Yay, first time I've heard a critic say anything but "the show is toast"! Now what do we do to keep rallying the fans? Will people (besides us) keep tuning in to see what happens next with ZW even though the big question of how they will get back together has been resolved?

I know! I hope he is right, and I hope the ratings stay solid enough to get some kind of a renewal. I'm not ready to give this show up. Plus, I feel like we got screwed last season with a crummy one, so I want one more to make up for it, lol.

Exactly! Even if you disregard the whole annoying Joel SL, Bluebell was not itself last season and it's like we've gotten back not just ZW but whole charming, quirky town. I want to keep visiting Bluebell for more than just another 7 episodes.

And I agree. I love that they are focusing on the main cast again, and that Bluebell feels like Bluebell again.

When the CW didn't announce that HOD was cancelled along with the other cancellations, it signaled that at least there was some support for it in the network. Three weeks of better ratings for this season have to count to push it in the renewal column if even for a shortened fifth season since the shortened fourth season is so successful so far in quality of show and better ratings.

I don't think any of them know as much as they pretend, but it's nice that someone actually acknowledged that the tone of this season and last are very different and the viewers are responding positively.

Like last weeks final ratings HoD fell 0.02 - from 1.24 -> 1.22 (same #viewers as 401) but it maintained a 0.5!
