GH Next Generation Thread 12: *Somehow we stay in an empty place..We fall down*

Made by Soapfan2006 (Emily)

We Fall Down by Dana Parish (To listen to the song click link)

The hour glass
is lying down.
And I just stare
And wonder how
it came to this,
it came to this.

Meet me on the subway train
Just hold my hand and say my name
It doesn't matter if you know me
Just reach out and try to show me how
did we fall down?
We never knew
what pulled us through.
Somehow we stay in an empty place.
But we wanna fill the page.
Turn it around
But we fall down...
We fall down.

The radio
keeps me awake
I pray for all
Of my mistakes
Another week
that I don't sleep.

Meet me in the parking lot.
Yeah, I'll be in the same old spot
You always know where you can find
When you get here please remind me
How did we fall down?
We never knew
what pulled us through.
Somehow we stay in an empty place.
But we wannna fill the page
Turn it around
But we fall down..
We fall down.

How did we fall down?
We never knew
what pulled us through
Somehow we stay in an empty place
But we wanna fill the page
Turn it around
But we fall down
We fall down.

Another week that I won't sleep..

Name: Emma Drake
Age: 27 years old
Occupation: Pediatrics at GH
Parents: Patrick and Robin Drake
History: Since the moment that she was brought into this world twenty-seven years ago, Emma Drake was the apple of her father's eye. While she had been told many different times that Patrick had been an untamable womanizer before she was born, she had never seen anything other than a slightly overbearing and overprotective father. Because both of her parents were very busy, very important doctors, Emma spent most of her formative hospital years at the hospital with them. While there, she grew to have a strong adoration for medicine. She had seen countless times how much you could do while saving lives and it was something that she had always strived for. Naturally, this settled well with her parents and both were all too eager to ship her off as far away as possible to the college of her choice. Emma was reluctant though. Not because she didn't love medicine, but because she was leaving behind someone that she considered to be the great love of her life. She and Michael probably weren't meant to be together, but she had found herself completely and utterly in love with him. It was different lifestyles that ultimately tore them apart though, and before long Emma was in college and was left with only memories of her former love. Nearly ten years later, the death of her younger sister brought her back to town. Now that she has finished med school, she is ready to begin her residency at General Hospital on the pediatrics floor. Because her father is chief of staff, some of the fellow doctors treat her differently than they would treat most residents, but she is slowly getting used to it. While she hates the fact that it took such a tragedy to bring her back to Port Charles, Emma finally feels like she is home again and there is nothing and no one on this Earth that can tear her away.

Name: Jade Beresford
Age: 27
Bio: Jade had a pretty upbeat childhood. She was the middle child of three and even though she got picked on sometimes by her brothers, she managed to just cruise through life. She got good grades in school and was even in the cheerleading squad and social chair. One would say she was a popular girl, but because of her brothers and the way they were overprotective (yes, even her younger brother was!), boys wanted to go near her, but they couldn't. Because of this, she began to do even better in school and once she graduated (with honors), she went to college and studied Pre-Med. She had always wanted to be a doctor, and since some women became nurses, she thought she would be unique and be like all the other female doctors out there. After four years, she went to Harvard Medical School, where she decided her specialty would be Cardiology. There's just something about fixing someone's heart that makes her really happy. Maybe it's the fact that if she can't fix her own heart, metaphorically speaking, then she'll just know that she fixed someone elses. She's always been unlucky in the love department because of her brothers, and also because she's self conscious. After living and taking residency in Boston, she decided to transfer to Port Charles, as she heard their hospital is just as good.

Name: Matthew *Matt* Porter
Age: 32
Bio: Matthew Porter was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, to a lower middle class, suburban family. His father was a History teacher and his mother was a painter. His mother never got much in the way of money because not many people bought her pieces, so she just settled for doing it as a hobby rather than a profession. His father then became the main breadwinner, and they were doing pretty well for a family of four. His younger brother, Ben, always looked up to Matthew and believed he was his role model. That came to even more fruition, when his father died of a heart attack suddenly. They were all pretty devastated, especially Matthew, as he and his father were close. He had always had high hopes for himself, and thought he could achieve anything if he put his mind to it. For years, he had always thought his father was there watching over him; like a guardian angel. So, with his father by his side and hopes for the future, Matt set out to do well in school. Even more so, that he got the grades he needed to become a lawyer, something his dad would have been proud of him for. A year after getting his Law degree, he got accepted into a prestigious law firm just outside of town. However, one alarming case of a young girl being raped by a gang, turned out to be the best for his personal life. One Eliza Ashland was the girl who was beaten up and raped really bad that she almost died. Matt put her rapists on trial and placed them behind bars where they belonged. They fell in love, but when he asked her to marry him, she was reluctant, as she couldn't bare children. He didn't care about that, because he loved her so much. They got engaged and got married soon after. He even helped her get into college and get a degree in social work and become a therapist specializing in women's and children's issues. They decided within a few years that they would like to foster children with, particularly those that were hard to place or had special needs. They have currently adopted three of those children, and would probably take another if the right child came to them. They have moved from the home they all knew for one reason…Claire, Claire is one of the girls they adopted. Their daughter was blinded from a young age in a car accident but there is hope that the Port Charles hospital specialist surgeon’s and facilities might be able, with lots of money of course, to restore her sight.

Name: Trent Bayler
Age: 34
Bio: Trent Bayler was born in Boston Massachusetts, He was a really great kid who was a really private person. Despite this shortcoming, he was very outgoing and easy to get along with, which made him well liked by his peers and elders. After accomplishing the daunting task of completing high school, he decided he wanted to go and do law enforcement, so after doing a semester of pre Law in college, he dropped out and enrolled in the Police Academy instead. He graduated that after a few years and then went straight into working for the police. After finding that it wasn’t fulfilling for him after awhile, he decided to become a hitman for the mob. Well, it was no easy task, but after securing himself a position on the mobs payroll (which they were reluctant to do at first because he seemed too eager) his double life started at the mere age of 22. After working for the Boston Police and the mob, he decided to move to Port Charles and transfer to the Police department there under strict orders to infiltrate it so he could also become an informant for the mob in Port Charles (for god knows what reason). The primary reason he became a cop was to help justice get served, and the reason he wanted to be in the mob was to have the best of both worlds. Complicated huh? But, since being in Port Charles for eight years, he’s gotten along with one of the mobs there as well as the Police force. His problem? Keeping his double life hidden from the police.

[The Valmont Family]

Name: Kate Valmont
Age:26
Info/History: Kate Valmont is the eldest child of mafia and crime boss Frank Valmont of Pittsburgh. She's rich, cruel, sadistic and not a woman you want to mess with. She's as dangerously lethal as they come. Kate's story is basically a tale of revenge. She was engaged to Will Shelton and ready to have the exact life she knew she was always entitled...But then something tragic happened. A car bomb was planted in his car by a rival mob family. Her father Frank would have been in the car with him when it exploded if Will had waited to start the car. Frank had been walking to the car because the two of them were going to eat to discuss some business as well as the upcoming wedding, Kate was on the porch waving them off...Will started the car before Frank reached the car, and that was when it exploded. Kate was left devastated by the event, but relieved that her father wasn't killed as well. He did get severely injured from the explosion, but his life hasn't come to a fatal end yet like her fiancée’s had. Kate worked long and hard to find out who was responsible for Will's death, and has been led to believe Michael Corinthos of Port Charles NY is the man ordered the car bomb to be put in the car. Kate has always been a tough as nails, take no crap type of girl but for the last year and a half she has been focused on only one thing...Seeking her revenge for Will. She'd trained every second of every day non-stop, winning over her fathers approval quickly. He gave her half his business, and warned her not to get too caught up in revenge...He passed away just two weeks ago. The other part of the business was given to the manipulative family lawyer until Kate had enough experience to take on the whole thing and Kate does plan to take over the rest of the buisness someday too..But first things first, first she has to get her revenge. She's heading to Port Charles New York and temporarily residing there until after she gets her revenge. She's familiar from New York from times when she's visited her old friend Ryan Rosco. But she doesn't know he's living in Port Charles at the moment. Neither one of them have spoken to each other in years. Back when she was only about twenty, Ryan was in Pittsburg doing some business with her family. That was when she was introduced to him.

Name: Tess Valmont
Age: 25.
Bio: Tess Raine never had an easy life. She was born Tess Valmont, the youngest daughter of crime loard Frank Valmont but in order to understand her, you have to start before that with her mother. Evelyn was Frank's beloved wife, the two were great together. They were two powerful people who ruled all of Pennsyvania. They appeared to be the perfect pair. That is, until Frank decided to have a mistress named Ava. Ava would later bare the first of two children by Frank. Surpringly, Evelyn stayed with him even knowing that he was seeing Ava on the side. She was blinded by the love that she had for him. One year after Kathryn was born, the second, Tess, made her enterance in the world. Even then, Evelyn stayed with Frank. Tess and Kathryn, who was mostly called Kate, grew up being compared to one another. Kate was the perfect child while Tess was the mistake. Despire that, the girls were still close. They protested being seperated when Frank divorced Evelyn to marry Ava when they were seven and eight. After Evelyn left the house, the girls never saw each other again until years later. For the rest of her life, Tess was blamed for her parent's divorce. If she hadn't been born, then they would still be together. That's what Evelyn would tell her anyay. After Evelyn remarried, things took a turn for the worse. Sure she stopped getting blamed for what happened, but blaming was replaced with ignoring. Her mom and new dad were more concerened with each other than her. She spent the rest of her years until she was eighteen boring raised by a nanny while they were out doing whatever they wanted to. Everything took a toll on her and she became a bitter and jaded young girl. In highschool, she met her match, her soulmate, the man that would become her everything. They met in detention and were attached at the hip ever since. They were together for a few years before they finally got married. She knew she was in love with him when he saved her from almost getting raped by a photographer during her short lived modeling career. She didn't even care that he was in the mob, she was his forever.Though having a mob king for a husband doesn't make things easy. There is alot of time apart and death threats to test a marriage. At one point, Evan put his work before his wife and she got lonely enough to make her do drastic things; cheat. She began an affair with her brother in law Ethan. During the duration of the affair, her husband decided to pay attention to her and the two reconnected. It was enough of a reconnection to get her pregnant but there was one problem; who the father of her baby was. Or rather babies because she found out she was having twin boys. She about died when she learned that information. It wasn't easy for her during her pregnancy beause she and Evan had gotten distant again. Alot of fighting insued but it seemed to get better after their boys were born. Yes, their boys. Secretly, she had had a DNA test done to determine who the father was. She was pleased that it was her husband's and not her brother in law's. It made things easier.Slowly but surely, she and Evan are connecting again and giving their marriage another try while raising their boys together. It's not the life she dreamed of but it's one she won't trade for anything in the world. Anything.

