| ![]() Derek smiled as the two ladies formally introduced themselves. 'So, I'm assuming you two came separately?' Jade asked. Tearing his eyes away from Emma, he raised his eyebrow at the blonde cardiologist. "Don't be ridiculous. We came together, we just somehow got separated for a bit.” He said, laughing slightly as he glanced from Emma back to Jade. "Steve's taken awhile. Guess he got lost.” Derek mused. From his own experiences of working with him he was well aware the dark haired radiologist wasn’t by any means the brightest crayon in the box. In fact it amazed him that he managed to score a date with Jade. Derek couldn’t get a date with her so how the hell could Steve? Not that he had really tried, he has to much fun bantering with her to ruin that by dating her. Besides, a woman like Emma was better suited for him. She’s compassionate and kind-hearted. She adores children, that’s something Derek loves about her since he has a rambunctious little five-year old of his own. Madison was the light of life in everyway and being with someone who loves children and being around them was important to him. Not that he was ready for Emma to meet Madison yet or anything. This was only their first date. But he could see it happening if things continue going well. He likes Emma, in all honesty she kind of reminds him of his late wife, Madison’s mother Claire. She didn’t look anything like her there was just something about her that made him think of her, he couldn’t quite put his finger on what that something was yet. Grabbing a glass of wine as a waitress passed by Derek looked around the room briefly. It was quite the turn out. He didn’t know Molly Lansing personally but he had to applaud her on a job well done. The normally dreary dark mansion looked brilliant tonight and everyone invited appeared to be enjoying themselves. Still he wanted to know more about this Hal Cassadine guy. All he knew was what he heard and what he heard wasn’t good things. He wanted to know just who her sister was getting herself involved in because if he really is as dangerous as Derek thinks he is then he wants Serena as far away from him as possible. Taking a drink of his wine he looked to Jade and Emma once more. “This is kind of a random..but do either of you know anything about the guy who owns this…fortress.” Derek asked with a small laugh, the place really was more like a fortress than anything else. “Hal Cassadine, I think is his name.” OOC:Sorry he took so long Cat and Courtney, was busy moving into an apartment this last weekend and now I've got a cold I can't seem to get rid off! ![]() __________________ Jason♥Carly Noah♥Rachel Nate♥Jenny Carter♥Serena Clark♥Chloe My guilty pleasure I ain't going nowhere. | OOC:Libs, just tell me when you want to do Jamie/Reese stuff ![]() ![]() Gavin couldn't help but smile when Logan spoke from his heart. He was proud of Gavin for getting the help he needed and he really respected him for making that decision. It really meant something to Gavin."Thanks...I mean it.That means alot from me coming from you,"he replied, not trying to get too corny but also making sure his best friend knew that his words meant something big to Gavin. It hadn't been easy admitting his had a problem and going off to the center.Admitting he had a problem meant forever living with the knowledge that he was bipolar. And sometimes it was easier to live in the dark with these things. It was funny...for the first time in his life,he understood his father so well.He understood why his father hadn't wanted to be diagnosed for so long. Sometimes it was easier to just hide from the truth. But at the end of the day,Gavin was not his father and that's why he admitted the truth and sought help.He had watched his father deal with this illness and he knew he wanted to deal with it differently. He had people he cared about and he didn't want to hurt them so admitting he had a problem was the first step to that. And getting help was the second step.Logan also brought up Drake and how nothing he said before applied now.Gavin was still Drake's godfather and that's how Tasha had wanted...that's how Logan wanted it too.Gavin grinned. "Thanks.I mean...you do know that boy is going to have to get his ideas of cool and uncool from someone, right?"he joked slightly with a small laugh,"And you know everything that happened before...I just want to put it all behind.I want to start over, you know?" Logan nodded ans they hugged again, both laughing as they parted.Gavin was really happy that Logan supported him.He knew Audrey had just been upset about how he was unsure about things but he still didn't think she understood how his life had to change. And he didn't know how to make her understand. It would be easier if he didn't love her.But he did.And so he was stuck in this place where he wanted to protect her and couldn't make her understand his illness but at the same time,he couldn't let her go."So how have things been going...I mean raising Drake and everything? Are you pulling your hair out? I need to see you changing diapers. That's the only