New York University | An Original Role Play for Original Characters

| New York University |
Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
its not a question but a lesson learned in time

“A tradition of excellence. A legacy of innovation.” New York University is by far one of the most distinguished and notable institutions of higher learning in the United States. Centered right in the heart of New York City, Greenwich Village, studying at New York University does not just pit you in the hands of the school, but of the entire city itself.

Students of New York University don’t just prepare for life during their four year stay, they embark on a new life the second they step foot on the expansive campus. Vibrant and lively, NYU is constantly changing, constantly evolving, and naturally it encourages its students to do the same. Consisting of a total of fourteen colleges and Universities, NYU offers something for everyone and it’s wide variety of educational majors draws in people from all over the world.

While our story centers around the students involved vigorously in their studies at NYU, it’s main focus is their lives, and how both the school and the city weave their ways in and out of their lives. When you live in the city that never sleeps and you study at one of the finest and most reputable of institutions in the world, life never stands still, and more importantly, the people never stand still.

This story is about the relationships and the connections formed during college. It’s about the keg parties and the sororities. It’s about the classes and the professors. It’s about friends, and lovers, and adversaries. It’s about the ups and the downs, the heartaches, the challenges, and the changes. It’s about the good and the bad, the right and the wrong, the mistakes and the opportune chances sometimes taken and sometimes not.

Most importantly, it’s about life, and the choices that come with it.

Its something unpredictable
but in the end is right
I hope you have the time of your life

| The boring stuff no one ever reads but should. |
Right. So … it’s back. Again. I don’t know how many times I’ve done this, but I’m doing it again. The basic rules apply: Boy/Girl rule: You must follow it unless you talk to me ahead of time. Few exceptions will be made. This is a game for old RP characters, so I’d like to see old characters played. If you feel you’d rather put in new characters though, I won’t stop you. Good grammar and spelling is always appreciated, and spell check is everyone’s best friend. Bold the subjects in your profile or you won’t be added. And, finally, I’d like to see this last a while. If you join, make sure you’ll post, and only take on as many characters as you can handle.

Being the oh so nice person that I am, I’ve provided you with a link of majors NYU offers which can be found here.

Taken By: AngelDevil
Name: Echo Ada
Age: 19
Year: Freshman
Major: Fine Arts
Original Role Play: Players 5
Theme Song: It Could Be Sweet -Portishead
Personality: Solemn, overcome, meditative, enigmatic, inspired, gentle
Brief Background Information: Echo has never been able to claim anything close to a normal life. Her father an uninspired artist and her mother a dreamy inspiration to her fathers dreary artistry, Echo grew up under the impression that her little world was all there was. Despite the fact that they lived just outside Los Angeles, and Echo was forced into school after school, Echo was incredibly isolated, and her parents finally decided to keep her home schooled. Her father caught a big break, and was given a job at an art gallery in downtown New York. The family packed up, and at the age of 14 Echo found herself in the big apple. Her mothers beauty transcended the borders of any of these state lines, and continued to be the first and only apple of her fathers eye. In her eyes she was nothing but a burden on their charmed life, and less than 3 weeks after finding herself in New York City, Echo had retreated far into the little haven she called her room. She stays there almost indefinitely now. With parents that could care less about her existence and a small sanctuary, Echo found herself not only apathetic to her situation, but distant from herself and retreated even further from the existence her parents had created for herself. After finding herself in a New York High school and proving to herself that her existence was little more than a blip on the high school radar of importance, Echo began to create the only way she knew how. Using the paints and canvas that her father supplied to her she began painting. And painting. And painting. She became so entranced in the way that the canvas could speak to her without conversation. Her fascination with the combination of colors to create what she could only describe to herself a a very long and involved dialogue with the universe, Echo found in herself what her parents had found in her long ago. A talent for what many other people called art. Echo spent most of her high school years cultivating her new found fascination with the canvas, and when it came time to enroll to university she enrolled to NYU in Fine Arts.

Taken By: FAIT_Accompli
Name: Sidalie Bradford
Age: Eighteen
Year: Freshmen
Major: English with a minor in Comparative Literature
Original Role Play: Players 5
Theme Song: “Home” by Azure Ray
Personality: Amicable, Idealistic, Inquisitive, Passionate, Pensive, and Stubborn.
Brief Background Information: It all started with a journal. What started out as an outlet for random thoughts turned into a document of obsession and initially evolved into a catalyst for the events that occurred during Sidalie’s senior year of high school. The year, in retrospect, her life truly began. The years prior to these events were all an insignificant blur. Her parents were passionately in love with both each other and work, and although neither Sidalie or her younger sister Julianna could ever get away with saying that lacked for anything material or otherwise, their parents attention was rather poorly divided when it came to their two daughters. The Bradford’s assets were more than sufficient in keeping their daughters busy, and by the time high school rolled around, Sidalie wasn’t at all unaccustomed to coming home to a large empty mansion as her father promoted new musicians for his record label and his mother tagged along to be close to her husband. Maybe that’s why she turned to a leather-bound journal to chronicle her thoughts and feelings. The thing proved a nuisance in the end as it fell into the wrong hands on two accounts, the second of which left her utterly humiliated and belittled at a Homecoming dance. Not to worry though, Sidalie found her silver lining in her best friend, Elgin Robertson, and together the two found love. In spite of a few curves along the way, the two finished out the year strong and were even voted Prom King and Queen in spite of the fact that they didn’t even show up to the dance. Sidalie graduated and spent the following summer at a writing workshop in Italy where she discovered a little more about herself and her aspirations. She eagerly awaits coming home to return to her boyfriend, and leaving the drama of high school in the past.

Name: Bridget Cambell
Age: 20
Year: Sophmore
Major: Dance
Original Roleplay: Players 6
Theme Song: I miss you By Blink-182
Personality: Moody, Sarcastic, Blunt, Forgiving, Untrusting, Missunderstood
Brief Background: Well her super-rich parents kept her up in her dream world that was reality. Though she could get anything she wanted it didn't buy her eternal love and happiness. Though when she was in high school she thought she found it with a boy named Bryon. Even though he was two-timing her lots, she knew about it and didn't really seem to mind. A guy had needs right? you didn't always want to pick that same oreo, you wanted to pick different kinds of cookies but always went back to thoes oreos right? Though one day he phoned her, crying, Bryon never cried in front of her, or two her. He told her that he was a dad, with another girl. Pretty soon, she bawled and bawled on the phone, how could he get a girl pregnant? Sure, he could screw them, but get them pregnant was way out of their line. So she dumped his father ass and decided that instead of going to the university that they were both going to, she begged her own daddy to transfer her to NYU. Usually they didn't do that, but like i said before, her dad was super-rich. Money couldn't buy love or happiness but it could sure help along the way.

Taken By: Brooke
Name: Ashlee Carson
Age: 22
Year: Junior
Major: Fashion
Original Role Play: Student Takeover
Theme Song: Mr. Brightside By The Killers
Personality: Driven, Stubborn, Sarcastic, Controlling, Conceited, Judgmental
Brief Background: Well when she was younger she lived with her two parents, her dad was extremely rich. Though they were always gone, her dad was a big time business man who rather did work down in Las Vegas. While her mother was a pilote, who of course, was always gone because of her job. Well thats when Mr. Connor Micheals came into her household to live with her. She loved him to death, and she's sure that it was her first and only love. Though they went through some tough troubles as she got pregnant, her baby died 12 days after she found out by lack of nutrition or something like that. The two decided that they should break up, as for the love was still there, but they knew that there relationship was too heavy for either to handle. Though that was about the same time where she found the papers in the very bottom of her fathers desk. She found papers saying how her 'mother' had adopted her, though her father was indeed her real father. She became angry at her parents for not telling her for 17 years. She hated her step-mother from then, she holds grudges quite easily. She went off to NYU, getting a early acceptance she knew thats where she wanted to start her future. She was huge into making her new clothes when she first got there, to her disliking she found a couple of familiar faces, oh well, as long as it wasn't her step-mother knocking on her door she's fine with it. Though the relationship between her and her father is still quite rocky but their building on it, though she doesn't know who her real mother is. She intends to find that out the next time her and her father go out for dinner.

Taken By: ShiriS
Name: Naturelle *Nat* Cherine
Age: 22
Year: Senior
Major: Politics
Original Role Play: Sunset Shores
Theme Song: Hate Every Beautiful Day - Sugarcult
Personality: Sassy, Guarded, Protective, Spontanous, Stubborn, Hardworking
Brief Background Information: Naturelle has lived in Sunset Shore her whole life but she hasn't lived in a nice fancy house like everyone else has. She's lived in a trailer park all of her life with her deadbead dad. What about her mom? Oh she left a while ago. She didn't care that she was leaving her kids with their abusive alcholic father. Naturelle hates her mother for leaving. That was years ago though and she's gotten over it now. She's started to act sort of motherly to her younger brother though. She just takes care of him and looks after him because their father won't do it. Because she's such a hardworker, she manged to balance school, taking care of her brother, and staying away from her father. She stressed out while doing all of this at the same time but she never let that get to her. She graduated at the top of her class. She knew she was a shoe in for college and that she could go to anyone she wanted. She chose the one that was as far away from Sunset Shows as possible. That just happened to be NYU. She had always been good at arguing so she figured politics would be the best major for her. At the moment, she lives in an apartment with her brother and his girlfriend, who also subsitutes for her best friend. They're the three hostle freaks just like they were in highschool. It's probably always gonna be that way.

