The senior class of 1989 from the prestigious private school, Liberty Private School, in North Carolina is having their fifteen year reunion. Because of the prestige of the school, they could afford to make this reunion fun, so just about everyone would want to come.

The organizers of the reunion have rented an entire cruise ship for the class. For the week, everyone will engage in activities and fun as they sail around the Bahamas islands. For an entire week, the class will be forced to live together on the ship � where really, there is no way out. Once they leave the dock in Florida � that�s it, no turning back.

Tempers will flare, old lovers will pick up where they left off or fight it out, friendships will be re-kindled, fights will break out�it�ll be just like high school�with fifteen years gone by to sit on chances not taken. We�ll see how it goes this time around.

The Class of 1989

Name:Jake Larson
Age: 32
Personality Then/Now: Back in high school he was the cocky jock, the jerk that everyone hated to love, but loved anyway. He was charismatic and funny, someone who could get what he wanted by flashing his grin. Now, Jake is a bit less toned down, but still uses his charisma to his advantage. He is a lot more humble and kind than he was in high school.
What they were known for then: Jake was the All-American on the varsity football team. He was the sports guy, plain and simple.
Where they are now: After getting a scholarship to UC Berkley, he majored in business. He runs his own sports agency out of San Francisco.
Relationships, etc: Jake got along mainly with his jock buddies. He didn't really socialize with everyone. Michael and Kevin were his best friends. They were like the Three Amigos back then. He really did not like Christian and John. He did not like how they acted, and especially that they attracted a lot of the girls. As far as girls were concerned, he liked to flirt a lot, but the one girl who he was surprisingly head over heels for was Jean. He was crazy about her. Since high school, he's dated around, and really lived it up as a bachelor - but his heart is still with Jean.

Personality Then/Now: The younger half of the infamous Adams sisters, Jean was known as the sweetheart, yet had a bit of a bite to her. She stood up for what she believed in, and was stubborn in that way � which some people took as her being rude. Now she is still a sweetheart, and the same person she was in high school, just a bit older.
What they were known for then: Jean was the person in high school who studied really hard. She was on the swim team, and excelled at everything she did because she worked hard for what she wanted.
Where they are now: Jean went to NYU for college, and studied design. Once she graduated, she worked her way up in an interior design company before branching out on her own with a business partner, a good friend. They have been in business for two years, and have just sold a line to the Pottery Barn.
Relationships, etc: Jean was really nice back in high school, and there weren't many people she did not get along with. However her best friend was of course, her big sister Bridgette. Amy and Jane were other good friends. She really didn't have many enemies, in contrast to her sister. Jean liked a bunch of the guys back then, Michael and Kevin...but her heart always belonged to Jake. It still does.

Personality Then/Now: Back in high school, Christian was one of the bad boys. He smoked and was intimidated, and was always the one getting into trouble. That�s just how he was. However when you got to know him, he was actually a really intelligent, sweetheart of a guy. He was a pure gentleman in his core�you just had to look really hard to find it. Now Christian is pretty different. He�s quit smoking, and worked hard to get through medical school. He can still be pretty intimidating, but his good qualities really shine through now that he�s older.
What they were known for then: His name rung through the school halls nearly daily to be called to the principal�s office. He was always working on his beat up old car, and giving his sly little half-smile to all the girls around town.
Where they are now: Christian worked really hard once he got out of high school, and got into Northwestern University. He went through medical school, and is now an ER doctor, and has really turned his life around. He lives and works in Chicago, Illinois.
Relationships, etc: Christian did not have many friends back in high school, and he liked it that way. His best friend was John, and they did just about everything together back then. He hated the preppy guys who thought they were better than everyone else. The guy he hated the most was Jake. He just hated that he was so cocky and rude to everyone, just because he was good at sports. He didn't much mind Jake's friends, they were nice enough, but he didn't hang out with them either. As far as girls went, Christian was head over heels for Faith Moore. They clashed but went together so well. They could be fighting like cats and dogs one second, and all over each other the next. It's just the way they were. Since high school, Christian was married and divorced within a year. It just wasn't meant to be. He still hung on to what he had with Faith.

