ooc: I understand your thought... but I'm not completely sure we're ready for a skip, nothing has really happened... Anyhow, here is an altered Lila post that is more Olivia focused

Lila

"Don't worry about it," she looked at her friend, "it's summer. We can't stress about silly things." She looked over at Zack, now less stressed about him. She felt weird having had another tiny little moment that she thought possessed meaning though she knew she couldn't be certain. "Let's head to the beach," that was the best thing about the city, "maybe we'll see some other people there, too." Lila was enjoying the time she was spending with her two favorite Summer People, but part of the fun of the summer was all the people, not just them. "This is gonna be a great summer." She needed to stop saying that. Who was she really trying to convince?

OOC:I'm sorry for being MIA.I think I might have to drop out of the rp,to be fair to everyone.I'm not entirely interested in my characters and so I haven't had the motivation to post much.I'm so sorry though bc as someone who has a rp currently on FF,I know it sucks when people leave but I thought it would be better to post something official then just not to post at all.Someone can take over my characters if you want or you can just dump them.Again,I'm sorry and I hope we can rp together in a different setting where I can really put my all into it.

Hey guys, I am so so so sorry I haven't posted in the last couple weeks. I had to leave and I didn't have time or anything to say that I was leaving. I was in a different area and we didn't have computer access. I am so sorry that I haven't posted, if you still want me in the rpg (I would like to stay in) than I'll get right to reading the posts and the posting if that is alright. Again, I am so sorry about this

Nico

I just stared at Carson for a second. I remembered when we were together I loved watching him, not in a stalker way or anything but in the way that you watched someone you really cared about because you wanted to remember them in case they went away. It was so very girly and mushy of me and I was embarrassed especially whenever he caught me looking at him for a long period of time. Of course neither of us would ever talk about it, it was too heavy to really think about what it meant. At least it freaked me out a little and I often stopped myself from doing it too often. But I had memorized things about him and the way he spoke and moved, which is what made it so hard to just forget about him and move on. This was annoying to me and I often wished that my memory wasn't so good, that I could just forget and wipe the slate clean. "Urgh." I mumbled a few curse words under my breath. "You really want to play truth or dare with us?" I asked him sarcastically and I rolled my eyes and took a sip of my drink. I looked over at Stan and wondered if she could tell that even though I seemed mostly okay, I wasn't actually entirely okay and I wanted the boys to leave so I didn't have to deal with the issue that was presenting itself.

Carson

“Yeah,” he said, glaring at Nico, “I really wanna play truth or dare with you.” He took a nice, cold Sam Adams from his friend's hand, watching Jeff collapse into one of the bean bag chairs. “See,” Carson motioned towards his friends, “he’s with me.” He took a swallow of the beverage. “Um, tastes good,” he looked back and forth between the girls. “Can’t drink and drive,” he shrugged, “looks like I’m stuck here with you girls.” He smiled, blinking his eyes. “So, Nico,” he said her name very slowly, tasting each syllable on his tongue, “ask me a question. What do you want to know about me?”

Stan

“Carson, stop.” His younger sister crunched her half smoked cigarette out in the ash tray as she rose to her feet. “One sip of beer does not an inebriated Carson make,” she grabbed his arm, trying to make him stand up. “Now, leave, please.” Her attempt at physically moving him was futile. He was a good five inches taller than her with amazing muscle tone. He wasn’t going anywhere if he didn’t want to. It was quite clear that he didn’t want to. She flashed Nico a sympathetic look, letting her know she was trying, not quite sure what to do about the situation.

Carson

“Blondie, please.” He shrugged his shoulders, trying to carefully wiggle from his sister’s grasp. “You know you always get hurt when we play like this.” He looked at her with puppy dog eyes, “now just sit yourself back down, light another cigarette and enjoy my alcohol.” He glanced over at Nico, “I’m not going anywhere.” He looked back at his sister who had decided to give in to his words, even though she kept stealing glancing of apology at Nico, “I’m staying to play your little game.” He had won, at least for now. That made him quite proud of himself.

I smiled. I was totally up to go to the beach. "Sounds fun." I put my arms around both Lila and Olivia. "So how've you been Olivia?"