Taken By: FAIT_Accompli
Name: Gaia Crawford
Age: Twenty-Two
Year: Senior
Major: Drama
Minor: Film, Television, and Theater.
Original Role Play: Players (the original)
Theme Song: "Reptile" by Nine Inch Nails
Personality: Callous, Masochistic, Selfish, Tempestuous, Unimpressionable, and Violent.
Brief Background Information: Mildstone High School had an overwhelming number of clichés walking its hallways that it almost became a cliché in its own right. Everyone knew to stay away from Mark Walker and Ryan Kluesner, the philandering playboys who’d claimed many a heart and panty hose alike. Just as everyone knew not to argue with Titania Monroe or that Cassy Snyder put shame to any Spanish novella and should be avoided at all costs if you valued both your sanity and your humility. Gaia Crawford was the resident bitch. She was down right scary, and with good reason. Gaia wasn’t unprejudiced. She hated everyone equally, but instead of providing the convenience of a reclusive, dismissive hag, Gaia went on a rampage in the spirit of trouble. She knew everything there was to know about everyone and went out of her way to exploit each and every mishap and weakness in her fellow peers. If she couldn’t beat it out of her victim, she’d humiliate you a la “snitch and blab” style. Gaia was the more obscured half of a duo that wasn’t entirely exposed until near the end of high school when Gaia revealed her identity to a one, Athena Sinclair, Mildstone’s resident gossip queen and radio DJ. Those privy to the legend of Gaia Crawford back at Mildstone insist that somewhere deep down, she has a heart and is terribly regretful for all her selfish, immoral actions. If she were still around, she’d derive a sick amount of pleasure in proving their philosophy wrong and promising that not only is the bite more deadly than the bark, but it starves for blood. Gaia derives pleasure from hurting others. She’s mean to little children and probably gets off on kicking small animals. Her guiltiest pleasure is preying upon the weak and exposing them to their own idiocy. Gaia probably wouldn’t even so much as blink if her words drove a person to suicide. In short: she’s evil.

Taken By: Brooke
Name: Raine Dannings
Age: Nineteen
Year: Sophmore
Major: Mathamatics
Original RolePlay: It's a Hard Life
Theme Song: Gone By Kelly Clarkson
Personality: Missunderstood, Out-going, Tense, Complicated, Fun-Loving, Risk-taker
Brief Background Information: Well she was one of the lucky ones that actually got out of that god-forsaken place. She's not completley out of the mafia that she was born into, she was away from her sister. And unfournatly, she went away from her beloved Danny. But not just anyone can get out, she got a fully-paid for scholoship for Math. She learnt Math from her father, before he died and she had a huge resentment to the rest of her family, but its one of the things that she never takes for granted anymore. She joined the Pussy Cat Dolls when she went to New York. Yes, the pussycat dolls, the dancers that dance in cute underwear for a bunch of guys in a underground club. Yes, the same PCD that Carmen Electra dances for. Though she leads a double life, which is quite exhausting at most times. She's a kinky dancer at nights, and a sophisticated mathlete during the day time. Now, she can barely keep up to that.

Taken By: ShiriS
Name: Stevie Dennings
Age: 21
Year: Junior
Major: Journalism
Original Role Play: Student Takeover
Theme Song: Responsibility - MxPx
Personality: sarcastic, blunt, rebelious, understanding, tough, tempermental
Brief Background Information: She grew up with in a good structured home. She was the perfect daughter for her parents. She went to highschool, fit in with the preps and got good grades. After her 9th grade year however, things started to fall apart for her. Her father died and her mother remarried 6 months after his death. She started to rebel against her mother for replacing her father so fast and bringing another kid into the family (her step brother Desmond). Around that time, she met Ashton Marta and she fell in love. Or atleast she thought she was in love. She became semi friends with him because he liked her rebelious ways. She took his liking too far and turned punk like he was. She started to rebel aganist all of her friends and family. Ironically, the only person who saw through her little act was her step brother Desmond. Ironically, despite Stevie's complaints, this actually made them closer and Desmond is the only person Stevie's truly acts like herself when she's around him. She graduated high school in the top half of her class, only thanks to Desmond, who was her study buddy though it all. He was in high school too, same grade but only a year older than her. At first, she didn't want to go to college, but Desmond urged her to go. And urged her. And urged her. And she just finally went to college so he would stop complaining. Surprisingly enough, she actually likes college. She hasn't dropped out yet.

Taken By: In Fair Verona
Name: Tenli Dresden
Age: Eighteen
Year: Freshmen
Major: Psychiatry
Original Role Play: Players 5
Theme Song: Scarlet's Walk - Tori Amos
Personality: Intellectual, Reserved, Tentative, Introverted, Serious, and Polite.
Brief Background Information: The daughter of a professional painter and a French ballerina is expected to excel at the arts, but her entire life Tenli Dresden has been a very left-brained intellectual enthusiast who adored mathmathics and science. With eternal intrigue Tenli always seemed to stick her nose in places it didn't belong and was always looking for answers to life's riddles, yet all this was before she even really experienced life herself. Not to say that she has now, but senior year at New York High School was perhaps quite the rude awakening after a fairly innocent junior year which was spent attempting to make friends and then smiling dumbly when they ran away. A boy danced with her at prom for the first time at the end of her junior year, and when she tried to approach him after that, well, she never got to because he would always be a step ahead of her, running away. This was the first of several incidents where Tenli would try to put herself out there and be friendly and eventually just get shot down. And then she attended a party where the tragedy of life unfolded infront of her when she witnessed a girl getting raped and found herself unable to do anything to help. That was like a slap to the face, and no longer did Tenli Dresden believe in the good of everybody. Now she knew what people were really like, and she decided to ignore it by once again pursuing her education and trying to ignore all social activities. Through her studies she began to know more about how twisted people were, and this is what spurned her desire to figure out what exactly made them tick. After senior year she bid her sheltering parents adieu and took off to NYU to study psychiatrics. Oh, she also bought a hair-straightener within the course of a year.

Taken By: FAIT_Accompli
Name: Brooklyn Edmington
Age: Twenty
Year: Junior
Major: Journalism and Mass Communications
Original Role Play: Players 2
Theme Song: "It's For The Best"
Personality: Critical, Cynical, Eccentric, Feisty, Refined, and Sullen.
Brief Background Information: Don’t worry. Brooklyn may have grown up with what most would label the “poor little rich girl” syndrome, but she’d hardly excuse any of her previous behavior with it. Quite frankly, it would give her parents far more credit than should ever be warranted. Brooklyn’s parents married for money, or more specifically, to increase their assets. Brooklyn was their first an early born, and although the two stuck it out together for seventeen years, it was hardly to pacify their daughter but more to maintain the illusion in LA Metropolitan’s societal politics realm that they were happy. When the two had enough of each other, they parted ways, and when it came time to divide the assets, Brooklyn got the shortest end of the stick. Both made up excuses, and before her senior year of high school, she was shipped off to Charleston, South Carolina to live with her mother’s brother. A jaded, haughty, sharp-tongued Brooklyn took Charleston High School’s hallways by storm and wrote plenty of articles to initiate gasps and raised brows. Perhaps her biggest legacy however, was falling in love, and Brooklyn immortalized one of Shakespeare’s most exploited lines, “my only love sprung from my only hate.” Prom rolled around, a call was issue, and Brooklyn’s father decided he would finally play his role with little more than three weeks left to reprise it. How convenient. The order was placed, and Brooklyn on a plane to New York mere hours later. She finished out her remaining four weeks of high school in a private school and was enrolled in NYU in the fall. This will be her third year.

