Deconstructing Venus | A MYOC Role Play

Deconstructing Venus
You are the center of your own private little constellation
And you are the jury and judge of every little deconstructed fable

High school is the perfect training ground for the social conventions of the outside world. Motivated by self-interest, those who reign supreme atop the hierarchal social ladder of popularity are usually of the most privileged and envied. They shop at Saks, wear custom tailored Versace, display their Louis Vuittons, and idly muse over their grand summers, both of the past and of those to come, in the country side of France and amongst their beautiful white yachts.

Their influence is overwhelming and their rule absolute. And although they provide us a glimpse of the perfection we know comes only with compromise, we still look up to them in spite of our grudges.

Every high school has its elitist caste group that inspires dismay, admiration, and disgust amongst the peers who could only hope to associate with them in their most elaborate fantasies.

| Mansfield High School, New Port, California |
Yeah, you wear Versace but you look like a dirty bird
And yeah, even the paparazzi think you’re quite absurd

Mansfield High School is certainly not an exception to the rule. The public institute is located in just outside the Metropolitan Los Angelus area, in the privileged suburbs of Orange County. Both a cultural and a social Mecca, the school attracts students from all wakes of life. From the underprivileged to the socially conscious parents of Mercedes-Benz driving children looking to avoid sheltered environment of private institutions.

Nevertheless, there’s a profound divider present between those of privileged upbringings, and those of the economically challenged variety.

But there’s one group in particular that stands out. The most advantaged, crème de la crop, A-listers, who, for lack of a better expression, “rule the school.” Two-faced and back stabbing, the images they put on for their subjectively adoring public is not the same face that’s worn behind closed doors. Their uniformity seems impermeable. But popularity has never come without adversary and challenge, and although their continuous manipulation perpetuates their power, it’s a temperamental power, fragile and wary.

And you don’t want to question it
You’re looking quite possessed
You’re the wonder of god’s own handiwork

| The Game |
Innocent we have been sprung and innocent we are

What started out as a flippant fantasy has turned into an all out onslaught. The “deconstruction” of the elitist fascism ruling the school was proposed by a faceless nobody and slowly, people gravitated toward the idea and joined in the ranks. The objective is simple: to expose the group for all its betrayals and deceitful lies. To destroy the monster with its own devices.

But the bigger picture is aimed at the reestablishment of equality that is unstable at best in society at large. Yet not completely lost in the local ranks of high school debauchery.

This is the eye of the storm
This is society

| The Rules |
Boy/Girl rule. Up to four characters. Please take an even amount of characters from the elite group, and those setting out to destroy it. Spell check is everyone’s friend: don’t neglect it. No one liners. Characters don’t just open their mouths and words miraculously follow. They perform actions and possess thoughts (hopefully.) [b]Bold the subjects of your profiles[/i] or I’ll bite you. And finally, one final note: this is not the dating game, and while love interests will be established at some point, life isn’t exclusively revolved around the prospect of finding a boyfriend or a girlfriend. Please refrain from trying to pair your characters up before the game. I’d like to encourage everyone to participate in a game that perpetuates new interaction amongst its role players. Especially amongst those you wouldn’t normally get a chance to write with.

Name: Lian Xing Alexander
Age: 15
Theme Song: 'Excuses' - Alanis Morissette
Personality: Lian is somewhat of a contradiction. Not one of those “hot one minute, cold the next” types, but we’re talking about spanning her entire life. Lian was born in China and has a fairly decent recollection of her life there, but it’s really nothing that she wants to remember (understandable if you know basic Chinese traditions and beliefs on women). As everyone knows, it’s the things you learn in the early years of life that stick with you the most, and, when Lian was finally adopted by the Alexander family, she brought with her her self-reliance. For a long time she wouldn’t talk to anyone, and even after she opened up she held her independence fiercely inside of her. Lian isn’t a mean person, far from it, but she would never put her life in anyone else’s hands but her own and probably never will. Sure, she might use people to her advantage, not in a drastic manner but enough that they might re-evaluate their impression of her, but she can’t know anyone better than she knows herself, and therefore can’t trust anyone more than she can trust herself.
Claim to Fame: New to the whole high school scene, Lian has the distinction of being one of the few minorities at Mansfield High. Furthermore, she’s the only one of them who actually came straight from her ancestral country. Her memories are few, dim, and not exactly pleasant either. She grew up taught by family and peers alike to feel privileged for having been lucky enough to have found a home in the United States when so many orphans go without ever finding families. People see in her a distinction, something other than simply being of Chinese descent that almost makes her seem alien to the American high school scene. True, this could be because she often plays up the fact that she’s adopted, but whatever it is, people feel a little bit more self-conscious around her perhaps for fear of somehow offending her, and to Lian’s pleasant surprise it tends to make people act extra nice to her. Hey, she’s not complaining.

