Degrassi: The Next Generation

Welcome To Degrassi Community School, a place where nothing is as it seems. The most popular cheerleader in your class could be in the middle of a breakdown and you would never notice, your best friend could be gay and so well at hiding it that you almost died when you found out the truth, the schools punk could be even more damaged then you could imagine, the total outcasts could be abusive to his girlfriend, one day you could be a member of the most popular clique in school and due to one bad choice in which resulted with you telling off your friends at a party...you could go from prep to punk with the snap of a finger....

No one is as they appear to be. Everyone has secrets, everyone has a past they wish to hide, everyone has made decisions they regret and know they will regret for the rest of their life. It is a part of being human. You make mistakes you deal and move on. But some people can not do that, and some people don't feel like they made any mistakes, some people think they did nothing wrong.

In Degrassi Community School (grades 7-12 I believe), everyone is hiding something and if they are not hiding it then it is out in the open and tormenting them everyday of their lives, every second they are in this school...

Name:Paige Michalchuk
Age:Sixteen
Personality:Paige has one quality that while many people find to be her worst, she believes is her best and that is that she is brutally blunt. If she has a problem with you, she'll make sure you know it. If she disarees with you, if she thinks what you are wearing is ugly...everything she says and does is because she wants to and its her honest opinion. Paige does not believe in holding back, afterall how else can a person change something if you don't tell them how awful it is? Exactly her point. Paige is one of those girls you either love or hate. She is one of the most popular girls in her grade and even the grades below her, she is pratically the girl that many girls want to be. Especially since she seems so strong and independent. Of course..everyone wears a masks and Paige Michalchuk is no exception. While she comes off as the shallow b*tch of the school, on the inside she is broken. Shattered. Events of the past two years have shattered her causing her to pratically fake everything she says and does. Paige is quickly turning into the one thing she never wants to be, a fraud. While she may have many faults, one of the good qualities about her is while she comes off as shallow and self abosrbed...when it comes to her friends, if any of them are in time of need, if any of them need her she will always be there for them. If anyone were to hurt any of her friends she would make them pay until the day they die.
History:Paige has always been one to keep herself up to date on the fashion, and everything big going on. She was the girl you loved and she loved that. She always wanted to make sure she looked good and that is one thing that she loved about being herself. About two years ago something happened that changed Paige forever. One evening alongside her best friend Hazel, Paige and Hazel went to visit a rival school's party. Paige met a guy named Dean from the schools rival team and the two hit it off, he invited her to a party at his place that night and of course Paige had to go. While at the party her and Dean began talking and finally he led her up to his room. While in his room Paige assumed he just wanted to kiss, she was too young for anything else. But when he pushed her back on the bed...her entire life was changed. He raped her that night. While Paige tried to hide it,. she could not for long. Finally word got around. It was a good thing though because she was losing herself. Two years after the rape happened Paige was finally called to trial, while she was in court pressing charges against Dean...she lost the case. And was forced to live knowing he was out there walking around.
Relationships:Spinner and Paige attended the year end dance together nearly two years ago and had been inseprable ever since. Paige calls Spinner her "honeybee" and while the two never seemed to have any problems, Paige made a mistake. On the night of her trial she purposly crashed Spinners brand new car into Dean's car, totaling his pride and joy. Paige promised Spinner she would make it up to him, she pretty much agreeded to be in debt to him, and has since gotten a job at the local movie theater to get money to pay for repairs..

Name:Gavin *Spinner* Mason
Personality:Spinner has many many many different personalities. His personality seems to change as often as his hair, and that is a lot. When school started in freshman year, Spinner was the class bully. He took pride in picking on the underclassmen, telling them lies, pulling pranks, making them scared of him. He was the guy that enjoyed to cause other people misery and scaring them. As time went on he changed. He went from being the class bully to the class prankster. Which is pretty much the same thing as the bully, only the difference is he does not really pick on anyone in particular, he just enjoys pulling pranks and making them feel stupid. Of course as it says already, his personality does tend to change. Ever since he started dating Paige, Spinner has changed. He has gone from the school prankster to the perfect boyfriend. Always careing and loving Paige, always trying to be there for her. Until she totaled his car and he went from being her honeybee to being a jerk who enjoyed holding her one tiny mistake over her head until the day she dumped him.
History:Spinner does not have much of a known history. He has a normal life, he has a younger adopted sister named Kendra, who is now in eighth grade and at one point had a slight thing with Toby. Spinner did not care too much for it but finally accepted it. He may be a lot of things but he tries to protect his little sister the best way he can. Spinner is in a band called Downtown Sasquatch with Craig, Marco and Jimmy. A few months back they won a battle of the bands contest which rewared them with a chance to record a single in a real recording studio. Spinner has gotten himself into many messes throughout his life. One mess involved jealousy in which he stole his best friend, Jimmy’s I Pod and went on to sell it to some other kid for money to get a sweatshirt. His little scheme costs him his best friend.
Relationships:Spinner has only really had one girl in his life, well one serious girlfriend. For a long time now it has been obvious that Spinner had a crush on Paige Michalchuck, anyone with eyes could see this. When Spinner finally got the nerve to ask Paige out..she ended up canceling the date so she could run off to Dean’s party. Of course Spinner was crushed. Even more so when he found out Paige lied to him about her excuse for canceling the date. When he found out what Dean had done to Paige, Spinner attacked Dean, only to be pulled back by Paige. Finally she asked him to go to the year end dance with her and the two have been inseprable ever since. Ever since Paige totaled his car, things have been a little off between the two of them. Spinner is still a little bit angry that she would trash his brand new car. Recently he has become somewhat friends with Manny Santos, and the two have been seen spending some time together.