Name: Sebastian "Bastian" Valmont.
Age: 23.
Bio: Born as the youngest Valmont child, Sebastian already had his life laid out for him the second he was born. When he grew up, he would take over the family business after his father retired. He had two older sisters, one that left with her mother when he was just five, but being the only boy, the empire would be passed down to him and not them. As a young boy, he accepted his destiny because he really looked up to his father. Though that changed, somewhat after his mother died and his father became a man he did not recognize. He became cold and just someone he didn’t recognize. Sebastian was only seven at the time his mother died. Knowing that she died by mob violence, he wasn’t so keen on being in the family business anymore. His father was alot harder on him when he expressed those wishes. At fourteen, he was sent to boarding school to ‘smarten up’ as his father put it. When he returned home at eighteen, he once again embraced his destiny, only this time he didn’t have a choice. He had to learn the ways of the family business or he would be a victim of it. Liking his life and living it, the barely of age boy did as he was told. When he was just twenty-two, his father passed away. His biggest fear came true - he had to run the business. Thankfully, he had his sister Kate around to do it for him. That is, until she left town to get revenge on the man who killed her fiancé. For nearly nine months, he was left on his own running things. Things didn’t go smoothly, needless to say, because he didn’t know what he was doing. Clearly, he was a follower instead of a leader. Shortly after his twenty-third birthday, he found that he had cancer. He had been feeling sick for months and decided to go get a check up. The news devastated him but he decided not to give up on life. He was going to fight and win this battle. After looking up treatment centers, he headed to Port Charles, NY. Not only was treatment center the best in the eastern side of the United States but also he found out from a phone call from Kate that both she and Tess were now residing there. That was all he needed to pack his bags and go there. He had really missed his sister, especially Tess. He couldn’t wait to see her again after all these years.

Name: Johnny *Johnny Zero* Banks
Age: 28
Bio: There are some people who say that your childhood haunts you wherever you go.Have a good one? It'll help you.Have a bad one? It will ruin you. Those people would probably classify Johnny Banks as 'Piece of Evidence #1'.Here is a man who perhaps is good at heart but had his life ruined early on.He grew up in Detroit with his mother,a nurse at the local hospital, and his father,a mechanic.Life was never perfect but it was good enough.Johnny's father though was mentally unstable,a fact that Johnny never knew growing up,and one night he snapped and ended up shooting Johnny's mother in a rage.Johnny watched the whole thing happen. His father was checked into an insane asylum and Johnny was placed in foster care because all of his mother's relatives didn't want to take him, fearing he might share his father's genes and end up the same way.Johnny was a quiet child. He rarely spoke t o anyone. He bounced around between three different foster families, none of who cared for him well.By 18,he was off on his own.To his credit,he tried to make a good life for himself. He tried to find a good job but luck had other plans. The one point in his life where the future seemed to be bright was when he met Madison Tanner. She was his angel. She was the bright part of his life. When she revealed she was pregnant,Johnny pledged to take care of her and give her the life she deserved.Only problem is that he didn't have the money for that.So he got in with some bad people...some people he probably shouldn't have. This is where the story gets complicated. If you ask Johnny,he'll tell you that he crossed one of the guys he was working for and they shot and killed Madison who was six months pregnant with their baby. He'll tell you that everything he does now is for revenge. But what's the real story? Madison found out the lifestyle he was living and left him.She vanished into thin air and Johnny was never able to find her again. He blamed himself of course and he made up the story in order to give his life a purpose...or maybe so he can feel like he's dying for a reason instead of it just being suicidal. He met Tiago through a few other guys he knew and decided he was in on the scheme that was being planned. For what reason? Just to to do it.Maybe he's just like his father and he's mentally unstable.Or maybe he just has lost everything that matters and doesn't care what happens to him now.

Name: Christian Pierce
Age: 27
Bio: Christian grew up in Camden, New Jersey. Born to drug addicts James and Jenna pierce their family lived in a small trashy apartment on the dangerous run down side of the City. His parents dealt meth to all the local addicts right out of their apartment while Christian stayed in the confides of his room most of the time. When he was seven his parents meth lab was raided. James and Jenna were tossed in jail while Christian was sent directly to a foster care program. From there on out things only became worse for Christian. He went from one bad foster home to another, the next one always being worse than the one before. At the age of fifteen he was being fostered by a angry unpredictable alcoholic who'd just assume use Christian as a punching bag than actually try and take care of him. Even when Christian didn't do anything wrong and didn't screw up Rick Coroleon still found a reason to kick the shit out of him. Unable to take it anymore Christian ran away soon finding himself on the filthy streets he lived on as a boy when he was still with his birth parents. Livening on the streets hardened the boys already mingled and mangled heart. The neighborhood forced him to grow up faster and by the time he was seventeen he was running errands and doing small favors for New Jersey mafia kingpin Charles Kinsmen. Small favors quickly turned into huge favors as the over ambitious mob boss took Christian under his wing and taught him everything he knew. It wasn't before too long that Christian become Charles most trusted man. He threatened, investigated, beat up, killed..You name it and Christian did it for Charles. Anything and everything Charles wanted done, Christian did for him. They were closer than close, Charles was the closet thing Christian ever had to a real father. Angered and envious of the attention and favoritism their boss was showing Christian, Charles former best hit man came up with a plot to take over the organization and he had the rest of Charles men to back him up on it. Unfortunately Christian didn't realize what they were planning until it was too late. Charlie was killed and he probably could have prevented it if he would have just put things together a little sooner. Angered over losing the old man Christian lost control and in an angry rage killed every single person involved in his mentors death. The man he loved like his own father use to express desire of having Christian take things over for him someday but due to his untimely demise unfortunately he was never able to put his final wishes in his will. Carter Kinsmen, who already was running business for his father in south New Jersey, came to Camden to take over the other half of his father's business. Christian was thanked for his undying loyalty to the mans father and offered a position in what was now Carter's organization. After kindly turning him down Christian decided Camden wasn't for him anymore and hightailed it West traveling from city to city and state to state doing various work for those who knew his reputation and seeked him. Christian was 23 when he left Camden and has been on his own doing various jobs where the pay was good for the last four years now. Just recently he landed himself in Port Charles, NY. After being there only a couple days it didn't take long for Tiago Ruiz to approach Christian and make him offer. Although Christian doesn't have a high opinion of the Ruiz's in any way, shape, or form and normally won't do a job unless it's by himself, Christian reluctantly took on the job. The pay was good and he needs the cash to get him to the next town.

Name: Serenity Adams
Age: 18
Bio: Serenity Adams, as the name escapes people's lips, they often associate her with 'oddball' or 'freak.' Honestly, she really doesn't care what people think about her. She had grown up thinking that the only opinion about herself that matters is her own, and of course, her brother Derek, who she had become close to over the years. She is pretty eccentric in some ways, but that's what makes her unique from everybody else in the world. It's really the only thing that defines her. Her parents are sort of out of the picture, not literally, but to her, they have been for a long time. They always used to pay attention to Derek, which drove her mad. They thought of him as their golden child, which is why she was always jealous of him when she was younger. It wasn't that she hated him, it was just hard for her to deal with the fact that she was never really seen as great to them. In school, her grades always faltered because if her parents didn't care about her, then they wouldn't care about what she did either. Derek was the one who actually got her out of her slump. That was the first time that she realised that having Derek in her life was a good thing. The real only reason why her grades became higher. Derek believed in her when no-one else really did. People at school would often shun her because of her behavior, so she didn't really have that many friends. She thought that if Derek stayed with her, she'd have nothing to worry about. However, when he left for med school ten years ago, leaving her behind, her life began to crumble very slowly. When she was ten, she didn't understand how Derek leaving would affect her. But, as she grew up, she began to see that Derek may never come back in a permanent capacity. Because of this realisation, her grades slipped again and as'wbecame depressed. It really wasn't intentional that this would happen. Derek actually wanted her to do well in school like she had been when he was actually around to see her succeed. But, it wasn't the same. With few good friends to her name and her parents being deliriously happy about Derek's success, Serenity was at an all time low. By the age of fourteen, she started hanging around with the wrong crowd in school and dabbled in a bit of drugs to drown her sorrows. Her parents were oblivious to their youngest child's shenanigans which was how she wanted it. Serenity began hating Derek for what he was doing to her. Just as they were getting close, he up and leaves her. That was when she started taking things into her own hands. One Saturday night when her parents went to bed, she went into the kitchen and got a knife out of the drawer. Cutting herself was really easy and she didn't feel a thing. It was more adrenaline than anything else. Watching the blood ooze from her wrist gave her control. Like it was the only thing that she could control. Her brother was gone and her parents thought she was non existent. The first time she tried killing herself, she wasn't hospitalised. The second, third and fourth times, it became easier and easier. She went through this for a few years. One night, she decided to do something different. She went into the bathroom and got her mom's pills and swallowed a whole handful. This was when her parents actually took some notice and took her to the hospital. The doctors pumped her stomach and when she came to, her parents dropped the ultimate bombshell: she was gonna live with Derek. Even though she was old enough to make her own choices, and since she just graduated high school, they thought Derek would be a good choice since he is a doctor and he has connections to other doctors who can help her. She didn't want it to come to this. Derek was the reason for her downfall in the first place. A few days later, she was shipped off to Port Charles; Derek oblivious to what his sister has been up to and even though he knew about her subsequent arrival, her parents left it up to her to tell him what's been happening. But, one thing's for sure, she hasn't forgiven Derek for what he put her through. For now anyway.