Name: Riley Barstow
Age: Seventeen
Theme Song: Sympathy For The Devil - The Rolling Stones
Personality: If we are but the sum of the actions of others and the events in our lives, then Riley could easily claim she is merely the reaction to every action that has been inflicted upon her. A casualty of society, if you will, as much as the victim as she is occasionally accused the victimizer, who might have turned out a little differently if only she hadn't been subjected to the expectations and prejudices of others. Riley Barstow has never been a fan of scapegoats though, and in the end, it has been her own ambitions that propelled her far beyond the role of "evil social bitch" others prescribed for her. Although she has a reputation for being icy and scathing, Riley is a practitioner of the reactionist approach, and pretty much treats others as they have treated her. She's rationalized that if she's going to be labeled a cold-hearted bitch, she may as well live up it, and needless to say, she's turned her role into a bit of an art form. Of course, the public facade Riley wears is one that is well practiced and not without purpose. She's found that there's an upper hand to be found in the anonymity that comes along with being a one-dimensional social pariah. The fact is Riley is far worse than any preconceived notions could have ever guessed, as she is loyal to no one but herself. The face of disinterested stoicism she perpetually wears is nothing but a guise for the shrewd, calculating mind that lies underneath.
Claim to Fame/Hidden Agenda: Everyone knows Charleston Barstow, entrepreneur extraordinaire (he’s responsible for those reusable post-its that are all the craze now), political driving force in the senate, social schmoozer, author, and modern day Renaissance man. To Riley Barstow, Charleston is simply “Daddy.” Having inherited some of his diplomatic qualities, Riley has managed to plant herself at the head of Mansfield High School’s social organization as its very active and respected (as far as the faculty go) council president. While it’s true that Riley is ridiculously spoiled by her father, her reputation was hard earned on her own. Unbeknownst to fellow elitists and antagonistic adversaries alike, Riley’s associations with the upper elite are questionable. Riley's perfectly aware of the flaws within the circle she runs with, though her plans of sabotage are hardly motivated by the desire to make the world a better place. Unfortunately, her plans to disassemble the group from the inside are constantly thwarted by her obnoxious step-brother; the proverbial thorn in her side that planted itself when their parents married.

Name: Blake Davids
Age: 18
Theme Song: "I don't Wanna Be" by Gavin DeGraw
Personality: Quite frankly, Blake doesn’t care whether he’s ‘in’ or ‘out.’ It’s a waste of time, these ‘elitists’ as they are affectionately referred to, wouldn’t have noticed him before his money, they would have, in fact, tried to taunt him to no end. He sees them just as he sees his father, hates you when you can’t buy a small country, loves you and wants to be in your life when you can. Part of Blake’s problem is that he doesn’t belong anywhere, he doesn’t want to belong with the rich kids, he hates them, but the ‘others’ don’t want him to belong with them, or maybe they do, but they’ve always been unwelcoming to him. Blake is a kind, courteous guy for the most part, so he doesn’t register his objections with the ‘elitists.’ Everyone needs someone to be around, and Blake does the bare minimum with these people, lunch, occasional Friday night parties, but he tries avoiding most of them most of the time. There may, after all, be other people in his ring of ‘friends’ that feel like he does, and they don’t deserve the anger that will come out of him when he has finally had enough, which will be any day now, he’s been very edgy and moody lately (his father has been trying really hard to get close to him over the last few weeks).
Claim to Fame: When Blake was just a baby, his father left him and his mother. With a young child and nothing to offer him, Victoria Davids was stuck. During the day she worked as a nurse at the local family practice, and during the evening as a gas station attendant, just trying to give Blake what he needed both materially and emotionally. After a few years of this, Victoria decided that she had had enough. So she quit her second job and used the spare time studying different systems of multi-level marketing, she tried e-bay, real estate, you name it, she tried it. Finally, after a few more years, she decided to right a motivational book about everything she had learned about money, and a little internet business to go with it. Her book was a best-seller, she made millions off that, followed by her business’ worth multiplying plentifully. Blake went from not having enough money to pay the 500$ a month rent, to having so much that he could use a small percentage of it to throw on a bed and roll in it, not that he would want to.

Name: Dru Destry
Age: Eighteen
Theme Song: 'No One's Gonna Come' - Sondre Lerche
Personality: Charming, quiet, proud, derogatory, witty, intuitive.
Claim to Fame: In such a town as New Port, those worth speaking of are either beautiful, wealthy, famous, or some combination of the three. None however are quite as talked about right now as Mr. Dru Destry, the New Port Man of the Hour. Having released his debut album, “Melody Carousel,” last year, his hit single, “Wonderdrug,” topping the billboard charts, and having just returned home from his first summer tour of the States, Dru is the “next big thing” in the music industry, and the guy everyone wants to have around. The celebrations have been nearly endless. The whole town turned out to welcome Dru as he arrived back in New Port for the first time in four months just two weeks ago, and now his is the life of someone riding on cloud nine. Which also says something for his social life as well. Growing up Dru was fairly average, able to make friends on a more individual basis, never having his own ‘clique’. To say that his social life was now heading straight for the clouds would certainly be no understatement. These days, Dru nearly makes up his own clique with people clamoring to be included. In what exactly? Well even Dru isn’t entirely sure of that one, but anyhow the attention is certainly welcome. Whether or not he realizes that most of the attention he’s getting is based strictly on his hype is neither here nor there. After all, Dru has only begun to get picked up recently, he’s not quite at the top of his league yet, and there’s no guarantee of course that he may ever actually get there, but right now things are looking good on all sides. And who could blame him if he chooses to soak up a little pleasure in where he’s at right now? Wouldn’t you?
Extra Curriculars: None. When does Dru have time to do anything with agents calling and media coverage on him?