Personality:Marco is the kind of guy that everyone wants to be friends with. He’s got the genuine smile, the good heart, not to mention the beautiful hair. Marco is always laughing, he hates to see people sad or upset. He always tries everything he can to make sure those around him are always happy and smiling. Marco is always trying to be there for his friends and for those who mean the most to him. When he was going through a difficult time some time ago he still managed to be there for his friends and did not get too wrapped up in himself to not care. Marco is the kind of guy everyone wishes they knew in high school, the one who will always be there for you no matter what happens, when the world turns their back on you Marco will still be there. No matter what. Loyalty is his strong quality.
History:Marco seems to have lived his entire life sheltered in a way. With a father who has the most closed mind imaginable, and a mother who just seems to be oblivious to pretty much anything it is amazing how open Marco turned out to be. About two years ago Marco discovered something different about himself, something he never imagined would be true. He discovered he was gay. The first person who he admitted his secret too was Ellie, because not only is she his best friend but she was the one person he felt he could trust. Ellie agreeded to continue to pretend to be Marco’s girlfriend as long as he eventually told everyone. While they put on the act for some time, finally when Ellie noticed sparks between Marco and Paige’s older brother Dylan, Ellie insisted that Marco just has to come out already and admit to everyone that he is gay. But he just could not do it. Finally word got out that Marco and Ellie had broken up, and while this was the perfect oppurtunity for Marco to tell everyone his secret..he did not. Spinner set Marco up with Hazel, to help him get over his “breakup” with Ellie. While on the date Marco ran off as he realized he can’t keep this secret. Spinner chased after them and as the two friends almost got into a fight Marco let it slip that he is gay. Spinner’s reaction is exactly what Marco feared the most. He ran off and then for several days after Spinner made Marco’s life hell. When Jimmy found out, he did not treat Marco any differently, it did not bother him at all. And even he tried to talk some sense into Spinner, but failed. It was not until one night while walking alone on his way to meet his friends for a hockey game, where Marco was beat up by some guys because he was gay..that changed everything. Finally when Marco told Spinner why those guys beat on him..things changed a little bit. It took some time but eventually Spinner learned to accept the fact that Marco was gay, and as word got around school..Marco came out. And could not be happier then he is now.
Relationships:Marco has been best friends with Ellie since...well too long to count really. After Ellie finally admitted to Marco that she liked him, he told her the same. And the two agreeded to go on a date. One night while at a friends house, they were alone in a bedroom kissing when Marco seemed weird. Ellie asked him straight out if he was gay..and he finally said he was. While it hurt her, Ellie stood by Marco because he was her friend and she cared. She agreeded with him to pretend to be with him still. Finally after Marco came out, along with some help from Spinner Marco and Dylan began dating. While their first date was a bit awkward...it didn’t change their feelings for one another. Marco and Dylan are now dating.

Name: Craig Manning
Personality:Craig is what some may wish to call..a little bit damaged. While he does have a good heart and has shown it on occasion, Craig has made a lot of mistakes, and those mistakes reflect his personality. He used seems to have done a complete 180 in the past several years. Up and Down...up and down...Craig used to be damaged, in pain..he was hurt badly in his life and he was very emotional at times. But he hid it well. No one really understood the depth of his pain which is why Craig has made some of the choices he has. Craig tries to be funny and nice, open. Craig used to be able to be described as loyal, but due to his past mistakes that is no longer the case. One way to describe him however, is passionate. When Craig gets invested in something, he goes all the way with it. He stops at nothing until he succeeds in what he wants, what he needs for it to come true. He used to be very much into photography, taking pictures of everything, his camera always around his neck...he even had his own darkroom. While he is still into photography, at this point is number one passion, number one priority is music. Music is almost like the most important thing to him, the one thing he will not turn his back on. When Craig gets invested in something..he goes all the way and doesn’t stop until he gets what he wants.
History: For a long time now, Craig has been feeling his fathers wrath. A while ago his mother left his father, and married a man named Joey Jermiah. When she married Joey, Craig stayed at home with his father. Which may not have been the best choice he made. Not too long after her wedding to Joey, his mother died. Leaving Craig all alone with just his father. As it turns out, his father was very abusive to him. He would hit him, yell, scream, scare, threaten Craig until he listened to him. Craig secretly yearned to leave his father behind and run to his step-father Joey, and live with Joey and his little half sister, Angela. Craig was afraid of what his father and Joey would say if they knew that he wanted to see Angela, so instead of telling either of them he would sneak around and see her. Convincing her babysitter to let him spend time with her, making Angela promise not to tell Joey that she saw him. Craig would take pictures of Joey and Angela, and keep them hidden in his darkroom. Everything changed when his father broke into his darkroom one day and spotted a picture that Craig had manipulated. It was a picture of Joey and Angela, of which Craig placed himself in as well with the words Perfect Family written at the bottom. When his father found this, he went crazy on Craig. Leaving him with a nice big bruise. That night Craig decided to run away. With a little help from Sean, Joey found out about what has been happening and found Craig at his mothers grave. Joey convinced Craig to move in with him, and leave his father behind. Craig was finally free of the pain his father had inflicted on him. For a little while, anyways. Until about a year ago. After a few visits with his father without telling anyone, and a fight which resulted in his father hitting him and Craig yelling back...his father drove off in a fit of anger..and died in a car accident. While Craig actually felt releif and free when he found out he was dead, it didn’t change the pain buried deep within him. His father and his mother were dead. Luckily he still has Joey, who is a better father then he could ever ask for.
Relationships:Craig does not have a record of making the best decisions. About two years ago, after a slight crush on Manny Santos occured, Craig asked her out. And on their first date he realized they didn’t really have a lot in common, Manny was just too young for him. But she did not feel that way. Manny clearly loved Craig, After some time, Craig started to date Ashley. And the two were going great. Until the sex issue popped up. Craig may have been pushing Ashley a little bit, and when he finally told her he loved her, she decided she was ready to be with him. In that way. But after Craig made the mistake of telling his friends of the plans he had Ashley had, she pretty much told him it was not going to happen. A heartbroken Craig ran into Manny, who was actually pretty willing to sleep with him. After that night Craig continued to sneak around behind Ashley’s back with Manny, and when she found out she dumped him. Publicly. Painfully. Of course that one night had a result to it. Manny found out she was pregnant, and Craig was the father. After eventually getting used to and actually enjoying the idea of being a father himself, Manny went ahead and well decided not to have the baby. Without asking Craig first. As of now things between Craig and Manny are not so great, and all Craig wants is Ashley back. But how can he get her back if she won’t even talk to him?

