Plot

It's 2016 and the world is in peril. Everyone always assumed that aliens weren't real and neither were anything the world believed wasn't. Everyone was living in bliss until two people accidentally discovered something strange. There was a hole coming out of nowhere. When people emerged from it it was shocking, but what came out was unheard of. Characters from our favorite shows,movies,comics,books and plays were just an idea/concept created by someone. Fictional characters coming to life was disturbing and changed the lives of the two people who discovered it.

A second hole popped up not long after and the government was at a loss as to how to explain it. A psychic received a message during one of her channeling sessions. A group of aliens have been planning to take over Earth for awhile. By making fictional characters real, they're eroding at reality. No one will know what's real and what isn't.

In order to solve this problem, the government has recruited a group of humans with different skills and paired them up with fictional characters. In order to avoid Area 51, the characters have agreed to fight a common foe.

The enemy

Reptile Aliens have been on earth for years. Everything you've seen or heard in the movies is true. They've been using alien technology to erode at the fabric of time, space and reality. The holes make it easier for them to start coming into our world. With them, they've brought beings from another dimension.

The formless ones can't exist in our world. In order to survive and function,they use humans as a host. They implant false memories and slowly make the host forget their real life and their actual personality. They've all come with the characters from the hole.



This game is pretty simple. There's no B/G rule, there's just an OC/fandom rule.

The villains are NPC's atm,but if you want to play one,feel free. Since the fictional characters are played by actors, it's okay to use the same PB as someone else. For instance, Captain Cold is played by Wentworth Miller. If you want your character to be PB Wentworth Miller, go for it.

As far as powers go, use common sense. Not everyone can be affected by the holes. If Barnes and Noble carries a book on how to do something, it's real. If there's been actual video footage of something being possible,it's possible. New age stuff? Of course.

For fandom characters, the only difference is that where location is,you'd put in their world. You'd also put powers. Even if a human has powers, they still put it under skills.

If you decide to be a villain, say how they got the job and add powers.

I had a crazy idea, though. For those lacking inspiration as far as new characters go,would it be weird to bring in our old/favorite characters? Like, if you brought Leilanna in,she could count as a goT character. If I brought Avalon or Rukmini in,they'd be humans.

Does that sound weird?

I had two different OCs in mind, but I think I'll go with the male OC who's a physicist interested in alien life and the paranormal? If I make another fandom character I'll do the other OC but he's my first choice in that regard. Just wanted to see how that sounds to everyone.

And that doesn't sounds weird if people are lacking inspiration and want to bring them in.

Well, oddly enough ...

I was going to ask if I could potentially bring in my character Jack who originally The Joker in a "Gotham" styled game. But I'd want to use him for my OC character if that's possible.

That's fine. Letty,your character sounds like he could be one of the villains.

As long as everyone has one fandom at the least, it's fine. I'd like for at least 3 characters to be from existing,outside fandoms.

I'm bringing in characters from Starchild, since the old one was the last time they were used. I'm putting them on reserve,though.

I think it's okay to do requests,too. Like, if you want a Magneto or Beast for Raven and someone is willing, it would be shiny.

I'm requesting Barry or Kylo Ren. If someone can seriously be Matt the Radar technician, I'd let you break the rules.

I saw a legit video of Kylo Ren having breakfast with Harry Potter. Rey is referred to as his cousin.

Shiri is a huge Roswell fan and dreamer,so if she ever wants,I saved Liz for her.

I posted in your thread about it,but I don't want to hog the posts or anything.

If someone would seriously throw me a bone,I'd be so happy. Realistically,though...Barry would have been more useful.

I'm going to update the OP,but the humans need to put why they're there. Did they discover a new hole, run into one of the fictional peeps by accident,are they already working for the organization,etc...

I think saying fictional character is going to get clunky,so I'm calling them iMags.

I haven't picked one for my female character yet. She's a previous character I've played in other games,but she's being retooled. I also have to do Snart's explanation as to how he got there.

That can work. Then again,there's also more than one Flash,just as there is more than one Oliver. Smallville had Oliver Queen first and Smallville had Bart Allen,Barry's grandson.

I mean,if it's really necessary,I'll do it. It just would have been fun to have him around. Sara's more than enough as a partner.

That's true! It'd definitely be interesting to see someone from the Smallville universe.

We can see over time? Like after a bit of establishment and RP if we don't have a Barry or Bart? We can probably go for a little while before we need him fully.

Yeah,it is. It's been snowing here and I still have a cold,so I haven't worked on my profiles yet. I may play Laurel so she'll ACTUALLY have a storyline for once in her life.

I'm in. I don't know who my fictional will be only that I'm taking a male. My female OC will be a character I previously played in another rp. Harleen Quinzeel who is basically Harley Quinn pre-pyscho making via the Joker. I already got using her as my OC pre-approved. She will do some psychological crap and crap. YEAH!

I just realized that I need a 2nd OC. I'll play a guy, I just need to pull one from the story. I may use the character I posted in the development thread,I don't know. If I do,he'll be one of the villains they'r fighting against.
