I don't think he would have kept that from her.
I figure his ambitions would eventually kind of drive them apart which may potentially account for the one time with Isond, then after that ... Would Lorene take the kids back to Casterly Rock while he continued to serve as Maegor's hand? __________________

Well, at least he was honest.
I'm sure they'd have suffered some strain. She might've just focused on her children after that, pushing aside her own feelings of discomfort re: Tybalt's indiscretion. Probably not? I mean, I know Damon spent much of his childhood in KL. Long enough to become young Aegon's first male fantasy.  Or she could've left Damon with Tybalt and took the others back to Casterly Rock. __________________

Tybalt would have wanted Damon to remain so he could "groom" him.
 But yes, he is at the very least honest about things. If she left for Casterly Rock for some point I see him being stubborn and not reaching out but eventually asking her to return. And then they work on their marriage and things start to get back to where they were before and then BOOM She's gone.  And Tybalt's heart dies. __________________

She was a Martell and they like ... attacked King's Landing.
 Well, she came to "visit" and then was like "LOL this is my son who is also your son" and she and Baelor were captured and I have no idea how they were supposed to get out of that other than the fact that Martell soldiers were slaughtering people in the city. __________________
