| Hannah "What do you know of it?" she asked suddenly, turning around completely in her chair to watch Drake as he examined a piece of artwork on the wall. Hannah possessed very little knowledge of the incident, having only heard bits and pieces through various sources because for whatever reason Jennifer had been tightlipped about the details – thankfully, mages, still people, gossiped and she'd picked up on a few things – so if Drake had some info to share, she was all ears. Especially since her dutiful scouring of reference material was getting her basically nowhere. Too bad the internet didn't exist anymore; google would've been infinitely more helpful. She really would've liked to have some insight to provide at the meeting at Jennifer's house later that evening. Hannah pushed the book aside and stood. "This wasn't the work of anyone you know, was it? Is there some gigantic vampire conspiracy going on… or something?" As she spoke, she circled around Drake but maintained a radius of about two feet between them strictly for safety reasons, still mindful of what he was and not quite there with trusting him. "…And how did you find out about what happened, anyway? Are you involved?" __________________ | |||

Still, Antonio did not seem to be angered or extremely hurt that Miles still held animosity towards him after all this time. "I know you don't like looking at the past Miles, but sometimes it's necessary to remember what has been if you don't want to repeat the mistakes in the future." There was nothing wrong with looking back in to the past for Antonio, so long as they did not include any trivial, nonsensical things. Drake He continued staring at the abstract art of paint patches that was supposed to form a face. Or so Drake had assumed through the black and gray painting. While Hannah had circled around him, Drake did not seem to mind, nor pay attention to the footsteps went to and fro behind and beside him. However, he wasn't as intrigued by the painting as much as the events that had taken place of late. He wasn't involved with the recent killings despite having heard the news coming from Casimiro. Drake wouldn't be surprised if Louis was involved with it in any shape or form. As far as the question goes on if Drake had been involved in the recent killings...well...wasn't that a tempting thought. Helping another vampire destroy another mage. There were some rumors that he had heard of not only the vampire being completely destroyed by some source of sunlight or fire, the mage had been charred beyond recognition, although some of her body parts remain. "I guess one can be amazed at how news travels these days. People can pick up anything and twist them around." He slowly turned his head, looking back at Hannah. "You don't have to stand so far away. We've already met twice and I haven't taken your blood, haven't I?" Yet.

If it wasn't for him, the things he had done in the past would never have happened. One thing in particular concerning his younger sister. If Antonio revealed her identity sooner, what he did would never have happened."Whatever," he returned icily. "What do you want from me, Antonio?" __________________ ღ formerly shadow kissed

Almost the same tone he had taken up the newly changed lycan. Then again, Antonio, dare say, was impressed that Miles still held that one grudge on failing to tell him that the girl he had pounced and killed like a monster was his younger sister. Then again, it wasn't Antonio's fault. He only told Miles to watch out for a woman wielding a gun and axe. Human interaction with the lycans can only go so far. "Time spent together, I suppose. But I guess you still haven't gotten over that one incident. Still, perhaps it might be a good lesson for you in case you have a similar reaction to that fire mage."

| Moderator Support Team ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Miles Antonio had reopened old wounds. If he had just told him that the girl was his sister, he wouldn't have killed her, it was simple as that. Obviously, he thinks that it wasn't his fault. It wasn't entirely, but it just made him angry that he didn't take some of the responsibility. More anger showed in his features when he mentioned Aya."You leave her out of this," he replied. "I actually care about her." he added with gritted teeth. __________________ ღ formerly shadow kissed | |||

| Elite Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Antonio Letting out a hearty laugh at Miles' anger, Antonio leaned up against the street light post. Miles' aggravation reminded Antonio of the early days where Miles had not been able to control himself with his newly acquired lycan tendencies. "Relax, I'm not here to go after her. If I wanted to, she would have been dead at sea. Contrary to popular belief, I'm not a complete monster, Miles." Unlike some others. He added as an after thought. Although knowing Miles, if he said it outright, there was no doubt that the two would be in a melee with one another. "I admit though, she is an interesting character just talking to her. A bit reserved, a little too quiet there, but interesting." But when Miles added that he cared about the fire mage, Antonio raised his eyebrows for a brief second. He only had a slight idea on the interaction between Miles and Aya, mostly from what Aya was willing to tell him. There were just bits and pieces, one being the night she was almost killed and that Miles was amongst one of those that brought her in. The other was a more serious, yet interesting thought she had put out there. That one of the reasons why she had left the city without warning, and left Paris without a word was simply because there were things she didn't want to drag him in to. Simple words, though the meaning of it could be quite cynical. Even asking that fire mage about it got him nowhere. "Ah yes, the two of you care for one another in a very bizzare way, I suppose. It makes me wonder, though, if you're protecting her more for the sake of not repeating the same mistake as you did with your younger sister then." | |||

It was a mistake on his part, one he would never forgive himself for. It would not have happened if Antonio didn't withold the truth from him. Miles hadn't seen his sister since she was six, so he didn't know it was her. He feels terrible about it to this very day and Antonio coming here just brought it all up again."I would never do that to Aya," he responded. "A mistake is not worth repeating, especially a really horrible one. I would never let history repeat itself on someone I care about." __________________ ღ formerly shadow kissed

Then again, it's not like there's anything you could have done. Even if she did survive, then what? " Antonio took a step back when Miles made a move, possibly an attempt to strike him. "Now I'm not trying to provoke you in to doing something the both of us would regret. Just stating facts." Pulling a cigarette out of his pocket, he reached for a lighter in the other and lit up the rolled paper. "Knowing you, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't kill the fire mage. But what would you do if she had went against the others in your pack? Or even you for that matter?" He held out the cigarette box, offering Miles one. "Or at least after she goes on that witch hunt for the vampire that killed her father." He muttered as he puffed out a smoke. __________________ Last edited by ~+Yamiko : 10-16-2009 at 04:07 PM.