Personality:Ashley has gone from the preppy, goody-two shoes girl always doing the right thing, straight A student, to the punk emo girl who wrote depressing songs and went from being popular to a social outcast. She used to be the girl that was a perfectionist, always trying her best to make sure everything was as perfect as possible. Straight A’s, her hair perfect, everything about her, everything she did had to be perfect. She couldn’t stand it if it wasnt. That is until one event, one accident changed who Ashley was. After she became a social outcasts, shunned by her closest friends..Ashely turned well..gothic basically. She hated herself for what she did and decided she needed a change. She changed her clothes, her personality basically everything she was, she changed. She had the morbid thing down pretty well, until as time went on she lightened up a bit, but Spinner calls her the “Queen Of Doom” which seemed quiet fitting.
History:Ashley had the perfect family in many ways. Two amazing parents, who she loved more then anything. She was popular, had a good reputation, hung out with the coolest people in her grade, best friends with the most popular girl, straight A student, a great boyfriend...until everything began to unraval. Her parents divorced, her father came out of the closet, her mother re-married, and she made a big mistake. One night while her mother and step father were out of town, leaving Ashley and her step brother Toby alone with the house...Ashley and Toby had some friends over. One of Toby’s friends brought ecstacy to the party, which Ashley somehow found before her. After Paige told her she needs to lighten up, Ashley hesitated but finally decided to take the plunge, she took the small pill and swallowed it. After that well..it proved to be the worst mistake of her entire life. While she was on the drug, she ran into Sean Cameron who had just had his heart crushed, and even though she was dating Jimmy Brooks, she still made out with Sean that night. And when jimmy saw Sean walking out of her bedroom with her behind him, he freaked out. Ashley told Jimmy she had planned on dumping him a while ago anyways and basically told him it was over. While Paige tried to defend Jimmy, Ashley called Paige a hag...after that she lost it all. Her boyfriend, her friends, her perfect status...she went from prep to goth...Ashley never thought she would get her friends back, but when Paige admitted to her that she was raped, Ashley was there for her. Which reformed the bond the two friends once shared. While Ashley helped Paige through the ordeal, Paige let Ashley back into her circle of friends. And everything was getting better. Ashley’s gothic mood lightened up a bit and she became more emo then goth..but never went back to Perfect Little Ashley.
Relationships:For as long as anyone can remember, Ashley had been dating Jimmy Brooks. They seemed to be the perfect couple, always together and everything. Ashley of course decided that she wanted to end the relationship with Jimmy, and while she planned on doing it on his birthday, she couldn’t do it. So after she took the ecstacy she bascially put a nail in the coffin that was Jimmy and Ashley. Although they did eventually get back together after Ashley had gone goth, she realized that Jimmy had been wanting her to go back to the way she dressed before they broke up. Ashley did not want to change herself again, and ended it with Jimmy. Finally she formed a relationship with Craig Manning, the one person who did not want to change her at all. As she quickly fell in love with him she could not have been happier. Until she found out Craig had cheated on her. After that Ashley has pretty much decided she hated men, recently Craig as been attempting to get her to talk to him, but the pain is still too deep.

Personality:Ellie has always been the girl who could not give a damn what others think about her. If someone did not like her, Ellie would just shrug it off and continue on her way. She doesn’t care if people like her or not, she doesn’t care if anyone even attempts to like her. You can hate her, you can love her, you can despise her, it doesn’t matter to Ellie. As long as you don’t hurt any of her friends then she doesn’t care. Ellie is the kind of girl that is always there for her friends when they need her, and she knows how to take a hint and leave when they don’t. Of course even though she hides it well, Ellie is as broken as they come. She tries her best to hide her pain, to keep it buried deep within her so that she doesnt concern anyone, but sometimes it is rather hard. Ellie has the punk attitude down perfectly, she is strong as can be and also as broken as anything else can be. But she is a force to be reckon with.
History:Ellie’s life is anything but perfect. Her father is off in the middle east, leaving Ellie alone by herself with her alcoholic mother. Ellie’s mother drinks, a lot more then anyone realizes. Ellie tries to show that it does not bother her, but it does. As a matter of fact it takes a lot out of Ellie to take care of her mother day and night. She goes to school, and she comes home and wipes the drool from her mothers chin while she stumbles into the kitchen for another bottle of vodka to drown her sorrows in. Ellie has tried everything to get through to her mother, yet nothing seems to work. Finally she found a release for the pain her mother has inflicted on her. Ellie began to cut herself, she enjoyed the pain it gave her. When asked why she did it she replied with It was the only pain I could control.. One day while in the bathroom at school, Paige walked into the bathroom where she saw Ellie’s bleeding arm. Ellie made up some story about hitting her arm and ran out. But Paige did not buy it. Paige chased after her and told Ellie she knows what she is doing, as she tried to tell Ellie to get help, Ellie walked away. Later that day Paige confronted Ellie again, this time Ellie broke down when Paige asked her to show her her arm. Finally Ellie got the help she needed. And it is what could have saved her life. Of course as Ellie stopped cutting, her mom did not stop drinking. As a matter of fact nothing really changed. Until the fateful day when she woke to the sound of the fire alarm, she ran to the kitchen were she saw the massive fire, and her mother passed out at the table. Ellie pulled her mother from the house, not before burning her arm of course. As the day went on they were at a shelter when Ellie convinced her mother to let her stay with Ashley, of course Ellie did not go to Ashley’s. She went to her boyfriend, Sean’s place who just days earlier asked her to move in with him. While at a housewarming party thrown by her friends her mother found out and pulled Ellie away. Ellie finally showed her mother her cuts and convinced her she needs help. Her mother went off to rehab and left Ellie in tornoto to move in with Sean.
Relationships:Ever since she met him Ellie has had the biggest crush on Marco Del Rossi. When Marco finally told her that he feels the same way about her, and asked her out Ellie could not have been any happier then she was in that moment. Of course everything went downhill when Marco came out and told Ellie he was gay. Even though she was upset, Ellie promised to stick by Marco and help him out. When he finally came out to everyone else Ellie was still there for him. One day while stuck in a Saturday detention, Ellie shared several moments with Sean Cameron, one of which he told her he thinks she is cute. Ellie was doing an article for the school newspaper on several things gone missing around school, and Sean was the number one suspect. But after the conversation she shared with Sean that day, the way he acted she realized she could not do the article. Ever since that day Ellie and Sean have become inseprable. She loves him it is obvious and he loves her as well. Now that they live together it can only get better, right? Right. Because Sean is all Ellie needs. He is the only person who understands her.