Name: Warren Hainsworth
Age: Seventeen
Theme Song: "Use Me" -- Bill Withers
Personality: Warren Hainsworth is a big bad poopiehead but he's just misunderstood! I swear! He's like that because he grew up with a bad childhood, and everything about his life was bad and miserable, and his parents never paid attention to him, and it was just bad and that's why he's the way he is! He's really a caring, generous, and courteous gentlemen underneath! Really! Except, not, Warren's childhood was actually pretty okay, (not the best, but you know the old saying: at least there was food on his family. -- Dubya), and then there's really no definite one way or the other able can faultlessly define Warren Hainsworth's personality, mainly because he doesn't seem to have one. Warren goes to school, sits in class, draws on the desks, (and erases it after because he feels bad for the teacher, because she's always complaining how messy her classroom is) eats lunch, talks about whatever his comrades want to talk about (football, boobs, whatever), allows the chicks to fawn over his flawlessly chiseled man-body, and then he goes home. That is Warren Hainsworth for you, people. Assuming this is not a definite-enough answer, I will provide the following: Warren is the sore thumb of the group and is usually nice, unless one were to 1) Make a mean comment about his mama, or 2) Make a mean comment about his mama. Other than that, Warren is usually copacetic and sympathetic towards the individuals whom his croonies deem fit to pick fun at, is usually the one who will apologize to them afterwards and when his croonies are well gone, and will happily keep to himself and will not go out of his way to make someone feel miserable simply because he wouldn't appreciate the interchangeable.
Claim to Fame: No, Warren's ascent to prevalence is not because he is a chapter of an aristocratic genealogy, (because really, how many people can use that excuse, and Warren hardly considers being the only son of a single mother who freelances for The Enquirer, and by a single mother who freelances for The Enquirer he means a single mother who writes bullshit, gets paid for it, and also works palm-readings on the side) or the direct consequence of being, plain and simple laymen's terms, a motherfucking kewl son of a bitch; rather, Warren is unequivocal opposite of this typecast - the rationale behind the vogue of Warren Hainsworth's repute goes, in chronological order, as follows: 1) Warren has a brother, 2) His name is Wes, (or Big Daddy Dub, depends on who you asked) 3) Wes is kewl, and everybody loves Wes, because Wes is kewl, 4) Wes graduated, (sadface) and then Warren was a freshman, and everyone loved him because he was Wes' little brother and Wes was just too goddamned kewl that his brother had to at least have some Wes-brevity; which is, actually, not true, because Warren is just the epitome of so-not-kewl because he collects wrestling action-figures and watches Rugrats (Lil's sweet and Phil's his dawg) and likes to wear fuzzy socks on Christmas and really, Warren is just a big dork but if the chicks dug Wes, well, Warren is perfectly fine pretending to be his older brother - beer bongs, wifebeaters, faux deepvoice, and these totally kickass Oakley sunglasses included.

Taken By: In Fair Verona
Name: Felicia Hilliard
Age: Eighteen
Theme Song: "Mrs. Actually" - The Like
Personality: Despite a sharp and astute demeanor, Felicia Hilliard is perhaps the most innocent senior at Mansfield High. Although her posture is indicative of a mature and sophisticated young lady, Felicia is more akin to a blooming debutante, still naïve and unknowingly of life outside of the "bubble" that is Newport. Her overprotective parents are responsible for this but likewise also to blame for her disarming politeness, the result of a "good southern upbringing". Felicia's impeccable manners have earned her the favor of several authority teachers, to the extent that many of her peers have regarded her as somewhat of a teacher's pet or, in more popular terms, a "suck-up". It's true that Felicia Hilliard it the epitome of a goody-two-shoes, perfect in appearance and manner, however beneath that refined surface lies a flourishing inquisitiveness, particularly towards sex, to put it bluntly. Like any teenage girl, Felicia was born equipped with hormones and the frustration of remaining chaste for eighteen years has begun to alienate her from the rest of Mansfield High's elite. It is this curiousity which may very well pave the way towards hypocrisy.
Claim to Fame/Hidden Agenda: Everybody with a television set knows Reverend Thomas Hilliard, the infamous televangelist who insults minorities, homosexuals, and bleeding heart liberals on a weekly basis. His reactionary conservative views are broadcasted to millions of households across the state, earning himself esteem and favor from the filthy rich entrepreneurs residing in areas such as Beverly Hills, Laguna, and Newport Beach. However, his spin on topics such as the War in Iraq, the immigration bill, and same-sex marriage have earned him the hatred of the majority of the liberal population. Felicia Hilliard is, literally speaking, the reverend's daughter. It's true that Felicia has received the backlash of her father's fire-and-brimstone speeches, and has often been on the receiving end of excessive protest, however, if there's anything her father has taught her, it's how to stand in the face of adversity. With grace and sophistication, Felicia ignores the righteous indignation of those who dare to whine to her, finding them nothing more than a nuisance. As for her views, they're quite unestablished. Felicia will believe what her father wants her to believe given the extravagant allowance she receives, however truthfully she's uncertain as to whether or not she whole-heartedly agrees with his views. Despite the benefits, such as having a television star for a father, Felicia is sick of politics and would rather not think about them but rather enjoy being an apathetic teenager.

Name: Amanda Klimack
Age: Seventeen
Theme Song: Miss Delaney by Jack's Mannequin
Personality: Amanda would be the first to whisper to you that popularity isn't what it's all suposed to be. Popularity, in the most part, is fantaisized to such an extreme that it seems almost unbearable to be called popular when Amanda considers herself normal. She's quiet, but she knows she envied. And although she won't exactly go up and talk to the art freaks she'll offer a helpless smile. Although, she seems in the minority in her clique as she finds popularity boring and lack-lustre. She doesn't hide behind her genuine smiles, but she often cringes when she looks back at herself hiding behind her more prominate friends. Amanda would try and change something, but to do it would cause more controversy and she knows she'd have to put up with alot of bull****, and she'd just prefer to cause as little drama that can happen. Which is why she is found among boys, they seem to have the same perspective of drama as her.
Claim to Fame/Hidden Agenda: There's no mistake that Amanda is beautiful, it was noticed very early in grade school while the boys would pull her hair and show her digusting bugs. As she grew up they grouped around her, making her quickly becoming friends with the boys. She's not wealthy, but it seems her beauty has made her a prized part of the elite clique.

