Ty Ryan
Ty had spent the two days prior straightening up the semblance of her new life. She couldn't say she wasn't excited to be back, but at the same time, she couldn't say she was either. The reason being her absolute nervousness for what was to come. Tyler was unsure of what would happen, if they would hate her, if they had missed her, they being the general population. It didn't seem like anyone noticed her return the first day of school, but at the same time, she didn't show up to any of her classes because she had been in the counselor's office the entire day. That and the registrar's trying to straighten out her records. She parked her car in the parking lot of the school, immediately catching the gaze of Grey and what seemed like his new girlfriend on the back of his bike. Tyler squinted her bright eyes harder. Was that... that Lena? Little Lena? My god.

Tyler's shock was immediately stopped by the sight of Isha. Her heart stopped as she slammed the door to her Porsche. Her hands shook. Getting an e-mail from Isha was nothing like seeing her in person. It had an effect on Tyler, one that she thought she had worked past. Slowly, nervously, she walked towards Isha, her hands hooked in the beltloops of her designer brand jeans, her heeled boots clicking on the concrete. "Nice to put a face to the e-mail." She said softly with a small smile, an anxious and apprehensive one. Isha may never know of Tyler's near decade long crush on the other girl, and if Tyler had her way, she'd make sure of it. At that point, however, Tyler was playing with fire. Just from the look in Tyler's eyes that she couldn't wash out, and the tone in her voice that she couldn't mask.

Bella
“Miss Hart.” The sound of her name in the familiar tone made her whole body shiver and not in a good way. It was familiar because the source was probably one of the worst teachers she had ever had the bad luck of encountering. To make matters even worse, they taught one of the classes that Bella had failed last year and would be forced to endure again.

“Mr. Harper.” She turned, looked him straight in the eye and nodded in acknowledgement. The moment he started to speak, the words went right through one ear and out the other. She knew what was coming. Harper was the kind of teacher that loved to rub your face in it when you screwed up. This coming year would undoubtedly be even worse of a nightmare that last year. He’d make an example of her. Pick on her to answer impossibly complicated questions. He was notorious for it. If she’d have to endure it the entire semester in the classroom, she was dead set on ignoring it outside of the classroom.

When someone is desperate, they get an uncharacteristic confidence that has them do things they wouldn’t normally. Actually, it's probably just desperation that has them do that. Either way, this is the only thing that would explain what Bella did next.

Pavel appeared in her line of vision and she pounced on the opportunity.
“Tank!” She paused a moment to sell the moment before she turned to Harper with an apologetic look.
“I’m sorry to interrupt but I really have to get going.” She tried to mask the relief in her voice but she isn’t sure how well she succeeded. Not that it mattered.

She moved passed Harper to Pavel who looked at her questioningly and mostly confused. They never talked. He was the big popular football player after all and best friend of her ex.
Oh (*&$ that’s right, maybe this really was a bad idea after all.
How the fact that the only reason she and Pavel ever conversed was through her former relationship did not cross her mind, Bella will never know. But he was always a nice guy, he’d understand. Hopefully…

“I’m sorry, I just had to get away from…”
She apologized, now completely embarrassed by what she just did. She could probably die now. She turned back to see Harper watching her and snapped back around.

Tank

Tank gave a look at his schedule once more... Until something else caught his sight... Tyler Ryan, she got out of her car... god, he hadn't seen her in a very long time and she still had that effect on him... She looked beautiful... well she always did... He still had a little hope with her, because she cared about her in a way he never cared about anyone...
Suddenly he heard some female voice say his name... a familiar voice... non other but Bella Heart... what did she want? he thought... not to seem rude but the only time they barely talked was when she dated Grey... they were such an explosive couple...
"Bella" he said, turning a little more to face her "...away from Mr. Harper, is he hunting you much?" he chuckled a little
Tank saw Mr. harper still looking at Bella... "well, why don't we get going then?" he said faking conversation, he put his hand on Bella's little back and started walking "so how was your summer?" he asked... he didnt need to talk actually and wasnt sure what she was going to answer, or if he even wanted to hear it....