Name: Vivien “Viv” Cassadine
Age: Twenty-One
History: Vivien Cassandra Cassadine thought her life was something from a fairytale. Born to Sarah Webber and Nikolas Cassadine, she was accustomed to having everything handed to her. She distinctly remembers her father renting out the restaurant at the top of the Eiffel tower to celebrate her fifth birthday. A prestigious private school was not as much a privilege as it was a requirement. Eager to please her parents, Vivien lived away from home all but three months of every year. She missed a lot. Though she had witnessed her father and mother exchanging harsh words before, their was always a gift and a kiss to follow. She defined her parents as nothing more than passionate in everything they did. When her semester ended early her sophomore year, Vivien decided to surprise her family. She could hear the screaming before her private car fully parked. What she witnessed through the glass windows of her once flawless home proved her entire existence a lie. Nikolas slapped her mother and the look of pure rage in his eyes was that of a stranger. Vivien debated running far away or interrupting her father’s tirade to curse him, but she did neither. Instead she spent the night in a hotel room and vowed to one day enact revenge on her father for the pain he had caused. When she returned the next day she hugged both parents and continued on with life. When Nikolas and her mother separated a month later she didn’t cry, but swore to Nikolas she blamed nothing on him. Over the years that he was away she kept in constant contact, knowing his trust could double as a tool to destroy him. A month after her twentieth birthday Vivien’s cousin Leigha came to stay with her and Sarah in Paris. Leigha and her had always been close friends (where her and Ridley leaned more towards the acquaintance side of things). It was revealed only then that Vivien’s half brother Hal had come to Port Charles. He was the golden child of Nikolas and Emily who had been stolen and raised by Helena. Vivien had often wondered if he was still alive. Leigha explained her distrust of the young man, and a light went off in Vivien’s mind. She now had the chance to make her father’s life crumble in all around him. Unknown to Leigha or her mother, Vivien hired a private investigator to research Hal’s intentions. He was bred to hate Nikolas and Vivien knew she had found an ally. She contacted her brother and fed him secrets her father had entrusted to her. In return Hal swore she would receive the full power of being a Cassadine. When he constructed a way to eliminate Nikolas completely Vivien wishes she could say she had a moments hesitation but she didn‘t. News of her fathers death didn’t even cause her to flinch. Of course, she put on a mask and convinced Sarah she was beyond comfort. Her insistence to move to Port Charles in an attempt to grieve and say a proper goodbye was bought into rather easily. She only just arrived but Vivien can taste the power Hal is about to hand her, and in due time it just may consume her.

Name: Kimber Lynn Martes
Age: 20
Bio Kimber was born and raised in the small town of Huntsville, Alabama. She was the youngest of seven children. Four brothers and two sisters. Her father was a dentist and her mother a dental assistant. For the most part, Kimber led a normal life with nothing to complain about. As a young girl, she had found herself interested in fashion. When her sisters would be gossiping in the room, Kimber was right there on the bed next to them flipping through one of their various glossy magazines and pointing out outfits she liked. By the time she was in fourth grade, Kimber found herself mixing and matching outfits until she came up with something cute. In high school, Kimber was one of the pretty popular girls. She was captain of the cheerleading team and dated the Quarterback of the football team. While she loves her town, Kimber needed to get away when she graduated and try out something she loved. She's hoping an internship at Blush will help her with a jumpstart in her career.

After Kate left him and Tess, Basitan stayed around for a little bit ti keep his big sister company. She, after all, had come solo and he didn't want her to be alone all night while he was off having the time of his life with Lainey. He could hold off a little while then go find her.

He felt bad for Tess being there alone after all she had been through. Granted, he wasn't around for all of it, but he had heard every detail of it from her and he felt so bad for her. If he ever came in contact with that slug of an ex husband of hers, he would not hesitate to kill the man. He wasn't usually a violent man but when the situation called for it, as this did with one of his sister's getting hurt, he would do what he had to. The man would pay if he ever met him. He had no doubt about that.

"You don't have to sit here with me all night, you know" Tess started, looking over at her little brother, who was sitting across from her at a table. She reached out and grabbed her glass of wine, taking a sip of it before she contined. "I'm sure you have better things to do"

"Are you kidding? There's no on else I'd rather spend the night with than -- " Bastian stopped when she saw the look Tess was giving him and he chuckled a little bit. "Alright you got me. I could spend time with my lady but I feel bad that you -- "

"Don't feel bad for me, little brother. Ever. I hate that. Seriously, go be with your girlfriend. I'll be fine here by myself. I'm a big girl, I can be alone by myself and be happy about it. I don't always need to be with someone" Tess insisted, waving a hand at him as if she was dismissing him from his duties as her babysitter for the night.

"Alright alright if you insist. I'll be around if you need me" Bastian stood up, pulling out his phone as he did so. He leaned over and gave Tess a kiss on the forehead then he headed out of the ball room while texting Lainey to meet him somewhere.

He still felt bad leaving Tess to sit by herself, but the thought of seeing Lainey slowly made the guilt go away. After texting her instuctions to meet him in the south hallway, he moved down the hallway himself until he found a door to a vacant room that he could go into.

Entering, he wasn't too sure what room he was actually in. It looked like a den of sorts or something. He didn't really care either way what it was. There was no one in there which made it the perfect room for them to meet in. There was even a couch that they could comfortably sprawl out on. It couldn't be any better than it was. Now all he had to do was wait for Lainey.

He kept the door open just a little bit and when he saw her pass by, he reached out and grabbed her. He pulled her into her the room and pushed her against the door to shut it, his lips pressed up against hers. It had been days since they last saw each other and his lips ached for hers. His lips weren't the only thing that ached for her.

He didn't respond to her question, he just smirked and put his hands on either side of her as their bodies pressed together after she pulled him closer to him. He deepened their kisses and slipped his tongue out to tease her bottom lip, his hands moving up and down her gold dress. It wasn't long before one was slipping under it, running along the inside of her thigh. She looked good in the dress but she would look even better out of it. He knew that for a fact.

Tess watched Bastian walk off, a bit of a smile coming to her face as she shook her head a little bit. Even though Bastian had grown up, he was still the sweet kid she remembered him as. Whenever something happened to either her or Kate, he was always right by their side to comfort them or keep them company. Usually, it was him by her side because often she would cry over something their father said to her or something simular.

Their father was always insulting his 'mistake child'. Not a day went by that he didn't say something degrading to her. Basitan always made an effort to try and make her feel better on the bad days when it really effected her. She was positive that he would have done the same for her if he had been around when everything with Evan happened. He wouldn't have left her side. It would have been nice to have him around during that time. It was horrible going through it alone.

Now that her siblings were around she wouldn't have to go through anything alone anymore. She was happy about that because she was tired of going through things alone. It was rougher than she would ever admit.

When Basitan was out of eye shot, her eyes roamed the room behind her red mask to see if she spotted anyone she knew. Her eyes fell on Carver standing alone by the side of the room and she smirked a little bit. He looked so good in a tux. Of course, he looked good wearing anything. As she got up and wondered over to him, she wondered how he looked without any clothes. He had a girlfriend but she didn't feel any shame thinking that. She was only human, after all and a single one at that. She was allowed to think of a man without his clothes on when she hadn't gotten any in a while. She wouldn't remember the last time she had sex. It was rather depressing.

"You clean up nice" She commented when she got to him. She brought up her glass after she spoke and took a sip of it before she spoke again. "I take it you didn't leave your little girlfriend yet?" She asked, as she lowerd the now empty glass and put it on a passing by trey while grabbing another one at the same time. It wouldn't hurt to have one or ten more. "Why don't you leave her already and be with a real woman?" She was in a flirtacious mood that night. Wine sometimes put her in that mood and tonight was one of those cases.

"You better be." Constance whispered as they pulled back from another kiss. She was so happy she convinced him into coming. Not that she would have ever took no for an answer but he could be a stubborn one, even more stubborn than her and she was pretty damn stubborn. 'Come on why do we have to dance before I even get a drink in me? That's not fair, baby.' Constance laughed her head going back a little as Chase took her hand and started to lead her in search of drinks. "Who you calling baby? Your the one that always has to have your way..baby.'" She teased, moving right up close to his face as he narrowed his eyes at her. "You know you love me." She scrunched her nose slightly before closing the distance between them and giving him a short kiss. As he got their drinks she took one of them of his hands, using one hand to hold her drink while the other rested against his chest. She was about to bring up the subject of that dance when she felt his phone viberating beneath her fingers through the material of his suit. Chase must of felt it too because he was already moving to retrieve it. Constance groaned wishing for a moment that she had a husband who actually considered turning of his cell phone. This was the first romantic thing they've done in forever and they were having a great time, the last thing she wanted was "business" to ruin it. "Do not answer that." She said though she didn't know why she even bothered when she knew he wasn't going to listen. You'd think he was allergic to listening with how little he listened to her. 'It'll just be a second.' He promised leaning in. With a playful roll of her eyes she turned her head just a little so he kissed her cheek instead of her lips.

"Make it snappy." She told him just before he answered. At the sound of Molly’s voice Constance turned away from her husband to listen to Molly greet the crowed. She smiled as she listened, proud of her brunette friend. Tonight was going to be a major success and it was all because of Molly. She busted her ass to make sure tonight and everything about it would be perfect. She did one hell of a job too. They’ve been spending a lot of time together since Constance took over for Brenda and the entire experience has mostly just made her wonder why they didn’t become friends sooner. As Molly finished her speech Constance turned back to her husband just as he was slipping his phone in his pocket.'I'll all yours for tonight, I promise. No more business.' Constance nodded, smiling softly as she took a step closer so their was hardly any distance between them. "..Do I have to put your phone in my purse to make sure you keep your word." She teased, clearly only playing around. He gave her that look of his..The irresistible one only he could do. Shaking her head slightly she smiled, giving him a soft kiss. "Come on...You owe me a dance, time to pay up." Constance smiled, pulling him with her to where the dancing was. He wasn't getting out of it this time.