Personality:Michaela is not your average girl. She may appear like a sweet caring girl but in reality she really isn't sure some of her personality is sweet and fun but the other part is that she is honest. She will tell you whether she likes you or not. She will tell you the truth about your new hair do. She hates people that lie so therefore she doesn't. Michaela is a girl that is independent and outgoing all at the same time. She puts a lot of effort into caring and thats her biggest thing at the moment in time. She is a caring person but she can become stubborn if things don't always go her way. She is friends with a lot of people because she is just one of those people that can make friends easily sometimes things aren't so easy.
History:Michaela was born into a one parent home. Her mother gave birth and then they went to live on their own in a small apartment off in New York City. When living there her mother started to use drugs in order to get rid of the anxietys of life. After her avid drug use social services came in and took Michaela into their care. Where Michaela found that her father was alive and well. After all the years of believing he was dead she was now living with him. When she started to attend Degrassi she was a shy girl that did not have many friends. But now...things are good. She has good friends and loves her life. Her father is there. But there is always that hole in which her mother should be. She isn't sure if she will ever see her mom again but personally she could care less.
Relationships: When Michaela moved to the town she didn't have many friends but she was instantly greeted by Paige and since then has become a good friend of hers. But she is also good friends with Ashley. She considers both girls to be good friends. As for younger friends she gets along well with Emma because of her views on life and such. As for men...well she can't help but feel something for Spinner she knows that Paige is trying to get back with him but she can't help liking him as well. There are a few other people on her mind as well though.

Age: Seventeen
Grade: Eleventh
Personality: Tactless, arrogant, and haughty, Jesse is a young man who takes delight in the corruption and degradation of others for his own pleasure. Prone to bringing out the nastiest in himself and not feeling the least bit compelled by his narcissistic doings, Jesse is one hundred percent himself and ninety-nine percent jackass. Outspoken and honest, Jesse never seems to realize when his words cut closer to the throat than originally intended. Some believe that the boy doesn’t even have emotion, while others believe that his icy persona is a result of insecurity. Either or, Jesse is who he is and isn’t trying to make a difference in the way he acts. Jesse will always jump at the opportunity to be the center of attention regardless of what consequences may come after, and at times will go out of his way to do so. Often lashing out at authority figures and those who could perform the untimely task of getting under his skin, Jesse is not one to sugarcoat or spare the blunt and would rather bite one’s head off than share a pleasant everyday conversation with said one. It’s certainly no surprise that with his personality Jesse is quite the audacious one, living life on the edge of the seat and always taking chances. Going by impulses rather than instincts, Jesse will try anything and everything once, and then proceed to do it again.
History: One night, two intoxicated teenagers who will further remain unnamed decided to consummate their five-hour long relationship in a bedroom made for one at a fraternity party. Jesse was the result of said unfortunate night. The two teenagers were flabbergasted with the news and decided to do what was best for them instead of their child; foster care. Jesse wove in and out of foster houses for years, the first six or seven months of his life spent with an elderly couple who knew his father closely. When one of the two passed away, the other put Jesse up for selection again. Months after that, Jesse was taken into a house with a mid-thirties couple unable to have children of their own. It was with the Delbene family that Jesse experienced his first real family experience. Mark Delbene was undoubtedly a wonderful father, while Alyssa Delbene was equally good with parenting tasks. However, once tragedy struck again, Jesse found himself in foster care. His third and hopefully final adoption is what brought him to Degrassi, sharing a home with two successful business associates. Jesse’s personality is a direct result of what happened to him while growing up.