Taken By: ShiriS
Name: Jasmine *Jazzy* Hamilton
Age: 20
Year: Sophmore
Major: Music
Original Role Play: St. George's Boarding School
Theme Song: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
Personality: stubborn, artisitc, mature, loyal, daring, witty
Brief Background Information: Jazzy comes from a semi rich family. Her and her brother, Oliver, attended a prive boarding school all their lives. Nothing too out of the ordinary happened to her or her brother until her junior year of highschool. That was when she fooled around alittle with the opposite sex. A much older version of the opposite. Like almost fifty years old. Yes, she was jailbait but she didn't care. The principal of the school was pretty hot and she had to have him. It's not her fault that he kissed her once at a school dance. It's also not her fault that things progessed as they did. She was just going with the flow. That's how she is. And she only does what she likes and she sure like having jail bait sex with the hottie once divorced widower principal. Before she was even 18, she was pregnant with his baby. In the summer of her senior year, she had a baby boy. Bailey Jefferson. He was her pride and joy. She couldn't let anyone know who the father was through. She didn't want anything to happen to Lance. She went on the story that it was rape and she couldn't handle having an abortion. The second part of that is true. She wasn't into abortion and she reused to have one. Her best friend - and Bailey's Godfather - Danny was the only one that knew the truth. Her brother didn't even know. Nor did her parents. With the help of a nearby nursey, Jazzy managed to graduate the boarding school. She continued to see the principle because, after her, Bailey is his son too. After graduation, she and Baily headed to New York City. She had managed to get into NYU's spectacular music program. She likes how her life is going right now. She and Bailey live in an apartment with Danny right outside of the university and they couldn't be happier.

Taken By:Otep
Name: Sage Harlow
Age: Twenty-Two
Year: Senior
Major: Film and Television
Original Role Play: Punks Vs. Preps
Theme Song: The Art Of Balance -Shadows Fall
Personality: Hostile, Dishonorable, Rude, Pessimistic, Antagonistic, Malicious
Brief Background Information: Sage did not exactly have the most exciting, or really the best high school expirence. No, she was not picked on, or made fun of. Actually, for a large part of high school she was the one causing the most trouble. Her school had a little issue with cliques, most like just those who called themselves "preps" and the "punks." It was not just your average cliques problem, these two groups of students despised one another so much that their hatred often erupted into violence. Fights broke out on a daily basis, most of the time Sage just stood by and watched in joy. She loved to watch two people who hated each other beat the other to a bloody pulp. Often times Sage was actually the one who started the fight, no guys in her school liked to hit girls, so she would normally just piss one of the preps off and then they would get so angry that one of her friends would jump in the middle and well..a fight would break out. The thought of attending college not once crossed Sage's mind, but when she actually did her school work her senior year, she found a way to get accepted into school. NYU had a great film and television program, a major she often enjoyed. At the last minute she decided to give it a shot.

Taken By: Dimaranwen
Name: Chastity Kane
Age: 18
Year: Freshmen
Major: European Studies
Original Role Play: Players Five
Theme Song: China - Tori Amos
Personality: Intuitive, Chaste, Independent, Genuine, Keen, and Clever
Brief Background Information: Raised only by her raging feminist of a mother, Chastity lacked any strong male influence, and although claiming she had no gaping hole in her life that desperately needed filling, the absence of her father did not have a negligible effect on her personality. As a pristine girl who lived up to her name, she was a strict practioner of self-suffiency, not seeing the point in depending on anyone, specifically men. She encountered those wishing to destroy her reputation, and unlike the B rated teen movies, she never once gave in. During her junior year in high school, however, she met Levi Pembrooke on Prom Night, although the circumstances in which their friendship began were rather unfortunate. Levi was the heartbroken Prince Charming, and Chastity had little sympathy to muster, but she took an interest in him, and a bond, one completely unfamiliar to Chastity, grew and solidified. They understood each other, and when Chastity's application for a scholarship was accepted, she packed her bags for England to study abroad for her senior year, and Levi did the same. They shared a flat together, never once physically breaching the supposedly thin line between best friends and lovers. Chastity's exact feelings regarding Levi are unclear, even to her. She even entertained the notion of actually loving him, but dismissing her feelings as attachment to the only person she really knew in England, she decided to go back to America, unable to stay away from her home and even her mother. She hardly wanted to part with her best friend, but the decision to move back was made easier when Levi chose to go with her. Their relationship remains unchanged, and Chastity disregards any doubts concerning it to be there for him as he tries to reconcile with his brother.

Taken By: In Fair Verona
Name: Daniella King
Age: Eighteen
Year: Freshmen
Major: Film and Television
Original Role Play: LA High Dangerous Minds
Theme Song: My Prerogative - Britney Spears
Personality: Aloof, Haughty, Foxy, Bewitching, Tricky, and Idolized.
Brief Background Information: Daniella King was the notorious spoiled princess of Los Angeles High School, having everything handed to her on a silver platter thanks to Daddy's fortune in the used-automobile business. Daniella never showed much academic interest but her ability to strategize and use her body to get whatever she so desired would take her far in life. Daniella is, stereotypically, the homecoming queen that will not hesitate to break you if you stand in her path to glory and stardom. Daniella is a dominant bitch who is simply unafraid to get her hands a little dirty in order to get what she wants, which always happens. For example, after using her boyfriend and then tossing him to the side, she still managed to somehow end up getting him back for her selfish needs when she wanted. Nothing very important happened in that year aside from several flings and rendezvous, which in the end amounted to nothing sentimental. However, she did not win prom queen at the end of a year, a real disappointment. Feeling tired of doing what was expected (such as winning prom queen and attending UCLA), Daniella decided to do something new so that she didn't have to feel so much like a failure when she neglected to win or get accepted. Instead, Daniella's interests were turned to NYU, all the way across the US of A. Daddy's money paid for everything and here Daniella is, same girl in an utterly different environment.

Taken By: Spinbeneathyou
Name: Laken Knowles.
Age: Nineteen.
Occupation: Hostess at Carlucci’s in little Italy.
Original Role Play:Players 5
Theme Song: "Not a Virgin" By Poe.
Personality: Flamboyant. Feminine. Promiscuous. Persistent. Conceited. Sultry.
Brief Background Information: Laken Knowles, who could really forget that name? A girl that puts any soap opera to shame. She fell in love. Twice. With brothers. Her junior year in high school seemed to be the most eventful of her teenage life. After many unsuited partners she found herself in a relationship with Cedric Pembrooke the heir of a large British horse racing company who was crazy enough to try and pursue a relationship with Laken. Everything was up and down and intimate objects were flung around the room during fights, but eventually it worked out until Cedric left her to go to Britain without any knowledge of why he has gone and that’s when the second brother came in. Levi was the prince charming of the family and it didn’t take him a long time to sweep the princess off her feet. She eventually fell in love in the short period of time… again and that is when Cedric decided to come back and explain his whereabouts when she realised that Levi had based the whole “relationship” on a lie she decided to pick Cedric. Now here she is in New York, living in an apartment with the charming Cedric Pembrooke and her dog Freckles (a nick name Levi made up for her). She scraped through high school and decided to enter the work force instead of get her university degree.

Name:Sinclaire Lawson
Age:Nineteen
Year:Sophmore
Major: Music and Performing Arts Professions
Original Role Play: Players 5
Theme Song: Change -One True Thing
Personality: collected, content, docile, estranged, commendable, considerate
Brief Background Information: Sinclaire Lawson is the girl who was always used as a dormat throughout high school. When you were bored and needed someone to play with, to screw around with..Sinclaire was always the person to go too. Its not the fact that she seems naieve, its more like she knows when she is being used as a mere distraction, and she knows when people don't even need her..but all she wanted in life back then was to just feel something other then the nothing she normally felt. She hardly had any friends back in high school, but it wasn't because she didn't want friends and it wasn't as if there was ever anything wrong with her..it was just that she wasn't so sure if she was being used again or if these people really wanted to be her friend. She eventually gave up on trying to fit in, come time for her senior year and after allowing one final person to just use her to make their girlfriend jealous..Sinclaire decided to make a change. She has always been very interested in music, and knew NYU could do her a lot of good..right now this may have been the very best decision she could have ever made.

Taken By: FAIT_Accompli
Name: Caira Medici-Alexander
Age: Eighteen
Year: Sophomore
Major: Political Science
Original Role Play: Crossroads
Theme Song: “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)” cover by Marilyn Manson
Personality: Antagonistic, Cunning, Cryptic, Evasive, Methodical, and Mordacious.
Brief Background Information: The Medici pedigree begets a timeline of ruthlessness, prosperity, and notoriety that transcends not just decades, but centuries. The American extension of the family immigrated to the states just under a century ago, and it wasn’t before long that their Italian routed organized crime conglomeration grew to power. The Medici clan was all but invincible up until about two decades ago when it’s centralized Vegas operation saw the rise of what would become their one and only long-standing rival family. The Liaono’s are far from meriting any credit for the internal undoing of the family, and instead, it comes in the form of their youngest daughter. The circumstances behind Caira’s conception remained ambiguous for years, even to Caira herself, as the affair Charlotte Medici had was quietly brushed under the carpet and she was passed off as a pure-blooded Medici. A young inquisitive and naïve fourteen-year-old Caira found herself snooping through her father’s office and came across a file with her birth records and startling documentation. Previously shielded and sheltered from the illicit on-goings of the family’s underground operations, Caira discovered the alarming extent of their continuous affairs, as well as her true parentage; her father, Charles Alexander, was a close associate of the Medici’s, and had been murdered by a Liaono. Caira kept her discoveries to herself and instead devised a plan to free herself from her family’s strangling hold. For two years, she worked independently to accumulate the incriminating evidence she needed on both families to buy her freedom. Caira confronted Lorenzo Medici, her “father”, with an overwhelming amount of incriminating evidence. Caira emancipated the following week, added the prefix “Alexander” to her last name, and moved to New York on the funds from her trust fund. Less than a year later, Caira learned of the circumstances driving her eldest sisters to desert the family, and the three were reunited and mended broken ties through a mutual affiliation with one of New York’s most influential and “respectable” families. It's now a year later, and the three are a growing, inseperable force of crafty vindictiveness. With their silhouetted heals just inside the door to New York's underground crime free-for-all, it's only a matter of time before they make good on the name they share.