Personality Then/Now: Faith was a total bad-ass in high school. She was always doing stuff that pissed off her teachers and making rude remarks. Though nothing she did was over-the-top. She was always one to liven up a party, and was the one to throw the most parties. Now she�s almost a complete 180, but still likes to kick it up every once and a while. She�s still got that same bad-ass attitude, but she�s a let her softer, more gentle side shine through a bit, and is a lot nicer to people in general.
What they were known for then: Faith was known around school as the bitch. She intimidated the hell out of the younger classmen, and even the girls in her class. She was a rebel through and through, and didn�t like being told what she couldn�t do.
Where they are now: Faith didn�t really have a desire to go to college, but her parents bribed her into going. She wanted to go to a city rather than a tiny town, so she opted to go to UCLA in California. She loved LA, and the whole atmosphere down there. She studied film and communications, and started working for a production company. Now she is a very successful producer and has made a name for herself in both movies and television.
Relationships, etc: Faith was somewhat of a problem back in the days. She just did not get along with many people. Her best friends were Kylie and Abby. And she was surprised by how well she got along with Amy. She's stayed close with Abby through the years. She did not like Bridgette Adams at all. That was a whole thing back in high school, they were always glaring at each other and bitching at each other back then. It was like the clash of the Titans. Christian was really the one guy for her. He would take her crap, and dish it right back to her, and she liked that they could be completely honest with each other. Since high school, Faith has had a few relationships here and there, but nothing too serious. She was engaged once, but broke it off a few months before the wedding date. She couldn't go forward without seeing Christian's face wherever she went.

Personality Then/Now: Kevin was one of the preppy boys back in high school. He studied and worked hard, and was on the basketball team. He was nice to everyone, and everyone liked him a lot. Kevin was the student body president of his class, and loved being in the class politics. Now he is pretty much the same, all-American guy he was back in high school. He loves being around people, and finds being nice to people is the best way to go.
What they were known for then: He was known around school for being the student body President. He tried to listen to what everyone had to say, and people really respected him for that.
Where they are now: Kevin knew he wanted to help people ever since high school. He got into Yale, and worked hard, not really knowing what he wanted to do. He got jury duty one day, and became one of the few people who actually like jury duty. He decided to go into law school. He graduated and was accepted into a prestigious law firm in Cambridge, Connecticut. His specialty is criminal law, and he has become a partner at the law firm he started with.
Relationships, etc: Kevin got along with pretty much everyone. His best friends were Michael and Jake. He got along with Blake and Scott too, but they never hung out much. He was fine with Christian and John, but they never talked much or anything. They just ran in different circles. Jane was the perfect girl for him. She had similar goals and aspirations as he did, and they would study together...or, not study together. He was just crazy for her. Since high school, Kevin has been in a few good relationships, but no one gets him quite like Jane did.

Personality Then/Now: Jane was always an over-achiever. She hardly had time for anything but her studies, because she took them so seriously. She did many extra curricular activities, including being the vice-president of their class. She was kind and compassionate, someone who included everyone she could. Now Jane has toned down a little bit, but still has very good work ethics. She is nice to everyone, but has become just a little bit cynical in the world, yet she tries to keep an optimistic outlook on life.
What they were known for then:Jane was known as the smart girl who would always tutor the football team members or the rebellious ones. She worked hard, and inspired a lot of her classmates.
Where they are now: Jane worked hard all the way through college at Princeton. She loved school, and kept going right through graduate school. She graduated with a teaching degree, and decided to teach seniors at her old high school in North Carolina.
Relationships, etc: Jane was just a sweetie back in high school. Her best friends were Amy, and Jean. She got along fine with the other girls, but not quite like with the other two. She didn't much care for Faith or Abby, but that wasn't something she went around telling people. Jane was surprised that she was so in love with Kevin. She was so focussed on her studies, that he just kind of took her by surprise. She loved him with her whole heart, and after high school, that love is still strong in her heart. She's had one or two long-term relationships, but nothing compared to what she felt for Kevin.