Name: Ridley Montaigne
Age: 17
Theme Song: "Something To Do With My Hands" - Her Space Holiday
Personality: Lethargic, Brazen, Epicurean, Aloof, Promiscuous, and Lackadaisical.
Claim to Fame/Hidden Agenda: If you remember b-rated action films such as Vietnam Heat (which, for the record, was not pornographic in nature) or Los Angeles Rush, you may remember People magazine's sexiest man alive of 1984, Mitchell Montaigne. The framed magazine hangs proudly in Mitchell's trophy room, along with such honors as MTV's breakout male performance of 1981 and the Blockbuster award for best male character in an action film in 1982. Albeit they are no Academy Awards, the vestige ascertained from these two-dollar plaques are what has Mr. Montaigne and his family living in the lap of luxury in Newport Beach. As the second and youngest son of the former washed-up movie star (who's biggest role as of late was playing Ryan Phillipe's father in a sexual teen flick), the expectations placed upon Ridley are relatively low to non-existant. While his elder brother studies at Berkeley in an attempt to earn the family a respectable name (he's quite embarassed about his father's relative fame), Ridley reaps the rewards for what they are worth. Ridley lives his life with minimal effort, sloth being his sin. His schedule is that of a typical apathetic teenager; wake up, eat, drink, sleep, party, sleep, sex, and another round of Halo. Ridley finds a way to pick himself up to meet his social obligations, however when he's not being an audacious party animal he's being a good-for-nothing lazy son-of-a-bitch.

Name: Louise 'Issy' Moulin
Age: Eighteen
Theme Song: "Camisado"- Panic! at the disco
Personality: Oh, the mind of Louise is an awfully scary place to be. She's too indecisive to keep in beat with, and most usually, she has no one who knows the real Issy. She's impulsive and fickle, emotionally inept to committ to almost anything concerning relationships. She's obnoxious and most likely bitchy, and comes off as a hardass punk. Her personality is so two-sided. Sometimes, there is this side to her that is calm and quiet, even reserved. Not very many people have seen this side of her because of the impussiance of her heart- Letting people too close to it. She's flirtatious and sexy, whitty and irresponsible. And then theres times where the elegant, sweet, intelligent, and giddy Issy shines through.. You just have to keep track of all of her actions to keep up with her. She'll always keep you guessing, no matter what.
Claim to Fame: Issy doesn't care much at all for the label she has been given, under the circumstance that she just wants to be herself. She's lucky to be accepted for that- But mostly lucky to have such model looks as she posesses, never close to the wealth that she has- Because Louise believes that there is no such thing- It's just her father's pitty money. It's been her mother and she ever since she can remember. Louise is just a mistake to Jonathon Moulin (aka, her father)- Who lives in Beverly Hills, living the high-life as the owner of the 'Marylou Hotel' chain. The most she has received from him would conclude his lovely holiday cards and a big bundle of child-support, maybe a credit card for Issy's monthly shopping trips. Issy believes that the last time she saw him, she was six and it was her birthday. He had decided to drop off her present and split two seconds following thereafter. Issy is so carefree about everything, she hasn't really claimed her title. She just lets people say what they must, and make no objections because of her lazy attitude. Issy has never been taunted, questioned, or anything else to make her worry much about anything- So life has just been one dandy walk in the park in Mansfield, starting Freshman year. Besides, people are probably scared of her to say anything the least bit insulting. If Issy had a claim to fame or hidden agenda, she would tell you about it.. Which is why she doesn't have a hidden agenda or a claim in the first place. Blatant, obvious, and right out honest with everything- Issy never fails to suprise you about what she really all about. She gets along with everyone. End of story.

