Road Trip

The Story: - Short and Simple...

Road trips. Everyone knows what those are all about. This one in particular, has everything to do with 14 high school students. All of them have just graduated from Lincoln High School in Los Angeles, California. And all of them, have different plans for their future. But as far as summer goes, these 14 friends will be spending all of their time together. For some of them, this trip is their last chance to make a few last memories with their friends before they say their goodbyes and move on with their lives some place else. And for the few people who are looking to let that special someone of theirs know how they truly feel...Well, now is their last chance. People always promise to keep in touch, but everyone knows that life gets in the way and those close friends are soon gone, but not forgotten. And most of them wont be heard of or seen until their reunion, which is why this road trip is so important. This road trip will either break friendships, or strengthen others...just hopefully they will all make it through the summer .

Rules: - As if any of you actually read these...

Boy/Girl rule. Though, I can make an exception. If you want two girls, or two guys, that's fine. Just make sure that you have someone else to play the opposite sex so we can have things evened out.

No more than two characters.

No one-lining. I don't really think that's much of a problem on this board, but I think it should still be mentioned. I think a good goal is to keep your posts at least 4-5 lines.

Get in your profiles ASAP. I think we all know how impatient we get waiting on one person.

Lastly...I know, 14 people on a road trip might not be all that realistic. But I wanted to get in as many people to the rp as I can. Although, I'm not going to have an insane amount of people. On the road trip, the students will be taking two vans. Once all the profiles are in, I will assign who is in what van.

Name: Anna Solario
Personality: Anna is a risk-taker. She thrives on having fun and living every moment like it is her last. She wasn't always like this. Anna's mother commited suicide when she was fourteen, and that's when her wild and reckless behavior began. In a way, she blamed her father for what her mother did, although she knows it wasn't his fault at all. No one could have suspected that Josephina Solario would kill herself, she was a loving wife and mother, and Anna loved her very much. Anna acts this way as a way to deal with the grief. She has matured significantly since her mother's death, but she still has a lot of growing up to do.
Plans after the trip: Anna wants to stay in Los Angeles and pursue her dreams of being a successful fashion designer.

Personality: JR has always been the poster child for the perfect teenager. Star quarterback, straight A student, graduated at the top of his class.. and he's actually a really nice guy. The trouble is, no matter how popular he was, or how many friends he had, he never truly felt like he belonged. He wants to be something more than what his father expects him to be. He knows he has more potential, and that he has more inside of him. His father has planned his son's life from the day he was born. Playing college ball, eventually going off to Med school to become a successful doctor. In fact, JR wants exactly the opposite. His hidden passion is art. He loves to draw, paint, you name it. Art fascinates him and gives him an outlet to express himself freely. He just doesn't know how to break the news to his dad.
Plans after the trip: Is heading off to UCLA with an undeclared major as of right now, he wants to study Art but knows his dad would never approve.

Name: Sophia Cullen
Personality: There are different sides to Sophia Cullen. She is your average every day tom boy. She's always been like that. She doesn't like doing the whole fancy little dresses and make up thing. No way. That is so not her. That is not something she wants to be ever. She is just as content with climbing tree's and running outside. She is adventerous. She hates standing still for to long. Sophia Cullen can't sit still. Most of the time Sophia is smiling and laughing. She has a tendency of coming off as naive. Don't let Sophia fool you. She is not completely like this all the time. She does have a serious side to her. She is very spunky and not afraid to speak her mind. She doesn't break her back to make people like her. She isn't afraid to stand out like a sore thumb and do her own thing. She is very comical. The thing about Sophia is that if she likes you, she's very loyal and protective of you. She'll have your back no matter what but if you do something to tick her off, you'll be on her bad side. It's not easy to get off that. She doesn't trust people easily that betray her. She tends to be very open and upfront in the beginning until someone screws her over. You can decide whether that is a good thing or not. It's apart of who she is. She can't help that and once you do get on her bad side, your gonna stay there. She holds grudges for a long time. She can't help that. Really she can't
Plans after the trip: Sophia doesn't have plans. She doesn't like thinking about things ahead of time. She just goes with the flow and see's where it leads her. That is how she opperates. She wants to have fun while this trip lasts and then she'll decide what else she wants to do when the time comes. She lives for the second and doesn't really like to think to far ahead. She doesn't like plans or being tied down. She is indecisive like that. Her dream is going some where far and starting a new life. She really wants to become a writer. That is her dream. Whether it comes true or not is completely different. She doesn't really bother herself about the concept. She just takes things as they come. So far that's been working for her