image that got me through the center,"Gavin replied with a joking smirk. Leigha laughed slightly as Natalie mentioned the nursing program at PCU and whether Leigha would ever consider becoming a nurse like her mother."Ah...yeah,my mom would really like that.It would probably make her year,"Leigha joked with a small smile. She had always been pretty intimidated by Natalie but Natalie was just really nice and it meant alot to Leigha that she was giving her a chance, even if Leigha wasn't Tasha.Actually,Leigha was really grateful that she and Tasha had gotten stuck in that elevator during the fire at the Metrocourt. It changed her life forever. If that hadn't happened, she might have never bonded with Tasha. She might feel guilty about taking Tasha's place now that she was gone and like Tasha wouldn't have wanted it. But getting to know Tasha in that short time between the fire and her death meant everything. And it made her see Tasha for who she really was.And it made Leigha feel at peace with raising Drake...that she could remind him everyday who his mother was and at the same time, love him just like he was her own.Her mother once told her that the important things in life happened by chance. You couldn't predict them or make them happen. And for Leigha, that rung true. She met and fell in love with Logan by chance. And the same went with Drake. She never asked to be like a mother figure to this little baby...she never expected or honestly dreamed of that but she loved Drake and she was glad it had happened. "PCU is...well...PCU.I always thought I'd get out of here but I guess when I was away,I realized that's not what I really wanted.I mean my family is here...and Logan and Drake. And I'm actually...majoring in English.I want to be writer...and you know, make next to nothing,"Leigha replied with a small smile.Leigha had always wanted to be a writer but now more than ever.It had been over a year since the rape and Leigha was over it in many ways but whatever she wasn't over, she got to express through writing. And it helped her."But I guess who knows. My mom wanted to be an artist when she was my age so who knows? Maybe you'll see me at the hospital, assisting in surgeries and writing on charts someday,"she added with a laugh.Leigha never understood why her mother gave up her dream of becoming an artist. Her mother never had an answer for her.But Elizabeth was one of the most respected members of the General Hospital staff and her mother loved her job so Leigha never really questioned it. | |||

| OOC: Stopping in to say that I love reading Natalie & Leigha! Also, I am eager and ready to do some Jamie/Reese but I won't be free to post really until after the weekend. I have an essay to do and I am supervising an easter egg hunt at my church. I just can't wait to pull tons of screaming kids off of one another. A joyous occasion indeed! ![]() __________________ House & Stacy ♥ Leaving someone when you love someone is the hardest thing to do. When you love someone as much as I love you | |||

| OOC: Aww thanks Libby! I'm loving them as well! Posts should be coming here either tonight or over the weekend. I'm making Morgan open so if anyone wants any interaction you know what to do. Sarah, maybe we could do some Morgan and Molly if your up for it? Also I'm really anxious to get this skip moving so when Ryan's open if you could have him tag Kate that'd be great or I'll have her tag him when she's open here (should be soon) if that's cool with you. ![]() __________________ Jason♥Carly Noah♥Rachel Nate♥Jenny Carter♥Serena Clark♥Chloe My guilty pleasure I ain't going nowhere. | Name: Judy McGrall Age: 38 Bio: Judy grew up in a well off home. Her father was a contractor and her mother was an accountant. She has two older brothers both of which were to much into sports to ever notice her. At a young age, Judy's intelligence shone through. While the neighborhood girls were playing jumprope and barbies, Judy could be found locked in her room with a book in her hands. When she entered high school she was made fun of because she was an apparent 'geek'. At the end of her sophomore year, Judy had went to stay with her grandparents. And not only did she come back a better looking girl but also more coniving. She was now considered one of the gorgeous girls and was no longer made fun of for her love of knowledge. Judy used her new power to manipulate people into giving her whatever she wanted. When she graduated high school, Jusy went off to Harvard law. She figured that her manopulation skills put with her intelligence would make her an excellent lawyer. She was right. Judy has won every case that's she's ever been on. Her love life is non-exsistent. While she has slept with some of her clients, she hasn't ever been in a serious relationship. She's a firm believer that a woman doesn't need a man to make her happy in life. All Judy need's is her work. And she is determined to win this case. She has been working for the Valmont family for a couple years now. When Mr. Valmont died, Judy stood in Pittsburg, Philadelphia. Now she's moving to