Aya reminded him a lot of Astrid in that moment, powerful but prone to tantrums. And Astrid was dead, fallen to her own hubris. The lights went out but still he didn’t move. He wasn’t about to belittle her anger, some of it righteous, and some of it not. For all the mistakes he’d made regarding Meg he’d learned that to fall into that trap was about the worst thing any man could do. “Look,” he said, drawing in a deep breath before he spoke. “I know some serious shit happened to you most of which I’ll never fully understand because I didn’t live it. But, and I mean this in the most respectful way possible miss Medea, we all have our crosses to bear and you’re not the only one to have suffered under the hands of Aglionby and his kind, I know a lot of people who’ve had it just as bad as you. So, if we’re free to be allies now, I’d love to take that tour,” Jennifer Jen nodded and made her way towards cabinets. “What do you think?” she questioned about the situation and the letter which she’d given to Kiara to read. “I’d like to know where you stand, what you think we should do before the masses get here because in all honesty there are only a handful of people I actually care about, only a handful of opinions I’ll actually give any credence to and you’re a lot more level headed than I am,” Ooc: Em, do you want to have Victoria eat with Louis and would you mind if I sent Paige to Casimiro as a gift from Louis? __________________ Each game of chess MandyMeans there's one less Variation left to be played

| Elite Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Aya She was about to correct Daniel that he mispronounced her last name, or make a comment on how he had at least someone to accompany him upon his travels while she had to force herself to run off at such an early age, jumping from one place to another. Then again, in later years, it was more of a choice. When one is left to fend for herself at eight years of age, they are still, after all, a child, confused and scared of what to really do. Still, that issue could be dealt with at another time. One of these days, there might be unsettling meetings with those who have attempted to help here in the past. But for now, there were other things to worry about. With a small chuckle, she looked up at Daniel with a small smile on her face. "I just hope you meant yourself and I, rather than speaking for the rest of your pack." Miles was perhaps the only person she could trust completely in these sort of situations. Her encounter with a few of the lycans as of late had been nothing more than stingy. | |||

There were times, many times lately where he wished that wasn’t the case. He had no delusions of grandeur, and he didn’t want to lead. Following Vaughn in age he was expected to fall in line and to be ready to take up the banner, but he didn’t want it. He recognized the failings in himself and they were many and he could see himself failing the pack in a different way than he felt Vaughn was, but failing all the same. So he hoped something would change, figured that it wouldn’t and kept on anyway. He offered a smile, easing his shoulders down and relaxing. “Believe me if the pack knew I was doing this I’d be in more trouble than I can handle so,” the grin never faltered but it was worn around the edges, the infighting in the pack both romantic and social had worn him down in ways he’d not expected. “It’s all going to be alright,” he said with more conviction than her felt. “No one expects anyone to challenge the vampires let alone you and me, no one even knows we know each other. So, how about that tour?” __________________ Each game of chess MandyMeans there's one less Variation left to be played

Placing on her hat, Aya recalled the awkward meeting she and Daniel had back in Paris, and how several low talks had caused quite a stir between Hannah and Daniel in the end, raising some suspicion. It took Aya a number of tries while she was still in Paris to assure Hannah that it was all in the case of mistaken identity. Even after the assurances, however, Aya was certain that Hannah still remained suspicious about the situation. "I'm pretty sure most won't want to challenge them now, given the fact that their emperor's dead...and guess who's taking the throne next." She adjusted her hat, giving Daniel a polite smile, hoping to change the subject. "Right, the tour. Well, more like wandering about, really. I have only been here for two days and didn't really get to see much."

In typical vampire pomp they’d swathed trees in dark velvet and left bodies in their wake. There was never a vampire party he’d ever heard of that didn’t involve a lot of people dead. There was a lycan missing. The packed said nothing but the tension was palatable, everyone thought but no one said that they suspected that Ian had been caught and snacked on and discarded. For his sake Daniel hoped he was discarded. He couldn’t think of someone as weak willed as Ian as a vampire slave. He’d never make it through with his sanity intact. “You lead, I’ll follow, “ __________________ Each game of chess MandyMeans there's one less Variation left to be played

Though the thought of it was unlikely in the reality most of the churches, it was nice to dream and hope that maybe the churches she stayed in have some sort of secret beyond their interiors. Walking down the aisle, hearing Daniel's footsteps following closer, she tried to not think so much about the whole situation with the vampire and mage and their murder, or that Louis had moved a step up in to becoming the leader of the vampire group. Still, she wasn't so sure what to talk to Daniel about on a personal level that didn't involve the situation she was in. But what could she talk about with him without being much of a smart alec? Pushing one of the doors open, Aya noticed the spiral of steps that led up to the bell and clock tower.