Name: Bryon Harrison
Personality: Bryon is the type of guy you would love to hate and hate to love. If you look arrogant and egotistical up in a dictionary your bound to find his name. He is probably the hardest person to get along with. Ever. He seems like he only cares about himself. He acts like nothing bothers him. He is hell bent on making other people around him miserable and he's a womanizer. He can manipulate easy. Once you have a taste of Bryon, he'll make you wish you never met him. He's not afraid to do or say something you might not like. He comes off as not being that bright either. He really isn't all that bad. That's all for show. He really isn't that bad. There's a different side to him. He has different sides to him when no one is watching. He actually can be nice and have a heart when he wants to. He has his sincere moments. He has a sense of humor. He's actually a very bright individual and has dreams that go beyond what you normally think he thinks. He's very shocking once you get under his skin and see his true colors. You'll see that he's not as bad as he makes himself out to be...you'll see that if he lets you in. That's a big if

Personality: Krissy can be the sweetest girl in the world. She can be loving, warm-hearted, and make you feel like you’re the most important person in the entire world and that she will do anything to help you. But this is only a candy-coated exterior to the manipulative personality that is truly hers. See Krissy thinks that love can solve more than hate and that saying, keep your friends close and your enemies closer that was written about her. Krissy doesn’t trust anyone. She seems to give it at a drop of a hat, only to coax you to trust her, but it is plainly visible that you do not want to cross this girl. Many people who have, haven’t lived a day that they didn’t regret it. If you cross her, Krissy lives to make you more miserable. She will take away your friends, and turn them into your worst enemies, she will spread all the secrets that you have ever told her, for she hates liars. That is the one biggest pet peeve of all, liars. Krissy can’t stand them because of how her father left her mother. See, when the two parents had met, the mother thought he was a well to-do, single entrepreneur, but in reality, he had five families, who he free loaded off of in turn, and was a Mormon bastard. Krissy has never forgave him, and is determined to bring him down to where he left them, in the gutter. See Krissy has another reason for this little road trip. She hopes to find some of her father’s families and tell them the truth; hoping that the wives will leave him, and finally leave him homeless.
Plans after the trip: Although Krissy intends to go to college, she plans to take at least a semester off to find her father’s other families and to travel the world, to get free of all her problems.

Name: James *Rowdy* Rowdy
Personality: There’s not much to say when it comes to James Rowdy. The first adjective to come to most people’s mind is destructive, or maybe even drunk, for Rowdy isn’t known for being much more than that, rowdy. James is out to have a good time, all the time, and really doesn’t think about much else. He thinks feelings are for uptight, sissys and bitches, but definitely not for him. Under his shallow exterior, you would think that there would be a gentler, kinder side to him that just doesn’t show, but really, there’s not. Rowdy is usually the one saying the most inappropriate things, farting at the most sensitive moments, and laughing at any show of true feeling. He thinks pain is funny, and that life is just one big party. Maybe if the right girl came along, she might be able to change him, but chances of that are slim, and James isn’t in any hurry to change his priorities.
Plans after the trip: James plans to stay in LA and see where his future takes him. Maybe he’ll become an actor, a surfer, or a football coach. Whoever will accept him, James will work for. He didn’t exactly try in high school; in fact, he just barely graduated, so his hopes for the future don’t seem too high.

Name: Melaina Ng
Personality: Melaina doesn't create waves, she never has. Most of her spare time is spent at home or at school. She isn't exactly an overachiever and she isn't exactly a slacker, she falls into the grey area. Many people seem to be under the impression that she knows everything and has all the answers. Perhaps it is the fact that she is Asian or maybe it is something else but one thing is for sure, she definitely doesn't have all the answers. It is very difficult to express Melaina's personality with words because there are many layers and it all depends on the situation. When she is in an unfamiliar situation she tends to be pretty shy and reserved but once she becomes comfortable then she is able to be more outgoing. She has a good sense of humor and tends to use it during awkward moments to help lighten the mood. For years now, it has seemed like she has been leading a life separate from her own. Everything has been so planned out for her. Her parents basically know every step that she should and will take and she has gone a long with it. Melaina isn't exactly the clean cut good girl that many people view her as but that is mainly because whatever amount of rule breaking she does, she does it discretely. But don't get the wrong idea, she isn't some con artist. Most of the time she doesn't know what she is doing or where she is going. It is absolutely terrifying. But she puts on a brave face, she plays the role given to her to perfection. With it, she fools everyone into thinking that she has everything together when in fact, everything is mere seconds from falling apart.
Plans after the trip: She is just surprised that she is going on the trip. Her parents weren't exactly happy about it. Her plans, or more, her parents' plans for her after the trip are to go to UCLA, a place close to home of course. But she isn't so sure if that is what she is going to do. She is going to use this trip as a chance to get away from her parents' influences and really think about what she wants to do. And whether or not she would be willing to accept an offer that would involve moving to Australia.