Age: 17
Theme Song: --
Personality: There are two kinds of rich snobby teenagers; those who act the way they do because of their previously undealt with childhood problems, be it the lack of loving parents or just the pressures of society and then there are those who have no excuse. They are the one hundred percent snobby elite that were born from one hundred percent snobby elite and will down the line breed more one hundred snobby elite. James Rutherford is nothing but the latter. He enjoys the power and the notoriety. He enjoys the parties and the big bucks wasted on absolutely nothing. His purpose in life is simple and it is only to make himself happy. If that means stepping on the hearts of innocent unsuspecting hopelessly romantic sophomores then so be it. If it means dishing out hundreds on a few good bottles of the highest class champagne and vodka then prepare to get drunk. He enjoys his position in life and will quick to correct anyone who tries to convince him that class is not a good excuse for stepping on the people who get in your way. Class is everything and James is completely aware that without it he would not be where he is today. That's why he treasures it. He flaunts it. He makes sure everyone knows it so that there's no chance of him ever being without. Some people are stupid, but James is not. Class only gets you what you want if you make people without believe that they really are beneath you. And James does just that. If you're his best friend, it can be quite amusing to watch and if you're not, then don't think you have a chance against his vicious quips and arrogantly pompous attitude.
Claim to Fame: While the Rutherfords are a predominate and well known family in the elite world James lives in, they are not all that interesting. Actually they're quite boring. James considers himself to be the most interesting one of all. He is known for the over the top parties he plans whenever he feels like it. They're extremely exclusive and range from simple house parties at his parents' larger than life mansion, complete with gold rimmed swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna, to carefully planned secret blowouts set in Atlantic City and LA's hottest hot spots. They're experiences for the people invited, but for those who are not, it's quite impossible to get in. Name: Perry Saunders
Age: Seventeen
Theme Song: --
Personality: Intelligence is not wisdom, and therefore cannot been seen as a virtue, as it is so easy to misuse. Perry Saunders is the perfect example of this. A quick wit may be helpful in the classroom but it is as equally as handy for getting him out of some rather sticky situations. Lying is a skill that seems to come naturally to Perry, so much so that most people will believe almost anything he tells them, because most people are quite sure that Perry is a trusty-worthy human being. He's above such petty things. Or at least he should be. But somehow Perry got drawn into a world where lying was deemed perfectly acceptable. In fact, if you didn't most people would think that there was something wrong with you. So now it's gotten to the point where that almost defines him as a person. Perry no longer has any real personality, as it has been very well concealed. To some he is the perfect student, to others he is the drinking buddy, and to a worrying number he is the bastard behind their broken heart. And it's no good asking Perry to describe himself, he can no longer give a straight answer.
Claim to Fame: Perry's not your common 'high-flyer'. Most people are actually surprised to find out Perry's social status, simply because they somehow decided that he would be above such childish notions. Because he's 'such a nice boy.' Perry may appear to be that, but he's really not all that nice. People tend to confuse intelligent with benevolence, and that really seems to be the case with Perry. Yes, he may not be your stereotypical school jock, but he still does his best to keep up with the crème de la crème, partying to a level known only to the Hilton sisters and working his way through a large number of junior girls. It's possible that the fact he keeps this so well covered only increases Perry's popularity, because when trouble is a foot, no one ever thinks to blame Perry Saunders. And with his track record, that's very impressive.

Oh, how I missed roleplaying. And there's no better way to start again then with Deconstructing Venus. And that was just a random comment to tell you I will be joining, but that as of right now I don't have any idea about played bys. What's new?

Taken By: FAIT_Accompli
Name: Theodore "Theo" Alexander
Age: Eighteen
Theme Song: Everybody Knows - Leonard Cohen
Personality: Theo has been blessed with a life relatively free of tragedy, and it is perhaps this fact that can claim responsibility over his often taking it for granted. If Theo weren't the type to perpetually escape scrutiny from his fellow peers, he would probably be seen as something of a meek creature, perhaps with an opinion dancing along the edge of his tongue, but absalutely no outlet for it. And there might just be some truth in that, though Theo hasn't exactly made much of an effort in bettering himself. Most people wouldn't expect someone on the lower social rungs to have a superiority complex, but then Theo has made a habbit of being the exception on more than one occasion. Even if he made an effort to speak his mind, he doubts his fellow peers would care (he has absalutely no interest in anything related to TRL, The OC, or pop culture, so that pretty much rules all conversation topics out). And Theo has convinced himself that he doesn't care. That "his" opinions have more substanance than "their" opinions. That he cares about more relavent things like politics and the state of the social moral conscience, and so you see, this is where the superiority complex comes in. Because Theo fails to see the hypocracy in his own train of thought.
Hidden Agenda: Theo doesn't have any personal vendettas in need of some settling, which shouldn't be too much of a surprise, because why should he? Those of the so-called "in crowd" have absalutely no reason to bother themselves with him, and thus there has been too little interaction to merrit any grudges outside of being angry for constantly being ignored. And you can't very well be angry at something that you are partly responsible for. And you're probably thinking it would make very little sense for Theo to have a hidden agenda if he lacked a motive, and you're right. Which is why he doesn't have a hidden agenda, because he's really oblivious to the whole thing. And that's just the way he likes it.

Taken By: In Fair Verona
Name: Jesse Arden
Age: Eighteen
Theme Song: "The Fallen" - Franz Ferdinand
Personality: Armed with a sharp tongue and an equally intimidating pair of fists, Jesse Arden is the epitome of antagonism to most of Mansfield High's elite. To his teachers, Jesse Arden represents that particular student with potential however lacks the effort and motivation to apply and excel one-self. With his quick wit and self-assured independence, Jesse is able to hold his own against America's worst affliction, stupid people in large numbers. As a typically nonchalant fellow who lives by the terms "carpe diem", Jesse is mostly unconcerned with the trivial drama that affects most high-schoolers. Unfortunately, he has a penchant for finding of trouble - or rather - trouble often finds him. When he finds that his rhetoric is incomprehensible to those who attempt to bother him, Jesse has a bad habit of letting his fists do the talking. He's known to be quite aggressive when provoked, and many a fight have landed him in detention, earning himself the reputation of a supposed "bad boy". In reality, Jesse is just a lively, friendly boy to those who are equally accepting. Though he is painted as a bully, he is merely a bully to the bullies, an exacter of justice, if you will.
Claim to Fame/Hidden Agenda: Hidden Agenda? Not so much. Everybody is aware of Jesse's rather audacious forms of antagonism towards the high school elite, given how public his displays are. He doesn't particularly hate the "elite", however a feeling of righteous indignation is typically overwhelming when he witnesses any unwarranted or unfair behavior on their part. There's a nagging feeling to do something about it, right their wrong, give them a taste of their own medicine. If anything, this behavior is only indicative of what a rather sensitive person Jesse really is. This was his philosophy for the first three years of high school, however in the past year Jesse has found a new reason to despise those of the social heirarchy. His step-sister - Riley Barstow. The bane of his existence, and lives under the same roof as him. Jesse typically enjoys enacting minor annoyances towards Riley however manages to restrain himself from exacting any physical aggression towards her due to his sentiment for his mother. Jesse's a momma's boy at heart and enjoys seeing his mother happy, even at his own expense.

