I think Wade and Zoe ending up together would show great character growth for them especially Zoe.

Zoe probably never imagined ending up with a guy like Wade. Not that I'm saying Wade isn't good enough for her just that a city girl like Zoe would have never thought about falling for a counrty guy like Wade. They're so different yet they make so much sense together.

This sentence is perfect. I agree completely.

exactly, Zoe's very close-minded so her realizing what an incredible guy Wade is would show how much growth she has.

I can understand her though, people gravitate towards what they're used to (like ZG ) but over time, they discover the amazing people around them that they had overlooked before.

That's why they work so much, because they're so different and they bring out the best in each other

I'm sure they'd argue about how it all happened too!
definitely. It'd be fun to see.

What a great way of putting it. I think in George Zoe felt like he was familiar I mean she was new to the town he was nice to her and he reminded her of NY. Now though Zoe is getting used to Bluebell making friends and finally starting to settle in so I hope she can eventually let go of her need for familarity and see that are other great guys out there mainly Wade.

He was the only thing that connected her to home/NYC so of corse that's what she would cling to, perfectly normal.

definitely, it's human nature, people 'cling' to the people that they have things in common with, same tastes etc. & in a place like Bluebell, everyone else was so different that I'm sure that made her want to befriend George even more.

But she is definitely settling in now & being able to see people for who they really are

thanks for the link to the fic, will have to check it out later!

^Yup, specially when she didn't want to be in Bluebell in the first place. IMO most of the "crush" she has on George it's just her projecting.

That's how I feel about her crush on George too. I feel like it's more about how he was nice to her and also a little of wanting what you can't have.

exactly, I think it should just run it's course & then die

I did a rewatch & I don't think it is so clear that ZG are the main couple, I just found it interesting that towards the end ZW have that little scene where she's walking along the road, & this is her moment where she's deciding to stay & it's about her starting her new path, & Wade drives past her & waves, I think that was symbolic in a lot of ways, plus they could of had any character be there, or no one at all, but they had a prominent Wade moment there. Plus he was the second to last person she interacted with, the last being the receptionist who left.

It could have been George, if they wanted to put the focus on Zoe/George. There were a lot of scenes that could have been Zoe/George and were Zoe/Wade instead.

They have defintely given Z/W many more meaningful moments and scenes to where they look like they are the main couple. Of course Rachel and Wilson's chemistry defintely makes them look IMO like they are the root for couple.
