Jeff Maxwell
Summer.Jeff Maxwell had always liked that part of the year.Sun,girls, partying,no school. There was really no downside to it.And Jeff was geared up for this summer, only he kind of felt like there was this dark cloud of 'the future' looming which really fucked things up.It wasn't like his upcoming 'future' was so bad.It wasn't bad at all. When fall came around,he would be heading off to Princeton.Everyone had been a bit shocked to hear that the Maxwell kid who always was off causing some kind of trouble had gotten into a top ivy league school. But Jeff hadn't been surprised,or at least,he acted like he wasn't surprised. He made a promise to himself at the start of junior year that he was going to not only get out of this town but also knock the socks off everyone. So he balanced his party time, his troublemaking, with actual studying, getting good grades. It wasn't that hard.Jeff had always been naturally smart. It's just he didn't like to apply himself. His father always hated that about him.He said Jeff only did what Jeff wanted to do.He couldn't be swayed by anyone. No one could get him to do something he clearly didn't want to do.Jeff was excited for Princeton but he had to admit, though he wanted out of this town,he kind of had a soft spot of his heart for it.

He had a name here.People knew him.And when he went off to Princeton next year, sure he'd make a name for himself but the fact remained that there would be people who were richer than he,much richer, and who could do more extravagant things, and things wouldn't be like here at home. But he wasn't going to be lame and think about all that now.It was summer. It was fun.He heard a knock on the door and because he was sitting in the livingroom,he figured he'd get off his lazy behind and get it.At the door was his friend Carson.Jeff smirked. He could already tell his friend wanted something."You better stop stalking me or people are really going to think you're obsessed with me,"Jeff teased,a smirk dancing on his lips.He and Carson often caused the usual mayhem together and Jeff had to admit that he would really miss him next fall."What can I do you for?"he questioned.

OOC:I'm stupid...Charlotte's nickname is obviously Charlie and not just Charlotte again

Charlotte *Charlie* Hartigan
Woo-hoo...summer time already. It's not that Charlie didn't like the sunshine like everyone else.As long as she didn't get sunburned,it was great. And the summer did bring some cool interesting outside people to town but it also brought some people Charlie just couldn't connect with...the preppy giggly girls, the greek god sun tanned boys. They just weren't Charlie's style.Charlie was interested to see what this summer brought though. She was working at a local music store in town and adding up her money. It was important because after this summer, she was planning on getting out of here...going out to New York.It was far away but Charlie knew it was her scene. She had known ever since the first time she listened to a Ramones song.It was just her.She inherited a New York fashion style back when she was 13,while the other girls were channeling Barbie.

Today, she wore a dress she'd made herself over a pair of skinny jeans with her classic worn out converses, which had seen better days. For once, she didn't have work today and she was actually quite happy, though music couldn't escape her.It was in her bloodstream. If she wasn't working at the music store, she was walking around today, with her favorite big headphones on,listening to The New Pornographers.Yeah...she really had to get out of this town.As she rocked out to 'Myriad Harbor',she wasn't watching where she was going and she felt herself slam into someone else, falling to the ground."Ow,"she let out as her headphones slid off and she looked up at the person she had run into."Sorry about that,"she said as she tried to get up.

Carson

“I need you to sell me some new skis.” He cut right to the case, “Please, please, please open the store for me,” he continued, “I’ll make it worth your while,” he pantomimed like he was drinking something. “You know?” He smiled his winning smile at his friend. “I need the D3 Customs, I’ll take whatever color you have in stock.” He was still pissed he’d broken his, but it was his own fault, he’d been showing off and he landed in the water just the right way. At least he hadn’t broken himself. He knew he’d have some bruises tomorrow, if he didn’t already. “Our show is in ten days, I need to start breaking them in tonight.” He loved skiing at night. It was such a rush. “And then we’ll party.” It was a convincing argument. The boat house was stocked, courtesy of an awesome mail order fake id and a tour of the liquor stores within a thirty minute radius. Carson knew how to party. And his free lance web designing provided him the means to put his knowledge to use. He was ready for summer and all the excitement it provided. “So what do you say? Please.”

Zack
Zack was sitting in the kitchen, drinking some juice with his mom, when he heared a knock on the door. He was hoping it wasn't Lila. As much as he liked the girl, last summer ended weird and a lot of questions were not answered. He heared Jeff opening the door, and saying something silly. That would probably be Carson. Thank God, he thought. He drank up his juice and he told his mom that he was gonna go to FNF. Maybe he'd see some old friends.

He walked out of the house, saying his goodbyes to both Jeff and Carter, and decided to walk to FNF. It wasn't that far, and Zack liked walking. Correction: Zack liked walking here. He walked passed a girl with beautiful blonde hair and her eyes were staring at her. He didn't recognize her at first, so he kept walking, but suddenly he stopped and turned around. "Lila?"