Personality Then/Now: Scott was always a really nice guy. He never quite fit into one group in particular, he mainly just hung out with a few of his friends, and drifted between groups. He was on the baseball team, and loved being involved with that. He was quiet and shy, especially around girls. Now Scott is pretty much that same nice guy. He still loves playing baseball, especially with his kids. He is still a calm, quiet guy, but knows how to have fun too.
What they were known for then: He wasn�t really known in high school. That�s just the way it was. He was known as a team member of the baseball team, but he never really stood out in a crowd.
Where they are now: Scott went through college and got a job in a corporate business. He worked his way up and is now a CEO of the company he started with. He has two children from a marriage that ended in divorce.
Relationships, etc: Scott was a nice enough guy, but he was quiet, he never really stood out to a bunch of people. His best friend was Blake. They were buddies through and through. He didn't really get along with Jake, but no one really did except for his close friends. He didn't mind Christian or John, but he just didn't know them. He was such a quiet guy around girls, that he was never quite comfortable around them. He asked Amy to their senior prom, but other than that night, and the last couple of weeks of school...there was no time for anything more. He still thinks of her as the one that got away. After high school he got married to a woman he met in college. It lasted for five years, and resulted in the birth of a son, who is now five, and a daughter, who is three. He loves them to death, but the marriage didn't last. It just wasn't meant to be for them.

Personality Then/Now: Amy was always just a darling person to be around. She could brighten a room just by walking into it. She loved school and everything about it.. She was kind of a nerdy girl back then, never really getting much attention from the guys, but she didn�t mind it. That just wasn�t that important to her. Now Amy is still the sweetheart everyone knew. She loves being around people, and is a really joyful person. She�s come out of her shell quite a bit, and now attracts more than a few guys.
What they were known for then: She was pretty much always in the theater, which is where she loved to work. Any play or production the school put on, Amy was pretty much always a part of it, one way or another. She just loved everything about the theater.
Where they are now: Amy followed her dreams and went to the American Music and Drama Academy in New York City right out of high school. She worked really hard, and was soon an understudy for a Broadway show. Since then, she has made quite a name for herself, starring in many on and off Broadway plays.
Relationships, etc: Amy was really outgoing and fun in high school. She got along with everyone, and her best friends were Jean and Jane. She got along really well with Faith, but they didn't hang out very much. Amy didn't get along very well with Kylie, but nothing monumental. She had a boyfriend that she was on and off again with, but she always had her eye on Scott. She just thought he was so cute, and his shyness just made him all the more endearing. Since high school, she's often thought back to the guy she didn't have enough time with...and she's had a few relationships, but nothing too serious.

He is a lot more friendly and outgoing than he used to be.
What they were known for then: He was known as the dark, broody guy back in high school. The guy who was very mysterious and no one really knew anything about, other than he was hot, and the fact that he didn�t speak much just made him all the more attractive.
Where they are now: John studied music in college, and is now a very successful music producer in Los Angeles. He frequents visits to Europe, and is always on the lookout for new talent.
Relationships, etc: John just didn't get along with many people. Christian was the only guy he was tight with, and he absolutely hated Jake and most of his cocky jock friends. He got along pretty well with Blake, but they weren't too tight. He often got into fights with Jake, and did not like him at all. As far as girls go, he was head over heels for Bridgette, which really surprised him. They did not really know what to do with their attraction to each other, because it just wasn't "conventional". So they kept it hidden. They'd meet after school and go off together, but never in public. They fought in public to keep that end up, but they were completely crazy about each other. All the lying and sneaking around got to him by the end of their senior year, and he broke it off right before graduation. He still regrets that. He hasn't been serious with another girl since Bridgette.