They danced for a couple minutes and as they danced her eyes started to wander around the room. The variety of different dresses and masks were absolutely mesmerizing She was confident she picked the perfect dress for herself but still, it was hard taking her eyes off everyone else‘s. As her eyes searched the crowd she saw various faces moving in and out of the decorative masks among the room. However it wasn‘t until her eyes caught one face that her smile faltered and she stopped dancing all together, frozen by the face. It literally felt like her world stopped moving in that moment. It was…It was Reese. As in Jamie’s mother. But how…how was that even possible? Reese was dead. Killed by one of Lorenzo’s enemy’s just like her own mother was killed by an enemy of her fathers. She couldn’t believe her eyes. She was so shocked she didn’t even notice Reese or the woman who liked like Reese..Whoever she was, she was so stunned by just seeing her she didn’t even notice her leaving until she was at the door. Right away her instincts screamed for her to follow her, so loudly she couldn’t ignore them. “I..um..” Constance looked at Chase just now realizing he was trying to get her attention. She scrambled for an excuse. Anything. Firstly Chase never liked Reese and secondly if she were to tell him what she just saw he would call her crazy. Maybe she was. What other explanation was there for seeing a dead woman. “I have to go use the restroom…I’ll be right back.” With that, she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before hurrying out of the room.

She had to find this woman. She had to know for certain if she was really Reese or if her eyes had just been playing tricks on her. She wanted to know for Jamie..and for herself too because she almost felt as strongly about this as she would if it was her own mother ‘s face she just saw. Reese was like a second mother to her in everyway that mattered growing up. As she moved down a hallway her pace quickened until she came to the rather large dinning room area. She stopped at the sight of the woman’s figure not more than ten feet away from her. The woman was turned so Constance couldn’t see the woman's face yet but she couldn’t shake the feeling that she was right about who she was. She could just feel it. “…Reese?” She whispered, her voice soft and hopeful. “..Is it really you…Are you really here right now?…Or I have suddenly gone crazy because…How can it be you? How can I be seeing you right now..” She trailed off as she took a step closer in the dark haired woman’s direction, anticipating the moment she would turn around and reveal what Constance inside, already knew.

As Gavin started to tell her how much he loved her and how he never loved anyone else, Audrey really didn't know what to expect. It sounded like something you would say when you were trying to break up with someone..Because much as she loves hearing him tell her he loves her she knows him well enough to know when theirs a but coming and in this case their definitely was. She wanted to tell him to stop. There didn't need to be any but because she wants to stand by him and be there for him no matter what. Why can't he see that? Maybe he does and maybe he just thinks she’s wrong. 'But nothing is ever going to be the same again.I take meds now but it's not like suddenly my disorder is gone. It's always going to be there. And I just...I don't want to hurt you or mess up your life.' He elaborated and Audrey jumped to defend him, wanting to tell him he could never hurt her. Before she could though Gavin managed to stop her by putting his hand up and speaking before she could. 'I'm not saying I want things to be over because that's the last thing I want.I need you in my life.I just...maybe we can slow things down...see how this all goes...try to find a new normal.' He tried to explain. Audrey shook her head slightly in response, staring down at her feet for a momence longer before meeting his eyes.

"Gavin...We haven't seen each other in three months...I wouldn't say we've exactly been on the best of terms in like six months..I don't know how much more we can slow it down than that..." It was true. He'd been gone for three months, that's how long it was since they've had any contact at all..And before that..Before that they were fighting because she didn't understand what was going on with him and she was jealous that for some reason it seemed like Lainey did. So how were they suppose to slow it down anymore than where they were already. "I don't..I don't understand. I mean you say you don't want to break up but when you say something like what you just said..What am I suppose to think Gavin?" Shrugging slightly, she took a step back and put hands to her forehead for a second. "I know you think I'm just some fragile girl but there comes a point when you have to realize I don't need your protection..And I certainly don't need you protecting me from yourself..I..What do you think that I'm just not strong enough to handle it? That I'm not messed up or warped enough to be around you or...or just to understand you?" She was hurt. Of course she was hurt. When he came back breaking up wasn't what she pictured them doing..Making up, yes but not this..not this messed up conversation that she couldn't even begin to understand. Why was he making this harder than it had to be? Why was he shutting her out and closing himself off to her?

"Sorry." Morgan apologized for sneaking up on her. "Not my intention." He added with a slight laugh. 'But it’s fine. I was just taking a look around. Port Charles sure knows how to throw a party.' Morgan smiled softly as he looked around as well. He thought of Molly and how much she'd accomplish. It made him question the rash decision making he made when he decided to take off without hearing Molly out. She was doing so well for herself, she had come so so far. Maybe she wanted a fresh start, maybe she wanted nothing to do with Carver's games and conning ways. "You have the hostess to thank for that. She's an pretty ambitious one." Morgan told her, without letting her in on just who Molly Lansing was and what his connection with her was. 'After you.' Felicity said, following after him. 'So, what’s a new girl in Port Charles to expect from this town?' She asked and Morgan couldn't help but smile with amusement. The old age question every newcomer to PC asked. With a small laugh, he shook his head. "I'm not sure you wanna know the answer to that one." He responded, taking a drink from his wine.

As they entered the ballroom together he went on. "Let's just say..Things have a way of remaining interesting around here..It's never boring in Port Charles." He rephrased shrugging his shoulders slightly. When they came to a table he pulled out a chair for her. After she took her seat he sat down in the chair next to her. The ballroom was really starting to fill up as all the guests filing in now. Looking around he saw some of his friends and relatives behind the decorative masks. His sister Constance was there dancing and having a ball which was to be expected since she was running Brenda's company for the time being. Brenda's modeling agency and Molly's magazine were naturally in business together. which meant his sister and Molly had probably been spending time with one another as of late. He just hoped his name was being left out of any girl talk they may or may not be having. That just wouldn't be good. "So..Where do you hail from Felicity?" Morgan asked her with a small grin. "You've been coming in and out of the police station for weeks now since getting that job with the DA..and in all the talking we've done I don’t think I ever asked you where your from.."

It wasn't long after Molly greeted the room that she came over to them. As her sister told them she was glad they decided to come, Ridley nodded. "It took some convincing..on his part." She told her with a small shrug while eyeing Eric. It wasn't a lie. When they got to the docks she was thisclose to backing out and she would have if Eric hadn't convinced her otherwise. The thing was her reasoning for not wanting to be there had nothing to do with Molly and Eric and everything to do with the fact that Jamie and Laura were there together..probably as a couple. (shudder). Eric wondered if he should leave them alone for a moment and even though Ridley wasn't sure she wanted him to she knew she needed it. Molly and her needed to talk. And Ridley needed to ask her about some things to but she wasn't entirely certain right here and now was the best time for the Eric discussion. Actually she knew it was but her determination was a whole another story. "Could you? I'm sorry..I just..I need a few moments alone with my sister." She said, looking from him to Molly. Being the incredibly understanding boyfriend he'd been since the start Eric agreed, giving her a quick kiss before leaving them to themselves. "Molly..I just don't want to fight with you. I mean we barely even talk anymore, I hate that. You just came back into my life not all that long ago and..it just shouldn't be like this." Ridley sighed, hoping they would at least be able to agree on the fact that they both hated this.

Looking around for a brief moment, she managed a small smile. "The place looks..unrecogonizable. You've done a truly amazing job and I'm so soproud of you..I really hope you know that." She was extremely proud of her sister and she wanted her to know that, she needed her to. “But that’s not why I wanted to talk you alone…” Ridley went on as they slowly walked, stopping near one of the many little round tables. “It’s about Eric.” She revealed not entire sure how to approach the subject. It was extremely hard to admit she might have been wrong after everything she’s said and done. Sighing, Ridley sat down at the table and tried to think of the best way to say what she needed to say and ask what she needed to ask. “Jamie…He’s said some things about Eric. He doesn’t trust him and I just..I can’t ignore this anymore. I know Eric’s not being completely honest with me, I’ve always known I just never wanted to see it. I know there’s something he’s not telling me and I know there’s something you aren’t telling me either..” Ridley trailed off. There wasn’t exactly a question in any of that but she knew Molly knew what she was asking.

“Believe me I would much rather go on pretending that nothings wrong and everything is fine and normal but…I can’t do that anymore.” Not at the risk of losing Molly and Jamie over a man she didn’t even really know..There was too much at stake. No matter how much she wants to believe she knows Eric, what if she doesn't? What if she never did? It’s not easy for her to come to terms with by any means but she really doesn’t have a choice anymore. “You have to know how extremely hard it was for me to come to you with this…So please, whatever it is just tell me.” Ridley wasn’t sure if would be able to believe whatever Molly did have to say..It depended on what it was really but for the sake of the people she loves she was sure as hell going to try..Much harder than she did the first time Molly came to her about Eric. Easier said than done.

Trent understood. He thought in more ways than one that he could change the world too. But little did he know that he would be recruited to work for the other side too. He loved being a cop, but the thrill of working for the mob just gave him the biggest adrenaline rush and made him feel like he could pretty much make his own laws instead of enforcing them. He nodded as she said that she had done things that she wasn't proud of. So did he. Working for Chase didn't ease his conscience one bit. It's the ultimate betrayal to his lawful colleauges, but he can't bring himself to stop. He loves his double life and he can't count the people he's duped on one hand, heck not even on two hands or even two hands and two toes anymore, if you want to get that literal about it. Being a cop puts those thoughts on the back burner and give back to the community, since he's having so much fun taking back things too much.
"Yes it does," he replied. "And let's just say that I feel the same way about being a cop too." he added with a nod.

Reporting for Sarah. Others to come later.

The boat ride over to the island was anything but pleasant for anyone invovled, especially Laura. She was practically being ignored by Jamie for Ridley just because she was with someone he didn't like. The whole night would be a waste if he was just going to give Eric ( if that was even his name, she couldn't remember ) the death glare all night for even daring to be with his precious Ridley. Crossing her arms over her chest, she looked out at the water as the boat made it's way to Wydenmere, the city of Port Charles getting farther and farther away.