She decided it was best to keep riding, after all, she didn’t want to appear too interested. They had shared quite a few instant messages and exchanged myspace comments since last summer, and even a few awkward phone conversations, but she had no idea where they stood. Maybe he’d forgotten about it. Maybe he’d fallen in love with some girl here in town already. His beautiful blue eyes were enough to intoxicate anyone. And why hadn’t Olivia called her back yet? What a brat! Now she had no where to go. Maybe she should check up on the Donato’s or the Lewandowski’s. She was riding aimlessly around on her bike at this point when someone walking towards her caught her eye. He was almost past her when he said her name.

She squeezed the hand brake on her twelve speed, her tires squeaking to a halt. “Was that a question Mr. Maxwell?” She smiled up at him, finding the little buzz her had was giving her more confidence than she would usually have in situations like this. She pushed her hair behind her ears, “I see the place is already a buzz with Summer People. Which I’m sure makes your dad happy.” The Angler was probably one of the highest grossing businesses in the town, due in a large part to tourist season.

He shook his head. "It is you!" He smiled. "And yes, my dad is very... well, yes." He didn't quite know what to say to her. Everything that happened back at home. His old girlfriend wanting him back was like a dream come true, but he couldn't. Something inside him couldn't do it. It was like he was trying to let go every time he had hold on to something so bad. And now... Now everything was different.

He didn't know if he could tell her that he missed her, but he didn't care. It was summer and he was gonna do everything he wanted to do. "I missed you." He said fast. "Do you know who else is here? I'm looking forward to see everyone again."

He missed me! “I’m pretty sure Andrea and Olivia are here,” she smiled at him, “I got a text from Liv, but when I called her she didn’t pick up.” She shrugged. “My mom and I have spent all day unpacking and cleaning the house and everything. It still smells musty, but it also smells like Lysol and Tommy.” Like he knows what kind of incense you like to burn. She shook her head. “I just go away about ten minutes ago, I haven’t had chance to check in on anyone yet.” He definitely did not need to know that she had recently biked past his house. Some things didn’t need to be spoken. “Have you seen anybody else?”

She sent the text off and went to do something. That's right, she went to the bathroom and when she came back, she had a missed call. Opening her phone, she saw it was from Lila. She checked the time and thought that she would give her a call back. She quick dialed her number and it went to voicemail. Not the best way to call someone back, but she left a message.
"Hey Lil, it's Liv," she said as she looked at her nails. "Sorry I missed your call and didn't call you back, I didn't get it til now. Anywho, let me know what you wanna do tonight. I'm free as a bird. Love ya." she flipped her phone closed and this time she would be by her phone when she responds.

Colbie

It was the start of another Summer. All of the townies were getting ready for the families that owned the summer homes near the Lake. The summer was a great time, it was warm...beautiful and I just loved looking around at all of nature. I had lived in Syracuse since I was very young, with my Aunt Pammie in a small modest little cabin-like house on the outskirts of town in the woods. Aunt Pammie's husband had built the cabin when they moved here to start a new life together. But Aunt Pammie's husband died a few years after he finished the house, in a horrible water-skiing accident. She had never quite gotten over it and I didn't think she ever would. My aunt had taken me on when I was very young...around 3 years old after my parents had died in a car accident. It seemed that tragedy followed our family very closely and I knew that the death of her beloved sister was hard on my aunt. Though I was sad that I didn't remember my parents and that I had been too young to get to know them, I loved my aunt as if she were my real mother. In my mind she was the only mother I knew. I had decided to stay and not go off to college just so I could take care of her. She protested profusely not wanting to force me to give up my dreams to help her out but I didn't mind at all, I loved it there and I didn't want to be anywhere else in the world.

My aunt's husband had owned the vehicle body shop and my aunt had continued it even after his death, hiring on the young kids in the town to work for her. It was hard though, owning a business by yourself. As soon as Colbie was old enough to help out he jumped right in to fixing cars and the like. He enjoyed it, it was good hard work and he loved that he could help out his aunt in any way. I was deep in my thoughts when I accidently ran into someone, knocking them to the ground. It was Charlotte Hartigan, I instantly felt badly and leaned over to help her out. "I'm so sorry, I'm really really sorry." I stumbled over my words a little. I wasn't used to talking to any of the girls in town, I usually kept to myself and spent my days working at the shop and then going home to spend a nice evening by the fire reading books with my aunt.

