Yeah, I would have loved to see it. He comforted her in other ways though, like when she was hormonal, he'd kiss her head

Yeah, he definitely did. Wade also used the forehead kiss to comfort her when she was overwhelmed by the towns questions in 4x04. And I also think Wade had the ability to comfort Zoe just by talking to her. I mean look at what was going on in that ep. Zoe was freaking out and panicking, but all Wade had to do was talk to her to make her feel better.

Yeah, I would have been happy with just one hug. Wouldn't that have been really cool if we got one of those hugs in S3? I am sure when would have been a good time in that season, but I think it would have been great to see one of those very tense hugs that just lead them giving each other one of those longing looks.

That would have been great, it would have really brought out their longing for each other again - could you imagine them holding each other & trying to pretend it was just a platonic thing, when really it'd be driving them both crazy?

Oh, yeah I know!! They would've tried to act like it was nothing more than a regular platonic hug but there is no doubt that the hug would last a lot longer than a normal platonic hug. It would have lasted much longer for Zoe and Wade and it definitely would restart their longing for each other. It would be so undeniable. That spark is difficult for them not to feel. It would be interesting to see reactions of their friends.

Maybe after her break up with Joel? He could have given her a comforting hug

That would have really worked well. Especially since we already saw Wade try and comfort Zoe by cheering her up, and then of course instantly becoming concerned when he found out that Joel was in fact not coming back. It wouldn't have been that strange for him to give her a hug. And i feel like there might have been a chance that Zoe would pretty much just melt into his arms.

Yeah, I suppose that could have worked. Could have bough us some happiness while we waited on Vivian to go.