"Well, you know how he is when he smells blood."
She shivered again despite herself.

"See you in CLASS Miss Hart!"
He screamed after her. The bastard was going to make her life a complete nightmare. She closed her eyes tightly at the sound of his voice. This is all a dream. All a dream. All a DREAM.

She opened her eyes as Pavel kept talking. Sure enough, even if you wish hard enough they don't come true.

Bella was relieved that Pavel had decided to play along with her. He really was the nice guy she always perceived him to be. She was so relieved in fact that she didn't over-analyze his question about her summer. She took it, most likely, as it was intended. A simple common means of conversation.

Her tone was light and conversational. "About the same as any other summer."Except being cheated on by her boyfriend with his whore of an ex. Yeah, except that.

"Yours?"

Yeah.. he thought.. He didnt aprove everything grey did.. like getting involved with Keeli Morrigan. he was poisoned by her.. pretty much like Tank was poisoned by Tyler... well maybe not like that....

"yeah.. i havent seen you much" why on earth did he say that? just to make her feel even worse? stupid boy... "uhm.. i had a good summer, played lots of football and surfed a lot, too" he said quickly

"listen... i know it shouldn't be me the one saying this to you.. but i'm really sorry for what Grey did, it was a huge mistake" he said

Haven’t seen you much.
Bella struggled to find a response to that. Each time she had a response, she would stop herself. It was probably a good thing. The last thing she needed was to embarrass herself further. Luckily for her, Pavel beat her to the punch and kept talking.

Good. Football. Surfing. Nice, easy topics. Then he said the word that almost always has something unfortunate after it. Listen (pause). She’s had many bad experiences with the listen (pause) phrase. For instance, ‘listen, (pause) about your dog Shadow…we had to put him down.’ Or ‘listen, (pause) we know you tried your best but it still isn’t good enough.’ ‘Listen (pause), I cheated on you with the whore.’ Bella’s even used the word in a few break ups in the past. ‘Listen (pause), we need to talk…’

When Bella heard what came after the ‘listen (pause)’, her jaw hung open ever so slightly. She found her consciousness and snapped her mouth closed, hoping that time was just moving slowly in her head and that she hadn’t been standing there like a complete idiot for what felt like two lifetimes.

Before she could manage to speak, Bella nodded. Her lips tightened into a smile and her eyebrows came together slightly.
“Thanks Tank.”
She managed to say and surprisingly it sounded level.
“I, I mean.”
She tensed up for a moment but then just relaxed into a sigh of relief.
“No, just thanks…..for saying that.”

She elaborated the thanks slightly further. Why didn’t they talk more before she started dating Grey anyway? Given her current state of having zero friends, Bella could definitely use more. ‘Course, trying to find a friend in Tank was out of the question.

“So, just how much crap do you think Harper is going to give me in his class? Is it as bad as I’m imagining?”

Keeli

It was so cool to see her best friend coming at the Cafeteria.
Of course, she had manipulated her watch because Romy was always so damn late. It was stronger than her, late could have been her middle name.

"Hey best friend" she said happily. Keeli hugged her and kissed her on the cheek. "Can you believe it?" she asked, supping her sugarfree coffee
"The school has begun again and i am already sick of waking up early in the morning!" Keeli laughed out loud.
"Oh well, you probably have slept more than me, you're always late! You see, a best friend is worth it" she chuckled, indicating Romy's watch.

While Romy is waiting for her coffee, she's searching in the pockets of her denim shorts for some money. When she didn't find any, she reached in her bag for her purse to pay the coffee. After she took a big sip, she sighed. "Still I haven't got enough sleep. I worked on this programme yesterday and it got quite late.", she admitted.

Together they went outside to remain the last couple of minutes until lesson begins in the sun. "Did those two months really went over that fast? I have the feeling we never left that building" she was kidding. Romy really liked her classes she was interested in - like everything that contains software or something. But still she was very fond of school.

"So what's new?" she asked after another look for Carver through the masses of schoolmates. She didn't really thought there was much new since they saw each other yesterday. "Are you coming to the party tonight?" she asked sipping at her coffee..