Name: Madison Medici
Age: 22
Year: Junior
Major: Law and Society
Original Role Play: Crossroads
Theme Song: Sour Times -Portishead
Personality: Calculating, pragmatic, vindictive, relentless, tactical, provocative
Brief Background Information: The history of the Medici family goes back long before any of the history Madison could retell for you. Having been the family to invent the concept of 'toasting'(a method used by the family to ensure their drinks weren't poisoned), the Medici family comes from a long line of prosperous and wealthy bloodlines. Tracing the family back to it's days where there wasn't money in the family is nearly impossible, and the family now would be prone to say that it just might have never been. The American branch of the Medici family moved to the land of the free before Madison can remember or care to reiterate. The story goes that as soon as the Medici's found their way on American soil they began to immediately change the political, cultural, and societal climate around them. By the time the Medici family made their way from the East coast to the West, they had already established their importance. Long before Madison can remember her time the family all but monopolized the organized crime syndicate in Las Vegas, Nevada. Owning most of the legalized gambling institutions in a city that revolved around emptying tourists pockets(one way or another) would eventually come with a price, and the Medici family began to see the uprising of another family, one that cared to challenge their monopoly on the city. Madison Medici was the first of many children for the Medici line. As she saw the years pass in her family she also saw the equalizing of the two powers in her city, and saw the eventual tension that was created from this. Determined to take over as the head of her family, Madison grew up both vindictive and cunning, allowing herself to take the calculated risks to reap their own rewards. Through the years of her assumed importance Madison found herself evading the watchful eyes of society(which were fixed firmly on her parents) but not the eyes of her main competitors. Before long it became clear to Madison that in the world of her family they would never let a woman have control, and as a last assertion of importance Madison Medici left Las Vegas and enrolled at New York University as an undergraduate Law Student. The bold move on her part left her all but ostracized from her families gaze but not from their money. The family has been at a bit of a standstill with Madison ever since. Madison has become less and less interested in the needs of then and more and more interested in her own personal success. But it's always nice to have a little bit of money. Oh yes.

Name: Alise Mellingrove
Age: Nineteen
Year: Sophomore
Major: Environmental Studies and Humanities
Original Role Play: N/A
Theme Song: Washing Machine - Michelle Branch
Personality: Polite, Passionate, Activist, Intelligent, Thoughtful, and Progressive.
Brief Background Information: The Mellingroves are a particularly wealthy and influential New York family whom dabble in real estate and are the landlords of several estates and manors and acres of New York. It was the Mellingroves that sold the Pembrooke family their first mansion. The Mellingroves whom sold the mansion were Alistair and Monica Mellingrove, and they happened to live right next door (which was some three hundred feet away) to the Pembrookes with their youngest daughter, Alise. Alise and Cedric Pembrooke were young childhood friends, almost inseperable even into their teenage years. It was then, with the pushing of their parents, that Cedric and Alise began what was like a modern day courtship. At first both were appalled at the idea of dating each other, but inevitably both grew very accustomed to it and actually enjoyed it, developing an even deeper relationship than either expected. However, when they were sixteen, after having dated for two years and going through all their "firsts" together, the Mellingroves decided to move to their new mansion in Manhattan. Thus ended the relationship between Alise and Cedric, and Alise did indeed move on though no boy really held the same place in her heart as Cedric Pembrooke. After graduating from a prestigous private school, Alise decided to go to NYU instead of an ivy-league school to major in environmental studies, something which she believed did more use to the world than being a realtor like her parents.

Name: Evelyn (Eve) Monteclaire
Age: Twenty-two
Year: Junior
Major: Gender & Sexuality Studies
Original Role Play: The Bad & The Beautiful
Theme Song: Nobody's Home - Avril Lavigne
Personality: Mature, Respectful, Allusive, Open-Minded, Down to Earth, Intelligent.
Brief Background Information: Harrison and Jessica Monteclaire are the type of people most New Yorks hate with a passion -- republicans. Their beliefs are quite similar to our president and in complete contrast to their youngest daughter. Evelyn's always been different from the rest of her family; more open-minded and not lured by a tax break. Evelyn's five older siblings have followed the stereotypes that money provides -- rich snooty bitches who look down upon any who can't afford to splurge on Rodeo Drive. Perhaps the fact that Evelyn had a dance instructor who was from the poorer section of town and needed to work that helped to stop Evelyn from falling into the stereotype but no matter how she managed it, the important thing is she did. Unfortunately she fell into the teenage pregnancy stereotype spending one summer hiding from the results of a little white stick. That same summer, Evelyn was in a car accident that lost her baby. As heartbroken as her parents seemed to be about the accident, Evelyn's always believed that they had something to do with because they were worried about what the neighbors would say if she gave birth before she was established. Since then, Evelyn's been estranged from her family despite the checks her father sends to her monthly.

Age: Nineteen
Year: Freshmen
Major: Culture and Communication
Original Role Play: Fast Times at Country (Club) Lane
Theme Song: That Girl - Lindsay Lohan
Personality: Driven, Quick-Witted, Strong-Willed, Impatient, Realistic, Independent.
Brief Background Information: Having spent the majority of her life under the care of her older brother, Jason, Amelia never had a traditional upbringing. When the Ponsots died in a car accident, Jason took in his sister who was then seven. Jason had his own family to take care of but neither Philip or Angela Ponsot had siblings to speak of and were too lazy to ever appoint godparents in case of their death. He refused to allow her to disappear in the foster care system. The line between brother and caregiver was hard to define for Amelia and Jason and so for the most part he took a 'don't get yourself killed' stance on things when it came to his baby sister. Amelia spent her teenage years playing with & watching her nephews. Superbowls, World Series and NBA Championships in a house full of guys could only lead to one thing and no it wasn't Amelia locking herself in her room. Amelia is a sports fanatic which explained her involvement with the girls' Soccer team in high school. Amelia helped lead her team to state championships every year for three years. Unfortunately she injured her knee at the end of junior year and she had watch recruiters talk to her teammates while she made plans for a regular college. In light of her injury, most people would want to curl up and die having their lives ruined in a moment of stupidity. But Amelia didn't do either, she just changed her plans and figured out another course of action for her education : New York University. New York University was decided mostly because she after one family trip years ago she fell in love with skyscrapers and cranky residents and despite the depressing reports of its suicide rate there's still something about it that made it incredibly irrestible to any teenager. A powerful essay about her parents death and a senior prom later and Amelia found herself moving into the dorms as a freshmen.

Original Role Play: St. George's Boarding School
Personality: Open minded, Stubborn, Fervent, Artistic, Persistent, Spirited.
Brief Background Information: Twenty five years ago Scott Saunders and Sasha Hoffman met at a coffee shop. Sasha worked there part time and Scott was a customer. There was a mutual attraction between them the moment they met, since they seem to share the same interests, but both of them were involved with other people. Three years passed before they run into each other again in a Christmas party. This time, however, Scott asked Sasha's telephone number. He called her the next day and they went out on their first date. Ten months later, they got married. At this point, Matthew was allready a well know architect and Sasha was a senior in college. Two years later, the first and only child of the couple was born. Aeryn was pretty much the center of the Saunders universe the first five years of her life. Until then she had the most perfect and normal childhood any kid can dream of. It didn't last though. Aeryn's mother was diagnosed with cancer. Sasha wasn't supposed to live more than six months but she fought against it for three years. Aeryn was eight years old when her mother died. Scott sank into a severe depression back then and sent his daughter to St. George's Boarding School. Aeryn spent the most important years of her life in there quickly discovering her greatest passion: her love for painting and sculpting. After graduation, she got into NYU. Without hesitation, Aeryn rushed to pack her things and fly to New York.

Major: Dramatic Literature, Theater History, and the Cinema
Original Role Play: The Breakfast Club
Personality: Sarcastic, hostile, detached, destructive, malicious, perspicacious.
Brief Background Information: Imogen surprised everyone by annouced that she actually planned to attend university. After the hell that were her high school years at Birmingham High School most people expected Imogen to do anything to get out of further education. Either that or they expected every university in the country to take one look at her record and run screaming in the other direction. While we shouldn't be throwing pop culture reference around, Imogen Sinclair was Birmingham High's Kat Stratford, but this time there was no Heath Ledger to sweep her off her feet and change how she saw life. So she was a complete bitch for the entire four years of high school, instead of having a chnage of heart at the last possible moment. And like said character Imogen's more intelligent than people expect her to be. So some rather unexpected SATS results raised eyebrows. As did Imogen's beg to try to get into NYU. But in Imogen's mind NYC should be different, there are apparently less hormonal morons and football players for her to scowl at. But although the city may be different, Imogen's still Imogen, so it seems highly unlikely for all that much to change.