Name: Olivia 'Livvy' Connors
Age: Seventeen
Theme Song: 'Run' -Snow Patrol
Personality: Ascetic, Distraught, Inscrutable, Subtle, Sacrilegious, but almost Beguiling.
Hidden Agenda: Besides the vexation towards the world, in which Livvy finds her birth highly deplorable, she has no hidden agenda to speak of. She's proverbial for her depression acts and zealous motions towards cutting, anorexia, and suicide attempts. Olivia Connors has quite the record in Manfield. The tender age of fifteen seems to have been her down fall, or her record of degrading. Her father is somewhat reprehensible- Come his perverse malesting acts towards her. Livvy has become highly unaffable and isolationistic since she watched them cuff, and drive him away. With the low hierarchy of her ancestors and so on, nobody really seemed to solicitously show her a reason to live. In her dispondence to the world, the only hidden agenda Livvy holds is what is really going through her mind 24/7- Not that anyone would care. The 'higher' status of Mansfield were actually regaled to find that Livvy Connors actually had problems. And after so, she felt contemptible. Suicide has always been enticing to poor Livvy- Having nobody around for her. Her malice for her adversary: The world and 'higher-status', shows often, and her defiant attitude has yet to be vanquished by the many councilors she has seen in the past two years. There has yet to be a decent person since Riki (Her best friend who O.Ded and died last year), and Livvy wonders if there ever will be.. Which might as well be written in her so-called 'hidden agenda'.

Name: Garrett Cruckenberg
Age: Eighteen
Theme Song: The Game - Trapt
Personality: Animated, Bold, Brazen, Buoyant, Comical, Laid-back
Hidden Agenda: Garrett doesn't have one. He doesn't care what happens to the elite. He doesn't believe in social class, everyone is of the same equality. Just because these people have money, they suddenly have the right to label and judge people without even knowing them? Karma is one thing that he does believe in, and he knows that they will get what's coming to them, Garrett doesn't need to interfere with that. He gets enjoyment from watching them freak out over unimportant things like one of their ten 20,000 dolloar limit credit cards is full, oh no! Most of them have never had a real problem, so Garrett doesn't have sympathy, giving them the attention is what they want. He holds his sympathy for those that deserve it, some, not many, of those are members of the Elite. There are those who have experienced life, maybe some of them are ones he's been judging as brainless jerks, so he's trying not to label them, it makes him the exact thing he hates, not one difference. I need to stop acting like I know them, he'll tell himself, being a better person will get him to better places, or so he thinks. So basically, his only agenda is to stop stooping to their level.

Taken By: Old Wolf
Name: Cynthia *Cindy* Devon
Age: 17
Theme Song: "Time" - Chantal Kreviazuk
Personality: It’s interesting to see how Cindy’s switch from one of the queen bees of high school to a disconnected outcast changed her personality inside out. What gets Cindy the most is how every event or change that took place in her life since last year has connected back to a singular central source: Tray. She shocks herself as she looks at how different she was before Tray was born, a flippant snob who immersed herself in the he-said-she-said drama of high school, and then looks once more at the new person, the woman, the mother, that she has become now. It’s also seems odd when she thinks to herself that having a baby has not at all altered her sense of self, but rather accented and given her the resources to change. She does not feel any older than seventeen. She is not her mother, though she sometimes wishes she had as much patience. She has learned to manage with what she has and discard the baggage of elitism which brought her down before Tray, but most importantly she’s learned to be proud of herself. She managed to bring to her life the one thing that gives her more joy than she ever felt was possible to feel.
Hidden Agenda: Looking in from the outside has opened Cindy’s eyes to the huge picture of what life in high school is really about. Once upon a time, high school was simply about the party that the quarterback was holding at his place or the hate letter that the head cheerleader stuffed in your best friend’s locker yesterday. Come to think of it, there was a time when her best friend was the head cheerleader. Cindy has learned that high school is described in a much more simple, much broader statement; stay alive. With her newfound knowledge, it makes her sick when she overhears one of “them” talking about how their parents won’t let them get the $400 gown for prom that they so rightly deserve. Who freakin’ cares? She would love to see the truth shoved in their face. And then, just for fun, she might pour ketchup into one of their Louis Vuitton purses.
Extra Curriculars: French Club, Choir. She was part of the cheerleading team, but then she was cut with the excuse that doing rigorous routines might be harmful to her then unborn baby. She never bothered to try out again afterwards.

