He needed a hug so badly! Once Zoe left after he declared his love to her, he really held all of his feelings in and didn't talk about it at all. I feel like Wade downplayed his love for Zoe, and his pain a lot. I think the only reason Lemon even knew anything was because she was so persistent.

Oh, yeah definitely! Wade had nowhere to hide because his feelings were always right there out in the open despite never talking about how he was feeling about Zoe.

All someone had to do was see how he was with Zoe and then see how he was afterwards.

Yeah. So true. And even just see how Wade looked at Zoe from a distance. He always had that longing look when he looked at her.

He did, even though it would have been hard to watch, I really wish we could have seen some of that aftermath, especially with how everyone reacted after her emails

Yeah, it would have been really really difficult to watch, but I think the initial reactions of the emails would have been good to see. Especially since we know how crushed Wade was. And Lemon being the only one who just how much that email broke his heart. Wade must have really buried his heartbreak a lot if Lemon was the only one who knew.

Nah, the BlueBellians in general haven't been great at observing things.

They really were so bad at it. Only the people closest to him knew because they knew Wade. But I do still see him trying hard to bury his feelings as much as he could, but failing at it. Whenever his walls went up, that's when he always tried denying things to other people. Like when George flat out told him why he was going after unavailable women, but tried denying it. Or even when Lemon asked him if he was still in love with Zoe, and he denied it but declared his love shortly after.