Port Charles to be Kate's legal representation. PB: Eva Longoria ![]() Name: Kimber Lynn Martes Age: 20 Bio Kimber was born and raised in the small town of Huntsville, Alabama. She was the youngest of seven children. Four brothers and two sisters. Her father was a dentist and her mother a dental assistant. For the most part, Kimber led a normal life with nothing to complain about. As a young girl, she had found herself interested in fashion. When her sisters would be gossiping in the room, Kimber was right there on the bed next to them flipping through one of their various glossy magazines and pointing out outfits she liked. By the time she was in fourth grade, Kimber found herself mixing and matching outfits until she came up with something cute. In high school, Kimber was one of the pretty popular girls. She was captain of the cheerleading team and dated the Quarterback of the football team. While she loves her town, Kimber needed to get away when she graduated and try out something she loved. She's hoping an internship at Blush will help her with a jumpstart in her career. PB: Kenzie Dalton ![]() Hey everyone! I'm Brooke and I've been chatting with Ash about joining. As you can see I already have two chracters posted. One is Judy McGrall the lawyer to Kate. And another is Kimber Martes a new character who just moved to Port Charles. Ash and I were talking over SL's and for Kimber we were thinking that possibly she could be an intern at Blush and maybe get into a riff or something with someone else. Anyways, everyone can feel free to PM if they have any ideas or suggestions for me. I am very excited to be working with you guys. __________________ My guilty obsession Cam Gigandet. <3 Last edited by TeamLaFox : 04-03-2009 at 05:02 PM. | |||

We came together, we just somehow got separated for a bit.” Jade sort of had a hard time believing that, but at the same time, she may as well for their sake. She smirked at him. Often, Jade had thought about dating Derek, but then he would do or say something that would get her completely offside. Plus, what they had was fun and she couldn't imagine that ending anytime soon. "Okay, well at least you've found eachother now," she replied. "I guess." she added with a nod. "Steve's taken awhile. Guess he got lost.” She noticed that too, but that didn't mean that he didn't come with her. He did and she would prove it if she could, but he was god knows where right now. She took her eyes off Derek and Emma for a split second to scan the room. She couldn't find him anywhere. That was sort of strange. But, then again, she had no idea why she even agreed to go to the ball with Steve anyway. Sure, he's cute and all, but Jade isn't shallow so that wasn't the only reason. He was intelligent in his own way, but not outstanding. "Oh, you know, he's probably mingling," she replied. "Like people do at these sort of things." Like what Jade was doing at this sort of thing. She felt like a third wheel between Emma and Derek and all she wanted to do was find Steve and get out of there, but they were invited so she couldn't just walk out and leave. Could she? Jade then thought of her cousin Kimber. Of course, Kimber had encouraged her to go with Steve in the first place but Jade was adamant to go alone. Ah well, she was kind of alone now, so it really is a win-win. "He'll come here soon enough," she said. "He wouldn't leave without me or without saying goodbye so..." He then asked if they had heard anything on Hal Cassadine, the guy who apparently owns the mansion that the ball was in. "I've heard of him around town," she replied with a shrug. "I can't really give you anything though. Sorry. Why do you want to know anyway?" she asked concerned. __________________ TL•KS•RP ღ

| Name: Thomas *Tommy* DeMarco Age: 26 Bio Tommy was not always evil. He was born to a well off family in Brooklyn, New York. Two sisters and a brother. His parents worked jobs that kept food on the table. His father a butcher at a nearby shop and his mother a seamstress. Tommy was like anyother little boy in Brooklyn. He played stickball on the street and basketball at run down courts. His life didn't start going down hill until he reached his junior year of high school. His mother, whom he had always been closest to, suddenly died of ovarian cancer and Tommy didn't know what to do with himself. He started picking fights with kids in school and doing drugs. His father kicked him out shortly before his graduation. When he did finally graduate, he left Brooklyn and started around the county. Doing small jobs and tasks for people to make ends meet. That all changed when he reached Port Charles and met Tiago. Tiago needed some guys for a scheme he was pulling and was willing to ppay them. Tommy desperately needed the money so he agreed quickly. PB: Jesse Metcalfe ![]() Here's my villian. I'm thinking about not exactly killing him off for awhile so if anyone maybe has some ideas for him I'd be delighted to hear. ![]() Kimber looked around the grand ball in mild awe. It was her second week in Port Charles and the only reason she was