Personality: Ah....Alexis Sanford. Your best friend, and your worst enemy. She's a handful, that much is for sure. She is truly greatful for all of her friends who are so willing to put up with her day in and day out. She's wild, spontanious, energetic, and carefree. She always have to be the life of the party, and the center of attention. Of course, that can get annoying after a while...so there are times when she knows when to settle down and shut up. She just hates awkward silences and she's constantly trying to help put everyone in a better mood. No matter what the situation is, even serious, she'll always find some kind of humor in it. Her not being sarcastic or making some kind of remark would be asking a lot out of her. But, despite her positive attitude and happy-go-lucky appearance...she's not so open about her feelings. Her parents are in a middle of a divorce, and things at home have been a little...shakey. She's trying not to let her home-life effect her...this trip will do her some good, and she's not going to let her friends down.
Plans after the trip: Who knows. Alexis has planned to stay in Los Angeles, beleive it or not. Despite her wild, carefree personality, she's not going to be traveling the world. Not just yet, at least. She's already got it all worked out...She's going to move to downtown L.A. and work on becoming an actress. Already, she had a few auditions set up, and if those don't work out of her, she'll just keep trying, or take drama classes in school.

Personality: Landon is definitely the type of person that understands that, in order to get anywhere in life, you have to work for it. He has been more than willing to work for anything and everything he has, which is good because nothing has ever been handed to him. From the beginning, Landon has been facing an uphill battle but it isn't something that get him down. He does the most he can with the cards that he is given which means, in his own ideology, that his potential knows no bounds. Ok, so we have established that he is far from being a slacker but there is more to him than just being dedicated. He doesn't seem to have any fears about life. He isn't afraid to take desperate leaps of faith as well as small chances every now and then. Whether it is because he knows something that other don't know remains to be seen but it isn't perfect. He has had his share of pitfalls. But no matter how crippling they seem at the time, he has always managed to bounce back from them. Landon doesn't waste his time making enemies with anyone therefore, he basically gets along with everyone. People tend to be drawn to his energy because he never seems to be stressed out. No one is exactly sure why, because he always seems to be busy with something, but they sure do wish they knew his secret.
Plans after the trip: He will be going to UC Santa Barbara for college, resting comfortably on his full ride. Granted to him for his academic achievements. He will probably do a double major, one of which being business. He is still unsure about the other one.

Personality: Robert is definitley the "class clown" so to say. He loves to make people laugh, and he doesn't care if they're laughing AT him, as long as they're laughing. He's a complete goofball, but he's always nice. In reality he's got the world's biggest heart... but in his own, special Robert way. Most people basically think he's an idiot, the type of guy you'd expect to fail all of his classes because he's too busy making the class laugh to actually do any work, but surprisingly he's very smart. He just needs to "apply" himself, but he'd rather "apply" himself to making people happy then trying to prove himself on some standardized test. Most people assume he doesnt try though because his parents are rich and he doesn't need to try.
Plans after the trip: He's not 100%. He's thinking about becoming a pediatrician or something that works with kids. What he really wants to do is work with children who are terminally ill so that he can give them hope and make them laugh.

Personality: In high school Michelle was always a pretty quiet girl, but she's not shy. Around her friends she can say whatever she wants, but around people she doesn't really know, she doesn't talk a whole lot. She likes to set off the right impression for people and she'll do whatever she can to make a good one. She's very sweet, and kind, but she can be very sarcastic too. When she warms up to people, she's more blunt and not really afraid to say what's on her mind. Some people think she's rude because she's so sarcastic most of the time, but she's never serious, she always joking around. Michelle is a very good friend and she tries hard to be one. She avoids conflict as much as possible, and when there's the least bit sign of some kind of drama, she tends to back away, not wanting to get involved in it.
Plans after the trip: As much as she has always wanted to go to college, she isn't going to go. Her dad got her a job with one of his business partners in New York City. She isn't happy about it because most of her friends are staying in California, but she knows at this point there's nothing she can do about it.

Personality: Amanda truly is your average girl-next-door type. She had really good grades, was a cheerleader and a member of the choir... the type that colleges call "well-rounded". She's nice to everybody, even if they're not her favorite people, and because of that a lot of people think she's fake, but if they actually took a chance they'd realize that she really is a sweet girl. Not to say she's all sunshine and roses, she does have a nasty temper and the quote "Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn" applies to her in every way... it's just that it's pretty hard to set that temper off because, for the most part, she doesn't see the point in getting upset with people. She thinks it's just a big waste of energy.
Plans after the trip: She's torn between two passions that are completely opposite, and it's just a matter of choosing between them. She'd love to stay in LA and try to get some kind of recording deal, but she knows that the chances of that are slim to none. Her other choice is to go to law school, something that she truly is interested in, the only problem is that Yale is on the other side of the country... and seemingly a million miles away from everything she knows.
