After lunch she had to check on a couple more patients and when she was done she changed into her casual clothes and went to pick up her little girl. She parked the car in front of the school and walked in, smiling when her little girl left everything and went up running towards her "mommy .. mommy" she called out and Addison bend down to pick her up "hey princess. did you have fun?" she asked and selina nodded "yes it was great mommy, I had so much fun" she told her and smiled "thats great.. now come on and lets get home, play a bit and then get dinner ready for daddy" she told her and walked outside, placing Selina into the car seat and then driving them home. They got in and played for awhile in the living room before it was time to get dinner ready.

He walked inside when he reached the house and Selina ran over to the door to greet him like she always did when one of her parents came home from work. "Hey sweetheart, how was your day?" he asked her and gave her a hug. "It was good Daddy, I had lots of fun at school and then Mommy picked me up and we played "Go fish" and "tea party" she let him know. "That's sounds great" he told her and he closed the door behind him. He knew Addison was still upset with him and he hoped that she would be glad to know that he'd talked to the Chief but he didn't get a chance to tell her that before she'd left. He walked over to her with Selina by his side "Hey, I'm sorry I didn't get to see you before you left" he told her and he kissed her cheek.

she looked up when Mark entered the kitchen "its okay" seh replied softly "you had to work and I had to hurry." she explained "hope steak with potatoes is all right. I am graving meet and everything that is fast food so .. I will probably make hot dogs later on or chilli fries.. so knock yourself out" she told him, still being upset with him. Selina grinned "mommy is really eating a lot. while we were playing she ate a whole bowl of chips and all of the chunki monki ice cream" she let MArk know and Addison sighed "that is true.. and I am not even in my second trimester. I will look like I am about to pop in only my fith month" she said and sighed "can you set the table please?"

He nodded at her explanation and when she let him know that she made steak and potatoes he smiled softly. "That sounds great" he let her know and noticed that she was still upset with him. He smiled at their little girl when she mentioned that Addison was eating a lot. "Well Mommy is eating for 3 so it's normal that she eats a lot honey" he explained. When she sighed and mentioned that she would look like she was about to pop in her 5th month he frowned, not liking that she was so hard on herself. "You'll look beautiful" he told her softly. He started setting the table when she asked him to and it didn't take long and then they all sat at the table and started eating dinner. "This is really great" he let her know after taking the first bite. "Thanks for making dinner". Selina nodded "It's yummy Mommy" she let her know and Mark smiled and helped her, cutting up her meat.

she wanted to smile at his comment but she really couldnt altough she didnt want their daughter to notice so she at least faked a polite smile and nodded "thanks" she said and then sat down to eat dinner. "I am glad you guys like it. Like I said.. there will be a second and third curse after that so .. dont eat to much" she let them know and when seh was done with the steak she heated up some saugages and prepared some hot dogs "who wants hot dogs?" she asked hoping that they would still eat at least one so that she wouldnt feel so out of place.

He could tell that her smile was a fake one and he hated that she was upset. "you're welcome" he replied. When she mentioned again that there would be a second course he nodded and when they were done eating the steak and she asked them who wanted hot dogs he knew she wouldn't want to eat alone. "I'd love one" he told her and served himself one, not making her serve him and although he knew Selina wouldn't eat much of it she still asked for one because she loved hot dogs. "I want a hot dog too please" she asked with a smile on her face and they all started eating the hot dogs together at the table. It was pretty quiet through dinner as they just ate and he wanted to talk to her but not in front of Selina. "The hot dogs are great too" he mentioned to her.

she was glad when both Mark and Selina wanted to have a hot dog and the first time that evening she smiled a real smile and sat down and started eating. After 2 more hot dogs Addison was finally full for now and she looked at her family "Chilli fries have to wait for later, I am actually full and so are the babies" she let her family know and Selina breathed a sigh in relief "thats good.. because I was sure that I would explode if I ate more" she told her mother and Adddison laughed "sorry baby. I will try not to eat som uch anymore or at least do it when you are not home" she said and then cleaned up the table.

He noticed that when they both wanted to have a hot dog she smiled a real smile this time and he loved seeing that. When they finished eating the hot dogs and she let them know that the Chili fries would have to wait he was also relieved because he couldn't have eaten any more and he chuckled at Selina's comment and ruffled her hair. He helped her clean up the table and put the dishes into the dishwasher. "Can we play now?" Selina asked, being it wasn't time for bed yet and she loved to spend time with both of her parents. Mark smiled at her "Of course we can, what do you want to play?" he asked her and she thought about it before answering. "Legos" she told him and they all walked into the living room and started to play with the Legos. He looked over at Addison while they played with their daughter, hoping that things would be better between them after they talked.

After they were done in the kitchen they walked over to the lioving room and started playing Legos like their little girl had requested "do you already know what you want for your birthday?" Addison asked while they played "A pony" Selina answered with a smile "And a puppy" seh added and Addison smiled but rolled her eyes "anything that isnt a breathing animal?" she asked and Selina shook her head "no.. just the pony and the puppy" she let her mother know and Addison looked at Mark, knwoing that they couldnt really get her a pony and well.. they didnt really have time for a puppy "how about we get the puppy when you go in school?" she asked and Selina made a thinking face "just the pony then?" she asked and Addison sighed.