It always puzzled her why her uncle had chosen such a remote location to live. Why not live closer to town incase something happened? She always meant to ask him that before he moved to Paris but it always slipped her mind as soon as she stepped into the house and began running around with Chandler, who sometimes came with them whenever Lucky had her that week. They used to have such a blast together when they were kids. It was a shame that they hadn't hung out in a while. She would have to remember to remedy that once things settled down and Chandler was back in town.

She came out of her own world when the boat stopped and she heard Jamie speak to his sisters and then Ridley before they all got off the boat. Her arm was in his as they walked towards the front door. After they headed their invitations, she slipped on her mask and moved towards the ballroom with him. She turned her head to look over at him as he apologized for ignoring her for Ridley. He explained that it was because he didn't like Eric and she just rolled her eyes, which was something he couldn't see due to her mask.

"No it's not fair. It'd be great if you remembered who you came here with and not act like a jealous exboyfriend over someone you've never even dated. I mean if that's all that's going to happen tonight, I'm going to turn around and get back on that launch to head back to the mainland" As a Spencer, and the daughter of overemtional at times Lulu Spencer, she spoke her mind even if it wasn't the right time for it. She wanted Jamie to know exactly how she felt about what he had just done on the boat right over. She would not be play second fiddle to Ridley and her boyfriend all night. She refused.

Now that she told him all of that, a smile faced her face like she hadn't said a word. "May I have this dance?"

Reese knew that it probably wasn't the best idea to be at Molly's event tonight. She'd seen Jamie on the Haunted Star a few weeks ago and that should have been enough but for a mother you couldn't put a price on the time you spent being close to your child. For years Reese had been forced to stay away and now that she had the slightest ounce of freedom, her son was the only thing on her mind. Reese had spoken just a few words to Jamie on the ship, but she could still close her eyes and hear his strong voice call out her name. He sounded so grown up and yet, he was a child once more in her prescence. It came as no surprise really. Jamie had thought his mother was dead until a few weeks ago and even now, he was probably asking himself if he'd just imagined the whole ordeal. Reese had given him no explination and vanished due to reasons she couldn't confide in Jamie. And now she was hiding in the shadows, dressed in a stunning black dress and wearing a ridiculous mask and for what? So she could spy on her own child? Reese couldn't do this. She'd made a mistake in coming, clearly. Jamie was living a good life without her and she was putting him at risk being this close. It was too selfish. Reese began to take a few slow steps backwards, not wanting to draw attention to herself. She'd slip out the back door and it would be as if she'd never entered in the first place.

Her escape plan was disrupted when her eyes locked with a familiar face. It was Constance Morgan, Carly and Jason's daughter. She was dancing with a man, but Reese couldn't be sure who it was. His back was to her and for a moment she thought it must be Jamie, but before she could be certain Constance was walking towards her and Reese panicked and turned, picking up her pace down a nearby hallway. She slipped into a old, dusty room with a piano and took a shaky breath. Why was she so nervous? Constance had been like a daughter to her and Reese was acting as though she were a parasite of some sort. "Reese?" Reese stood still, knowing she had no choice but to reveal herself now. Constance asked her to prove she wasn't crazy and turn around, but it wasn't that easy. Once Reese talked to Constance, everything changed. Everything. "I...hello Constance." Reese spun around and forced a tentative smile on her face, unsure of what words to choose. "You look, you look so beautiful. Like your mother."

OOC:Carver and Ryan coming

Jamie had to admit he was surprised and taken aback when Laura spoke her mind. She wasn't going to stand by while he acted like a jealous boyfriend over a girl he didn't even date.If that was his plan that she didn't want to stay and watch it.Jamie was stunned into silence for a moment. He had been around Laura alot since he had woken up in the hospital, getting to know her again. He thought he owed that much to her.And he had thought he was really starting to get to know her but this moment..it was the most grown up he had seen her.In that one moment, she wasn't at all little Laura Spencer, the one he remembered. No,this Laura was grown up and a woman, not a little girl. After Laura was finished, she shook off the former tone and asked him if he wanted to dance. He wondered if she could tell that she had stunned him into silence. All he could manage to do was stumble over the word yes.He took her by the hand loosely and led her to the dance floor. Now that Molly had given her speech welcoming everyone, music was starting to play and people were beginning to dance.Jamie placed his arms in perfect position and began to dance with Laura to the music, still a bit speechless. As the song continued,he began to loosen up alittle.

"Don't worry. You won't have to take the boat back tonight,"he assured her,not saying much.He might hate Eric but Ridley already knew that and there was nothing more he could do.And as far as he and Ridley went,he had come to terms with the fact that he had feelings for her but things were complicated and no matter who he was in those years he didn't remember,he wasn't the kind of guy who broke up a relationship and if Ridley wanted to be with Eric,Jamie was going to have to accept it.He hated the idea of that but he wasn't going to just let her fall out of his life because of this. And Laura was right. He wasn't her boyfriend. And so all he could do was speak his mind and hope she listened.Tonight,he came with Laura and so he should focus solely on her,not Ridley. And so that's what he was planning on doing.

"You know you're lucky I still remember all the dance moves my mom taught me as a kid,"he told Laura with a smile. The comment brought his mind elsewhere though. It made him think of what had happened at the Haunted Star not that long ago.He still didn't know how to come to terms with it.He saw her.He saw her like he saw Laura now.And she spoke to him.And yet why hadn't he told anyone...not even Constance who would understand more than anyone? Because it couldn't be.He had to be seeing things.Jamie was a realist and his mother was dead.He had to accept that fact. And yet...he couldn't help but think of that night and wonder.

Honestly,Molly had no idea what Ridley was going to say to her.She was glad that at least Carver was gone.Molly bet he thought that he had some upper hand tonight...but he was solely mistaken and to tell the truth,Molly hadn't felt this alive in a long time.Tonight she felt like she could breathe again. These past months had been like hell for her.She was not only lying to the people she loved but she was powerless.Carver was holding her whole life over her.Molly had always been an extremely independent person. But for these past few months, she had felt like she was prisoner, like she was weak..like she was not herself. But all of that was going to change tonight.Looking into Ridley's eyes,Molly could see she was being honest and open. She missed Molly. They weren't supposed to be like this.Molly had come back to Port Charles after so long and now they were like this? "I miss you too,"Molly said simply, agreeing. She didn't want to be at odds with her sister.Molly had been happy to escape Port Charles at 16 but she did miss watching her sisters grow up and being around them. She had stayed in touch somewhat of course but it wasn't the same thing.

She missed alot of things. She missed Leigha's sixteenth birthday or Ridley's high school graduation...and she couldn't count how many things she missed in Kristina's life. And yet, here she was back with them and lying to all of them.It wasn't' right. They were her family. And yet not only was she trying to protect them but she also...she feared that once she told them, they would never see her the same way again. It's not like being a con artist was some random profession. She stole from people, she hurt people, she destroyed lives. And the worst part was that while doing it,she never had any second thoughts. It wasn't until Carver betrayed her that she got her wake up call. She came back to Port Charles to be different,to live the life she wanted to live.Everyone...her father, her sisters, all the naysayers now were so proud of her and she just feared that once she told the truth, that would all change.

That's why when Ridley was asking her point blank to tell her the truth about Carver,Molly couldn't find the courage to do it.She let a silence hang between them. She hated saying what she was about to say,"Ridley...look...I'm glad you're starting to have doubts about Eric.I mean...I'm glad you're starting to open your eyes, ask questions. But I just...I can't...I know you're going to hate me for it but I can't tell you what you want to hear.If you could just trust me..." She knew Ridley had heard that a million times.Molly wore a dejected look on her face. She wished she could say something different. But she couldn't.

This was not going well.He could tell Audrey was hurt. How could she not be? Gavin just wanted to wrap his arms around her and be able to take it all back, tell her he didn't mean any of it.But the problem was that he did.He knew he wasn't putting it in the best words or even asking her for something that was easy or logical. He still wanted to be with her.How could he not? But he just...he didn't want her to think that things just went back to how they used to be because they couldn't."I know you think I'm just some fragile girl but there comes a point when you have to realize I don't need your protection..And I certainly don't need you protecting me from yourself..I..What do you think that I'm just not strong enough to handle it? That I'm not messed up or warped enough to be around you or...or just to understand you?" Gavin shook his head.He didn't think she was fragile."No..I don't think you're like that.I know you're strong. You're one of the strongest people I know,"I tried to assure her.But he didn't know how to explain it to her.He was never good with words. He never had been.

"I just...look,Audrey,you were there. You were there on the roof that night.I almost killed myself.I was standing on the side of a building, ready to jump.I mean...I can tell you...how I felt...I was ready. If Logan had pulled me back,I would have jumped. And you know what? That's ****i-I mean...that's scary,"he started,"And do you think you can jump right in and handle that when I'm not even sure I can? I mean let's say hypothetically,I have a bad day...I don't want to take my pills..and I start throwing things around..I smash up my apartment again. What if I say something that hurts you? What if,god, what if I physically hurt you? I won't know what I'm doing until it's already done." Maybe part of him was pushing her away but he also thought she didn't realize the severity of all of this. She'd seen him get angry but part of him, thought in her mind she saw what happened on the roof as a one time thing. And yes,he hoped it was.But he couldn't be sure.He would never be able to be sure.

And it made him think of before he went up to the roof that night...when he had been alone with Lainey.Lainey was one of the strongest people he knew. She was tough as nails, that girl. But what he did that night..breaking bottles right infront of her, loosing control like he did...he could see the fear even in her eyes.So how was Audrey supposed to deal with the possibility of that happening again? "Look, part of me is being a good guy for once and try to protect you but part of me is doing this for selfish reasons too because I don't want you to stay with me,change your future because of me and then end up regretting it and resenting me for it.I don't want us to end but it's never going to be like it was.It never will be,"he finished.