Original Role Play: Players 5
Theme Song: This is optional.
Personality: Pugnacious, Loyal, Recalcitrant, Mistrustful, Elusive, Unpredictable.
History: She was the daughter of the leading singer of a famous rock band, Mick Starr and of the inheritor of a major stock company in New York City, Anne Manning. Grace was provided with the best that life could offer. The best schools, the best clothes, and the best presents. But Grace never seemed to fit in any of the boarding schools she attended, neither she ever had much contact with her oldest brother Adam and her twin brother, Louis. After being expelled from the last school her parents decided there would be no more fancy schools for Grace. And at the same time, they announced their separation. Anne moved back to New York and Grace was sent to public High School. The divorce was clean. The official press release stated "irreconcilable differences." Anne married a well known prosecuting attorney a year later. Grace's new life, however, wasn't too different from her life in boarding schools. Her house was empty most of the time. It was in her senior year that the most unexpected thing happened. She met Kaden McClaine. And even though it didn't happen immediately, even though there were many fights and arguments, Grace saw something in Kaden that she hadn't seen in anyone else, and she fell for him. After the last summer of high school he left town in what was suppossed to be a thirty days trip but he never returned. Grace has been attending NYU for over a year and had played with the idea of leaving town many times but she has always found a reason to convince herself to stay. Maybe she has finally found her place in NYU. Maybe, somewhere deep down, she still expects Kaden to come back.

Name: Eli Betteridge
Age: Twenty-one
Year: Junior
Major: Anthropology
Original Role Play: Players 3
Theme Song: Track Of My Tears - Gavin De Graw
Personality: Respectful, Sensitive, Receptive, Amiable, Patient, Passive.
Brief Background Information: Eli spent the first few years of his young life with his mother and twin sister. That is until his father expressed in interest in his life and demanded that he come live with him ... in England. It was a harsh adjustment for Eli at first having grown accustomed to things being paycheck-to-paycheck and just the three of them. But his father Grant Betteridge was beyond rich as far as young Eli was concerned and paycheck-to-paycheck was a thing of the past in England. For all of his interest in Eli's life, Grant never really did anything with his son beside pay for his boarding school. During the middle of his junior year, Grant decided that there was no point in continuing the allusion of caring what happened to Eli and allowed him to return home to Seattle with his mother and sister. Things weren't exactly as Eli had left them. His sister was arguably a whore and his mother was incredibly indulgent in her job -- it was a lovely welcome home. Eli graduated with his sister, not really bothering to get too involved in the public school system, and while he went to a respectful university she's tolling away her life at a community college in Seattle. He hates his parents for letting his sister, who when they stilled lived together as children, had so much potential. Most days, he hates his father for choosing to be a father to him and not her.

Major: Politics
Original Roleplay: -
Theme Song: Someday By Nickelback
Personality: Creative, Persistant, Rebel, Humerous, Self-Absorbed
Brief Background Information: He's the NYU's Principal's son. Which equally means that he could have gotten into this university if he passed every course by a 52%. Which means he didn't much pay attention during school, he was the guy that did little pranks on everyone. Mostly because he wanted the attention, and to this day he still wants the attention. Probably because when he was younger his dad was always gone to his precious school, and his mom died from cancer when he was 4. He was an only child, which made him quite bored, him and his grandmother all day. So he's still is and always will be an attention seeker. Though its not just pranks he pulls, he loves pushing girls buttons. He's trying to find one that will actually laugh at him, not roll their eyes and walk away. So even though he's not daddy's little boy, he does get away with a shitload of stuff.

Name: Jacob Dimera
Age: Nineteen
Year: Freshman
Major: Accounting, Taxation and Business Law
Original Role Play: Players 5: New York
Personality: Blunt, relaxed, indolent, observant, unpunctual, maladroit.
Brief Background Information: Most people put Jacob Dimera choice of university down to the fact that he was too lazy to move any further away from home. And whoever said that would be completely right. While other parents might attempt to send their children to universities close to home because of money issues, that was definitely not a problem for the Dimeras. Because to be brash, the Dimeras are 'rolling it in'. They had the money to send their son almost anywhere his rather pathetic test results would get him. But Jacob likes New York. He knows where things are, where the pretty girls like to buy their pizza, and where to get the best coffee. Because while Jacob could be the spoilt brat, he gets the most enjoyment from painfully simple things. And it also means that he doesn't have to deal with the stress of sorting of housing. I mean, why would Jacob move if he didn't have to? You must remember, his house has a pool.

Age: 20
Year: Sophomore
Major: English
Original Role Play: Pacific Grove
Theme Song: Champagne from a Paper Cup - Death Cab for Cutie
Personality: Dogmatic, sincere, dismissive, ardent, meandering, benign
Brief Background Information: Nicholas and Emily Everard have led what many people would call a ridiculously average life. Living in Pacific Grove almost all their lives, Nicholas and Emily met before either of them could remember. The two cultivated a long lasting relationship before finally deciding, two months before their senior year in high school ended, that they were in love with each other. When it came time to go to college the pair went together, stayed with each other all through college, and managed, at the end of their long haul through undergraduate and graduate bliss to stay true to each other. When the two decided to move back to Pacific Grove it was hardly a surprise to the community who had come to know them as the two most homegrown little tots they had ever seen. Their marriage came exactly 1 year after their return to their hometown, and their oldest son, Lucas, was born exactly 9 months after their marriage. Lucas was one of three children. His two younger sisters(Jada and Sarah) both attend the same high school, which also housed Lucas for all of his high school career. Having made few friends and even fewer 'relationships', Lucas was hardly disappointed when it came time to move away from the little town he called home. Lucas applied to New York University in the hopes that he would never have to live in a little town again, and still holds to the mind-frame that the bigger the city is the larger the prospects are. Besides the fact that he was desperate to escape from the claustrophobia that accompanied small town life, Lucas could think of no better city for an aspiring writer to live in. So, without regret, he packed up his life and moved to New York City.

Age: 24
Year: Senior
Major: Dermatology
Original Role Play: Snowed In
Theme Song: Black Hole Sun - Sound Garden
Personality: deep, moody, poetic, sadistic, quiet, bitter
Brief Background Information: Aubrey was never your typical american boy. He was the unexpected second born child of Emily and Hunter. Usually the second child, the baby, gets spoiled but that wasn't true in Aubrey's case. His much older brother, Thomas, was the spoiled one. Little Aubrey was treated more like a live-in then a son. Because of this, he strayed away from his family and spent most of his time in his room listening to gothic music and writing. His parents always left him alone and his brother though he was a freak. When he was fourteen years old, tradgedy stuck and his parents died. Amazingly enough, he didn't cry at the funural. All he did was sit there and writing in his notebook like he didn't care. And he didn't really. He never liked his parents. Why should he be sad and they're gone if they never paid attention to him? Exactly. He could careless that they died. It, in a way, freed him. He was more relaxed after they passed. He may have been more morbid in his writings but he was still free. Begrudgeingly, he moved in with his brother, who had moved across town. The distance that had formed over the years between Aubrey and Thomas was still there and it didn't get much better as time went on. As he grew up living with Thomas while going to school, he went to the dark side even more. He was to the point of no return by the time he graduated high school. It surprised everyone as well his himself when he got accepted to college. He only applied as a joke. He never expect to really get in. He put down a major that he really wasin't interested in but he didn't want to go through the hassle of changing majors when he got to college so he stuck it out. He really doesn't like it and really doesn't pay attention in class but he somehow manages to pass. He's on his last year but he doen't plan on getting a job as a dermatologist when he gets out of college. He's actually planning on publishing a book full of all of his dark poetry and writings.

Name: Ashby Kellison
Age: Twenty
Year: Sophomore
Major: Biology
Original Role Play: Players 3: Seattle
Personality: Sarcastic, Crude, Intelligent, Frisky, Charming, Prepossessed
Brief Background Information: Ashby's family history is like millions of people's in this country, today. His father abandoned his family when he was only barely old enough to understand. There was no longer that man around to play catch with him. Jack left Seattle for California in hopes of finding something he apparently didn't have at home with his boy and his mother Judy. This search was conducted on top of a young woman named Sarah, by the way. Jack would end up broke in a couple of months, and struggling to survive, but he never made any attempts to return home or contact Ashby. Ashby and his mother were very close throughout his entire childhood, and they are like best friends to this very day. He grew up knowing that Judy was working her two jobs just to make ends meet. He may have wanted for a lot that many at his school had without question, but he knew his mother loved him. Still, Ashby resented many of the students for the lack of respect and humilty they had for their riches. There was one girl in particular, but in the end all his hatred didn't matter, because he become rather fond of her and maybe even was in love. But high school was over, and they lost touch. His good grades and scholarships gave him the opportunity to take his acceptance into New York University. He is beginning his second year this semester.