Personality: Most people don't understand Morgan Kentley.But the reality would be that those people don't care enough to try and understand her.Alot of people consider Morgan to be,in one word,weird.She makes her own clothing,she sits in the back of her classes always sketching something or other,her lockier is decorated with pictures of original punk bands and dead artists.Yes,that's alittle weird.And that's why many people don't associate with her.Alot of the time,Morgan makes her way to the back of the classroom and doesn't talk to people.Her classmates think she doesn't care,but she's more observant of them than they are of her.Then there are other times,when she'll suddenly become very opinionated.When Morgan cares about something,she speaks up.She's strong and her debate skills are fine.But Morgan isn't as complicated as everyone thinks she is.She's just afraid of trusting people.The way she sees it,they always let her down.She buries herself in her hobbies and interests.Art is one of the lights of her life.Music isn't far behind though she prefers listening to Sex Pistols and The Clash more than actually playing their songs.She's also much smarter than people think she is.She just doesn't like to show it.
History: Looking at her history,it's easy to see why Morgan doesn't trust people.Her parents met in college and married soon after and had Morgan and her brother,Matthew.When Morgan was 10,her dad was in a car accident and was killed.She missed her dad alot,but never showed it.Her mother started to spiral out of control.She couldn't handle raising two kids alone on minimum wage so she dropped Matthew and Morgan off at her sister's house one day.She said she was coming back in 3 hours.She never came back.Morgan sees her mom and dad as both leaving her.She has lived with her aunt in Degrassi for five years now.Her aunt is the only family member who she thinks is still there for her,now that her brother has left a year early to go to college.

Personality: A slightly eccentric dreamer, Jamie-Lynn Cooper always seemed to have her head in the clouds. Instead of paying attention in algebra like the normal student, she would sit with her head in her hands imaging a rockstar-like future. Though the older she gets, the more she feels like this dream is slipping through her hands. The harsh reality of just being another Toronto teenager is there every morning when she wakes up. She's opinionated, and has a habit of speaking before even thinking. Her mouth sometimes gets her in trouble, but occasionally she can smile her way out of it. She hates being called Jamie-Lynn, the last part of that usually falls off unless she gets in trouble with her parents, a teacher, or even Principal Raditch. But Jamie is mostly a good girl, she tries to steer clear away from trouble. Sometimes her free-spirit personality sometimes clashes with Paige Michalchuk or Hazel Aden's. It's usually never a pretty sight when they're together, so she tries her best to stay away from them. Not everybody knows Jamie by name, but possibly by face. She hangs out with anyone, the cliques of high school don't mean a thing to her.
History: The only child of Allison and Brent Cooper, Jamie-Lynn has always been showered with attention since the day she was born. That's the way she likes it and that's the way it's always been. She's sometimes spoiled by her parents, but definitely not a brat. She's daring, the kind of girl who's willing to try (almost) everything. Ever since she was little, she could never make up her mind about a hobby. It was ballet, then gymnastics, karate and then horseback riding lessons. Those just name a few. All the money wasted on those things brought her to her recent passion, music. This girl and her guitar are together more than they probably should be. If her guitar isn't with her, her headphones probably are. Jamie-Lynn is the kind of person who won't change for anyone, though that doesn't mean she's happy with herself. She tried following in her mother's footsteps at the age of thirteen by going into ballet. She didn't fit into the prim and proper crowd. She started to skip meals, and her weight dropped noticably. Things got worse before they got better, but her parents brought her to a doctor and worked with her to help her through the anorexia. She still struggles with her weight sometimes, every good girl has their bad day. The thought of being a ballerina makes her laugh now, she just imagines herself in class with clunky combat boots while frowning.
Relationships: Jamie-Lynn has being Ashley Kerwin's neighbor for all of her life, and the two know each other pretty well. She met Paige and Hazel through her, and found out she probably should stay away from the two for the rest of her life. She's never had a boyfriend before, though that doesn't mean she isn't looking. But all the boys that come her way usually are the wrong ones, somebody she has no interest in or just some guy looking to 'hook up'. Jamie is looking for true love, though she hasn't had any luck. She's pretty much ready to give up on high school love.

Personality:Nikki is probably the biggest b*tch you'll ever really meet. While many people like to tie her with Paige...truth is It is very well possible that Nikki is a lot worse then Paige, she is a lot meaner, a lot more cruel then you could imagine, and she's even colder then the ice cold beer in your hand. Her heart is as small as your pea-sized brain, or so that is what everyone seems to believe. Truth is she does have a heart and she does have a soul, she just rarely lets it out and she hardly lets the public see who she really is. She has issues with people, trust issues and she refuses to ever let anyone else in, no reason really. It's just this is who she is. There is really only one person who knows the real Nikki and that is Ellie Nash. Ellie is probably Nikki's only REAL friend at Degrassi meaning Ellie knows that while Nikki is mean and cruel she also has a lighter side to her, a slight sense of humor, when she needs it to be.
History:Nikki used to live in Toronto until sixth grade, but she sadly moved away and has just returned this year. Her mother got a job offer in San Diego and so Nikki was dragged off to that hell of a place to live with her for the past few years. She hated it there. San Diego...it was a place she never wanted to go to and while many people her age would love to leave Canada and move to a place like California, Nikki enjoyed her time there and she hated California. So after several years of pain and suffering in that place they call a state, she managed to convince her mother to let her move back to Tornoto with her dad and live with him for the remaineder of her high school days. Grade eleven and tweleve are supposed to be her years and now that she's here, and she met Ellie Nash she is happy as can be. Well not happy since Nikki and happy are two words that never ever mix together. She doesn't believe in the word happy and she never thinks she will find it which is why she is so bitter and cold.