Come with me Into the trees
Well lay on the grass
And let the hours pass
Take my hand, Come back to the land
Lets get away Just for one day

Lainey let out a small gasp as he pushed her against the door to close it. She smiled in between their kisses, pulling him closer as things quickly grew more intense. He slipped his tongue out along her bottom lip to tease her. It was kind of cute in a way..Almost like he was asking permission to kiss her deeper even though he knew he didn't have to. She responded with force, capturing his mouth and deepening the kiss..Patience never did come easy for this Alcazar. A soft moan escaped her lips as his hand crept under her short silky dress allowing his hand to run along the inside of her thigh. With a little assistance from him Lainey quickly lifted her dress over her head to caught up in him to give a damn where it landed on the floor. Jumping up into his arms her legs automatically wrapped themselves tightly around his waist. Her lips quickly found his again. Her arms moved around his waist as she slipped her tongue back in his mouth kissing him just the way he liked it. She ran her fingers through his hair never breaking their kiss while he began moving backwards towards the couch located on the other side of the room. “Mmm..” Lainey mumbled against his lips just before they crashed down together on the couch behind them. “Your going to make me wanna stay locked in here with you all night. Aren’t you?” Lainey joked as she ran her fingers along his chest “You can try but…“ She climbed upward so she was on a better position on top his chest and within reach of his lips. “It’s going to take some convincing.“ She whispered before losing the distance between them and kissing him hungrily.

Let me see you Stripped down to the bone
Let me see you Stripped down to the bone
Metropolis has nothing on this
Youre breathing in fumes I taste when we kiss

Unable to get his clothes off fast enough she helped him remove his suit coat and then went for his shirt, followed by his pants.. They probably needed to talk about some things but sex was far more appealing to her. She’s never been your average girl and thank God for that because never could Lainey imagine herself like one of those girly girls like Audrey Smith or Laura Spencer. They were the cheerleaders and homecoming and prom queens of the school where as Lainey was more of a rebel. She marched to beat of her own drum, she flirted with all the guys and slept with half of them not really giving a damn what people said about her. Who cares if all the girls called her a slut at least she wasn’t a Marcia freaking Brady. They were just jealous anyways not to mention bitter over the attention most of their boyfriends gave her. Pfft..Boyfriend. She couldn’t recall having one like ever. The only reason the word was even in her vocabulary was because she's happened to have stolen quite her share of other girls boyfriends over the years.

Let me see you Stripped down to the bone
Let me see you Stripped down to the bone
Let me hear you Make decisions withoutithout your television
Let me hear you speaking
Just for me

Truth be told Lainey didn’t have any idea what Sebastian and her were. He wasn’t her boyfriend but unlike most guys she’s been with she was nowhere near bored with him yet. He was too much of an enigma to her to ever be boring and besides she was having too much fun to want it end so soon. She may not know what this sneaking around thing they were doing was or why they were doing it..but she knew one thing and that was that she wasn’t ready for it to end. Sebastian was different than most of the guys she’s been with..She actually likes him. Did that mean she was ready to call him boyfriend or hold hands in public or buy him a teddy bear that says I love you very much? Hell no. For starters that last one was something she would never do and secondly that just wasn’t the type of her girl she was. But for now she was just going keep on enjoying whatever this thing was and not over analyze it because really they were just having fun anyways, right? Yeah. That’s all it was.

Audrey shook her head as Gavin told her no. She was one he strongest person he knew. "Then act like it. Stop treating me like I'm made of glass just..Tell me what you want!" She exclaimed, throwing her arms forward to express her hurt and confusion. 'I just...look,Audrey,you were there. You were there on the roof that night.I almost killed myself.I was standing on the side of a building, ready to jump.I mean...I can tell you...how I felt...I was ready. If Logan had pulled me back,I would have jumped. And you know what? That's ****i-I mean...that's scary.' Audrey bit down on her bottom lip hard, blinking back the tears that threatened to fall. She remembered everything that went down that night. How could she forget? Watching him walk on the ledge of the roof, the way he tempted fate like he did..It was the most scared she'd ever been in her entire life. She looked at him as he went on and as he did it was then she realized how scared he really was. Scared of hurting her. 'What if I say something that hurts you? What if,god, what if I physically hurt you? I won't know what I'm doing until it's already done.' Audrey shook her head. "You could never do that, I know you Gavin and I know that could never happen..Please don't push me away." She pleaded while her eyes searched his trying to figure out what he wanted.

Did he want them to stay together and work through everything togther?..Or did he want them to take a break from each other or something? 'Look, part of me is being a good guy for once and try to protect you but part of me is doing this for selfish reasons too because I don't want you to stay with me,change your future because of me and then end up regretting it and resenting me for it.I don't want us to end but it's never going to be like it was.It never will be.'"So what..You just want to give up? You Gavin, your the one that convinced me what we had was worth fighting for and if you need me you to convince you that's still true now..Then fine I will, I'll do what ever I have to do to show you that I'm with you. I know you are and I want to be with you." Audrey let a small sigh, her eyes softening as she reached forward and took his hand. She brought it close to her heart and went on. "Not going to NYU this fall was my choice...I can go to school there anytime and if I never do I don't care okay I don't care. I care about you and us and Laura and my family..I..Port Charles is where I want to be right now, okay? I'm in love with you Gavin..I want us to be together." She tried to explain to him, hoping to soothe his worries and assure him she could never resent him or regret being with him..Not ever. After kissing his fingertips she brought his hand up to her cheek, leaning into his touch for a moment before leaning forward to give him a soft kiss.

When she pulled back she used her hand to wipe away a stray tear that had fallen and managed to give him a weak smile. She was about to say something when she saw who other than Hal Cassadine retreating down a hallway. It was him. It was really him..She recognized him from the picture she found of her mothers. As his figure went out of view she felt as though she had to go after him. This was her chance. Possibly her only chance she'd have tonight to talk alone with him. Her parents were here after all and if they knew she was here. She didn't even want to think about what they'd say. "Listen..There's something I need to do..But I really want to talk and figure this out." Audrey sighed. "Find me later..Please." She finished as she started backing away. She looked at him for a moment longer before turning to quickly make her way down the hallway she saw Hal walking down a seconds ago.

As much as she had wanted to stay with Gavin..and she did, she really did. She needed to do this. She needed to find out who her brother was and why her parents were so strict about her staying away from him. Unfortunately for her when she reached the end of the hallway she saw there were two ways to go and hadn't a clue which way he went. "Perfect..Just perfect." Just picking one she soon found herself entering a dark, spacious room. She didn't know why she picked that room to go into..It was just a feeling she had. She couldn't explain it. As the door closed behind her she heard another noise on the other side of the room near the desk. "Hello..?" Audrey called out as she slowly and cautiously walked further into the room. She could feel another presence in the dark unlit room but she wasn't sure if it was her brother or not.Tag Hal

It was her. It was really Reese..Standing right in front of her alive and healthy. She was real..Like Constance she was real and not just a dream or a figment of the blonde's imagination. She wasn't just seeing things. It was really Jamie's mother. Constance felt herself becoming overwhelmed with both happiness and confusion as she stared at the woman she hadn't seen for years. She looked down for a moment, still stunned, when Reese made mention of her mother telling her she looked just as beautiful as her. Constance smiled softly and without another word she marched over and hugged her. How could she not? She was alive! She was really alive. "I can't believe it's you." She cried, holding the hug for a few moments longer before pulling back. "Your look Iike just like I remember you." She said softly with a small smile. "Your really here..But how? How is this possible?" Constance asked in disbelief, the small smile still present on her face as she looked at her. This was so unreal..But in a really good way. If she didn't know any better she'd wonder if because Reese was actually alive maybe it was possible her mother was too..But that wasn't possible. Her father told her everything that happened that tragic night. She not only saw the grief and heartbreak all over her fathers face every time she looked at him but after it happened she saw her mothers body and so did a lot of people seeing as how her funeral went down as one of the biggest in Port Charles history. She remember bailing early and just being so lost at the time. It was the first time she experimented with drugs and the start to a fierce addiction that she ended up having to overcome not just once but twice. It was a struggle she's lived with for years. In a way the temptation was always there. But she was happy now. Chase and her were happy together despite the fact they couldn't have a child like they wanted and her relationship with Jamie was strong again for the most part and she was stronger than she'd been in a long time. But she knew better than to be foolish enough to have false hope about her mom. As much as she wished it were possible, there was no way she could be alive. People use to say the same about Reese but that was different..somehow it was different because Reese wasn't dead. She was standing right in front of her.

"What about Jamie?" Constance suddenly asked, her best friend coming to mind. Did he know? No..He couldn't know. He would have told her if he had known about something this big..Wouldn't he? They always could come to each other about anything no matter what. It was true things had been a little different since he woke up from the coma. But she thought they were getting back to the way they use to be…That he knew he could still trust her with anything. Her being married to Chase didn’t change that. Nothing ever would. Maybe he didn’t know…Or maybe he did and went to somebody else for advice. Somebody like Ridley..Maybe she’s the one he feels like he can confide in now..The only one. Constance quickly shook her head of suck thoughts not even wanting her mind to go there. “Does he know?..I mean have you seen him?” Constance asked. The last thing she wanted to do was bombard her with questions but she needed to know. She needed to know if Jamie knew because he didn’t then he needed to know..And if he did know then she needed to talk to him and see where his head was at with all of this. As different as things have been between them after everything that happens one thing remained the same and as far as she was concerned it always would. Jamie needs her. He needs her like she needs him and she will be there for him to talk to about this no matter what.

OOC: Natalie coming tomorrow and maybe Ridley too

OOC: A post from Libby during the week? A rare treat indeed! Thank my lame professor who has yet to put the powerpoint up online I need to do homework with.