Name: Joseph Kennedy
Age: 19
Year: Freshmen
Major: Physics/Mathematics double major
Original Role Play: Melbourne Academy
Theme Song: New Slang -The Shins
Personality: Driven, disparaging, reclusive, downtrodden, bright, solitary
Brief Background Information: Joseph has often heard that everything in life goes through a filter. Whether or not your filter makes things seem worse or better than they are is entirely subject, prone to change with the person disposition, with their environment, and with their upbringing. If Joseph were to attempt to explain his filter he'd probably fail, but in an attempt to understand his life he's always written down the specifics, just to make sure they were there. Joseph was born to Marianne and George Kennedy, both proverbial nobody's on the universal scale. When Joseph was born Marianne was going to university, majoring in English while working at a 50's style diner. George was a barely there accountant in a failing business he had started with a few of his buddies. By the time Joseph was 4 George's almost non-existent guest appearances became almost a novelty when he divorced Marianne, leaving her to all but provide for a growing child and a hefty loan to her school. To make ends meet George sent the money he could from his almost entirely shipwrecked homegrown business before becoming a salesman for Tupperware in the tri-state region. Whenever Joseph looks back on his history he often compares the situation to just about every B-Rated drama he had ever seen. It wasn't so much a strain on his emotional growth as it was a strain on his academic success. While he was sure that he would never be able to pay for the kind of education he knew he deserved, Joseph worked as hard as he could in his teen years to make his life work. At the age of 17 he was awarded a scholarship to Melbourne Academy in Math and Science, which only served to prove to him that hard work and little to no social life would give him the edge he needed to make himself succeed. What he needed to get through the school was a thick skin and an understanding of the human condition. If anything, Melbourne Academy served to make Joseph even more reclusive than he was in his earlier years, and he spent all his energy on graduating from the prestigious private school with the kinds of marks that would get him a scholarship to University. Having been accepted to Ivy League schools but getting a scholarship from NYU sent Joseph packing for New York City.

Name: Parker Knowles
Age: Nineteen
Year: Freshmen
Major: Business Economics
Original Role Play: Players 5
Theme Song: “Walking In My Shoes” by Depeche Mode
Personality: Aloof, Assertive, Blunt, Lascivious, Reckless, and Tutelary.
Brief Background Information: When Parker was younger, he was convinced that as soon as high school was behind him, he’d purchase the first ticket out of New York City he could get. It didn’t matter where, only that it would take him away from the only home he’s ever known. Familial bliss was non-existent in the Knowles household. Parker’s father was a white-collared bureaucrat and his mother was just as bored with their marriage as she was with life. Religious politics kept them from divorcing and a lack of attention and discipline begot one very rebellious, attention craving, alcohol consuming teenager. Parker’s rendezvous found him in fights with his younger sister’s prospects, doing unmentionables in hallway closets, and stumbling through a good half of his high school career in a drunken stupor. In spite of his parent’s less than perfect example of monogamous relations and a brief but unsuccessful go at his one and only semi-long lasting relationship in high school, Parker managed to graduate relatively unscathed, and gasp, with honors too. There’s also a very good chance Parker got drunk that night, as the after party was mostly a blur and he woke up with a really painful headache the next day. No one was more surprised when the acceptance package for NYU arrived at the Knowles residence than Parker, just as no one enjoys analyzing the ridiculous irony riding on the fact that he accepted. Once desperate to get out of New York, Parker couldn’t be more excited about starting his college career in the city that never sleeps. And his trusty flask will be right along with him for the ride.

Major: Marketing with a minor in Economics
Original Role Play: Players 3
Theme Song: “Autumn’s Monologue” by From Autumn to Ashes
Personality: Argumentative, Distrustful, Dour, Eschewing, Methodical, and Sardonic.
Brief Background Information: Shane would scoff if you managed to point out the parallels between his life and that annoying WB show set in the deep confines of the Colorado mountains. He’s from New York, so it only makes sense that he would return as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Oddly enough, he never pictured himself in this situation. Operating under a daily schedule that involves attending class at a relatively prestigious school. Rumor has it that his dad pulled a couple of strings, which is entirely probable, however, in spite of collective dismay, is not the case. No, Shane made it on his own. Surprising because of his seemingly disinterest in school, not to mention the people who inhabited it. Good test scores (or, more accurately, “shocking”) opened doors for him he never even knew existed, and put forth a dilemma that ended up making its own decision in the end. Like any good story, his is only valid because of a girl tiptoed her way quietly into his life. Siobhan Walsh should have been interested in anyone but Shane Manning, and, at first, turned every head but his. That soon changed when he discovered a genuine benevolence in her rare to the rest of the world. He fell for her, and arguably, changed a little as a result. He’s in New York alone, however, which would hint at some sort of fallout. Whether his girl left him for someone better, or they parted on equal terms vowing that “if it was meant to be, they’d find a way back to one another” is unknown. Shane doesn’t speak of it. Most people wouldn’t even know there was a girl named Siobhan Walsh.

Original Role Play: Student Takeover
Theme Song: --
Personality: Docile, Tranquil, Irresponsible, Unpredictable, Unreliable, Antagonist
Brief Background Information:Ashton has never been one to allow for anyone to know exactly what is going on inside his head. But he has always been one to let anyone know what is on his mind. He has spent the better half of his high school education walking around with the spikey green hair, wearing nothing but black and listening to the hardcore metal music, and making sure everyone in school knew to never approch him. He had a small group of friends, most of which he failed to keep in touch with after graduation. He could not care less, actually. Of course just like any other story there was a girl. He had fallen for his best friend, Stevie and he fell hard. But no matter how much he wanted to be with her, she could never accept him for who he was, and he could never accept her. She had a slight problem with drinking and other ways of harming herself, while Ashton had a issue involving drugs. She continued to try and change him, and get him off the drugs, while he tried to do the same. Eventually by the end of their senior year, Ashton came to the final conclusion that there is no way he will be able to be with someone so desprate to change him, and so self destructive at the same time. After he graduated from high school, with a little help from his father who happened to know several people in high places..Ashton got accepted to NYU, where he decided to major in chemistry. He has always been interested in chemistry...and someday plans on creating something of his own..

Age: Twenty

Major: Cinema Studies
Original Role Play: Players 5
Theme Song:
Personality: Whitdrawn, Reserved, Mellow, Docile, Private, Crestfallen
Brief Background Information: Kaden was born into a family of two parents who made it clear on a daily basis they hated each other. When time came for the divorce, and a restraining order was filed by his mother against his father to keep him away from Kaden, he was finally able to have some peace. Until he met up with his father later on and was actually convinced he was a better man and better person to live with. Kaden moved with his father to New York. Where he stayed all through high school. He spent the first three years of High School hiding in the shadows, listening to music, at night going home to watch movies. It wasn't until his senior year when he ran into Grace Starr, that everything seemed to change. It is rather cliche to say that he changed for a girl, but in some ways it is true. Even though the relationship started off rocky, they had the whole hate/hate thing going for a good few months, actually it was not until prom night that Kaden realized the depth of his feelings for her. When she came over to his house, after he refused to go to the prom..he discovered he did love her. They seemed to have been pretty much inseprable ever since then. Well, graduation came and went, and the summer following graduation as well. Kaden's father convinced him to do a bit of traveling with him, which he did but sadly it caused a rift in his relationship with Grace. Even though they did not offically break up, Kaden and Grace have not spoken in over a year, and he has just transfered to NYU. Scared of seeing her again.

Brief Background Information: Rhett is originally from St. Barbara. He grew up in a middle class home with his mother Anne, and his father Joseph. His father was a pilot, and her mother was a teacher. There is nothing new to hear about the history of his parents. Boy met girl, boy and girl got laid, girl got pregnant. After one night stand the almost strangers had to face the reality of Anne's pregnancy and were left with no option but get married. They didn't like it much at first. What were the odds of having a strong and happy marriage? Surprisingly enough, they did. Not immediately of course but eventually. They learned to care about each other and they gradually fell in love. Rhett was fortunate enough to lead a normal life. Until the age of fourteen, that is. Rhett's father died in a plane crash. It was painful and it changed Rhett in some ways. Someone paying enough attention would have noticed Rhett's change, how he started eluding getting too close to people. Beyond that, Rhett has always been a care free kind of guy. Some people would say that he hasn't matured yet, he is still oblivious to the word responsibility. Rhett never saw much of the world besides Sta. Barbara, until he got accepted in NYU. Making the move to New York was a tough choice but he wanted a change.