Personality:Sean has always had the rebel streak in him. Ever since he first stepped foot in Degrassi some four years ago everyone could tell he had a bad streak. Rumors began spreading around school, about who he is, what he has done, secrets about his past...it is true nothing is secret in high school. Sean had a bit of a temper, he has gotten into several fights here and there. Over the years he has managed to control his anger, and while he does of course get into the occasional fight, he is not nearly as bad as he was four years ago when he first arrived in town. Sean still has a bit of a troublemaker in him but if there is anything about him that has never changed, it’s the fact that while he comes off as a tough guy causing trouble, he just wants acceptence as much as the next guy or girl for that matter. Sean has softened a lot in the past few years and while he hangs around a troublesome crowd, his girlfriend seems to have helped to keep him level and down to earth.
History:Sean has a complicated past. Before he arrived in town, he lived in Wasaga Beach, with his two parents who apparently are alcoholics. Sean had a lot to deal with, which is why he has such a bad temper. One day after an incident with another guy, Sean and the kid got into a fight, Seans anger got the best of him as he continued to beat on the boy. He beat him up so badly that now the boy is deaf in one ear. Sean continued to beat on him which resulted with his loss of hearing. Together his parents decided that if Sean stayed in Wasaga he would someday eventually end up in jail, and that was the last thing either one of them wanted for their son. After that they decided they would send Sean to Toronto to live with his older brother Tracker. It took some getting used to but Sean found himself a nice group of friends and a place to fit in. Sean should be in eleventh grade now but he sadly is still in tenth due to being forced to stay back. Sean dated Emma Nelson but when he met Jay Hogart and his girlfriend Alex, Sean found his people. He became friends with them, and one day to get even with Emma, Sean stole her stepfathers laptop. Ever since then a lot of things have gone missing from school and a lot of people assume it was Sean’s doing. A few months back, Tracker was offered a job in another town, and told Sean they had to move. Sean did not want to leave, he did not want to have to repeat his grade but most imoportantly he did not want to have to leave his girlfriend, Ellie behind. With some advice from his shop teacher, Sean was able to stay in Toronto, and not just stay but he was able to live alone in the house he shared with his brother. Over time however, Sean got rather lonley living there, which is why he asked Ellie to move in with him. Of course after some time she accepted his offer, and right now for the first time in a long time Sean seems to be happy.
Relationships:When Sean first arrived he began to date Emma Nelson. The two dated off and on for sometime, but finally Sean realized that Emma cared too much about saving the world and everyone in it, and that she just did not have the time for him. Sean basically ended their relationship, and while Emma did attempt to get him back...he just could not handle it anymore. Especially since he began to hang around Jay and Alex. One day during Saturday detention, Sean admitted to Ellie Nash that he thought she was cute, the two of them shared several moments within that time period...and have basically been together ever since. Sean hated how Ellie’s mother was and he did not want to know that Ellie had been cutting again,. So he offered for her to move in with him. While it took some convincing, Ellie eventually decided to go ahead and do it, making Sean very happy.

Personality:JT is the class...hell the school prankster. A role once held perfectly by Spinner is now the role JT holds. It is very rare for anyone to see JT in a serious mood, mostly because the boy does not know the word serious. You could ask him to be serious as much as you want but the chances of him actually being serious are so slim that its pretty much something you may never see. Well that is not really all that true. When his friends need him just like anyone else, JT Is there. One of JT’s best qualities, is that he may be a joker but he can be very very sweet at times. When he likes someone, a girl mostly he tries everything he can to get her to see the good in him. He tries hard to convince them to see that underneath the joker there is an even sweeter person then you see. He is a true example of the phrase more then meets the eye. Because there is a lot more to JT then meets the eye.
History:JT does not have much of a history. His entire life seems to be quiet simple apparently.While many people consider JT to be a dork, or a geek, mostly due to the friends he hangs out with, he is not that way. JT loves to have fun and he loves to make people laugh and people smile. JT had a huge crush on Paige and while he did convince her to go on a date with him, he found out the only reason she agreeded to go out with him was because she was being paid by her friends. But while on the date it was clear that Paige had actually had a good time, allowing for JT’s undeniable humor to make her laugh. After that JT and Paige seem to have become friends in a way. He is the school mascot (the one in the cheetah costume at all the cheerleading events). JT was one of the first people who Paige told that she was raped too, as soon as Paige told him what had happened...JT ran out to the basketball court during the game and attacked Dean, the creep who raped her. Of course he was pulled off of him but it is the thought that counts. JT may have a lot of crazy ideas, but sometimes they are not as bad as they seem.
Relationships:JT’s first crush was Paige, but since their first date in which she was paid to go out with him, they have become friends. It is obvious to just about everyone that Liberty Van Zandt has a slight crush on JT, well more then a crush as it appears she is totally into him. But at this point JT is just good friends with Liberty since he finally has a girlfriend. Of course not the best one possible. For a large part of last year JT had a crush on Manny Santos, who was also one of his oldest friends. When everyone else in school turned their backs on Manny, JT didn’t. He finally asked her to go to the year end dance with him..and while they were together for some time...Manny recently broke it off. Leaving JT heartbroken.

Personality:Manny Is another character who has done a complete 180 in personality. Once the sweet, innocent little angel who was best friends with perfect Emma Nelson...Manny has changed. She formed a crush on a boy named Sully, who was into the “hot chicks” which basically made Manny change her entire style and personality. She went from being the sweetheart to being the school slut. Well that is how she dressed at least. As soon as Manny changed her style it is as if her clothes choice changed her personality. She was no longer sweet and lovable, she was cruel and manipulative. All because she no longer wanted to be cute. After she changed her style she lost her entire reputation and became what everyone calls her today. And her recent actions have not helped to fix anything.
History:Manny used to be best friends with Emma Nelson, they used to do everything together and Manny always made sure she would always be there for Emma. But then something changed. When she decided she no longer wanted to be called cute, she wanted to be called hot, Manny changed her entire style. She went after Sully, and did win the boys attention but he did not treat her well. Her crush on Craig Manning did not help the situation either. But then it did not matter anymore about Sully because she now had the attention of almost every guy in school and that was what she wanted. Except she really did not seem to get Craig, the one guy whos attention she wanted. Manny made a mistake on the night when she slept with Craig, and the mistake grew when she believed his lies. When he told her she was the one for him and promised to dump Ashley, Manny should have known he would not stick to his word but that did not change anything. Things got even worse when Manny found out she was pregnant, and Craig being the only boy she ever slept with..was of course the father. When she told Craig the news he was shockingly excited about it. He even wanted to pick out names and made Manny feel hopeful as to their future. But then she realized she was just too young to have a child, and she knew she could not be a mother. She decided she could not keep the baby. And with the help of Emma’s mother...Manny made sure that she would not have it. It was the hardest decision of her life...but the best choice she could have made at that point.
Relationships:Manny has a very complicated history with guys. Starting with Craig Manning. While the two went on one date, Manny pretty much loved him ever since. And even though he was with Ashley, the one night they slept together...the night everything changed, Craigs lies...he pretty much left Manny untrusting of guys. But then when JT York asked her to the year end dance she gladly accepted. While things were going well for a little while..Manny dumped Craig when she said he was too immature for her. She broke his heart. Now she clearly still wants Craig but she is becoming even closer to Spinner then before.

