I even dragged my mattress half out onto my balcony most nights because I couldn't stand the heat. If my neighbors were nighthawks, they would have seen an almost naked man sleeping outside.

Because they didn't know when they were coming back, I don't expect any holidays to be in the show or references to what month it is. Only explanations time elapsed for SL continuity.