Name: Kyan Motley
Age: 21
Year: Junior
Major: Marketing
Original Role Play: The Breakfast Club
Theme Song: Evil - Interpol
Personality: Weak, Stubborn, Apprehensive, Dishonorable, Delusive, and Adamant.
Brief Background Information: Kyan Motley's senior year at Birmingham High School should have been the turning point in his thus far relatively easy life. After that should have been the downfall filled with hardships and tormenting decisions and humiliations. But, alas, it was not. That grueling Saturday detention Kyan was forced to attend for being found fooling around in the storage room with a male "friend". After that day and his friend Alistair's persistence, the most that Kyan would agree to was a secret relationship. No coming out. No telling anybody. Nothing to worry about. Being the star of the wrestling team, nobody really had any suspicions about Kyan. But this didn't appease Ali and after graduation Alistair ended it between them because Kyan was still a little boy, unwilling to grow up and face his problems head on. To this day, Kyan is still not open about his sexuality. His relationships are secretive, though at least now he hasn't even bothered with women. He's admitted to himself, and that's the only way he has changed, he still refuses to admit it to the rest of the world. NYU granted him an athletic scholarship, but ever since he has been attending NYU the more lax atmosphere as far as homophobia goes has made him slightly more comfortable with himself, so that he doesn't have to uphold that masculine stereotype any longer. After freshmen year he dropped out of all athletic courses, losing his scholarship, and instead switched his major to business and marketing.

Name: Carter Paxton
Age: 21
Year: Junior
Major: Marketing and Management
Original Role Play: Players 6
Personality: Outgoing, Confident, Cultured, Impulsive, Competitive, Unyielding.
Brief Background Information: Mara was the only daughter of Isabel and Kieran Stevens, an only child and inheritor to a vast fortune coming from different generations of Stevens. Since the beginning Mara was the pride of her parents and probably adored by everyone around her. You'll see, there was no trace of selfishness in Mara. She was a girl with a generous heart who used to put the interests of others before hers. Mara was eighteen years old when she met twenty five years old Luther Paxton who was at the time, as trite as it may sound, one of the most wanted bachelors in town. Quite a catch Mara's friends told her. Whatever events lead to the union of the couple were indeed of some significance to them but remain in obscurity nowadays, since they have not been discussed by anyone for a very long time. The fact of the matter was, they were young, they were pretty and they got married. Which lead to the conception of several pretty children. And so a baby boy was born, and he was named Carter. And so Carter grew up in wealthiness. He was six years old when the blue-eyed woman with the warm smile died. And then, that tall man, who was often seen in the company of the pretty woman, practically disappeared from Carter's life as he didn't see much of him for quite a while. Life goes on, however, and that's what happened with the Paxtons too. Carter was sent to boarding school until he turned thirteen. He was having a hell of a time in there when tall man Luther decided it was time for his son to come back home. There was an important reason behind that. Luther had gotten married. Carter's new stepmom, Laureen, entered the picture. Carter noticed the physical resemblance right away. Stepmommy dearest looked a lot like his death mother. But if didn't take him long to realize that all resemblance ended there. There was nothing similar beyond the looks. Anyhow, Carter was sent to Ball High, a public school in Texas, where he graduated two years ago. He then got into NYU, packed his things and moved to the city of lights. Carter's personality traits still continue to vary. He acts different in different circumstances. Sometimes he can be brash but other times he can be subtle and this charming guy that you would like to take home and introduce to your parents. He's misunderstood in some ways and he fails to realize that he could be doing more good than harm if he only learn to behave better. But how could he know this? Carter is completely unapologetic. He'll go off in the summer and crash Daddy's yacht into a buoy, and his dad will fly him away in a helicopter so he won't have to deal with any of the consequences. Some things do not change.

Name: Cedric Pembrooke
Age: Twenty
Year: Freshmen
Major: Accounting, Taxation and Business Law
Original Role Play: Players Five
Theme Song: Woman - Maroon 5
Personality: Charming, Sincere, Shrewd, Fluctuant, Obstinate, and Grudging.
Brief Background Information: As the son of a wealthy British horse breeder and a famous actress, Cedric fell short of learning the value of a dollar. He was given everything, which left him free to pursue any endeavor, any whim, that he chose. Cedric grew to be a person who never fully attached to anything, save for horse racing, and that developing trait showed in several aspects of his life, specifically in his romantic pursuits. As a rash, uncouth young man, at least by the elite of Britain's standards, Cedric exploited his good looks and charm, but his parents hardly approved of their son's well publicized antics. Cedric's accident during a race happened to be the catalyst, and Malcolm Pembrooke wasted no time in moving to the States with his son and wife, Moira. Malcolm frequently travelled and couldn't provide the strict guidance a teenager like Cedric required. He continued to charm the ladies, finding that American women easily feel for British lingo and charisma. The relocation hardly dampered his efforts; rather, it encouraged him. Cedric's senior year in high school was supposed to be his best year yet. He planned on screwing as many women as possible, but before the school year had even started, he met Laken Knowles. She was, and still is, his first and maybe only love. Cedric still can't accurately explain what was different about her. Cedric and Laken were rarely the happy couple, encountering more trouble than any couple should, but they refused to officially end it. They survived several, unfortunate events, some trivial, some not. Cedric's life changed yet again with the arrival of his half-brother, Levi. Although a welcome, trusted companion at first, Levi is not entirely back in Cedric's good graces, not even close. Cedric left to take care of his dying father in England, entrusting Levi with the responsibility of looking after Laken. He did more than look after her; he fell in love with her, and she with him. Cedric returned after a few months, now owner of his father's company, but that accolade seemed to be forgotten as Cedric tried to win back the woman he loved. Laken ended up choosing him, but that wasn't enough to breach the gap between Cedric and his brother. Much to Cedric's relief, his brother went to England, and Cedric and Laken spent the summer together and have an apartment on campus. Cedric is only learning more to benefit his company, primarily focused on Laken, and although he won't admit it, Levi's return.

Personality: Nonchalant, Political, Clever, Suave, Charming, and Romantic.
Brief Background Information: Levi Davidson-Pembrooke was the bastard son of the Pembrookes, the result of Moira Pembrooke (maiden name being Moira Davidson) and her short-lived fling with a man named Hal Astin before the Pembrookes moved to America. Levi grew up with his grandmother, a wretched hag who hated him because he wasn't a real Pembrooke. As soon as she died, shortly after he graduated from finishing school, he flew to America to meet his real family and his brother. At first Levi had a rather pathetic infatuation with Jayden O'Connor, though this obsession eventually faded when his brother left for London after his father died and Levi was left to take care of his girlfriend, Laken Knowles. At the Valentine's Day dance Levi became entangled in a immoral affair with his brother's girlfriend, Laken Knowles, which was revealed at their high school prom when Cedric returned from his trip. After that, Laken went with his brother. Refusing to show any remorse Levi moved back to the UK to study at Oxford, but he didn't go alone. He was accompanied by his new friend Chastity Kane, who signed up for a foreign exchange program for her senior year in high school. The two shared a flat and in the course of a year became the closest of friends. She was Levi's first genuinely real friend, in fact. When she was homesick, he didn't want to leave her, and Levi took a break from his aspiration of becoming the next prime minister and went back to New York to study at NYU with Chastity, and with the hopes of rebuilding his rocky relationship with his older brother.

Original Role Play: Players 5: New York City
Personality: Remiss, Poised, Alluring, Bright, Mannerly, True
Brief Background Information: Bill and Roseanna Robertson married at a young age, with pennies to their name. Then, the unexpected happened and they inherited a large sum of money from a deceased relative. Bill turned the money into millions on Wall Street, in just a few years. The Robertson's have lived in the Hamptons for decades, and own their apartment in the city, too. Elgin has one brother, Charles, who his parents worship. Elgin's birth was completely unplanned, and his parent's already had their 'perfect' son with Charles. He wasn't of much use to the family name, and this reflected in the treatment he was shown. He has probably never quite gotten over this, either. As a teenager, Elgin went through the predictable rebel stage, and was continuously kicked out of boarding schools, until his parents had to place him in New York Public High School, starting his freshman year. He didn't make much of his repeated second chances, and ended up having to repeat his senior year due to a lack of credits. Yet, one could argue all of this was fate playing its little games. Because it was Elgin's senior year in which the most important thing in his life happened. He became best friends with a girl named Sidalie Bradford, in light of a painful incident involving a journal. Over a span of the year and after several dramatic mishaps, the two found they were quite attracted to each other and in the end rather perfect together. Yes, our boy Elgin was in love, and much to his surprise, Sid loved him back. He graduated from high school, finally, and his girlfriend went to Italy for three months. He didn't wake up until he himself caught on fire. He got up and found his whole room was on fire. He panicked and went to save his sisters. Year: Junior
Major: Computer Science
Original Role Play: Players 2: Charleston
Personality: Forthright, stubborn, complacent, persuasive, impatient and enigmatic.
Brief Background Information: Every aspect of Adrian's childhood was the extreme opposite of ideal; the type of story that elicits pity almost instantly. Born in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Adrian was never even given the opportunity to lead a somewhat decent life. He was put up for adoption at birth; with two negligent parents who couldn't handle the responsibility of a child. Perhaps it wouldn't have been too terrible if he had been adopted by a nice loving family, but that notion was far from reality. Over a span of roughly seventeen years he went from family to family, making numerous visits to foster homes all over the West coast. No family did the trick, and subsequently neither did he. How the Meyers found him still baffled him to this day, but it was nothing short of a miracle. At the age of eighteen he and his new family relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, a city he would gladly call home. That year would always be memorable to him. He fell in love for the first time; got his heart broken for the first time and became one of the State's most highly talked about basketball players. By the end of the year he had received basketball scholarships to a least five different Universities, and without much deliberation he chose New York University. During his first year he met his fiancée, Sarah, a Fine Arts major. Now in his third year at NYU, Adrian is still engaged to Sarah, yet she is taking a semester off to explore Europe's finer architecture. The two agreed not to set a date for their wedding until they both had finished school.

