It should have done, but I think that Lemon was still in a lot of denial back then...until she could come clean about her affair with Lavon, they weren't going to talk about any of it.

Yeah, they did string out the whole affair thing for quite a while, but I'm glad that it came out sooner rather than later. & it was so clear when it did that the only thing Lemon wanted was to get George back

I thought the scene where George saw Lavon kiss Lemon & the car came along & then they had both disappeared & George wasn't sure what he saw was kinda stupid. It just didn't work imo

I'd rather that Lemon just stood up & told him herself.