invited to this ball was because she worked for the lady throwing it. She took a sip of what she would assume was expensive champagne and looked around at all the people mingling and having a good time. She felt out of her element. She knew she had to come, though. One so she could make a good impression on her boss and another because this was a party not to be missed. She took another sip of her champange and then finally got tired of it. Adjusting the straps to her floor length navy knock-off designer dress she looked around for anyone that she could possibly talk with. She spotted her cousin not to far away chatting with some people she had never met. Kimber loved her cousin Jade. She had taken Kimber in when she first got here and treated her with nothing but kindness. It was still taking Kimber some getting used to but of course she hadn't seen her cousin in years. Port Charles was so different from her small hometown and Kimber just needed some adjusting and maybe some friends. Yeah, friends is what she needed. So without hesitation Kimber picked up her glass of champagne and walked around to find someone to chat with. Tag: Open ![]() Judy peered over the bald head of the man she was currently talking to's head. She had stopped listening to what he was talking about five minutes ago and forgot his name much longer than that. The man didn't seem to notice however since he was to busy staring at Judy's breast in her short red fitted Donna Karen dress. She rolled her eyes and peered over his head once again. She was looking for Kate. She wanted to make sure the women was not causing any trouble. Of course she was probably wrong about that. Judy was the family lawyer and friend of Kate's father. Kate had always sort of despised Judy so this prevented the two from having any sort of friendly relationship. After Kate's dad had died, Judy decided to stay in Pittsburg because she had some good things going for her there and she hadn't taken a glance backward when Kate left for Port Charles. But now here she was in Port Charles at some extravegant ball she could care less about to keep an eye on the girl who probably hatedher more than some of the people she was able to put in jail. Judy knew though that she had to keep her promise to Mr. Valdmont and make sure Kate didn't get herself into an extensive amount of trouble. When she didn't spot the familar women she went back to the bald's man droning. Hoping that maybe someone could save her from this. | ![]() While it may have sounded absolutely ridiculous (after all, Derek was her date), Emma couldn’t help but feel like a third wheel of her own between Jade and Derek. It was quite apparent to anyone with eyes and ears that the two had some of sexual-tension filled banter going on. Hell, her parents had written the book on that kind of flirtation and they still did it to this day. Although it did nauseate her on most occasions when it was going on between Patrick and Robin, that didn’t mean she was completely put-off by Derek and Jade’s version of the song and dance. As far as she could tell, they were both nice people. If they wanted to, she would have no problem excusing herself to go mingle so the duo could have some ‘alone time’. Instead of interrupting their conversation, Emma stood idly at Derek’s side, sipping her drink every so often to keep herself entertained. Her long, slender fingers tapped against the crystal glass and she’d send the duo a smile every so often just so they wouldn’t think she was completely ignoring him. When Jade mentioned that she hadn’t seen her date in quite some time, the brunette pediatrician offered out a small, sympathetic and a shrug of her shoulders. “You know how men can be. They get distracted for fifteen seconds and it turns into a two-hour ordeal while they try to get themselves back on track,” She mused out in hopes of making the blonde feel better about her date being seemingly ‘missing in action’. The subject soon changed from Jade’s date-- or lack thereof-- to Hal Cassadine. “My mom is old friends with his father, but aside from that…” Emma trailed off with a somewhat careless shrug. “I don’t know much else.” The brunette finished off the last of her drink, then cleared her throat and placed the glass onto a nearby waiter holding a tray. Before she could ask why he wanted to know, Jane inquired the same, so Emma stayed silent and waited patiently for Derek’s response to the question. __________________ i honestly believed that i'd be {casey cartwright chambers} one day... and now i haven't even spoken to him in over six months. | |||