Name: Asher Walberg
Age: Twenty-Two
Year: Junior
Major: Philosophy
Original Role Play: Student Takeover
Theme Song: “Failure By Design” by Brand New
Personality: Casual, Fractious, Hostile, Persistent, Sardonic, and Tactless.
Brief Background Information: Asher’s home life is so dreadfully boring and normal that it hardly merits mentioning. The Walbergs are the American Dream prototype complete with the two loving parents (it’s quite disgusting actually), the 2.5 kids (Asher’s the oldest, and while he no longer lives at him, he still bleeds his parents dry of whatever money he can get, thus his .5 status), and in the very beginning? There was even a picket fence before Asher accidentally backed his car into it. See, three sentences right there. Wasted. But hey, that seems to be a reoccurring theme in Asher’s life. High school yielded to very little noteworthy events. Far from the hell some exaggerate high school to be, but even farther from the heaven only a few are lucky enough to get away with calling, Asher remembers very little of his four years in high school. High school was just a place to go for six hours out of the day, and a lot of it was one big proverbial blur. It doesn’t help that he skipped class more often than he attended during his first two years and was either drunk or high during his last two years. It’s now roughly four years since Asher had to put on one of those ugly maroon gowns and received his diploma, and Asher’s really not all that much different. He took a year off from school to work and save up some money for when he finally made the transition to New York. Amidst a year of lounging around and doing as little as possible, he kept tabs on a certain singing girl back in high school, until he lost touch with her right around the time he started back up with school. And although he thinks of her very little these days, her LP is probably buried somewhere under the backseat of his ‘88 Volvo.

Name: Stoker Williams
Age: 22
Year: Junior
Major: Animation
Original Role Play: The Breakfast Club
Theme Song: I Don't Wanna Be - Gavin De Graw
Personality: comical, quirky, quiet, persnickity, aloof, understanding, clean
Brief Background Information: Stoker is a mama's boy. Plain and simple. It's always been him and his mother in life except for the first two years of his life. From the time he born to the time he was two, his parents, Ava and Issac, always tried to be civil with each other for his sake but after a while, they just couldn't take it anymore. They got divorced and Stoker went with Ava. His mother was an interior designer and he picked up a nack for it over the years. He became a perfectionist over the years and he became quite the hair dresser. He would always do the woman's hair of the place's his mom redecorated. He had always had a thing for hair and he had natual talet at doing things with it. When it was time for him to go to college, he wanted to go cosmotology school but do you know that all schools are sexist and won't let a guy enter into their program? It's crazy. Alas, he went to college but not with the exact major he wanted. He finally got away from his mother and he even though it's hard to be with out her, he likes the freedom. Plus, New York City is so capivating it's letting him focus on himself for once instead of everyone else.

Name:Jethro *Jet* Young
Age:Twenty
Year:Junior
Major: Art and Art Professions
Original Role Play: Road Trip
Theme Song:
Personality: malignant, menacing, mortal, nasty, impulsive, reckless
Brief Background Information:Jet was not one to have a whole bunch of people always around him, but in high school he did have a small group of friends. Among that group of friends there...like there always is..was a girl. Her name? Amanda. Jet was pretty much as close to being in love with her without possibly saying the words. She was his best friend and she was all he wanted. But she wasn't into him like that, instead she was into another friend of theirs and when Jet tried to open up and tell her how he felt..he was always too late. This caused Jet to pretty much give up on all kinds of people. He had no intention of going on to college but, naturally his parents forced him to go to NYU and even though he hates it here..he will just do what he can do.

Original Role Play: N/A.
Theme Song: "Boy Like You"// The Donnas.
Personality: Charming. Suave. Bright. Cultured. Methodical. Sincere
Brief Background Information: Taylor’s life has always been complicated as a child. He never understood why as a child he would play with barbies and girls rather than monster trucks and in middle school he realised he was a homosexual. He went through denial for a very long time, until he met his first love that was four years his senior and Jake taught him everything he knows today. The love ended when his father found out and forbid him from seeing Jake. Taylor was an overachiever and he wanted to please his father that is why he broke up with Jake and went through his teenage years of dating girls and trying to forget his feelings for men. After he graduated high school he went to NYU and his feelings towards males began to flourish when he realised it was more accepted in NYC than in his small hometown. Now he is a professor of advertising and realises that he gets more attention from the female students than the males and he can’t help but laugh, he just got out of a three year relationship with a student that was still in the closet to the world and now he is hesitate with having future relationships with younger men.

Wheee! Time to haunt you all with the Pembrooke storyline.

Cedric Pembrooke (Orlando Bloom) - Players 5
Chastity Kane (Amelia Vega) - Players 5

That's all the old characters, but I'm thinking about adding two more new ones.

Name: Stevie Dennings
Age: 20
Year: Junior
Major: Journalism
Original Role Play: Student Takeover
Theme Song: Responsibility - MxPx
Personality: blunt, tempermental, unpredictable, tough, sardonic, irresponsible
Brief Background Information: She grew up with in a good structured home. She was the perfect daughter for her parents. She went to highschool, fit in with the preps and got good grades. After her 9th grade year however, things started to fall apart for her. Her father died and her mother remarried 6 months after his death. She started to rebel against her mother for replacing her father so fast and bringing another kid into the family (her step brother Desmond). Around that time, she met Ashton Marta and she fell in love. Or atleast she thought she was in love. She became best friends with him because he liked her rebelious ways. She took his liking too far and turned punk like he was. She fell hard for Ashton and her crush hasn't stopped to this day. She barely made the grades to gradute because she began drinking and cutting herself to try and rid herself of the problems she wouldn't tell anyone about. She did graduate though, by the skin of her teeth. At first, she didn't want to go to college, but her step-brother kept urging her to go. And urging her. And urging her. And she just finally went to college so he would stop bugging her. Surprisingly enough, she actually likes college. She hasn't dropped out yet. She still drinks occationally but she's managed to stop cutting herself.

She continued to see the principle because, after all, Bailey is his son too. After graduation, she and Baily headed to New York City. She had managed to get into NYU's spectacular music program. She likes how her life is going right now. She and Bailey live in an apartment with Danny right outside of the university and they couldn't be happier.

Name: Phillip *Phil* Shaffer
Age: 18
Year: Freshmen
Major: Economics
Original Role Play: The Institution
Theme Song: ---
Personality: mature, witty, trustworthy, caloused, clever, romantic
Brief Background Information: He has lived the ultimate american life. He's also the ultimate american boy. He comes from a caring family and he's a sweet natured guy. He would always set a good example for those around him. Especially his two younger sisters, Britney and Vanessa. He doesn't ever want to do anything bad infront of them because they look up to him. Lately though, Phillip has gotten into the habit of smoking. He knows it's not a good thing to do but he's addicted and he can't help it. He was up to smoking 3 packs of ciggies a day. It got pretty bad. He always had them before he went to bed and the one night, he fell asleep with one in his hand. That wasn't a good idea. Because his clothes caught on fire. He didn't wake up until he himself caught on fire. He got up and found his whole room was on fire. He panicked and went to save his sisters. He got burned more in the process and only managed to save one sister, Britney. He had third degree burns all over his arms and legs but he manged to get Britney out. He feels quilty for killing Vanessa. His parents got home to see their home completely burnt to the ground. They send him to the Institution to treat his burns and they went with him, moving to Boston to get as far away from Alaska as possible. Phil spent one year at the insitution and with the wonderful medical stuff there, he was able to get skin graphing done on majority of his burns, clearing most of them up. He still has bad scars from the burns still healing but he has learned to deal with them. After he left the insitution, he knew he had to turn his life around and make it something worth living. He applied to NYC and was stoked when he got in. He knew this was his change to start life over and try to forget that the fire ever happened.

Name: Joseph Kennedy
Age: 19
Year: Freshman

Oooh can I have two spots? I'm not sure who I'm using yet besides Titania Monroe (PB Julia Stiles). I'll probably add three more on there.
