"Well, as long as the tabloids don't get pictures this time, I think I'll be alright," he said, laughing softly. He felt a sharp pang in his head and set his drink. "I think I'd better stop," he commented. "Don't let me order another one."

HELENA

She smiled and took his arm. It was nice to link arms with a strong man once again. It was just something about him that made her feel like a school girl again, but she just didn't know what it was. She sighed heavily as they stepped into the elevator and smiled up at him.

"Please don't remind me." she had been so humiliating last time. "But i can't deny that those pics weren't hot. And where in this goddamn hotel in the middle of nowhere, so i don't think they care about us out here."
"And okay, but i bet that the next secong you beg that you can have one more drink" she said, laughing.

He smirked, remembering the photos. They were the only way he really knew what had happened. Usually when he got drunk, he didn't remember anything at all, and that was one night that he would've liked to remember. Maybe someday he would make a memory that he could actually recall. "Even if I do," he started, "don't let me."

"Okay. This is gonna be so much fun" she muttered under her breath but just said "Allright then" to Ric. They had spent that many drunken nights together that Kathleen knew how they all ended if she didn't stop him from drinking. It was nothing like he was an alcoholist, but when he started drinking... well then he liked to drink a lot.

"I think I might retire to my room," he commented and slid off the stool. "I figure in that case, I can't get any more drunk than I already am."

"Okay. Let's get you there" she said when he got up. She went to help him walk straighly. Well almost straightly. She ordered an elevator and they went inside it.

He sighed heavily and brought his hand up to his pounding head. "Well, I'm certainly going to feel this in the morning," he told her. He hated hangovers. He gazed at her and thoughts of what to do ran through his mind.

"Yes i know you are. Like always." she said and smiled. If they were at the office she would start preparing his paperwork for the next day. Sure she had her own job to do but helping Ric wasn't a problem. They got to his room and she opened it-. "Let's get you to bed then" she said, walking him to the bedroom.

When they were inside, he leaned up against one of the walls, his hands still on his forehead. "Do we have any pain killers or anything like that?" he asked. Sometimes it seemed like Kathleen had everything known to man in her purse.

"Yes i have some painkillers. I'll get you some water." she said and went to the kitchen area he had. She took a bottle of water from the fridge and fev pills from her purse. Ric had wondered someday that how she could have everything in her purse. She walked back to him. "Here it is. Why don't you take your coat and shoes off and go sleeping? The more you get sleep, the better you'll feel next morning."

"I'm not so sure of that," he said, taking the pills from her and downing them quickly. He went over and sat on the edge of the bed and began slipping out of his shoes. Finally, he just laid back and relaxed on the comfortable matress. "This is surprisingly comfortable for a hotel bed," he commented.

She sat next to Ric in the bed. "Yeah it is. I could fall asleep in here." she said and yawned. She was really really tired and she just let herslef fell back to the bed. She still had her shoes on, but she was almost asleep and didn't care that she was in Ric's hotel room.

He glanced over at her lying next to him. She looked tired and so was he. It probably wasn't the best time for anything romantic. He simply leaned over and planted a soft kiss on her cheek. He then wrapped his arms around her.

"Aww feels good..." she mumbled, almost asleep. She didn't have the energy to trun around she she just kissed his hands, and then fell asleep.