| OOC: I come with posts! More coming later. Sorry I suck at posting lately! Family stuff came up that I think all of you know about. Hey Brooke! I'm Shiri and I play Kate's brother and sister, who I'm sure Judy would also be representing. I also play Tiago, who your new guy works for. IM me at X rent free x next time you're on and we'll plot! ![]() Right away she felt bad for asking about his parents with how Ryan reacted. They had never really talked about his parents and now she knew why. She frowned when he began talking about his parents and she reached up to run her fingers through his hair in a comforting way as she listened to him. She couldn't imagine if one of her parents were dead. She didn't depend on them anymore now that she was on her own but she still couuldn't imagine her life without her mom and dad. She frowned even more when he implied that his dad was a bad man. "I'm sorry I asked" She told him as she looked down herself. If she had known that he was going to answer like that and that it would make him all sad, she would never brought it up. She would have to remember that for next time she was curious about his parents. He changed the subject and she smiled as she took a drink from him. "To our future" She smiled, clinking her glass with his. As she took a sip of it, she saw him looking elsewhere and she raised an eyebrow. "Who are you looking for?" She wondered, her eyes looking around for a momemt before she looked back to him with a curious look. ![]() 'I'm glad you're not throwing a going away party, but you can take care of yourself Morgan'. "Doesn't mean I don't still need you in my life, Corinthos. We're a team rememeber? We work better together than alone" She pointed out to him knowing that couldn't argue with her. They've been a team ever since they were kids and even as adults, that hasn't changed at all. They still needed each other, even if neither one of them would admit it because they were too stubborn. 'He's under an alias, I'm sure of it'. "Probably. I know I'd do that if I wanted to hide" She commented with a nod of her head. She never had a reason to hide before but being the daughter of a con artist, she knew a thing or two about going into hiding. It had happened a few times when she was a child, actually, and she had to go into hiding with her mother becaus of some mob threat. The life of a daughter of the mob was sure a dangerous one but it was also one that the twenty-four year old had gotten well adjusted to over the years. It was a life she embrased and couldn't imagine not having. It suited her and that was all there was to it. 'And he's not working alone. I'll find him and when I do'. "Just don't get caught beause let me tell you, jail is not a fun place to be" She informed him with a shake of her head, speaking from experience. Those few months she spent in lock up while she was awaiting Kristina to get rid of the charages she was arrested for were the longest months in her life. Tine went by so slowly when she was there. She thought she would never get out. 'You look lovely by the way'. "I try" She shrugged a little bit, speaking in a modest way. Paige Morgan was not the type of girl to go on and on about how good she looked when someone complimented her. She just took the compliment and moved on. While it appeared like she just brushed them off, that wasn't the case. She took them to heart, she just didn't show it. 'Using your charms to cheat at poker I presume'. "I'm so beyond that now" 'Tommy hasn't gotten jealous yet, has he?'. Her head cocked to the side at that comment, a look of confusion on her face. "Jealous of what? Nothing has really changed from what it was before when I became boss" She replied with a shrug as she looked towards where she left Tommy. "Speaking of Tommy, I should probably get back to him before he thinks I was kidnapped or something" She spoke up with a sigh. Moving some hair out of her face, she reached up and gave Michael a hug again. "Don't be a stranger again. Come see me before you leave town" She whispered, her lips brushing against his cheek as she pulled away from the kiss. She gave him one last look then she turned around and walked away. As she went back to her boyfriend, she came up with a good story in her head why she had taken so long. She didn't want to tell him the truth because she suspected that Micahel wanted to stay hidden and she didn't want to ruin that by blabbing to her boyfriend about what she was really dong. __________________ Boy I hear you in my dreams I feel your whisper across the sea I keep you with me in my heart You make it easier when life gets hard I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend Last edited by Shiri S : 04-04-2009 at 10:59 PM. | |||

| Logan laughed as Gavin told him someone, meaning he Gavin, would have to teach his son what was cool and not cool. "Oh brother. Should I be worried?" He joked, shaking his head. "As long as you don't tell him about a few things we did back in the day you can teach him anything you want." Logan laughed. They use to party pretty hard before there ever was a Leigha or a Audrey in their lives. There was Tasha and Bianca..and lots and lots of other girls..There was drinking and drugs..Yeah you could say they had their fair share of wild nights. But they’ve grown a lot since then and Logan had no desire what so ever to go back to how he use to be. They’ve come a long way from who they once were. Neither of them were the same guy they were in high school. Logan nodded as Gavin talked about wanting to start over and put everything that happened