You know what, Elle, I'm going to take one male townie and one female townie instead of Jeff. Be back with profiles later tonight.

Nico

I sighed and let my head roll backwards wishing I were anywhere but here. Why in the world did we come here? We knew....I knew that *****ing Carson could show up at any moment, and of course he would want to ***** with my head. He was like that, he was a complete and utter a**hole sometimes and I couldn't take it. I fixed him with one of my iciest glares. It was one of things I was...proud of I suppose. People often were surprised at how good I was at death stares. If someone pissed me off I just fixed them with a long seething look and they were instantly uncomfortable. It was one of my many talents and my parents had told me that I used it often when I was younger, especially when I was just "growing up" and more of a young woman than a child.

I was annoyed with the way that Carson called his sister *Blonde*....I didn't know, there was something so patronizing and chauvinistic about it that just pissed me off even more. How I longed to just sit and drink all night with Stan and have a few good laughs, it would be so much better than spending it playing *games* with Carson. I felt a little sorry for Jeff though, he was a poor innocent bystander in this standoff between Carson, Stan & I. "Jesus, Carson." I mumbled taking another sip of my drink. Why couldn't he just leave us alone, he had already been a jerk, not to mention the way he always treated me after we broke up...even during our break up. It was the whole reason it was over between us, he always handled bad situations...badly.

I stood up and decided to play the game with him. Despite my reservations and the obvious fact that I was still upset about the whole debacle I was never one to back down from a challenge, especially one fro my a**hole ex. I grabbed the Sam Adams from his hand and took a swig and walked around the room a little looking at him, trying to come up with something really good. "Is it true that you slept with some skank while we were still dating." I asked him. I didn't ask it just to make him uncomfortable, I really wanted to know.

Jess
Jess was a bit of quixotic person, as such she was more often found half awake under the shade of a willow tree beside the river, than at her job where she was meant to have been bagging groceries. It happened so often that she swore that the ground beneath that tree had curved itself permanently to shape and that the manager at QuickStop Mart had retained her as long as he did out of respect for her mother rather than any prowess with paper of plastic. The job was not really needed, and she had managed to keep it all through the winter months before the tourist had begun to spill into town. There wasn’t much to do during the winter and she’d been a very practical person in her saving so money wasn’t as hard pressed an issue as it might have been otherwise. Book in hand; Jess dived into the words of D.H. Laurence with abandon. She imagined that she was Constance Reid nee Chatterley, and that the lazy sun of Syracuse was the grey stifling world of an English coal mining town. It all seems so terribly romantic, so wonderful interesting and so different from her life. The immersion in classic text aside, the warm summer wind lulled Jessica to sleep, book placed securely over her eyes it was only the sound of a voice which called her from sleep several hours later, after the sky had turn dark.

Carson

Watching quizzically as Nico extracted his beer from his hand, Carson wondered what into what he might have gotten himself. If Carson was going to play hard ball, it looked like Nico was going to play harder. He put his hand to his chest as if he had just been shot in the heart. He coughed a bit at her harsh words. The fact was this fire was the exact reason he had been crazy about the girl in the first place. He recovered quickly, straightening himself up and staring back at her. With his eyes lock in hers he approached swiftly, taking back his Sam Adams. “Beer and liquor don’t mix dear,” he nodded at her practically empty glass of whatever it was they two girls had mixed themselves. “I don’t want to have to clean up after you.” He knew it probably looked like he was avoiding the question. And, well, maybe he was.

Yes, he had hooked up with some girl on New Years, but he wouldn’t call her a skank, and since Nico was with some other guy he really didn’t think they were still together anyhow. Did he wish the whole drawn out drama had never happened? Yes. Could he take any of it back? Did reliving any of it change anything? And did he really want to air all their dirty laundry right there in front of Jeff and Stan? “Yeah, it’s true I hooked up with Rebecca on New Years.” He took a huge sip from this bottle, not really wanting to talk about any of this, “But it wasn’t like we were really still together.” Sure, he could have played dumb and just said no, but he knew what she meant, even if he saw it in a different light. Girls always did seem to have two sets of rules. “I saw you with Greg at that party, it wasn’t like I was the only getting it on that night.” As he spoke the last few words he made a few inappropriate motions with his hips. He took another sip of his beer and looked out the window. He didn’t even want to see the look on his sister’s face. Even if she did know about Rebecca, he was pretty sure Nico hadn’t told her about Greg. She was relatively sure that Nico had painted herself as completely innocent and made Carson out to be the villain of the story. He wasn’t innocent, but neither was Nico.