Personality:Emma can best be described as...the activist. She is always the one who is trying to save everyone and everything in the world. She spends just about every minute of her day trying to come up with new ways to save everyone. She hardly ever thinks of the consequences of her actions but that does not matter because as long as Emma can have some part in saving someone or something that she is happy. Because she knows exactly what it is like to fail and she hates it. Emma is a very strong girl, she will never give up on anything because as long as she knows she has a chance of succeeding in what she is doing then that is all that matters. Because Emma will not give up until she wins.
History : Emma was born to a very young mother. Her mother was just a teenager when she gave birth to Emma and was just about forced to raise Emma all by herself. Emma’s father is in a assited living house, he was hit in the head some time ago and has brain damage. Emma recently met him about two years ago for the very first time and was shocked at what she has seen. He was very lovable when he met her and she was still scared. He is still in the hospital now. A few years ago, Emma’s mother married her teacher Archie Simpson. Making him her new stepfather. Emma had some problems with Mr Simpson being her teacher and now her step father but she grew to love him like family, especially seeing how her mother loves him. Not too long after they were married, Mr Simpson was diagnosied with Cancer. It terrifed everyone to think he may not be around. But everything worked out in the end when he went them chemo and has since turned out to be getting better. He seems to be a lot better now then he was before. She now has a new baby brother named Jack, which is exactly what their family seems to need. Emma used to be best friends with Manny Santos, but when Manny changed her style and went after another girls boyfriend...Emma realized she did not like what her friend was becoming. And she was actually disgusted with it. She told Manny she did not want to be friends with the school slut, thus ending their friendship rather drastically. While it was years ago that they stopped being friends...it did not stop Emma from careing. There have been several occassions since they stopped being friends where Emma made it clear to Manny that she was still going to be there for her. Loyalty is one of her strong suits.
Relationships:Emma’s first real boyfriend was Sean Cameron. Everyone loves the bad boy and Sean is just that. While they dated off and on for several years Emma made a mistake when she made it clear that saving the world was more important then saving her dying relationship with her boyfriend. Sean couldnt handle it anymore so he ended it. Since then Emma has been seen dating Chris Sharpe, which did not last too long as it appears the two just were not compatable. Since Chris Emma has not been seen with much of anyone. Although it can change.

She is one of the kindest kids in Degrassi. She is kind to anybody and everybody. Her thing is... a little kindness going a long way. She's trying to continue on with the legecy that Rachel Jay Scott let behind. As she said in a paper she wrote a month before Columbine: "You may just start a chain reaction". Lainey is determined to do that.
History: Lainey is a Degrassi born...Degrassi-an. She's lived in the town her whole life but she's lived in two seperate houses. For the first ten years of her life, Lainey lived with her parents. Things were going very well for Lainey and her parents until her father got a job offer off somewhere in another state. Lainey would have had to move with her parents away from Degrassi if she hadn't begged and begged with her parents to let her live with her aunt so she could stay in Degrassi. Finally, her parents gave in and she was allowed to stay in Degrassi as along as she would come visit her parents very summer. That was fun and dandy with Lainey. She has gone to visit her parents in Seattle every summer since she was ten. She's sixteen now and she couldn't be happier with her life in Degrassi. She has always been an only child but she considers her cousin Morgan to be like a sister to her. Lainey has been living in the same house with her ever since she was Morgan was dropped off there five years ago when they were both eleven.

Personality: Anyone who ever said nice guys finished last never met Corbin Daniels. It seems a little contradictory though. Certainly not the boy next door who flushes in the company of the opposite sex, but definitely not the normal teenage brute who’s crass remarks sound whenever sex is mentioned, Corbin seems to be a generally well-rounded person. The guy you go to if you need to cry your eyes out without any questions, yet simultaneously the guy who can tell you why your girlfriend didn’t appreciate the generic shampoo you bought her for your three month anniversary. It also shouldn’t be misconstrued that “nice” stands for “pushover” or even remotely “saintly”. Corbin doesn’t go out of his way to insult people, but he won’t just stand around and let others shove him around. He’s also a firm practitioner of honesty; if he thinks you’re doing something stupid, he’ll tell you, though his intentions really will be genuine. Corbin looks out for other people before he looks out for himself, and if he could give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, he’d do it with little hesitation.
History: Once upon a time two people met over a container of Coronas and started drinking. The drinking lead to talking, the talking lead to dancing, the dancing lead to more drinking which in turn lead to a bedroom, and there you can pretty much let your imagination take over the rest. Nine months later, Corbin Daniels was born, his mother the daughter of a devout Catholic family, was unwed, and the father was never spoken to again after that night. Somehow though, Corbin and Cornelia (the mother) turned out okay in spite of the lack of support she received from her parents and the lack of a father figure in his life, or rather, a stable one. Cornelia was fortunate to have the support of her friends along the way, six of which decided to rent a large town house together during the second half of their college career together. Cornelia could still go to school and work, and count on one of her friends to always be around when Corbin was growing up. Corbin’s still in contact with the five other “surrogate” parents who for two years, and years following, were as much an influence in his growing up as the mother who loved him more than her own life. One could argue the well-rounded group of people helped contribute to the well-rounded person Corbin is today, and Corbin would probably agree.