"What programme are you working on?" Keeli couldn't understand why Romy liked software stuff so much, but she was her best friend and she always tried to show some interest. That's how friendship goes, after all.

The sun was shining outside the school and that would have been the perfect day for sunbathing. It was a pity to be already at school, but whatever.

"You're right, it seems that we never left the building" she replied, looking at her High School building. It was kind of new and the atmosphere in there were very comfortable plus the gym was big enough to accomodate more than 2000 people.

"News?" she tried to think "Well, nothing at all" she shooked her head while turning her pink Motorola off.
"Hell yeah" Keeli continued "Of course i'll come to the party! You too, right? Have you already decided what to wear?"
Going to a party meant wearing super hot clothes and having lots of fun in preparing together.

"It's nice that you ask, but I know you don't like that stuff, so I don't want to bore you", Romy answered laughing. She loved Keeli for pretending to be interested, but she also knows that something you don't like or don't understand bores you to hell when someone talks about it. She would feel the same if someone talked about cars all the time.

Romy closed her eyes for a moment to soak up the sun, they said the weather was going to be badder the next days, like it could feel that school started again.

"Sure I come.. first party of the schoolyear, you don't think I'm going to miss it?", she asked but didn't expect a reply. "I thought we could make a little shopping trip this afternoon. I mean we don't have the most important subjects today, do we??"

"BTW how are your boys? Have you seen one of them lately? You haven't told me about them in ages." She sipped her coffee again and waited for an answer.

Tank could notice Bella was a little unconfortable because of the subject, actualy there's no one who could feel confortable rtalking about this, and even if he didnt know Bella that much, he at least could notice that...

He smiled at her, right after she said thanks... "no problem" he said

Then as she changed the subject, it was more than clear that Grey's actions were non alkative... obviously...

He chuckled "well.." he started "you were quite a hand full last year if i don't remember badly" he said "i think he's gonna have his eyes set on you" oh... he didnt mean it in the pervy way... "you know in a strictly professional teacher student kind of way" he laughed at his rambling

Isha

Isha was having a great time picturing all the things that she could do to somehow knock Grey's perfect charm off balance. There was just something about him that she wanted to ruin. But today wasn't the day, and she kept her step in stride just a couple feet from him.

"Nice to put a face to the e-mail."

Oh no. Damn it. Just another reason to keep her dislike of Grey, he distracted her from something that she should have been doing this whole time. "Uh.. Yeah I guess so." Her eyes flickered around, why couldn't she have been early for school so she could have skipped this awkward conversation. Elisha pulled at her dark hair nervously, she hadn't seen Tyler in so long why couldn't she just keep everything normal and stay away for a couple more years. Why did she always have to be the one making the dramatic enterance and wanting to cause so much drama. Emailing was fine, but this exchange was so awkward she wished that it just stayed at emailing.

"So, how's school going for you?" Isha forced out, and looked straight at Tyler. "I'm sure Pavel was excited when he finally seen you. " In other words, Pavel probably was, she was not.

The change of subject gave Bella exactly what she needed. It was nice to hear, Tank telling her how he thought what Grey had did was a huge mistake. It really was nice to hear. But Bella spent most of summer getting over that..whole thing, she was ready to move past it. She has gone through the emotional rollercoaster that resulted from being cheated on. The self-doubt, the depression, the emptiness, the anger, the disbelief, and the feeling that there is no way she’ll be right again. It’s probably true that she’ll never be the same again. It didn’t necessarily need to be a bad thing.

Bella could change for the better. Be stronger and smarter as a result. Make amends where amends were due.

“Ew.”
The words left her mouth and her face turned sour at the implication Tank had unintentionally just made. She literally almost threw up in her mouth.
“Thanks for that mental image Tank.”

She elbowed him in the side with miniscule force. He was a football player. He could take it.
“Well, he won’t be the only one looking for my head. I just came from the student counselor. She’s quote ‘very worried about me’ and thinks I need a ‘priority check’”
With a roll of her eyes, Bella showed Tank her hand with the office note still clutched in it. This was utterly exasperating. What was with the over-reaction anyway? It wasn’t like she was pulling a page out of Juno.