Since high school, Bridgette had pretty much wiped her slate clean, and started anew. She is kind and generous, someone who doesn�t search for attention she doesn�t need.
What they were known for then: Bridgette was known for being the head varsity cheerleader, and for being pretty much the most popular girl in their school. She had a reputation of being far more perfect than she actually was.
Where they are now: Bridgette went to college at Stanford university and studied art. It was always her passion. She�s sold hundreds of her paintings, and has an on-going exhibit at a museum in San Francisco, where she lives.
Relationships, etc: Everyone pinned Bridgette as being a bitchy cheerleader back in high school, and no one really knew who she was. She was best friends with, of course her sister, and Jane and Amy were friends too. But only Jean really saw the softer side and true side of Bridgette. She did not like Kylie, Abby, or Faith at all. She and Faith got into more fights than she can count. Back then, she was head over heels in love with John. He was really the only person she felt she could be completely honest with...of course, all that honesty was in the middle of them lying to everyone. When he broke up with her, she was devestated...and pregnant. She didn't know what to do. All she knew is that she did not want to hold him back. So she went away and had her child, and with the aid of her parents, finished college. She never told John. And she never stopped loving him.

Michael�s good attitude has served him well throughout his life, and he maintains being a genuinely nice guy. He still loves his sports, but doesn�t play as often as he�d like anymore.
What they were known for then: Michael was known as the all-around good guy, and the star of most of the teams he was on. He was a team player, and never took the glory for himself, and people really liked him for that.
Where they are now: Michael got into college on a baseball scholarship, and studied journalism. He is now a reporter, living in Philadelphia.
Relationships, etc: Michael was someone most people just loved. His best buddies were Kevin and Jake, but he was nice to everyone. He didn't much like Christian, but wasn't public about it. He figured he'd just let whatever crap there was between them go. Kylie was the only girl for him. They met in middle school when his family moved to the town, and he vowed that day that he'd marry her someday. They were inseperable all throughout high school, but when college separated them, it was just something he figured he had to let go...but it was easier said than done. He still vows he'll marry her some day...of course, granting she's not already happily married.

Kylie is still the outgoing, fun person she always was, yet has broadened her scale of which she does it on. She loves life to the fullest, and doesn�t let negative people bring her down.
What they were known for then: She was the girl everyone loved to hang out with because she always had fun ideas to liven up a party. There were very few people who didn�t get along with Kylie, because she was just such a fun, loving person, there wasn�t much not to like.
Where they are now: Kylie never wanted to be in a job she hated, or work for someone who didn�t respect her, so, she started her own business. She started a business where her company plans and takes care of parties for people, so they don�t have to do anything. Her business was very successful in Los Angeles, where she lives, and has branched out to a lot of other states.
Relationships, etc: Kylie didn't get along with most people. Her two best friends were Faith and Abby. They were always getting into some sorts of trouble together. She liked Amy, because she was really nice to everyone. She did not like Bridgette and her fellow cheerleaders at all. When she first met Michael, there was just something different about him. She adored him all through high school. She really let out her softer side when she was with him. She was convinced that they'd get married and have a brood of children. When they split up for college, they tried to make it work, but it just didn't happen. She still regrets not still being with him.

He is a great guy to be around, but he is very stubborn and has a bit of a temper if you cross him.
What they were known for then: Blake was known as the guy who was always making jokes, and a fun guy to be around. He was nice to just about everyone, and people really liked him. They could always go to him for a cheer-up.
Where they are now: Blake worked his way through college because his parents couldn�t afford to pay for him. Once he graduated, he went into the police academy. He loves his job because he can really make a difference and help people.
Relationships, etc: Blake's quirky side was sometimes taken as annoying back in high school, but he didn't care what other people thought. His best friend was Scott, but he got along with most of the drama people, because he was involved with all that. He got along with Amy too. He didn't much care for John or Christian, but he tolerated them because Abby liked them. Abby. The girl he'd never get over as long as he lived. He was so crazy about her in high school, but only got together with her halfway through their senior year. He didn't know if she really was as crazy about him, because she wasn't as open with those things. They broke up when they went to college, but he still looks back at those days as the best times he ever had.

