Oh yeah, George's speech was great too! I think that Wade probably got the best journey of the show

He did and Wilson deserved that after what the writers did to him and his character.

Even now, seeing reactions to people on twitter who are just tuning into the show for the first time and watching it during the quarantine. You see how so many people are praising Wade and Zoe off the bat, then they reach the cheating part and people start going in on Wade and It still makes me mad seeing that and I wanna defend him. It was just such a slap in the face to Wilson, Wade fans and Wade and Zoe fans. So yeah, Wade and Wilson both deserved that happy ending.

Yeah he did deserve that happy ending. I am glad that Wade cheating didn't completely end things for Wade and Zoe because it could have easily been that. But it started to become clear that it was just part of his journey of becoming a better man. Because honestly, he may not have turned into the guy that he is if it weren't for the entire situation he dealt with. Being with Zoe made him better, but he also got better because he wanted to show Zoe that he wasn't that same guy who cheated. For me, even when he cheated, I was upset that Wade and Zoe weren't together anymore, but it didn't make me hate Wade.

Me either, I was just mad at the writers because I didn't feel like that was something Wade would do, & they were just using that to try & got back to Zoe/George

I can't imagine how Wilson felt about it, he put so much work into Wade - & put so much into the show, working out ways to promote it, & then they did him dirty like that

Honestly, I 100% could have seen Wade letting insecurities get in the way and caving to pressure, maybe even backing off from the relationship like he did in 2x08 when he walked away after telling Zoe that George knew about them and him giving her the cold shoulder and then walking away after their date in 2x09 and again, giving her the cold shoulder. I could have seen him doing that to try and relieve some of the pressure. What made ZERO SENSE, was having him cheat, when he caved to the pressure.

He tried way too long and way too hard to get Zoe to like him and want to be with him, for him just to cheat on her. So it was out of character for me. He may have messed around on Tansy, but that was a whole different relationship entirely built off a drunken marriage, that neither wanted to be in. Wade and Zoe were different. The relationship was the first serious one for both of them. Both admitted that. So for them to cheapen Wade and have him cheat, just to break up Zade. That was just stupid. Wilson didn't deserve that, Wade didn't deserve that, Zoe didn't deserve and the Zade fans didn't deserve that.

Wish we had gotten more of those serious conversations. I'd gladly trade all of the hitting on woman stuff for that!

I think when the cheating happened we had an interview where Wilson talked about being so upset about it.

Yes he did. Also, Cress confirmed that the table read was really hard that day. That you could see how visibly upset Wilson was, that he was pretty much quiet the whole time and the only thing he really said was, this is not good. That's really telling too, when the actor is even shocked by what you decided to do to his character. He was nervous about what people would think and he said he was also upset because he cared about Wade, as Wilson and was rooting for him and that it was a big set back for Wade. And the girl playing Tansy admitted to crying during the table read, because she too was invested in Wade and Zoe's relationship. Rachel also said it felt like real break up and was sad, but no one took it harder then Wilson.

Even the reviewers were mad and said Wilson didn't deserve to his character thrown under the bus like that and deserved better.

I could picture Wilson sitting there, with his sad face, all quiet. We've seen Wade's sad face way too many times, which is pretty much the exact face all his characters make when they're upset, so you know that's proably what he was sitting there looking like, after he read that.

Makes me feel bad he was done that way.

Yeah, I remember reading so many things that Wilson said in interviews where he mentioned that he always rooted for Zoe and Wade's relationship so I am sure it was such a big blow for him and the rest of the cast. From the beginning of the series, he had seemed to make so much progress by the middle of season 2 during the break up so it seemed like a big step back for him.

Yeah, when it came to Zoe whenever Wade got frustrated and his insecurities kicked in he would step back and ignore her for awhile, so when it comes to Wade cheating, I could have seen him getting drunk, yes. And leaving with another girl, yes. But they didn't have to make him cheat. Wade leaving with another girl would have caused enough tension in their relationship that may have caused some fights, but it wouldn't have broken them up because of it.

Wilson as Matt ~~Wade Kinsella~~ from the movie he did called Inside The Box.

He speaks with a southern accent, wears plaid and white t-shirts, tank tops and jeans. Call him Matt all you want, but he will always be Wade if you put him in that type of set up. Sorry Matt, but all I see is Wade.

it does. Have you seen the trailer? He talks with Wade's accent too. The whole look from the movie reminds me of Wade from episode 1x02. he looks the same.

This outfit from 1x02 reminds me so much of his outfit from the movie. Rolled sleeves on the plaid shirt and all.

I just watched 1x02 and wow, that looks exactly like Wade. If he had an accent and wore plaid in the other role, there is no way that I would be able to see anything other than Wade. It is way too similar.

It's kind of interesting because I bet it was a easy role to slip into because it was during Hart of dixie time. He was already used to wearing plaid and using his southern accent majority of the time.

& it makes me so sad to hear how he was when the cheating thing happened, he was too respectful to ever say how angry/hurt he really was about it, but I can imagine

I know right? At first even looking at the pictures I had too look twice because he looks so much like wait. practically wearing the same exact outfit as wade did in 1x02.

Yeah, I agree with the other stuff, especially since Wilson always said that he was a Zoe/Wade shipper and he always wanted them together. So I am sure he was real disappointed and sad when he found out that Wade cheated.