Taken By: *Sarahrooie*
Name: Juliette 'Jules' Fitzpatrick
Age: Eighteen
Theme Song: --
Personality: It could be expected for Jules Fitzpatrick to be newly introverted, a fragile flower in a dirty world, to quote Aladdin, a diamond in the rough. But Jules isn't that, she retains the edge that got her to the top. She is still not meek and mild, but head-strong and just a little malicious. Because like the best of people Jules is a hypocrite, fighting an ongoing battle against the cruelty in high school, while being rather cruel herself. There is no real difference between mocking someone because they are not popular enough and mocking people because they're too popular. But Jules has always preferred to see things in black and white, and no one has been brave enough to tell her any different. That mean-streak that made her such and effective 'a-lister' has hung around longer than it was needed, and it still needs frequent workouts.
Hidden Agenda: Jules Fitzpatrick's fall from grace is an urban legend. Most believe that simply one day she was turned on, one of the beautiful people throw out by their own kind. Jules has never bothered to correct this common belief. In fact it's been floating around for such a long time that she almost believes it herself. But in reality there was a very different moral to the story. It wasn't about how even the most popular people are torn to pieces for others amusement. Instead Jules simply decided that she didn't want to be the belle of the ball anymore, and so mid-sophomore year removed herself from all her social activities. And from her former life in general. It was rumoured that she was having a mid-life crisis, or an affair with the football coach, or that her father had lost all his money. None of the above were true, it had simply been down to a change of heart. Jules didn't want her social circle to be no more than vapid cheerleaders that she didn't like. She was fed up with having sex with the quarterback she knew had had relationships with numerous numbers of her 'friends'. She may have been at the top of the social ladder, but she was quickly climbing back now. Of course, Jules isn't a nobody now, but in the past years Jules has definitely not regained her status, and really does prefer it that way. The real problem lies with the fact that now she's seen what its like to be on the inside she despises the whole idea of the clique even more. And it angers her that it's still there.

Taken By: DreamOn777
Name: Eva Hudson
Age: 17
Theme Song: "Age of Consent" - New Order
Personality: To call Eva Hudson 'normal' would be a horrible mistake. Her first word besides 'mama' and 'dada' was 'Tuttie' as in the popular now syndicated 'Facts of Life'. On her first day of kindergarten, she wore an 'American Graffiti' t-shirt that was so big, it looked like a bizarre free flowing dress. By the time she was nine, she knew every word to any Quentin Tarrantino film ever made. She's slightly weird to put it lightly. But Eva has never been lost. She's always known wanted to do with her life and she's had it all planned out since she was a kid. Eva Hudson will be the next big American filmmaker. She will change the world. She's be a Sofia Coppola without the famous father. She's dabble a bit in documentary to get started and then jump into dramadies. Of course she'll write her own screenplays to begin with. Maybe she'll try to do the Woody Allen and star in a few. Then when she hits it big, she'll make and break the careers of all the famous actors and actresses. She'll never do a blockbuster. She'll travel around the world and come back with an award winning movie. Eva will not be sidetracked. She will do it. She's determined and anyone who gets in her way will be ever so politely knocked down. There are many words people use to describe Eva Hudson: peppy, oddball, innocent, driven, obsessive, weirdo, but she doesn't mind any of it. Faith in herself is all she needs. And all those people who thought she was weird once upon time will shake their heads in confusion when she makes it big…on her terms.
Hidden Agenda: Eva is not a naturally mean spirited person. Actually she's pretty nice and peppy. She's never really cared about what other people are doing. She never cared about those elite kids with their credit cards and fancy cars. They rolled their eyes at her and chuckled but she never cared. They weren't worth her time. She had bigger and better things to do. And then it changed. Eva Hudson's first boyfriend and so far the only love of her life, Andrew Peterson, an obsessive neurotic Seth Cohen-ish comic book nerd and uber-talented upcoming artist changed it all. The elite group would never leave Andrew alone. They had picked on him all his life. Eva tried to make him see they didn't matter. She had no idea how bothered he was by them. He tried to commit suicide last school year on the last day of school. He tied a rope to the rafters in the boy's lockeroom and tried to hang himself. Luckily, someone found him before he was dead. They rushed him to the hospital and as the ambulance drove away, the elite kids shook their heads and chuckled. His parents sent him away to a 'place where he could heal'. Eva went to visit him last month and asked him why he did. He told her it was them. That was the last she saw of him. His parents moved out to New Mexico and took him with them, but Eva swore she'd get revenge on those people…those people who drove the only boy she ever loved to near death and then laughed as he was driven away.

Name: Casey Lovelex
Age: Eighteen
Theme Song:
Personality: Casey has quite the opinion of anything, and usually a strong one although he rarely expresses it to anyone who doesn't ask of it. He's learnt to keep his mouth shut, as he opinions would then never be questioned or made fun of. Instead, his quips of sexuality and immature jokes makes him an obvious part of any school pranks. Whether its the yearly seinor prank or little ones on the juniors he's usually finding a way to terrorize students. Although, he takes great pride into telling everyone that in his own eyes, everyone is equal. So yes, the prom queen could very well get her chair sticky with clear glue.
Hidden Agenda: Usually in one of these cases it has something to do with revenge, or even just to see them getting dethrowed would be the equivilent of an amazing orgasim. Casey has just joined them because they're easier to get along with and have more of an open mind to his practical jokes, which they may very well need. Being with the "losers" will benefit him in the long run, and in the end Casey is a selfish person. Or as he thinks, everyone is selfish and hypocrites they just havn't had the intelligance to admit it yet.