Now Abby is just as stubborn and willful as she was back in high school. She is a sweetheart to those who she trusts, but to strangers, she isn�t too open to a new friendship. She just isn�t that trusting of people.
What they were known for then: Abby was known back in high school as the one who was always challenging her teacher�s information and authority. She liked showing up her teachers, and not taking any crap just because they were her superiors.
Where they are now: Abby�s attitude of not taking no for an answer has really paid off. She worked her way up the corporate ladder after college, and is now a CEO for a major public corporation.
Relationships, etc: Abby didn't get along with most people. Kylie and Faith were really her only good friends. She did not like Bridgette and the whole preppy squad. She just did not click with them at all. As far as guys went, she was surprised when Blake asked her out. She didn't think he'd ever go for her. She was guarded, because she liked him so much. She just didn't know how to really show it. When they broke up, she felt it was her fault for not giving more of herself to him, she just didn't know how. She still isn't that great when relationships are concerned.

I got my room key and smiled to the person who was one of the coordinators. She had looked vaguely familiar, and looked quite scared once I said my name. I guess I was kind of a bitch back in high school. "Thanks, I'll see you around." I said genuinely. God, this was going to be one big guilt-trip. But I'm excited to see my girls again. We'd stayed in touch as much as we could over the years, but life takes over. Kylie and Abby were the best back in high school, and I wondered what they were up to now...not to mention what Christian was up to. God, here we go. He'd probably show up with his brilliant, gorgeous wife with tons of pictures of their beautiful kids. How I ever let him go was beyond me. I shake my head and walk to my cabin, which was surprisingly really nice. It was nice that we had our own cabins rather than having to share with people we didn't even know if we'd like anymore. I tossed my bags on the bed and checked my watch. There was a dance two hours, and a 'gathering' on deck probably going on now. I looked at myself in the mirror and combed my fingers through my hair. Good enough for now.

John
I had already checked in and changed, putting most of my stuff away. I know they didn't really want us to bring our cell phones, but I really couldn't live without mine if one of my clients needed me. I pulled on my leather jacket, as it was windy and cold up on the deck and made my way up there, not really intent on socializing with too many people. I guess I could, but I didn't really want to. I headed up there and the first thing I knew some guy was chatting away about his internet company and NASDAQ. I wasn't one to follow the stock marked. I simply nodded and listened. "I'm actually a music producer. Yea, I'll be back.." I said, shifting away. I needed a bit of air, away from the crowds. I walked over to the railing and leaned against it, watching the land slid farther into the distance. I guess it was too late to turn back now.

Of course it had to be on a boat, I mean, that was just perfect. Okay, Kylie - try to be optimistic. I got sea sick so easily, and crusing around at top speeds wasn't my idea of fun really. Although the Bahamas was a nice reward for the trip. I walked to my cabin and put my bags in the tiny closet, intent on unpacking sometime in the not too distant future. I looked out the window at the passing water, and was strangely at ease about everything. Not just my stomach, but just about the weekend, who knew what could happen?

"No, see, I thought YOU were going to be rooming with me." I said to the girl at the check in desk with a grin. She laughed and we talked for a few minutes about our lives, and promised to catch up later. I was exhausted from my red-eye flight in from New Orleans, and this was going to be a long trip. But it'd be worth it, especially to see my old friends again...and Abby. God, I'd really missed her, and regretted not being with her today. Who knew what could happen? I walked to my cabin and tossed the bags on the floor, not wanting to take time away from meeting up with people. I locked the door behind me and walked up the hallway.