He couldn’t stand the feeling in the room. He didn’t want to look at Nico and he couldn’t look at Stan. This was all too emotional for him to look at Jeff, so that wasn’t even an option. Without changing his gaze he decided it was best if the game continued. “Stan, truth or dare.”

Stan

Carson always made her feel like such a baby. Sure there were only two years between the two siblings and Stan was far more mature in some ways, Carson had a way of making his sister feel like the annoying five year old he and his friends used to tease with fish worms. She looked down into her glass, noting it was almost empty as she listened to things play out between her brother and her best friend.

She took a long sip of her drink, fearing that Nico was playing right into Carson’s hand with the question she posed. True, Stan knew nothing of any other girl that Carson had slept with while he and Nico had been together. She knew their relationship had started to fall apart after Christmas and had been reported DOA after New Years, but she had never asked the details and neither party had ever offered. She had liked it that way. She didn’t need to know this much about her brother. And she didn’t want to know all this about her best friend. Perhaps a part of Stan really was immature. “Truth I guess.” She wasn’t brave enough to deal with one of her brother’s dares. She could only imagine what he might dream up.

Carson

“Baby,” he scoffed, looked at her and rolling his eyes. At least she had taken the spotlight off him for the moment, at least he had hoped. “But whatever,” he finished off the bottle of beer and set it down on down on the counter. He considered his options for a moment. He knew a lot about his sister. But at the same time, there was a lot he didn’t know, too. And while he assumed that any of the silly growing up stories he knew about her were fair game, she could do the same thing to him given the chance, and he didn’t want to talk about some of the crazy things he did as a little kid. He went over to the refrigerator and got two more bottles of beer, delivering one to Jeff, even though it didn’t look like he was half way through his first bottle yet. He looked back at his sister, “I’ll go easy on you.” He smiled at her, “Who was the last guy you slept with?” It was an honest question to which he didn’t know the answer. There were some girls who paraded their sexuality around and didn’t mind talking about their latest sexcapades, he had never been privy to any stories about Stan. He wanted to know, after all, he needed to look after his little sister.

Stan

She left off a shallow sigh. She didn’t think that was any of his business. But, she knew she couldn’t do that either. The problem was she didn’t have a good answer. “I don’t think you know him, actually.” She started, swirling the watered down liquor remaining in her plastic cup around inside it. “His name is Richard,” she shot a funny look at Nico, hoping she pick up on the fictional indication she was trying to send. “He’s tended bar at a couple of mom’s parties.” She bit her lip. The idea of sleeping with the help would so anger her mother. It was actually kind of funny. But, he hadn’t been the last. He had only been a brief kiss after the ball dropped, though she wouldn’t deny wishing it had been more, not even to Richard. The fact was, there was no last, because there had been no first. Constance Ebet was a virgin. And in a world where both her brother and her best friend did enough bed hopping to provide story lines for a years worth of soap operas, she didn’t really want to put that fact to words. Nico knew the truth and that was all that mattered. And if Stan could act casual about this fictional encounter, neither Jeff nor Carson would have to know the truth.

Carson

“Looks like mom’s training you well.” The fair haired boy countered as he listened to his sister’s story about boinking the hired bartender. “She seems to favor the help over dad most days, too.” He had thought he had walked in on a few delicate situations with his mother, but the fact was he had jumped to conclusions. Mrs. Ebet was a faithful woman who loved her husband. She was also kind and a bit flirtatious. Being that the Ebet Matriarch held Carson to a higher standard than he was willing to achieve the pair were regularly at odds, leading Carson to the worst conclusions possible, even if they had no real basis in fact.

“Whatever, Carson,” the blonde girl countered, knowing her parents really did love each other. “Nico, truth or dare.” Constance wanted to move the conversation away from herself and away from her mother. She wasn’t going to let her brother take his assertions any further.
