It's like the Neverending Story, except it's the Neverending Thread.

For some reason that made me think of "this is the song that doesn't end"

Libby, where is my Hearst post?

Yes it goes on and on my friends. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was...

He shall come soon! Profiles in the new game distracted me. Lol.

Don't start with that song. It goes on and on my friends.

I'm dying over here watching old English granny and old American granny face off against one another in Downton Abbey.

YOU REALIZE IT WAS ME WHO PLAYED THE GALLAGHER PATRIARCH LAST TIME...

...Wait. No. YOU did. That is so odd, I had no idea you were going to take over Frank in the second incarnation that never really got off the ground. But I'm looking at the thread, and you never posted the profile you intended on altering.

Here's the original version I wrote:

Quote:
Taken By: dreamboat
Name: Frank Gallagher
Age: Forty-eight
Personality: Methodical, sinister, decisive, theatrical, cunning.
Three Life Facts:
• Having spent much of his early years tilling dirt and chopping trees on a homestead somewhere ungodly and harsh of climate, fearing attacks from outlaws or mauling by crazed wild animals to say that Frank Gallagher has come far and achieved wonders would be a gross underestimation. Born to irish immigrants during the grand evacuation of the motherland in the mid 19th century, his father took one hasty glimpse at the Homestead Act, shelled out his few remaining dollars, and hitched a ride with a group of likeminded settlers fresh off the boats and keen on a shot at the American Dream. Frank, his father, his mother, and two of his older brothers spent years plotting a makeshift farm in New Mexico, living in a hut made of lumber and sod and deluding themselves into believing they’d made the smart choice, away from cities thick with pollution and subjugation. Once he was old enough, strong enough, Frank demonstrated his long-held quarrel with said misconception by boarding a train back to civilization and never looking back.
• Poorly educated and oblivious to city life, Frank’s first few years of making a niche for himself were rough. He settled in Chicago, a big city growing bigger by the day, working various labor-intensive jobs that barely kept him housed, clothed and fed. Months passed, and he learned how to blend. How to shake off the hindrances of his immigrant irish heritage and play the part of an American-born schlub, an identity that opened paltry fewer doors. Soon he found himself in the service of a law clerk, learning to read and write and better himself still, and when he replaced the man years later having proved mastery over his duties he turned his attention next to the mechanisms of politics and business.
• By his thirty-fifth birthday, Frank had found the success he’d known he so richly deserved. Cleverly timed, ‘insightful’ investments earned him wealth, manipulation of the slightly less than legal sort kept it secure. Eventually he’d have his fingers in all different sorts of pies, overseeing a variety of different operations both illicit and ordinary, and then he was outgrowing Chicago completely. Reinvention complete, he packed up his burgeoning family and moved to New York City, eager for space to expand and new ventures to explore.

He's dead and Beth is dancing on his grave (balancing with a cane, of course).

This makes me want to go back and reread all my old profiles on my LJ to rejoice in how terrible they are.