He just needs to know what he wants and go for it. Dylan is very open about who he is. Being a gay guy these days is not all fun and games, it takes a lot out of just about any average person and Dylan may be good at hiding it, but he has issues with people who bash people for being who they are. Dylan is very athletic. He is good at every sport he plays, Dylan is one of the proudest men you will ever meet, he will openly say anything that is on his mind and nothing bothers him more then people who try to hide what and who they are out of fear that they will be shunned or made fun of or anything of the kind. Mainly..he is very much bothered by his boyfriend hiding who he is.
History:Dylan is the older brother of Paige Michalchuk. He is very protective of his sister and will probably murder anyone who were to hurt her. It may shock many people as to how close they are. Yes, they do fight on occassion but nothing matters other then the fact that she is his sister, his blood relative. Dylan is a star hockey player, he lives and breaths in hockey. It is his favorite sport and he is probably one of the best young players around these parts, well at least on his team. Dylan recently graduated from high school and now attends the local college. Dylan is very happy to have his own place, finally the freedom he has always wanted. About two years ago Dylan went with Paige and her friends to the beach one day, while there he met Marco for the first time. For some reason Dylan could tell right off the bat that there was something about Marco that seemed off, he thought he could be gay but he wasn't going to do anything or say anything until he was positive. When he asked Paige, she insisted that Marco was dating Ellie Nash and that the two were inseprable. However it was not until later that day when Ellie announced that her and Marco in fact had not been together for some time, that he realized that he could have been right. After some time of just being friends, Dylan and Marco finally went out on their first date. While it was a horrible first date, it did not stop Dylan from wanting to be with Marco. All that was made clear when they shared their first kiss.
Relationships:As perviously stated Dylan has been dating Marco for some time now, but he is now getting sick and tired of hiding his relationship. It is not like they are really hiding it anyways, Marco's entire school knows he's gay, his friends, Paige...everyone knows and they all know that Marco and Dylan are together...everyone knows except for Marco's dad. After some pressing from Dylan he convinced Marco to tell his mom, but he refuses to tell his dad. Dylan hates having to hide who they are, because to him it feels like they are back in the closet and that is the last thing Dylan wants.

She may appear like a sweet caring girl but in reality she really isn't sure some of her personality is sweet and fun but the other part is that she is honest. She will tell you whether she likes you or not. She will tell you the truth about your new hair do. She hates people that lie so therefore she doesn't. Michaela is a girl that is independent and outgoing all at the same time. She puts a lot of effort into caring and thats her biggest thing at the moment in time. She is a caring person but she can become stubborn if things don't always go her way. She is friends with a lot of people because she is just one of those people that can make friends easily sometimes things aren't so easy.
History:Michaela was born into a one parent home. Her mother gave birth and then they went to live on their own in a small apartment off in New York City. When living there her mother started to use drugs in order to get rid of the anxietys of life. After her avid drug use social services came in and took Michaela into their care. Where Michaela found that her father was alive and well. After all the years of believing he was dead she was now living with him. When she started to attend Degrassi she was a shy girl that did not have many friends. But now...things are good. She has good friends and loves her life. Her father is there. But there is always that hole in which her mother should be. She isn't sure if she will ever see her mom again but personally she could care less.
Relationships: When Michaela moved to the town she didn't have many friends but she was instantly greeted by Paige and since then has become a good friend of hers. But she is also good friends with Ashley. She considers both girls to be good friends. As for younger friends she gets along well with Emma because of her views on life and such. As for men...well she can't help but feel something for Spinner she knows that Paige is trying to get back with him but she can't help liking him as well. There are a few other people on her mind as well though.

Personality: Tactless, arrogant, and haughty, Jesse is a young man who takes delight in the corruption and degradation of others for his own pleasure. Prone to bringing out the nastiest in himself and not feeling the least bit compelled by his narcissistic doings, Jesse is one hundred percent himself and ninety-nine percent jackass. Outspoken and honest, Jesse never seems to realize when his words cut closer to the throat than originally intended. Some believe that the boy doesn’t even have emotion, while others believe that his icy persona is a result of insecurity. Either or, Jesse is who he is and isn’t trying to make a difference in the way he acts. Jesse will always jump at the opportunity to be the center of attention regardless of what consequences may come after, and at times will go out of his way to do so. Often lashing out at authority figures and those who could perform the untimely task of getting under his skin, Jesse is not one to sugarcoat or spare the blunt and would rather bite one’s head off than share a pleasant everyday conversation with said one. It’s certainly no surprise that with his personality Jesse is quite the audacious one, living life on the edge of the seat and always taking chances. History: One night, two intoxicated teenagers who will further remain unnamed decided to consummate their five-hour long relationship in a bedroom made for one at a fraternity party. Jesse was the result of said unfortunate night. The two teenagers were flabbergasted with the news and decided to do what was best for them instead of their child; foster care. Jesse wove in and out of foster houses for years, the first six or seven months of his life spent with an elderly couple who knew his father closely. When one of the two passed away, the other put Jesse up for selection again. Months after that, Jesse was taken into a house with a mid-thirties couple unable to have children of their own. It was with the Delbene family that Jesse experienced his first real family experience. Mark Delbene was undoubtedly a wonderful father, while Alyssa Delbene was equally good with parenting tasks. I've never seen Degrassi, but I know what is about for the most part; Hurricane Charley holed me and my twelve-year-old cousin up in the same room for a week, believe me, I can name plots backwards and forwards. But, could I possibly take two MYOCS? Avril Lavigne and oh, what is the name of that blonde kid on Summerland? Jesse McCartney.
