He had gotten out of his hotel room relatively early for breakfast. He was starving and he wanted to see what the dining room was serving. He had quite a good sleep, but it could have been a little better. As he was going down the stairs someone bumped into him.
"It's okay," he replied and then he saw it was Helena. "Oh hi." he added with a smile.

"Good morning," she said, smiling. "Did you sleep well?" she asked, falling into step with him. Even though the stairs were narrow, she found a way to walk next to him.

WHen he went to shower she tought it was a good time to go. She said to him "Hey i'm gonna go to my own room to take a shower and change clothes. Meet youa t breakfast if you're coming" then she took her stuff and headed upstairs. She hoped that no one would see her. She felt like a kid who had done something wrong and was trying to cover for it.

"Oh. But.." she started, but then tought it was better not to argue with him. "Okay, i'll take it easy today. I thnk i'll go with just eating, reading gossip magazines and watchoing Day's of our Lives. Sounds good enough right?" She flashed a smile.

He nodded and smiled as he walked down the stairs with her. He had a better sleep than expected considering it takes him awhile to sleep well in a room that's not his.
"Yes I did thankyou," he replied. "How about you?"

"Just fine," she replied, smiling at him. "Would you care to join me for breakfast?" she asked. "It may be one of the brief moments of the day when we'll actually get to talk about something that's not politics."

I thought about it for a long time, and I finally decided that I need a change. I can always go back next year if no one takes my old one.

"I would love that," he responded with a smile. She was right, it probably would be the only moment they could talk about something that wasn't politics. The only problem was, his whole life was politics so it wasn't like he could talk about other things much. "Thanks for the offer."

"Anytime," she told him as they stepped into what appeared to be the cafeteria. It wasn't the most elegant room she had ever been in, but it wasn't quite the least fanciest either. She found her way over to the buffet line and grabbed a plate.

They went into the dining room and man he was starving. Not having eaten since dinnertime the previous evening, he thought he would collapse if he didn't eat something soon. It was a nice room and he made his way to the buffet line.
"What are you gonna have?"

"Oh, I don't know," she replied. She was starving but she didn't want to appear like a pig, and especially not in front of Alan. So she grabbed a few eggs and a bowl of fruit and headed over to one of the round tables.

"Me neither," he looked at the table at all the food. He decided to get some toast and some spreadables in a pack so that he could put some on when he got to the table. He also got a few pancakes and an apple and put it on his plate. He wasn't a pig, he was just hungry. "I hope we don't do too much political talk today." he said when they got to the table.

When she saw his plate, she kind of wished she would've gotten a heftier portion. She poked and proded at her eggs and said, "I hope so, too." She'd much rather just wander around the place and get comfortable with it a little more before they went into any serious discussion. And, for some odd reason, she really wanted to go swimming.