before behind him. They hugged again, both laughing as they pulled back. This was good. When Gavin left town Logan promised himself he was going to do whatever needed to be done to make things right between them as soon as he came back. He‘s already lost Tasha and maybe even Michael if he really doesn‘t come back. He can‘t lose Gavin or anybody else he loved. Luckily for him their reunion couldn’t have gone any smoother. His friend was home now and Logan truly believed everything was going to be okay. It was guilt over what happened to Tasha and what could have happened to Gavin that led him to his crazy and reckless behavior, but getting shot was a wake up call to him. It was exactly what he needed to snap him out of it and make him realize what he has. A girl who loves him and would do anything for him, a son that was by far the best gift that’s ever been given to him and a best friend that he could always count on. Not to mention two amazing strong and fiercely loyal woman who will fight for him against anyone, in Paige and Natalie. He never wanted to take his life for granted again.Every one of those people are important to him and he wants to be around them and he wants to be around to see his son grow up and to hopefully someday marry the one and only girl that has a permanent lock on his heart. 'So how have things been going...I mean raising Drake and everything? Are you pulling your hair out? I need to see you changing diapers. That's the only image that got me through the center.' Gavin asked and Logan laughed. "It's not pretty man, take my word for it..I mean the first time I tried I ran out of the room and Leigha had to finish." He admitted, shaking his head as he laughed. "You know as Godfather one of your duties is to baby-sit him so..You'll find out for yourself soon enough." Logan joked, nudging his buddy in the shoulder. "Seriously though Drake, uh, well he's amazing." He smiled, gushing with pride. "Tasha and I had our fair share of problems..Nobody knew how to make me more mad or frustrated than she did but um..Tasha gave me the best gift I've ever been given and I'll never ever forgot that." He nodded, clearing his throat a little before going on. "I just wish she could have met him." And he wished she could be here now and watch him grow up. Sighing, Logan ran his hand along his jaw line and looked to Gavin. "What about you man? You've probably been back for a couple days now. Have you talked to Audrey yet?" OOC: Natalie and Derek to be edited in tonight or posted tomorrow! And welcome Brooke!! for the profiles they look awesome!![]() Natalie smiled as Leigha told her joining the nursing program would probably make her mothers year. Elizabeth probably loved the idea mostly because it would mean she'd get to spend a lot more time with her daughter which was never a bad thing. As a mother herself she can understand. When she looks at Caroline sometimes she just wishes she could keep her young so she could stay her little girl forever, though it's very far off from today she doesn't know what she's going to do with herself when the time comes for Caroline to leave the nest and spread her wings and fly. Taking a drink of wine, Natalie nodded softly as she listened to Leigha talk about life at PCU and how she realized Port Charles was where she wants to be. "It's home." Natalie smiled with understanding. Though with Michael gone it didn't really feel like home for Natalie anymore..He was what made this place home to her so how could Port Charles feel like home without him there with her? She listened as Leigha went on to reveal she wanted to become a writer, joking about making next to nothing. Natalie laughed softly shaking her head. "There's nothing wrong with that." She assured her. Natalie and her adoptive mother certainly had their issues when she was growing up but she knows she loved her and even though she wasn't always the best influence on Natalie she did give her one piece of good advice..And that was to make sure she's doing something she loves. Natalie couldn't imagine being anything other than a nurse. She had other dreams when she was younger but she was happy with the path she choose, how could she not be? In a way it led her to Michael somewhat. And she likes being a nurse. It gives her a sense of fulfillment to be able to help people. 'But I guess who knows. My mom wanted to be an artist when she was my age so who knows? Maybe you'll see me at the hospital, assisting in surgeries and writing on charts someday.' Natalie smiled warmly. "I had my heart set on being a dancer or a fashion designer." She admitted with a small laugh. "But I was told my dancing dream was impractical and as for the other one..To be honest I can't draw or sew to save my life." Natalie laughed with Leigha, taking another drink of wine. "It turned out for the best though. I mean now I really can't imagine being any thing other than a nurse." She mused with a small shrug of her shoulders. "It's important that you do something you love Leigha. If writing makes you happy I think you should go for it." Natalie told her with an encouraging smile. ![]() "Awfully quick with that defense." Derek teased playfully when Jade mentioned Derek probably just mingling. 