my friend who lives here broke two fingers in a car door once.

yeah weird part is she was swinging herself into the seat and closing the door at the same time, so she was seated before she realized what had happened!

Better than having it jammed and stuck in there for several minutes. Then again, metal > wood.

Once my friend broke four fingers at once. My friend was slamming the trunk door down and didn't realise our other friend's hand was partially in it.
