| Pacific Grove | A MYOC RPG | Pacific Grove | Ah, California; sandy beaches and mile long coasts galore. Whether it’s the movie stars you’ve set your sites on, the trolleys treading through miles of winding history or the underground music “scene” few have tapped into, it really is the land of dreams, and it’s no wonder so many people have been looking to relocate over the years. Across the Boardwalk and just ten miles outside of Monterey Bay is Pacific Grove. A quiet, if not lucid and ideal community, Pacific Grove has little acclaim, but the lack of notoriety contributes to its attraction and allure. Neither an Orange County nor a Stars Hallow, Pacific Grove exemplifies upper middle class suburbia and is quaintly tucked away on the coast as to leave its patrons on the cusp of outwardly society, but remove it just the same. Deep down in Pacific Grove, there’s a story, and it’s found in its people. The story is constantly changing – ever evolving. Matt, sadly, is one of the few who puts an end to such hopes. Brash, irrational, not to mention haughty and arrogant as hell, nothing about Matt is exaggerated. He’s a jerk, simply put, and where some may feel inclined to search deep within the bad boy persona to find something resembling a decent human being, few, if any, will ever find it. Matt can’t be bothered with biting his tongue. An insufferable, irritating little bastard, Matt has an affinity for saying everything that’s on everyone else’s mind, but he lacks the common sense to keep it to himself. Naturally, there are always people at there, girls especially, who take it upon themselves to engage in the futile effort to prove their mothers wrong and tear down the stone wall many ignorantly believe he’s putting up. Matt’s not an idiot, he’s aware of this psyche, and more often than not he’ll use it to his own advantage when he feels the party in question is worth his time. Matt doesn’t need any saving, but that doesn’t mean he can’t indulge you for a good couple of hours just so he can get what he wants. He didn't like attention. It wasn't his 'thing'. He kept to himself... a recluse of sorts... he was just too introverted for his own good. He didn't like socializing and wasn't good at expressing his feelings out in conventional conversation. Most of his time was devoted to music... it was where his name had stemmed from... the god of music and healing. Apollo if anything was a good musician and a frackin' good listener. An apparently intraverted person, he often has overly antimated conversations with those he considers himself to be close with. A few people may know him as simply 'the boy in Bio' but on the whole most people have no real idea who Adam is. And that's really how Adam likes it. Both amicable and weary of the ways of the world, she treads a fine line of playing mediator to close hostile disputes and shying away from a corrupt, distrusting society. Her timmidness manifests in solitude and is responsible for her inability to commit fully to anything that might require retreating from out beneath her shell. Starving for a passion that exists outside of her mind, but fearful of the consequences that could result, Jaime’s constantly engaged in an inner battle between her conscience and her inquisitions. Kohana O'Hara is mainly known for being slightly annoying and doing her best to annoy all people. This is mainly due to her attempt to film her documentary last year. She decided that high school life was the perfect subject. Unfortunately she made some enemies in high places during the filming, mostly because she called them 'skanky hoes.' The cheerleaders never hae embraced that title. Hana is the sort of girl who acts without really thinking, or really caring. Yes, some people might think that she's blunt and rude, but they are just people, and they really can't do much with their opinion. They think she's this rich girl with no problems that's way overly perky which isn't true. Not at all. Peyton isn't really the perky bubbly girl when she gets behind closed doors. Not at all. You'll barely even reconize her. Peyton is the type that keeps two sides up. One for public and one for herself alone. She isn't as happy as everyoe things. She's actually pretty depressed most of the time. She hardley ever smiles. She just drawls and writes. She keeps to herself. She is really a nice girl. She'll do whatever it takes to help a friend out. She's spunky. She'll speak up for herself and she'll have no problem telling you where you can go. She is lively too.