Of course their little girl or well not so little girl anymore wanted a pony and a puppy for her birthday like all girls did. He smirked at Addison's response and when she looked at him and suggested that they get the puppy when she was in school he thought she'd found a solution but then Selina wanted just the pony and he chucked softly. "Sweetheart, we don't really have room for a pony here" he pointed out. "And a puppy isn't really a good idea until after you are in school and the twins are a little older" he added. "But how about something else?" he asked her. "Hmmmm....can I have a phone?" she asked, meaning of course a cell phone. She loved to play with his and Addison's cell phones. "Sure you can" he answered knowing they could get her a toy cell phone from the toy store. They played for a while longer and then it was time for Selina to go to bed. "Okay, time for bed" he mentioned and of course she pouted her lips, something she got from her mother. "I'm not tired" she told them. "Yes you are, it's late and your eyes are all sleepy already" he pointed out with a smirk and kissed her cheek. "Come on we'll tuck you in and maybe mommy will sing to you and we can read you a story" he told her and they all went upstairs to tuck her in.

she was glad when mark jumped in, explaing to Selina that they didnt really have space for a pony and when seh asked for a phone she knew that this they could do "and you can think about a few more things.. maybe you will come up with something you want. you have a few more weeks" seh told her and then smirked when of course Selina told them that seh wasnt tired but finally releted and agreed to go to bed if they sand and read her a story. They walked upstairs together and helped her changed into her pjs and let her craw into bed before Addison put the covers around her. Selina requested a story and so Mark and Addison took turns in reading until their little trouble maker had fallen asleep "night princess, sleep tight2 Addison whispered softly and kissed her girls cheek.

He nodded in agreement when Addison mentioned that she could think of a few more things since she had asked for something small and he was sure she'd think of more presents to ask for in the time she had. They tucked her in together and read her a story, taking turns reading until she fell asleep and after Addison said goodnight to her he did the same. "Goodnight Sweetheart, I love you" he whispered and kissed her forehead. They left Selina's room together, keeping the door cracked open for her and leaving her night light on and he looked at his girlfriend, knowing they needed to talk.He led her into the bedroom, thinking that it was best if she was off her feet and he sat down on the bed and waited for her to join him. "Addison, I talked to the Chief and I let him know that I would be taking time off when the twins were born and that you would be returning to work after your maternity leave was up" he explained, not wanting her to think that he'd forgotten about that or changed his mind in any way.

she followed Mark into the bedroom and she knew that he wanted to talk, although to her there was nothing to talk about. When he said down on the bed, she started to changed into her pajamas not wanting to join him and nodded her head when he let her know that he had talked to the chief "well better late than never " she whispered softly, not having enough energy to be angry or whatever. "thanks for doing so. But you know what. Maybe I should stay home when the kids are born." she said and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth "I mean.. i am sure that your work will be missed and .. I have already been home with Selina.. I know the drill" she said, wanting to make everything easier on him. She didnt want to fight. she would just do things the way he liked them and make everything easier.

When she just nodded and let him know that it was better late then never he sighed. That hadn't been the reaction he was hoping for. When she mentioned that maybe she should stay home he was surprised and he looked at her confused. "What? Addison, we talked about this. We made this decision together. I'm going to stay home with the kids and you're going to go back to work so you don't fall behind again" he told her, not really understanding why she was changing her mind suddenly. He stripped down to his boxers and he went into the bathroom and brushed his teeth with her. When they were both finished they walked back into the bedroom. "I'm trying here Addison. I know that you're upset that I didn't say anything sooner and I'm sorry but.....I don't know what else to do at this point. I spoke to the chief and we worked things out. I want to be here for you and the kids"

she sighed softly "I dont want to fight Mark, I am too exhausted for this and its not good for me and the babies.. so just tell me what you want me to do and I will do it" she whispered softly while she crawled into bed, glad to be off her feed after that day. "just let me know how you decide and i will comply" she told him and snuggled deep under the covers, feeling cold all of a sudden. "I dont want you to trys and like I said I dont want us to fight.. i do need my energy and you need yours too. We are doctors and its not good if our minds are elsewhere" she told him "I am tired"

He listened to her sigh and he looked into her eyes "I don't want to fight with you either, and I don't want to tell you what to do Addison" he replied softly. He joined her in bed and he wrapped his arms around her. "I'm not going to make decisions for us without you" he whispered. "I'm sorry that I made you feel like you were on your own, and I'm sorry that you ended up having to go back and talk to the Chief without me. That's not what we talked about and it's not how it should have happened. But Addison, I am here for you. We're in this together, I promise you that" he told her, hoping she would know how much he meant that. "I love you, and I'm not going to let you do this on your own" he promised as he looked into her eyes.