'He'll come here soon enough..He wouldn't leave without me or without saying goodbye so.' She continued and he nodded. He hadn't really meant to put her on the spot like that or make her uncomfortable if she was. Any joke he made was all in good fun and he thought the same thing whenever she makes jokes at his expense. He's never taken it personally and he hopes she doesn't either. She's pretty tough she doesn't seem like that type that would but you never know sometimes. 'You know how men can be. They get distracted for fifteen seconds and it turns into a two-hour ordeal while they try to get themselves back on track.' He turned to look at Emma when he heard her voice pipe in. 'You know how men can be. They get distracted for fifteen seconds and it turns into a two-hour ordeal while they try to get themselves back on track.' Punching himself in the side lightly, Derek pretended as if he was in pain. "Ouch..Thanks for that." He teased, giving his date a playful nudge. He knew her comment wasn't directed at him and was more about men in general, but he was a goof-ball at heart and liked joking around. After bringing up Hal, he listened to what both Jade and Emma had to say about him. Neither really knew anything he didn't already know. Honestly he hadn't expected them to but he just had to try. He needed to find out more about this guy for his sister's sake. Derek nodded, looking to Emma. "I knew his father Nikolas. Not well, but he was a primary benefactor, on the board and everything. It's too bad what happened to him." Shaking his head, he took a small drink from his wine glass. Roughly a half a year ago Nikolas Cassadine was found dead. Derek remembered it pretty well because he was working the night he was brought in. The person who brought Nikolas in thought he could still be saved but it was too late he was dead upon arrival, there was nothing they could do. "Nikolas was a good man, unfortunately I'm not so sure I can say the same about this son. I don't know, I just get a bad feeling from him." Derek tried to explain, shaking his head he let out a sigh. "Maybe I'm just paranoid, but he's trying to get to know my sister and I just don't like him..Let alone do I trust the punk as far as I can throw him." He told them with a slight laugh. Glancing around the room for a moment he looked for Serena but didn't see her around. She was probably in the ballroom. Or worse, with this Hal guy. "Anyways.." He began once more, before looking to Jade. "It was nice talking to you Jade, hope you and Steve have a good time. " Derek told Jade as sincerely as he could, offering her a small smile before looking to his date. "..But I think we're going to head back into the ballroom now..What do you say Emma?" He asked with a small half smile. __________________ Jason♥Carly Noah♥Rachel Nate♥Jenny Carter♥Serena Clark♥Chloe My guilty pleasure I ain't going nowhere. She didn't care what Derek said; she was still gonna hang out with Hal and he couldn't stop her. Stuff like that really wanted to make her leave, but she wouldn't let Derek win. She couldn't. She had spent eight years hating him for what he did, so what's another rub of salt to the wound? Serena wouldn't be staying with him forever. Soon, she'll most likely tell her parents she's better off coming home and then everything would be good again. If only things were that easy. She took a sip of her drink and she decided to look for Hal. After her conversation with Derek, she realised that maybe she didn't know much about him at all, but then again, Hal didn't seem to be the kind of guy who would admit his feelings. She sighed and looked around and zeroed in on a pretty blonde girl whom she had never seen in Port Charles before. However, Serenity had only been there for a month or two herself, so she still didn't know half the people that were there. She smiled as she walked up to the girl. It was always good to make new friends, especially in a new place. "Hey," she greeted. "You look lost." she commented with a small chuckle. Tag Kimber “You know how men can be. They get distracted for fifteen seconds and it turns into a two-hour ordeal while they try to get themselves back on track,” Jade momentarily snapped out of her reverie when Emma spoke. She nodded. Steve was always like that; he always talked alot, so she wouldn't be surprised if she was alone for the whole night. She looked from Derek to Emma again and gave a small smile to Derek. Jade just wanted him to know that there was always no hard feelings between them. It was all in good fun, and that's how it would stay. However, with Emma in the picture now, she wasn't quite sure whether the harmless banter would continue. "Maybe I'm just paranoid, but he's trying to get to know my sister and I just don't like him..Let alone do I trust the punk as far as I can throw him." Jade remembered Derek saying something about having a sister, but she didn't think she would be friends with Hal Cassadine. Sure, she hadn't heard much about him, but it's probably not all bad. "Well, do you trust your sister at least?" she asked with a shrug. That should really help because at least if he trust his sister, he probably wouldn't have anything to worry about. Then Derek said it was nice talking to her, which meant he was gonna go. She didn't mind, as she had to look for Steve anyway. "Nice talking to you too Derek. Nice to meet you properly Emma." __________________ TL•KS•RP ღ Last edited by shadow kissed : 04-05-2009 at 04:31 AM. | |||