Constance was stunning. Reese couldn't believe that the teenage girl she had loved as one of her own was now so grown up. She was a woman, but as she stared at Reese in excitement memories of serving her and Jamie chocolate chip cookies as they studied came back into focus. She could still see the two of them teasing each other and flirting on the couch when she walked in to see how far they'd progressed on their assignment. Many parents would have scolded the duo and told them to get straight back to work, but Reese allowed them to be children. She'd teased them for being so close on the couch, of course, but she'd brought them a snack and told them to enjoy each other. She'd called Carly on the phone later that night to talk about their future family ties. Everyone knew that Jamie and Constance were a perfect match, and from what Reese had seen on the dance floor she was more than certain it'd been her son in Constance's arms. Reese was brought back into the moment when Constance's arms wrapped around her tightly. "Oh, sweetie."

Reese hugged her back with a wram smile. She'd missed Constance, and Jamie...and Port Charles. She missed her home. Once Jason's daughter had composed herself, she asked Reese how any of this was possible. She'd gone to her funeral. "It's complicated," Reese answered. It was the best she could do for the moment. She didn't want to endanger Constance by saying too much. She accepted the answer tentatively, but then her concerns went to Jamie. Had Reese spoken with her son yet? If he didn't know she was alive they had to go to him. "I saw him on the Haunted Star a few weeks ago, Constance. I don't think he believed it was me really. He's probably convinced himself I was an illusion by now." Constance didn't want him to know otherwise now. Her run in with him had been accidental and if the people watching her knew Jamie had spotted her, well, she didn't want to consider what might happen. "How is he Constance?" Reese wanted to know everything about her son, even if she couldn't directly ask him herself. Constance knew him better than anyone. "How's your life together?" Reese asked, nodding towards the wedding band on Constance's left hand. "Are you two happy?"

This was it..Molly's big chance to prove to her why Eric was no good for her. What was wrong with him? Why did she and Jamie think he was such a bad guy. Even Tasha had believed so, she never bothered hiding her distain for Ridley’s boy All Ridley wanted was for her to be honest. She just needed to tell her the truth that was it..But she couldn't do it. She still couldn't do it. After voicing how glad she was that Ridley was opening her eyes and starting to have doubts as she described it, Molly said two words her sister really didn't want to hear. 'I can't.' Sighing, Ridley was ready to fight her sister on it and demand she tell her why not when Molly went on. 'I know you're going to hate me for it but I can't tell you what you want to hear.If you could just trust me.' She shook her head, hurt by her sisters words. Doesn't she realize how much of hypocrite she is being? "I don't hate you Molly. I could never hate you. Your my sister I love I just..I don't understand." Ridley looked away for a moment, forcing back the tears she knew were coming.

"I mean how can you expect me to trust you when you clearly don't trust me." If Molly trusted her she would have just told her by now but she hasn't..She won't. She refuses to tell her why she doesn't want her with Eric. "Do you realize that your leaving me with no choice? How can I not trust him and believe him when you can't find a way to trust me enough to tell my why he's so wrong for me." Unable to keep her tears or frustration in check any longer, Ridley let out an aggravated sigh. "I am getting so sick of everybody telling me how horrible he is while having nothing solid to back it up with. I mean God Molly he can't be that dangerous or bad if you let me be with him for this long...Right? If he's so dangerous and so awful like you and Jamie and everyone says he is.." Ridley paused for only a second. "Then you would have told me the truth by now, you would have told me whatever it is your keeping from me. Because I know you and I know you would never let me let my guard down and open my heart to someone like that..Someone you know could hurt me.." Blinking back her tears, she trailed off as she caught sight of Jamie dancing with Laura.

She pursed her lips together somewhat tightly and bit down on her lower lip thinking somehow that pain would make seeing him with her hurt less..somehow. As much as she really really didn‘t like Laura Spencer deep down Ridley knew a big part of her was jealous of the self centered blonde. Not really of her but more of what she gets to have. Jealous of the years she had with Jamie and how during that time she probably had his heart more than anyone else…Jealous that she was the one given such a gift as having Jamie’s child was..and what a gift it would be. One she would cherish and love and never take for granted if she were in Laura’s shoes. Don’t get her wrong, the thought of being a mother use to terrify her and in someways it still did. But since Drake came was born and she’s spent so much time being around him and taking care of him…She realized if that day ever came for her she might not be such a terrible mother after all. She was good with him in a way she never expected to be. And lastly she was jealous over the simple fact that it was inevitable that Laura and Jamie would be together again. Maybe fear was a better word for that one. With the baby in the picture it only solidified Ridley’s fears of them getting together again…If they weren’t already. And it just confirmed that keeping any feelings she had for Jamie underwraps and to herself was probably the right choice. Ridley tore her eyes away from the dancing couple not wanting Jamie to catch her staring..Or Molly either for that matter.

Natalie nodded at Trent glad to hear him say he understood what she was trying to say.. 'And let's just say that I feel the same way about being a cop too.' He added, offering her his arm after giving the man at the door their invitations. Although hesitating at first, Natalie took his arm and walked inside the spacious mansion with him. As much as she denied it to him and herself this was a date. There was no other word for it. He asked her to come with him and after turning him down time and time before she finally said yes or fine, she couldn't remember her exact words when accepting his invitation to accompany him. And despite how many times in that week she picked up the phone to cancel she never ended up actually doing it. He bought her flowers, he told her she looked beautiful, opened the car door for her and now offered his arm. It was definitely a date. No matter how long she'd been out of practice she could still recognize the signs. She hadn't been on a date since she'd been with Michael. They use to pick one night every week and they would call it their night. Usually it was a Friday but sometimes it ended up being on a Sunday or Tuesday. Sometimes they'd go to a restaurant or stay home together or something but usually they just went to Jake's for pool, burgers, and beer. She loved her junk food alright. Jakes was more her type of place than the Metro Court or Mario's and it was for Michael too. After all, that bar was where they first met each other. She played a lot of games of pool and danced with him by the jukebox a many of times since the few years she's lived in Port Charles. She wished he was here. That he hadn't felt the need to leave the Country and go further away from his family than ever before. If he only knew how much she misses him. It's not just here and there or every now and then. Missing him. It’s constant. As in..She misses him all the time.

"Well to be honest...I've never been too fond of cops.." She finally responded, laughing slightly at the 'ya think?' look he gave her. "What? It's not my fault. The law just doesn't like me very much.." Natalie defended herself. "And most the time I don't like it either. Which you probably already know given some of my past transgressions." She joked with a teasing smile as they walked into the main ballroom. "But..I'm having a good time tonight so far." She admitted with a light shrug. It was good for her to get out for a night..The other nurses would be proud since according to them staying in as much as she does is unhealthy. Looking around the room she took in the scenary. The place looked absolutely stunning. Michael’s cousin really outdid herself. She was mesmerized by lavish decor and all the different colored incredible dresses and masks. Growing up where she did she was never really privileged to these type of places but she use to dream of what it would be like if she was. That’d she meets some prince charming that would sweep her off her feet. In more ways than one she got her wish when she fell in love with Michael. As cliché and cheesy at it sounded he was the prince charming she always dreamed of…Too bad she didn’t get the happily after that’s suppose to come along with it. As much as she missed him and wanted him to come home to her she was hurt deeply over the fact that he never asked her to go with him. Caroline, Michael and her could have started over somewhere. Didn’t he want that? Didn’t he want them to be a family again? They could have been away from here. Away from the danger and the violence. But he said he had to go on his own which makes it seem like he wanted to start over but not with her and not with Caroline but by himself. What else was she suppose to think with the way he left? It’s not like he called or wrote or kept in touch with her anyway to tell her she was wrong. He didn’t even tell her where he was going or if he would ever come back. Sighing softly, Natalie forced thoughts of Michael to the back of her mind. She had to stop thinking about him it wasn’t doing anyone any good. He was gone. She just had to find a way to accept that. But for someone who was use to fighting back and never giving up like Natalie was. It just wasn’t easy. It was just really hard letting go of him when she could still feel him in so many ways.

Constance raised an eyebrow when she said it was complicated. What exactly did she mean by that? In what way what it complicated? And then it dawned on her...Was Reese in some sort of trouble? "Complicated..What do you mean are you in some kind of danger or something?" Constance asked with worry evident in her features. She was about to go on and explain that if that was the case their were ways to keep her safe but Reese spoke again first changing the subject and choosing that moment to answer her questions about Jamie. He did know. She saw him a couple months back on the Haunted Star. It must have been the night of Chase's re-opening. Constance was there that night to why hadn't she seen her? Given the way she way trying to remain hidden tonight Constance could only assume she was doing the same on the night she was on the Haunted Star and ever since she'd been back..That made Constance wonder. How long had she been back in Port Charles and why was she being so hush hush about it? There had to be a reason. A reason why she's stayed away for so long, why she never let her family know she was indeed alive. The Reese Constance remembered would never be able to stay away from her son unless somehow she was being forced to. Before Constance had a chance to ask her what she was thinking, Reese asked her how Jamie was followed by something else Constance entirely wasn't expecting.

'How's your life together?' She thought..She thought they ended up together. Constance smiled sadly as Reese asked her if they're happy nodding towards the ring on her finger. "I..Oh Reese. Jamie and I..We never ended up together." Constance was honest with Reese, her voice soft with a hint of sadness in it. She played with her wedding ring, nervous habit, shrugging her shoulders softly as she went on. "A lot happened after my mother passed..and then you...I was really lost for awhile and I..It just never happened for us." She admitted, not sure how Reese would react. Especially when she tells her just who she is married to. She knows how her husband feels about Reese and she just assumed the feeling was mutual..It's not like Chase had many friends in this town. "But we're still best friends..and close." For the most part anyways. It was taking time maybe more than she thought it would but things were slowly going back to normal between them..Or at least as normal as they could be given everything. “I’m not going to lie…He’s been going through a lot lately…I mean a lot has happened to him.” Constance paused for a moment unable to hide the sadness and guilt in her eyes. “He needs you Reese…Now more than ever.”