Name: Ella Murrel
Age: Eighteen
Theme Song: Never Know -- Jack Johnson
Personality: Guileful, Astute, Vivacious, Sharp, Candid, and Audacious.
Claim to Fame/Hidden Agenda: Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and everything would be a tad more easier to explain if this literary proverb was applicable to the festering pool of animosity/malevolence Ella Murrel happily expels towards each and every parcel of Mansfield's very own tip-top, aristocratic beautiful society (BS, BullShit, coined and copyrighted by Ella, fyvm); needless to say, it isn't. No, Ella's heart was not barbarically snapped into two little, tiny-weeny shards by the hands of a BS boy; no, Ella's poodle was not run over by a BS bitch in an SUV approximately sixty-two times larger than she is; no, Ella is not a former chapter of the elite coterie outcasted for doing something so-not-elite and, no, Ella is not, in particular, treated any worse than the person sitting next to her. Rather, the vindication behind Ella's fanatical acrimony lies in one fact: she likes to fuck with people. It's fun. Yes, it's stern, feral, and rather inhuman, but nevertheless, Ella secures an explicit high from fucking with people, and if acquiring this explicit high translates into fucking with Orange County's very own gilt-edged? Then welcome to The OC, bitch; here's a fist for your face.

Taken By: Kiss_Me_Kate323
Name: Katelyn Wallace
Age: 17
Theme Song: "Sunshine" by Spiderbait
Personality: Who really knows what Katelyn Wallace really is. After seventeen years of sadness, she's not the same person she once was. Katelyn looks at the world around her through bitter eyes. She holds grudges towards people who didn't even mean to hurt her, she has so much anger, and doesn't know where to direct it. She holds the most anger with herself. Over the last few years, she's come to terms with who she is, there was a time that she would have done anything for popularity and the finer things in life, this is the thing she hates most about anything. The fact that before her life went to pieces, she actually wanted to be friends with those useless assholes.
Hidden Agenda: To be able to know why exactly Katelyn hates the "elite" you will have to find out about her past. Everything started when her mother married a man named Daniel, who, at the time, was lively and eager. But after having their first daughter, the second child, his presence faded, along with every last shred of self-esteem and ambition. He had grown up with a father who favored his daughters, so Daniel decided to fix that mistake by favoring any sons he would have. Another good child passed before Katelyn came into the world. By this time, her parent's marriage was on the rocks, her two brothers were constantly making death threats to eachother, and her sister was just as confused as Katelyn would come to be. Daniel had gone through law school, but decided too late that he didn't want to be an attorney. When you're stuck at a job that you hate, a sizable income is hard to come by. The only way the Wallace family could keep a roof over the heads and food in their stomaches was to constantly borrow money, which brought up another problem, Katelyn always worrying about finances, a thing that no child should ever have to think about. A few years after all this, Katelyn's eldest brother was in a car accident, and was paralyzed from the waist down. He had always been her hero, but now, she saw him in a completely different light. After months in the hospital, he was still able to graduate high school with the rest of his class, he carried on with life. Katelyn looked up to him with great power, but that all came crashing down when it was found out five or so years later that he had a pornography and drug addiction that had driven him to break the law. Life was harder than it had ever been, her still-married parents seemingly hated each other, Katelyn wasn't allowed to see her brother because she was under 18, all she had was herself. Her mom had been her best friend, but that went to hell when her father left a year and a half later. So here she is, still not allowed to see her brother, not on speaking terms with her mother, and a complete stranger to her father. Katelyn has lost the ability to trust anyone, she needs someone who can listen without trying to analyze her or fix her problems, which is why she hates the group who call themselves "The Elite" like the are royalty. Half of them look at her like she is crazy and belongs in a mental hospital, and the other half looks at her like she is some sort of charity case who's broken heart would be healed if she were allowed to socialize with their perfect selves. So it's not like she has set off on some mission to bring down the Elite, Katelyn just can't stand them, and wishes most of them dead.

Taken By: Old Wolf
Name: Roy Walker
Age: 17
Theme Song: "If You Only Knew" - David Ford
Personality: Those who know Roy, intimately or merely by acquaintance, will tell you of how he is one of the sweetest and most considerate human beings they will ever have met. Most of these people will only tell you this after they tell you he’s retarded. And in this instance they are not simply making fun of him; they mean it in the most literal sense of the words. Roy has autism and is slow, always has been and most likely always will be, however his compassion for humanity is almost as obvious as his handicap. Roy is kinder than any teenager his age should be, especially in order to survive the trials and tribulations of high school which Roy is not exactly an expert at doing. It’s really not his fault however, and sadly that’s what those who pick on him tend to overlook the most.
Hidden Agenda: Roy? Hidden Agenda? Are you trying to be funny, or does it just come naturally? Roy would run for president (and win) before he even considered making a conscious attempt to turn the tables on the high school hierarchy. In fact, if you were to bring the subject of the social ladder up to Roy, he’d probably ask you where this ladder was so he could ask it questions.
Extra Curriculars: Well, um, he’s part of one of the special ed classes at school.

So Letty, we don't organize any LI's before we start the actual game? For 'infatuation,' should we just make it random, and include friendships and family with that?

Name: Veronica ViGarro
Age: 17
Theme Song: "Hi-Speed Soul" by Nada Surf
Personality: When people look at Veronica, they see money, popularity, and good looks, so naturally, they assume that she is conceited, spoiled, and vain. But she's not what she seems. She puts up a front so that people won't see the underlying insecurity. She wants people to think she has it all together, and to be intimidated by her persona of popularity and social power. She's not a rude or mean person, but she acts like she is in order to fit in with the in-crowd. She is afraid that if she lets people see the real her, she will lose her status.
Claim to Fame: She's the heiress to a family Business Empire. She the town's equivilant of Paris Hilton, without the sluttiness and annoying canine collection. Her birth mother was a normal woman but the numerous step mothers she's had since have all been barely legal models and actresses.

Taken By: x*Brooke*x
Extra Curriculars: Student Council Secretary and Yearbook.
Infatuation:
PB: Valentia Zeylaeva
