• Warfare in Seaport•

The town of Seaport, Scotland is a small town. Summers usually have a few tourists in and out, but no one ever really stays too long. They come for the stories, for the sights, but usually move onto bigger and better things. From the outside, Seaport is just a little town, occupied by quirky people who believe way too much in the folklore of the place. But that really isn't the whole story.

Everyone has heard tales about creatures. Mermaids, Elves, all such creatures. No one older than ten really actually believes any of it though. Not of course, unless you live in Seaport. While some thing the stories about these creatures are just myth, the people of Seaport know better. For hundreds of years, the humans of Seaport have lived in peace with the creatures in the forrest, the sea, and the caves. They rely on each other for things they need, and pay no mind when they see an extra large fin splash water when they are out fishing. Each race has their own type of government. Humans obviously have the political sectrum with Mayors, Governors, etc. But most of the other creatures answer to Kings and Queens and royal families. Marrying, even relationships between races are very much looked down upon, because most races to not want their race "tainted" with other species. There have however, been a few children born who have abilities that could not possibly be from one specific race. The town has been peaceful, and it's been that way, more or less, for generations. However there was a time when things were not good at all, when there was killing and ridicule. But that time was long past.

That is at least, until a few months ago. One of the town's richest, and most important citizens, Walter Andrews, had been out late one night. While walking by the docks, he slipped and hit his head on the side of the dock, sinking into the water. No one was around when it happened, and by the time any of the seafolk had found him, he was dead. They lay his body on the beach and were intent on taking him into town to help anyway they could...this is when the mayor found them. He had never been particularly happy with the situations with the other creatures, particularly the seafolk. His was one of the few families who did not like anything about the way things were. He took this as his opportunity to stop the nonsense. Not waiting for an explanation of what happened, he pointed the finger at the mermaids, who in turn got angry with him. This started a whole chain reaction of allegiences and warfare between all who live in Seaport. Animosity and hatred came from it, and old feelings, from when things weren't so good between everyone came back. The folk on the land have formed an alliance against those who live in and near the sea.

Seemingly, there is no hope for their beloved town to return to it's former way of peace. However there is a generation, a group of kids who were raised, more or less together. These people have grown to be friends, good friends, and are not about to let someone ruin their, and their families lives. They are secretly meet in the caves as often as possible, and discuss how, little by little, they can change their town back to the way it was. They call themselves the Peacemakers, and whether they are just talking about how to make life better, or taking action and reminding people of how great things were, they are actively trying to make a difference. There are only two Peacemakers from each race. One male, One female, totalling sixteen. They hope that though their numbers are small, they will be able to make people understand.