Constance's curious nature use to be a trait Reese admired, but concerning her situation now it was something she did not look forward to. Reese had been able to divert the conversation towards Jamie, but how long before Constance asked her again why she was hiding in the shadows? Reese was happy to see Carly's daughter, but at the same time she wished this encounter could have been avoided. It was easier being invisible, no matter how painful that was. Reese was eager to learn about the life Constance and Jamie had made together, but when Constance's eyes reflected sadness her excitement faded. "You are together..." she trailed off, fearful of the answer. When Constance shook her head no Reese was in disbelief. Her son had worshiped the ground Constance Morgan walked on. How had he not gone after her? It just didn't make sense at all. When Constance explained that her life had taken a different direction after her mother's death Reese tried her best to be objective. Of course she would have her reasons. Reese had heard about Carly's passing and it still pained her to think of her friend dying in such a way. She had done it for love, for Jason. Reese could do nothing other than to admire that devotion. She would have done the same thing for Lorenzo. Thinking of her husband sent mixed emotions through Reese. She missed his voice, his arms around her so warm and safe...everything.

She had yet to see him since her timid return to Port Charles. Maybe that was for the best. Reese wasn't sure she could stop herself from going to him if he were to cross her path. It was funny to think that she had started off pining after Sonny Corinthos, because in the end the only man who had ever captured her heart was Lorenzo Alcazar. Constance assured Reese that Jamie and her were still best friends despite their inability to connect romantically and she smiled, happy at least for that information. Those two would always be part of each others lives. "Who then gave you that ring?" Constance averted her eyes and mentioned how Jamie needed his mother so much. He was experiencing a lot of difficult things at the moment. Concern for her son outweighed Reese's questions about Constance's husband for the time being, but she wondered why Constance hadn't answered happily about the man she loved. "What's happened with him, Constance? When I saw him he had this lost look. It wasn't how I remembered him...it scared me." Reese knew Jamie needed her as much as she needed him, but she just couldn't. It wasn't that easy. For now, having Constance tell her about her son was the best option available.

'Who then gave you that ring?' Constance hesistated for a moment, unsure of how to answer her."It's complicated.." She began worried if she told her Reese wouldn't understand. Jamie didn't when he first woke up.They didn't tell him right away because the doctors were specific about how fragile his mind set was and how it was better that they ease into any of the major changes he didn't remember. They told him about Reese first and then later on the day Jamie was being released, Constance went to pick him up by herself.Instead of taking him right to his apartment, somewhere completely unfamiliar to him at the time. Constance suggested they go for a walk. That was when told him. Even though she had expected him to be surprised by it all, she wasn't prepared for the reaction she got. Constance was still just a girl when she got married, she was only eighteen years old...And although this was something Chase rarely ever did..He asked Jamie for permission. Before he ever asked Constance, before the two of them got married, Chase asked him for permission and he gave it to him.Of course Jamie didn't remember that and he was confused and hurt, unable to comprehend how his brother and best friend could be married. Constance would never forget his face or the things he said to her that day..Especially the part about their homecoming dance and the necklace he'd bought her..And how he was going to tell her he loved her that night. The reason that never happened was because that was the same night her mother died and news of what happened to her beloved mother spread quicker than fire, before they could even make it to the dance. The sole reason she and Jamie have never been together like that was because of bad timing..Something was always in the way and then she fell in love with Chase and he did the same with Laura. If only there was an easy way to explain all of that..It might be easier to tell her about her and Chase if she had any idea how Reese would react but she didn't..She had no idea.

'What's happened with him, Constance? When I saw him he had this lost look. It wasn't how I remembered him...it scared me.' Reese asked, bringing Constance out of her thoughts. "He never told you, did he?...I..Maybe you should sit down." She started, motioning to the piano not far from them before moving to sit down on the bench herself. Leaving some room for Reese, she began to tell her about fire. "Six months ago or so there was a fire at the MetroCourt hotel. Jamie made it out of there safe but I didn't..And when he realized that I was still in there he ran back in to get me." Constance let out a deep breath, feeling herself tear up from the memories of that night. “I was out like a light…Surrounded by debris and fire and smoke..And Jamie found me. He carried me to the safest place he could find and woke me up.” She smiled softly as she remembered their little talk in the room before finding the vent. “He found us a way out and when we were almost there…Almost to the door I heard something crumbling above me and looked up…He pushed me out of the way and the next thing I knew I was on the ground and he…He was trapped under a beam. He saved my life Reese, if it weren't for Jamie I might not be here right now. He didn't think about himself or what might happen to him..He just did it.” She whispered with a softly. She was forever grateful to her best friend for what he did that night and so much more. He's done more for her than anybody in her life ever has.

Constance looked at Reese, knowing how hard it must be to hear this..It was hard just telling it. “I was able to get us out of there..But he was hurt really badly. So much so that it put him in a coma for weeks.” She could remember everything that happened like it was yesterday. Granted it wasn’t all the long ago but she remembered every single detail. “When he woke up he lost part of his memory. He can’t remember the last six years of his life. He didn’t remember what happened to you or my mother or..There’s a lot of things he didn’t remember. A lot happened in those six years...He's okay, it's just taking time to adjust to everything.” She tried to explain, preparing Reese for what would come next. It was going to come up again sooner or later and she wanted to be honest with her. She’s not ashamed of who she married. She loves her husband and despite the fact that she knew Reese, a woman’s whose opinion she valued highly, might be disappointed in her that didn’t change the fact that Chase is her husband and she will defend him til the end. It's not always easy being married to Chase and they've have their fair share of rough times but what married couple didn't? She made her choice five years ago when she said I do and she didn't regret it. Chase may be insufferable and selfish and arrogant and completely impossible a not small portion of the time but he had her heart and nothing would change that. “Reese…There’s something else you should know” Gulping slightly, Constance pushed a stray curl out of her eyes. “It’s Chase…Chase is who I'm married to...”

Trent
As she took his arm and they proceeded to the party, he couldn't help but think about the fact that Natalie was finally going out with him. He understood that she would always love her husband, but he was just glad that he went out with her tonight, even if nothing but friendship - not even that, comes out of it.
"Well to be honest...I've never been too fond of cops.."
He gave her a look and then he smiled a fraction. You could probably say that it was because he knew that she wasn't too fond of them.
"What? It's not my fault. The law just doesn't like me very much..And most the time I don't like it either. Which you probably already know given some of my past transgressions."
He nodded. It was pretty obvious, and he wished he could tell her that a cop wasn't the only thing he was, but that would just blow his cover and he didn't want that. The point was that she would date him thinking he was a cop and only a cop and if by the end of the night, she changed her opinion of them, all the power to him.

"Good, I'm glad," he responded as they went into the main ballroom referring to her comment about her having a good time so far. "Well, the night is still young and we just got here, so hopefully you will have a better time."
Trent saw that she was in a daze and wanted to help her, having an inkling of who she might be thinking about. He didn't know the guy personally, but he had heard stuff about him from Natalie and also from other people around town he had gotten to know over the years.
"Actually, I know you will have a better time," he remarked. "Even though I am a cop - off duty at that, you must trust me, for tonight. So, do you?" he asked with a small chuckle.

When Reese voiced her concerns about Jamie Constance didn’t fight her on the matter, and that’s when her motherly instincts screamed at her that something was off after all. “Constance, what happened to him?” Reese’s voice was soft but desperate. She needed to know what her son was going through. Maybe somehow she could help if she just knew the cause of the problem. Constance indicated that it was a long story and Reese looked around as if to say ‘I have nowhere else to be.’ When Constance asked her to take a seat she hesitated, but only briefly. “Alright.” She lifted her dress up, careful to avoid tripping, and situated herself near the dust covered piano. Constance began by telling Reese about a fire that had raged across the Metro Court six months back. It had been a horrible experience for everyone involved. Constance confessed that most people escaped without injury, but she’d found herself trapped inside. “Oh, honey.” Reese’s concern for Constance was genuine as she reached out to take her hand. “But you’re ok now, right?” Constance nodded slowly but it was clear that she wasn’t finished. Jamie had gone back inside for her. She’d only survived because of his courage that day. Reese felt a great sense of pride at the man she and Lorenzo had raised.

It was just like him to take on the role of hero. Especially where Constance was concerned. Jamie had rescued her and they were on their way out, through a vent, when part of the building collapsed. Jamie was buried under the rubble and Constance had to drag him to safety. Reese felt a familiar panic, one other a mother could understand, rising in her chest. Jamie had been injured? He’d looked in good health when she’d seen him but maybe she hadn’t paid close enough attention to detail. “I don’t understand…” Constance explained to Reese that Jamie had been in a coma for almost a month and when he came out he was different. A severe blow to his head had caused memory loss. Reese frowned, still not following. Jamie had recognized her as his mother on the Haunted Star so what was she missing? Constance squeezed Reese’s hand tight before telling her Jamie had lost six years of his memory. He hadn’t even remembered losing her. He had no recollection of the most important years of his life and he’d been struggling ever since. “Oh my God.” Reese couldn’t even begin to imagine what her son was going through. If she woke up one day not remembering him or Lorenzo, well, she couldn’t even bear to think about that. He must be so lost right now.

“I…I didn’t know.” Reese drew a deep breath, guilt setting in as she processed the full weight of what Constance had told her. Her child was confused and trying to rebuild his life and she was hiding behind closed doors instead of helping. It wasn’t fair, but did she really have a choice? She could see Jamie but she knew what that would mean and the risk was far too great. She couldn’t complicate his life further by involving him in her troubles. She loved him too much to do that to him. “Thank you for telling me.” Constance glanced away from Reese, her eyes once again fixating on her wedding band. When she looked up she told Reese she had something else to share with her. “You know you can tell me anything.” Constance seemed unsure but she forced the words to come out. She’d married Chase Alcazar, Jamie’s half brother. For a few seconds Reese was sure she had hallucinated or heard wrong, but when her eyes took in the serious expression on Constance’s face she knew this was real. Releasing Constance’s hand from her own, Reese stood straight up in disbelief. The disappointment was evident in her features. Constance, who’d been like a daughter to her, had married Skye and Lorenzo’s son? Chase hated her and Jamie couldn’t have been ok with this. Reese was conflicted as to whether she wanted to yell at Constance or just walk away, but in the end she did neither. It wasn’t her decision who another person married, no matter how much she disliked it. “Well, congratulations,” Reese told her with a hardened voice. “I hope you’re happy with him.”