| ![]() Though she had been enjoying Jade’s company, Emma had to admit that she was more than slightly relieved when Derek decided it was about time for he and his date to return to the party. A half-smile briefly gracing her lips, the brunette nodded in agreement. “It was great to be formally introduced to you as well,” She placed a hand upon Jade’s arm and gave it a gentle, friendly squeeze. “..And if I happen to find Steve amidst the crowd, I’ll be sure to send him your way.” With that said, Emma linked her arm with Derek’s and headed back towards the ball. She felt badly about just leaving Jade there to fend for herself, but she was determined to find stupid Steve so that the woman could actually begin to enjoy herself. As her eyes scanned through the various throngs of party go’ers, the petite brunette’s determination persevered. “She’s sweet,” Emma brought up to Derek, attempting to get a sense for how her date for the evening felt for the cute blonde. Had he wanted to sweep her off of her feet and get on a jet to Vegas and elope right now, Emma Drake would be nothing short of amused. Once upon a time ago, she’d had the kind of love that made your stomach flutter and your heart skip a beat. Michael had been her only true love, come to think of it, but that ship had long since sailed. Much like her mother had done after she and Michael’s uncle/father figure had broken up, the elder Drake daughter had thrown herself into her career. Hell, when she and Michael had first gotten together, Robin had warned her that men like that were difficult to get over. She’d done the ‘brooding, misunderstood bad boy’ thing one too many times in her day. First, with Stone, her deceased boyfriend, and then with Jason. She had told her daughter time and time again that boys like that were absolutely impossible to get rid of. In the midst of a heart to heart, she’d even admitted that she still did-- and probably always would-- hold a candle for Jason and Stone despite how deeply she loved Patrick. Now, that was something that Emma could relate to. She had always compared every man she’d ever been with to Michael; the one that got away. Granted, Emma didn’t actually believe that Jade and Derek were madly in love with one another, but she could sense chemistry, and who was she to stand in the way of that? Tilting her head upwards to get a good look at her date, another teasing grin came to her lips and she playfully tapped his nose with her index finger. “Maybe you should ask her to dance…” Leaning forward with a quiet laugh, the brunette shrugged her shoulders. “Or, Y’know, you can ask me to dance… Either way.” __________________ i honestly believed that i'd be {casey cartwright chambers} one day... and now i haven't even spoken to him in over six months. | |||

| ![]() Kimber looked up from her glass startled and smiled at the woman in front of her. She was very pretty and Kimber had seen her chatting with some people so it was obvious she atleast knew people. She smiled in return and held out her hand for the girl. "Hi." She said shyly. "I'm Kimber Lynn Martes but you can just call me Kimber. I'm new in town." She said in her southern drawl. Kimber didn't know why she was so nervous for. In her old town she could make friends easily. All she had to do was flash them a smile and say a friendly hey and they were hooked. But Kimber had to learn that this was Port Charles. Not her small hometown and it was going to take alot more than a smile. __________________ My guilty obsession Cam Gigandet. <3 Last edited by TeamLaFox : 04-05-2009 at 07:32 PM. | |||

She seemed a little nervous in her demeanor, but then again, it was probably different to what she was used to. A culture shock if you will; even if it's just a different city. "I'm Serenity Adams," she replied taking Kimber's hand and shaking it. "But, you can call me Serena. Everyone else seems to." she replied with a laugh. Serena looked at Kimber again and realised that she must feel like how she felt when she moved to Port Charles. She can't find her feet and she is struggling a little bit. Admittedly, Serena still had a hard time finding her feet and her place in this town. Derek almost bit her head off before, but then again, she did give him good reason to. Hal was nowhere to be seen, so that must be a relief to Derek, but not to her really. Maybe Kimber will help reassure Derek that she isn't hanging out with Hal at the moment. "How long have you been here for?" she asked. "How are you finding Port Charles?" __________________ TL•KS•RP ღ
