It was really awesome, he fitted in so naturally in that last scene!
When he posted this instagram a couple of weeks ago from the set of Parenthood I was hoping he did a guest appearance, but I forgot about it. So this was a real surprise after all.

Back to HoD. I loved lawyer George this episode (I liked that whole whodunnit sl), not sure about him managing the Truits though. Does this mean he stops being a lawyer

or is this the beginning of a new career (managing others, Shelby perhaps)? Wonder where that'll take him then.

George's changing careers wouldn't be unheard of in SP's video history. When he was Jason Street and was paralyzed on FNL, he changed his career goals from the NFL to working as an agent for football players and became successful at that.

! He knows how to be succesful as an agent, so the Truitts will be ok with George looking after their business for them

But i don't see this being a real possibilty for a full career in Bluebell though, with the only "stars" being Shelby and the Truitts (and maybe Prince Purfection

). So will this career change take George away from Bluebell eventually?

I think the thing that takes George away from Bluebell (if he does leave) will be the possibility of a political career. He has all the good qualities a politician needs, and if he and Annabeth get together, she will be a very valuable asset. Remember all the ways she helped Lavon when she was with him.
As a general practice attorney, George seems to be expert in all areas of the law and has enough time to service all his clients including the Truitts.

I agree with you. A political career seems to be more likely and very fitting. I always thought AB was a great mayor's wife (she was even a better mayor than the mayor himself at the time). So she would certainly make a good politicians wife. She would love to cater events and receptions, I think. I also think that this career choice would make George's parents happy and I expect them to approve of AB (she's no Zoe or Tansy

but she's also no Lemon).

Congrats to them. I read she is due this summer, so at least that is some excitement to follow when the show is done for the season!

They will be wonderful parents and she looks so gorgeous!