"Oh yes I will." I said thinking about it. It would be exciting to meet people who knew absolutely nothing about me. I could honestly be anyone in New York city...I could make up a whole new identity. Of course it was scary to think about going a huge, scary, and new city by yourself where you didn't know a single person. I linked arms with Stan. "Well thank ya mam." Is aid to her comment about my talents. "I sure hope so, it would seem like such a waste to go to culinary school and then find out I'm no good at it." I thought about her mother luncheons. I had been to a few before. I had been so integrated into their family...dating their son and friends with their daughter. It wasn't that I wasn't anymore...it just felt odd going over to their house while Carson was there. "I would love to cater your wedding. Does the Prince have any cute friends?" I asked her.

"Yay to getting drunk out of our minds." I said nonchalantly ignoring Carson's name. I ran my hand through my hair. "Its been a while since we did that anyways." I said as we headed towards the boat house. It had better be a good night, I was really looking forward to it. "Should it just be us two or do you want to invite anyone else?" I thought about all the new people that were coming to town.

"Let's keep it small," she said, not feeling like a big social event, "unless you had someone in mind you wanted to include in our evening of debauchery." Constance wasn't quite sure what Nico's guy situation had been after she broke up with Carson. Her brother woudln't talk about it, and she could just tell that Nico didn't want to. "I'm still holding out for the prince." When you grow up in a small town with all the same people all your life, an extravagant whirl wind relationship sounds perfect. The pair could see the boat house in the distance.

I thought for a moment if there was anyone I wanted to come to our little party. "I dunno, I wonder who is here for the summer." I looked around at the people coming out of their cars and moving their things into their houses. It would be nice to find a hot guy to hang out with that night. I hadn't really *dated* anyone since the breakup and I figured it was about time, or at least have a fling before I left for New York. "We all are, Stan." I said smiling at her. That was the annoying thing about being a girl I guess. You always expected more from guys, for them to be the *prince charming* or something. I didn't need anyone to rescue me though, but it would be nice to meet someone who lived up to my expectations for once. "Got any ideas?" I asked her, in reference to some of the people who would be there this summer.

OOC: Anyone is free to tag Jeff/Carson Three/Four/Five/etc-somes who always cooler

Jeff
Jeff smirked as Carson cut to the chase. He nodded and then took a moment to think about it though both he and Carson knew he really didn't need a moment to think about it."Dad,I'm going out,"he yelled as he stuck his head back into the house for a minute. It shouldn't be a big deal.Zack had just walked off.Jeff thought he saw little Lila lurking around their house, waiting for his baby bro.It was cute in a 'first love puppies and rainbows' kind of way."Jeff, where are you going?"Jeff's dad yelled back."To end world, save the world, see ya,"Jeff yelled as he closed the door behind him.He didn't even need the keys.He had a copy on his keyring.Actually,he kind of had a copy of keys for most places on his key ring...most that he probably shouldn't have owned.

"The things I do for you,"Jeff joked with a shake of his head.He got into Carson's car and they drove off towards the store. When Carson parked outside,Jeff opened up the doors with his ever trusty extra key and went into the back to grab a box of D3 Customs for his friend. When he returned,he pushed the box into Carson's hands."Flash some cash,"he replied casually and then looked past Carson and walked to the door once more.He loved the store but he didn't want to hang around there after hours when he could be out doing a million others things with a million other people."So what about it,Ebet. You promised me a good time,"he said with a small laugh and **** of his head.He was excited that all of the summer people were coming back now.He enjoyed all his friends here but when the summer people came,it was like things got more lively.Maybe it was the heat.Who knew.So far,he hadn't seen anyone around...only Lila waiting in the distance for his brother. But there were a few guys or gals who he was looking forward to seeing again.

Charlie
Charlie looked up the guy standing over her as he tried to help her up.He looked familiar. She tried to think about who he was.He was definitely in high school with her but maybe a grade or two above her.Colbie? Was that his name? You would think that Charlie would know everyone in town by now but that was nowhere near true.Charlie had a few close friends but otherwise, she avoided others. She wasn't a loner...she just did her own thing. She had her own style of people. She didn't do the whole 'cheerleading' thing...she didn't obsess over the hottest guy in school. She had never been that way.Life was too short to worry about things like that. But at the same time, deep down, she realized that in some ways, she was doing herself a disservice by making such strict 'anti' guidelines. It didn't matter anyway though, right? Soon she would be in New York and she wouldn't feel like she was the odd one out so much.As Charlie got up,she realized that the knee of her jeans had ripped a bit when she collided with the ground."Shit,"she muttered to herself as she thumbed the freshly made opening. She then remembered Colbie was standing beside her and looked up with a small smile."Don't worry about it.I'm fine. Some people even pay for holes like this,"she said with a shrug, readjusting her headphones."It was my fault anyway.I was kind of caught up in my music,"she explained. That was why you did not listen to all consuming music while walking.Charlie usually avoided beginner's mistakes like that.Maybe it was summer that was getting to her.
