He nodded. He wanted to settle in first so that he could get accustomed to the place. He hated being here for work. But then again, work was his life. He was married to the job. He cut some of his pancake and put it in his mouth and looked over at Helena.
"Your food good?" he asked?

HELENA

"It's just fine," she replied, telling the truth... mostly. She was used to the best of the best, and this food didn't quite compare. She smiled at him and continued to eat.

OOC: I'm getting kinda stuck on this one... Where on earth could this conversation go?

OOC: I know what that's like. Maybe we could fast forward the characters or something. Maybe they could go for a walk outside??? Anyway, I can help if you like

After eating breakfast, he watched Helena finish hers. It was quite appetizing, but usually after breakfast, he goes for a daily walk. Anywhere really. But, maybe he could enjoy Helena's company because walking isn't fun if you have no-one to talk to.
"I'm going to go for a walk," he said getting up from his seat. "Want to join me?"

HELENA

She looked up from her empty tray and smiled at Alan. "I would love to," she replied. They went up and placed their trays in the return area and headed for the back of hotel. There was a short trail that looped around the lake, just long enough for a nice walk.

He nodded and smiled. Glad that she wanted to come. He watched as she got up from her chair and they walked to put their trays away and to the back of the hotel. The trail was really nice and it beat being inside. Alan was an outdoorsy guy and he knew Helena was as well.
"It's nice isn't it?" he asked looking at her. "We have spent some of this time inside the hotel, we never experienced the outside." he added with a chuckle.

"Yes, it is," she said, continuing to gaze at the scenery. The trail suddenly broke away from the pond and went off into the woods behind the hotel. It became somewhat steeper and the path changed from pavement to dirt. After going up the second hill. Helena sat down on the provided bench and tried to regain her breath. "Maybe we should've asked about this trail before trying it out," she commented. "This is a lot of work for right after breakfast." She chuckled softly and took a few deep breath then she looked through the woods. "Although, it is very pretty in here."

He nodded in agreement. They should have asked someone about it first, but it never occured to him.
"It is pretty nice," he replied sitting down. "I could look at this all day."

She smiled at him when he sat down next to her. It was a rather small bench, so it felt like he was practically sitting on top of her but she didn't mind one bit. She liked the feeling of his body brushing up against hers, even though she would never admit it.
